<p>The Department of Justice has dropped charges against a doctor who was prosecuted on spurious privacy charges after he sounded the alarm about transgender procedures being performed on children at his hospital.</p>
<p>Eithan Haim provided evidence to a journalist that Texas Children&#8217;s Hospital was performing transgender medical procedures on children as young as 11, despite the hospital&#8217;s claims to the contrary. He was charged with violating HIPAA, even though he did not provide any personal identifiable information. Haim&#8217;s revelations helped lead to Texas&#8217;s state legislature banning the procedures.</p>
<p>He was slated to go to trial next month, where he would face up to 10 years in prison.</p>
<p>Judge David Hittner of the Southern District of Texas signed an order dismissing charges on Friday.</p>
<p>Haim was on the phone with The Daily Wire when he heard the news from his wife. &#8220;It&#8217;s over! He signed it! I love you!,&#8221; he said to his wife. &#8220;It&#8217;s fucking over!&#8221;</p>
<p>A career Department of Justice prosecutor, Jennifer B. Lowery, had continued to move forward with a trial despite President Donald Trump&#8217;s executive order opposing gender ideology and the weaponization of government. On Thursday, Lowery relented and filed a <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.txsd.1962051/gov.uscourts.txsd.1962051.144.0.pdf">motion</a> to dismiss after facing pressure from Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) and others.</p>
<p>The Biden Justice Department had sought a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/legal-team-for-trans-surgery-whistleblower-rips-biden-doj-for-seeking-gag-order">gag order</a> against him, but Haim himself broke his silence on Thursday to call attention to the apparent insubordination of a career DOJ prosecutor.</p>

<p>&#8220;[T]he acting US Attorney is running cover while this weaponized prosecution is being accelerated behind closed doors in direct violation of the President&#8217;s Executive Order,&#8221; he <a href="https://x.com/EithanHaim/status/1882150819883016495">wrote</a> on X. &#8220;Whatever the cost, whatever the sacrifice, I will not give in&#8230; we cannot back down because whatever we give up comes at a cost &#8211; a cost which will be paid by our children. The future we give them is whatever we are willing to fight for in the present moment.&#8221;</p>
<p>Prosecutors had continued with the case even as its factual premise <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-new-info-destroys-doj-case-against-trans-surgery-whistleblower-lawyers-say">fell apart</a>, leading them to amend the charges. Haim previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-doctor-blew-the-whistle-on-his-hospitals-transgender-clinic-now-the-feds-are-trying-to-ruin-his-life">told</a> The Daily Wire how federal agents knocked on his door and derailed his life, and why he stuck to his guns.</p>
<p>Haim has incurred more than $1 million in legal bills fighting off the charges, but he refused to accept a plea deal, believing he did nothing wrong.</p>
