Coalition Forces Finally Strike Houthi Targets In Yemen After Repeated Attacks

The U.S., U.K., and other coalition forces carried out strikes throughout Yemen on Thursday night on targets belonging to the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists.

The strikes came after President Joe Biden, who is intimidated by Iran, has sought to avoid escalating the conflict that erupted in the region on October 7.

The Houthis have launched dozens of terror attacks against merchant vessels traversing international waters in the Red Sea since October 17 with no response from Biden or Western leaders other than strongly worded statements. U.S. forces have been attacked throughout the region by Iranian-backed terror groups at least 127 times since October 17 and have only responded a handful of times with military strikes.

The strikes against the Houthis were carried out with the support of Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and the Netherlands after more than 2,000 ships were impacted by the Houthi attacks.

Biden issued a lengthy statement trying to claim victory after the strikes on Thursday night, but the statement contained no details of the damage inflicted upon the terror group. Images circulated on social media of that purportedly showed major explosions occurring in cities throughout the country, but none of it could be immediately verified.

The strikes allegedly hit “radars, missiles and drone launch sites, and weapons storage areas,” according to a report from The New York Times.

Biden noticeably did not mention Iran one time in his statement, despite the nation being the overwhelming driving force of terrorism in the region.

The strikes occurred after they were effectively telegraphed to the enemy through the media hours before, perplexing foreign policy experts who have become frustrated by Biden’s apparent inability to demonstrate strength on the world stage.

“A surprise attack obviously gives us better odds of killing more Houthis, destroying their weapons, and keeping our service members safe. Telegraphing the attack decreases those odds,” said Rebeccah Heinrichs, senior fellow at Hudson Institute and the director of its Keystone Defense Initiative. “It is a maddening hallmark of this administration’s approach in responding to aggression. It seems to think by allaying the fears of our enemies, communicating that we won’t hurt them ‘too badly,’ they won’t hit us back ‘too much.'”

“We should be making our enemies fear us,” Heinrichs told The Daily Wire in an email. “We have the overwhelming advantage. We have got to start acting like it or it will keep getting worse.”
