Alexandria Vera, a 24-year-old eighth-grade English teacher from Texas, is currently at large and wanted by authorities for a felony charge of sexual abuse of a 13-year-old boy, a student of hers, reports ABC 13 News.
Vera allegedly sparked up an affair with the 13-year-old at Stovall Middle School; the two reportedly had sex “on almost a daily basis” and become boyfriend and girlfriend. The parents of the unnamed eighth grader allegedly “accepted” the affair and welcomed Vera into their home. Vera became pregnant with the boy’s child, but eventually aborted the baby.
Per The Daily Caller, cops said that Vera has left the young man “traumatized.”

Vera met the middle schooler while teaching summer school last year. “The two started flirting, and by September, they exchanged phone numbers. The student asked Vera if they could hang out. Vera allegedly drove over to his house and picked him up, and they drove around and kissed. The very next day, Vera went back over to the teen’s house when his parents weren’t home and they had sex,” reports News Fix.
Apparently, students within the middle school became suspicious of the relationship between the pair–who weren’t exactly discreet.
“He like grabbed her butt, and everybody saw it,” said one student to Eyewitness News. “And then they were talking about it.”
Oddly enough, when the parents of the eighth grader were made aware of the sexual relationship, they were “accepting of their relationship,” per court documents.
Vera met her “boyfriend’s” parents at the school’s open house in October. She followed up the initial meeting by going to the family’s home and explaining that she was their son’s “girlfriend.” The parents, completely “accepting” of the relationship, reportedly invited Vera over for family events.
The English teacher said that she would have sex with the 13-year-old at her suburban home “on almost a daily basis.” He would typically sleepover, and then Vera would drive him to his bus-stop so he could catch a ride to school.

When Vera became pregnant in January, she claims that the teen’s parents were “supportive and excited.” But the teacher soon aborted the child after she was allegedly frightened by an unexpected CPS visit in February where she was asked about her relationship with the student. “Vera denied any wrongdoing at the time, but police say they found evidence of the relationship on her cell phone,” notes News Fix.
Parents of students at the middle school expressed concern over the illicit relationship.
“I have chills just because of this — just think that the teacher would even do something like this,” said one parent.
Another parent, Gerson Bonilla, said that he felt “horrible for any father or any family member going through this situation.” Bonilla added: “When you send your kid to the school you think everything will be safe for them and everything.”

The Aldine Independent School District issued a statement addressing the matter: “Aldine ISD has been made aware that charges have been filed against a former Stovall Middle School teacher involved in inappropriate behavior with a male student. When the allegation was made in April, the teacher was immediately removed from the school and placed on administrative leave. Aldine ISD Police investigated the incident and turned their findings over to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. The safety and security of Aldine ISD’s students and staff remains a priority of the school district.”
It is unclear if Vera is being paid while on “administrative leave.”
Texas police are still currently searching for the missing English teacher, notes News Fix. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.
