CREEPY: Swedish Scientists Plan To Revive Dead In Robots

   DailyWire.com

The age of sexbots may be dawning, but what about the age of deadbots, as in robots who resemble deceased persons?

According to Sputnik News, “a number of Swedish scientists are researching how to produce digital copies of those who have already passed away” while simultaneously “planning to set about making robots which would resemble the deceased.”

Phoenix, a Swedish funeral agency, will now be looking for volunteers who will allow scientists to replicate the image of their deceased relatives. The technology is expected to “reconstruct voices of those dead, as well as teach the computer program to answer elementary questions, such as those connected with funeral arrangements.”

“Initially we created a speech program that responds to questions from our customers about the organization of the funeral,” said Charlotte Runion, Director, Stockholm funeral home.

As the program expands, scientists hope it will evolve to the point of “mastering quick responses to simple questions on everyday life or the weather.”

Philosophically and theologically speaking, when people die, they die forever. The digital clone would essentially be a carbon-copy that relatives would use to fool them into believing their loved ones are still alive. Think of it as a very sophisticated photo that people keep around as reminders.

The really scary part, the stuff numerous sci-fi works have explored, is when scientists can create a robot that resembles the deceased, and animates them through a download of the visual replica. People will be tricked into thinking they achieved immortality when all they’ve achieved is a highly-efficient people-Xerox.

Meanwhile, the sexbot trade is skyrocketing to unimagined levels and is poised to become another cultural plague worse than porn. Polls have been conducted to see where the public’s sensibilities lie regarding such use. It turns out that many people in Britain — roughly 36% — have no trouble with the idea of getting it on with robots. This applies more to men than women, with two-thirds supporting the practice.

According to a report in Metro, a significantly high number of Brits say that sex with a robot would not be cheating.

“The NOW TV survey reveals that 40% of British people would not consider having sex with a robot cheating,” reports Metro, and if that’s not bad enough, “39% of British people think that by 2050, we’ll regularly be having relationships with robots instead of each other.”

In 2017, Germany also opened the first ever sex doll brothel.
