Embattled Democrat <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/tennessee-dem-candidate-aftyn-behn-i-dont-want-children-i-want-power">Aftyn Behn</a>, currently vying for a House seat in Tennessee&#8217;s 7th Congressional District, attempted to do some damage control after an audio recording of her saying that she &#8220;hates&#8221; everything about Nashville went viral — and her defense may have made the situation worse.
Behn, appearing on the Breaking Points podcast, fielded a question about her comment and claimed that she couldn&#8217;t possibly hate country music because she was &#8220;conceived after a George Strait concert.&#8221;

One of the hosts began by repeating her previous comment for context: &#8220;Apparently you said, &#8216;I hate the city, I hate the Tennessee bachelorettes, I hate pedal taverns, I hate country music, I hate all the things that make Nashville &#8230; I hate it.'&#8221;
&#8220;The bachelorette part is a little bit fair,&#8221; one of the others joked. &#8220;So we won&#8217;t make you weigh in on that, Aftyn.&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s so fair,&#8221; another agreed.
&#8220;But what would you like to say about this clip that&#8217;s floating around?&#8221;
&#8220;So, I&#8217;m going to say something I haven&#8217;t said,&#8221; Behn replied. &#8220;And I think it&#8217;s funny, I hope my parents don&#8217;t kill me, but I do not hate country music. I was conceived after a George Strait concert, so &#8230; I feel personally attacked.&#8221;

Behn also raised eyebrows with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/tennessee-dem-candidate-aftyn-behn-i-dont-want-children-i-want-power">another audio clip</a> in which she could be heard describing a recurring dream that she had discussed with her therapist.
&#8220;My therapist always asks me to transcribe my dreams when they happen, and the recurring dream I’ve had is standing up in a cafeteria full of women — I don’t know why I was there or whatever — and saying, ‘I don’t want children. I want power!’ And just screaming it at the top of my lungs,&#8221; she recalled.

Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) threatened members of the U.S. military on Monday, warning that there would be &#8220;consequences&#8221; if they went along with the War Department&#8217;s plan to investigate Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) over his participation in a video that appeared to encourage insurrection.
Gallego spoke with CNN host Kasie Hunt on Monday&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;The Arena with Kasie Hunt,&#8221; where he defended the video in which Kelly and several others called on members of the military to refuse &#8220;unlawful orders&#8221; — while clearly insinuating that President Donald Trump either would or had already issued such orders. He then lashed out at the War Department for calling out Kelly, who, as a retired Navy commander, is still subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), and promised retribution to any who went along with it.

Hunt asked what was Gallego&#8217;s &#8220;level of trust in the U.S. military justice system, if it were to get that far, to handle this?&#8221;
The Arizona Senator said that he did trust the system, but that if it were to go too far, members of the military who aided in any such action against Kelly would do well to remember that someday Trump would no longer be in office and could not &#8220;protect&#8221; them.

&#8220;Donald Trump is going to be gone in a couple years. And if you’re part of the military that is going after sitting senators, sitting members of Congress, and part of the weaponization of government, there will be consequences, without a doubt,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;I think there’s going to be a lot of officers that are part of this potential tribunal, if they want to call it that, that will be looking over their shoulders,&#8221; he claimed. &#8220;Because they know that Donald Trump will be gone, and they will not have that protection. They’re going to have to do the safest thing possible, which is follow the Constitution of the United States, and you’ll be fine.&#8221;

Dem Senator Doubles Down On Insurrection Video, Threatens Military Over Plan To Go After Kelly

&#8220;Morning Joe&#8221; host Joe Scarborough laid into Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) on Monday, criticizing her defense of a video in which she and several others in her party had actively encouraged service members to refuse &#8220;unlawful&#8221; orders from President Donald Trump.
Scarborough&#8217;s issue was not the fact that Slotkin, a former CIA analyst — and several others who had served in the military — had made the video insinuating that Trump either had already or would soon issue unlawful orders and telling military service members that they had a responsibility to refuse them. He did not take issue with the fact that she was defending the video, but rather, he was upset that she&#8217;d been unable to answer a specific question about it to his satisfaction during a recent interview.

Scarborough was responding to Slotkin&#8217;s answer to host Martha Raddatz — on ABC&#8217;s &#8220;This Week&#8221; —  when she admitted that she didn&#8217;t actually know of any illegal orders that President Trump had given.
&#8220;I’m sorry, with all due respect, wrong answer. President of the United States, the commander-in-chief does have wide latitude, just does. And the Senate can take that up. But he has wide latitude on strikes. Ask Barack Obama on drone strikes. Ask George W. Bush on drone strikes,&#8221; Scarborough said, referencing the Trump administration&#8217;s actions against narco-terrorists.

&#8220;But where we know the president has said, I am going to give illegal orders to people in the military, is when he was on Air Force One coming back, I forget where he was coming back from, but he said, ‘I can send the Marines. I can send the Army. I can send the Air Force. I can send the Coast Guard into any city I want to control crime. And the courts can’t do anything about it.’ That’s illegal. It’s just illegal,&#8221; Scarborough continued, insisting that Trump had said he&#8217;d give illegal orders despite the fact that thus far, he had not done so.
&#8220;And so Democrats kind of need to – if the president has already said, I’m going to commit this illegal act, then I’m kind of surprised they don’t have the answer when they go on a Sunday show for that,&#8221; he complained.

