Cruz Responds To 8 Suspected ISIS Terrorists Getting Arrested After Illegally Crossing Border: ‘A Big Damn Deal’
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) responded to an explosive news story this week that revealed that multiple people with suspected ties to ISIS have been arrested across the U.S. in recent days after illegally entering the U.S. southern border by saying that it was a “big damn deal.”
The eight ISIS terrorist suspects were arrested by personnel from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) made the arrests over the weekend in New York City, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia.
“This story is a big damn deal,” Cruz said during his “Verdict” podcast with co-host Ben Ferguson. “We have eight suspected terrorists, with ISIS-K, who’ve been arrested. Now they came into this country illegally at our southern border. The Biden administration apprehended them, and then they let them go. They let terrorists go.”
“And I’ve been saying for a long time, we are at a greater risk of a major terrorist attack in the United States right now than we have been any time since September 11,” he continued.
The New York Post, which broke the story, said that “part of the investigation featured a wiretap which revealed one of the now-arrested individuals was talking about bombs.”

Cruz continued: “I’ve got 51 Democrat colleagues, how many of them in Capitol Hill are being asked, ‘Why does your party keep releasing terrorists into America? And why are you endangering the lives of American families across this country?’”
The senator added that he believes that it’s only a matter of time before terrorists carry out an attack on U.S. soil because of President Joe Biden’s border policies.

I’ve said for months that Biden’s open border has put the U.S. at a greater risk of a terrorist attack than we’ve faced at any time since 9/11.
Sadly, the arrests of illegal aliens across the country who are affiliated with ISIS prove that Biden has made us vulnerable.… pic.twitter.com/agkwzffRjT
