<p>Rep. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ive-been-shot-at-combat-veteran-blows-up-msnbc-guests-claim-that-florida-is-a-terrorist-state" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mike Waltz</a> (R-FL) unloaded Thursday on outgoing Joint Chiefs Chairman <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/incidents-happen-gen-milley-wont-consider-russia-dropping-u-s-drone-an-act-of-war" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mark Milley</a>, panning a &#8220;puff piece&#8221; published by The Atlantic and adding, &#8220;His retirement couldn&#8217;t come soon enough.&#8221;</p>
<p>Waltz, a retired Colonel in the Army National Guard and veteran Green Beret, aired his grievances with Milley — who is set to retire at the end of the month — in a lengthy and detailed thread posted to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.</p>

<p>The decorated combat veteran began by listing several ways he believed the U.S. military had strayed from its core values and mission under Milley&#8217;s leadership, saying, &#8220;Under Milley, our military has become politicized and trust in the military is in free fall. His &#8216;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/read-less-about-white-rage-more-about-not-losing-wars-hillbilly-elegy-author-rips-top-u-s-general" target="_blank" rel="noopener">White Rage</a>&#8216; outburst — in uniform — was an enormous disservice to our troops as he defended CRT indoctrination, a Marxist theory, before Congress.&#8221;</p>