Joe Scarborough Furious Dem Can’t Defend Insurrection Video

CBS News anchor Margaret Brennan claimed on Sunday that nearly half of the illegal immigrants being deported by President Donald Trump&#8217;s administration had neither been charged nor convicted of any crimes — but the Department of Homeland Security took a different view of things.
Brennan laid out the situation on &#8220;Face the Nation,&#8221; where she explained, &#8220;The number of detainees held by U.S. immigration and customs enforcement has reached a record high of nearly 66,000, according to data released Friday by DHS.&#8221;
&#8220;Earlier this month, our Camilo Montoya-Galvez reported that roughly half of those in custody have no criminal charges or convictions on their record,&#8221; she added, claiming that they were &#8220;being held solely because of alleged civil violations of immigration law &#8230; 48% of current detainees lack criminal charges or convictions.&#8221;
She went on to claim that the number of &#8220;non-criminal detainees&#8221; held by immigration officers had gone up more than 2,000% since Trump took office. She went on to share the most recent polling data stating that President Trump was slightly underwater on his handling of immigration — 45% approved, and 55% disapproved.

The DHS struck back in an X post, however, and contested the data Brennan had put forth.

Does CBS really want us to release accused murderers and rapists back on the streets?&#8221; the DHS post read. &#8220;But @FaceTheNation is right about one thing: our deportation operations are at a RECORD HIGH.&#8221;

A number of others pushed back as well, criticizing Brennan&#8217;s efforts to frame the illegal actions of illegal immigrants as &#8220;less than&#8221; when compared to others who had broken the law.
&#8220;100 percent of them are in the U.S. illegally. The real headline should be &#8216;Biden and Mayorkas allowed tens of thousands of violent criminal illegals to remain in the country,&#8217; but these propagandists aren’t about to go there,&#8221; <a href="https://x.com/ThePowersThatBe/status/1992939864074166750">one said</a>.

CBS Runs With Usual Narrative On Trump Admin Deportations, But DHS Isn’t Having It: ‘Wrong!’

War Secretary Pete Hegseth called out the members of Congress involved in making a now-viral video that openly encouraged members of the United States military to undermine the orders of their Commander in Chief, President Donald Trump.
Hegseth labeled the six lawmakers the &#8220;Seditious Six&#8221; in a post on X — in which he shared plans for the War Department to investigate one of them under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).

The video in question featured Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Rep. Maggie Goodlander (D-NH), Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO), and Sen. Mark Key (D-AZ) calling on members of the military to seriously consider whether or not orders coming from the White House were &#8220;lawful.&#8221; All but Slotkin, a former CIA analyst, previously served in the military.

&#8220;Five of the six individuals in that video do not fall under @DeptofWar jurisdiction (one is CIA and four are former military but not &#8216;retired,&#8217; so they are no longer subject to UCMJ),&#8221; he continued. &#8220;However, Mark Kelly (retired Navy Commander) is still subject to UCMJ—and he knows that. As was announced, the Department is reviewing his statements and actions, which were addressed directly to all troops while explicitly using his rank and service affiliation—lending the appearance of authority to his words. Kelly’s conduct brings discredit upon the armed forces and will be addressed appropriately.&#8221;

In an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/war-department-reviewing-serious-allegations-against-sen-mark-kelly-after-dem-military-message">earlier statement</a>, the Department of War announced plans to &#8220;review&#8221; allegations against Kelly, who is still subject to the UCMJ because he is a retired Naval officer.
The statement explained, &#8220;The Department of War reminds all individuals that military retirees remain subject to the UCMJ for applicable offenses, and federal laws such as 18 U.S.C. § 2387 prohibit actions intended to interfere with the loyalty, morale, or good order and discipline of the armed forces. Any violations will be addressed through appropriate legal channels.&#8221;

‘Despicable, Reckless, And False’: Hegseth Coins New Nickname For Dems Pushing Military Insurrection

Comedian and HBO host Bill Maher attempted to claim that President Donald Trump has largely been treated like any other president — but Lara Trump, the president&#8217;s daughter-in-law, stopped him in his tracks.
Maher spoke with Trump — the wife of President Trump&#8217;s second son, Eric — on his &#8220;Club Random&#8221; podcast, and she made the point that her entire family had been put through the wringer over almost a decade. Maher pushed back, arguing that it was simply a part of being a public figure — and that it may have been more pronounced simply because he was the President of the United States — but Lara Trump thought otherwise.

&#8220;Not like this, Bill,&#8221; Trump insisted.
Maher still made it clear that he wasn&#8217;t buying it: &#8220;Oh, please.&#8221;
&#8220;Really!? When did you see Obama and Clinton&#8217;s residences, personal private property, raided by the FBI?&#8221; Trump asked. &#8220;When did they have indictments against them to put them in jail for the rest of their life that everybody can agree were a little outrageous, Bill? Like, really!?&#8221;

Maher agreed that the raid on Mar-a-Lago was probably &#8220;over the top,&#8221; but went on to say that if he didn&#8217;t want his bathroom raided, Trump &#8220;probably shouldn&#8217;t be keeping files in [the] bathroom.&#8221;
Eric Trump faced a similar line of questioning in early November when &#8220;The Daily T&#8221; host Tim Stanley asked, &#8220;Some of the siege that you faced — and I understand why it was very personal and distressing — can you accept that some of it was just people legitimately disagreeing with your father’s policies and using every lever available, as people generally do in politics, in order to push back?&#8221;
The president&#8217;s son said that he certainly understood some attacks would come with public life, but argued it was &#8220;different than raiding somebody’s house. That’s different than subpoenaing their children with the intent to literally try and bankrupt a company,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;That’s different than calling every financial institution and telling them to debank a person. That’s different than making up dirty dossiers saying that there were golden you-know-whats happening with prostitution when it was totally fabricated and paid by the opposition.&#8221;
