Singer and LGBT activist Demi Lovato encouraged followers to “be a slut” and make their own porn in a post to social media promoting prostitution, which was euphemistically described as “sex work.”
The former Disney star posted an image to her Instagram stories Monday, which told followers to “Be a slut. Show your body. Get naked. Have all the safe, different, consensual sex you want. Be Kinky. Masturbate. Make/watch porn. Make money.”
“Just a reminder that being sexual is okay,” the post closed.

Lovato reposted the image after podcast host Vas Morgan published it on his Instagram.
“SEX IS AMAZING! If you watch porn or subscribe to an X-rated onlyfans account. You are directly benefiting from the sex workers industry,” Morgan captioned the post. “Stop judging people for getting paid for something you’re so freely offering out yourselves.”
“Whether you love sex or hate it. What other people do with their lives or bodies is NOT your business,” he added. “Sex work is work. Sending love.”
An accompanying slide in Morgan’s post included an image that read, “Sex work is real work.”

In May, Lovato announced that her so-called “preferred pronouns” are “they/them” and identified her gender as “nonbinary.”
The pronouns “best represents the fluidity I feel in my gender expression, and allows me to feel most authentic and true to the person I both know I am and still am discovering,” she said.
The 29-year-old added that she recently “came into my truth,” and will continue to share these details with her fans.
“Today is a day I’m so happy to share more of my life with you all- I am proud to let you know that I identify as non-binary & will officially be changing my pronouns to they/them moving forward,” Lovato posted in a Twitter thread.
Back in March, Lovato announced that she is “sexually fluid” and “pansexual,” meaning she is attracted to “anything, really,” The Daily Wire reported:
“I’m so fluid now, and a part of the reason why I am so fluid is because I was, like, super closeted off,” Lovato said.
“You mean sexually fluid?” [podcast host Joe] Rogan asked. “You like girls? You like boys?”
“Yeah, anything, really,” Lovato replied.
“What do they call that? Like pansexual or something like that?” Rogan asked.
“Yeah, pansexual,” the singer responded.
In the past, the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer has said she’s ashamed to be white and declared gender reveal parties “transphobic.”
“It’s both insincere and incorrect to pretend that gender reveal parties are not transphobic,” the singer complained via Instagram. “You can’t have your proverbial pink-blue binary cake and eat it too. This is not about political correctness, it’s just…correct. We condemn gender reveals not because of our identity, but because of reality.”
“Transphobia is not just about prejudice against individual trans people, it’s also a way of thinking that understands non-trans people as more natural/organic and erases everyone else,” Lovato added. “These ideas, like the gender binary, fuel mistreatment of all people, but especially trans and gender non-conforming people.”
