Chris Cuomo Says He’s ‘Open’ To Voting For Trump in 2024
Former CNN host Chris Cuomo — who once claimed Donald Trump was the worst president in U.S. history — changed his tune about the former commander-in-chief, now saying he is open to voting for Trump if it came down to a rematch between him and President Joe Biden in 2024.
Cuomo, 53, joined podcast host Patrick Bet-David on Wednesday, where the two discussed a wide range of topics, including a potential second Trump administration. When asked by Bet-David if he would consider voting for Trump in the 2024 presidential election, Cuomo gave an unexpected answer.
“I am always open,” Cuomo said. “And I’ll tell you that people sell bulls***, ‘You’ve never voted for a Republican in your life.’ Wrong. And not only have I, the first vote I ever cast was for a Republican.”
“I don’t think there’s any greater risk to America with him than with Biden,” he continued. “And for people who are now going to attack me and say, ‘What are you talking about? Trump is like this crazy man.’ Well, look — you know — as Patrick says, ‘the data is the data.’ Nobody was trying to kill us when Trump was president in a way that they’re not now — if anything, there’s more hostility, and you can have reasons for that any way you want.”
Cuomo, now an anchor at NewsNation, said he was “existentially” unafraid of a second Trump or Biden term, saying, “Unlike many people in America, I believe that the country is much stronger than any individual leader.”
“We survived the Russia thing,” he said. “We survived January 6. We survived having Biden as a gaffe machine. We survived Congress, going after each other and doing nothing for the rest of us. We survive these things.”

Cuomo was fired from CNN in December 2021 as the far-Left network investigated his involvement in helping his brother, then-Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY), navigate a sexual misconduct scandal.
Before his fall from grace from the network, Cuomo spent much of his time staunchly criticizing Trump during his time at the White House.
During a December 2020 newscast, Cuomo dubbed the former president as “the worst president ever” after Trump pardoned a number of members of his inner circle, including political consultant Roger Stone, former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, and former national security adviser Lieutenant General Michael Flynn.
“I hope you decide to accept it once and for all,” Cuomo said at the time. “It is the gift of ultimate clarity about this outgoing president. Democrats, Independents, real Republicans, you all now know just based on the last 24 hours alone, this guy is the worst ever.”
“[Trump] is the worst president we have ever seen. Period,” Cuomo added.
Cuomo was later picked up by NewsNation, where he pledged to be objective after being routinely accused of biased reporting while at CNN.
