New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) has become a meme sensation due to a picture taken of him enjoying himself at a beach after he shut down public beaches.
The state was in the middle of a three-day government shutdown when Christie went to one of the beaches which was closed to the public during the shutdown. Christie doubled down on his decision after photos came out of him on the beach:
