Since border patrol agents fired the first can of tear gas onto the Central American migrant caravan at the Southern border, leftists have been howling about … “the children.”
“But the children,” they say. “What about the helpless babes clinging to their mother’s arms?”
HuffPo even quoted several prominent doctors who all explained how tear gas could have long-lasting effects on migrant children for years to come. This came from the same publication that frequently claims the reversal of Roe v. Wade would send the United States into a dystopian apocalypse unlike anything seen in Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
The migrant caravan that arrived in Tijuana recently has an estimated 6,000 people in it. According to the National Review, a majority of those in the violent border clash with law enforcement on Sunday were able-bodied men; only a small handful of those in the scuffle were women and children. Sector chief patrol agent Rodney Scott said as much to CNN on Monday.
“We ended up making about 42 arrests. Only eight of those were females, and there were only a few children involved. The vast majority of those were adult males,” Scott said.
“To be completely frank, there were numerous people that actually made it across the border,” Scott continued. “We’re in the process of building a new border wall here but we don’t have it completed. There were some sections that had dilapidated border wall that was made out of scrap metal the military gave us. The group breached a couple sections of that, actually tore down one small section, and started to rush across. And that’s the time they started assaulting our agents, and we were able to hold them back using riot techniques.”
In contrast to the relatively few Hispanic children that were tear-gassed at the Southern border, in the United States, more than 72,0576 Hispanic children died in 2015 at the hands of abortion, according to CNS News. Here’s what the report said;
The number of Hispanic babies aborted in 2015 in the 31 states and the District of Columbia that report their abortion numbers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (72,056) outnumbered the migrants estimated to be in the current caravan from Central America (approximately 10,000) by about seven to one, according to new abortion data published by the CDC and estimates of the number in the caravan published by the New York Times and the Washington Post.
In fact, there were more Hispanic babies aborted in New York City alone in 2015 (17,391), than there are people in the caravan today.
Even worse abortion statistics have been shown for black children. In 2013, a report from New York City showed that abortions for black babies outpaced natural births, and yet, none of those sobering facts wormed their way to the center of the “Black Lives Matter” movement.
As noted by LifeNews, the “abortion industry has been known to target minority moms and their unborn babies as well.” A recent study found that “79% of Planned Parenthood surgical abortion facilities are within walking distance of black and Hispanic neighborhoods.” Black Americans make up 12% of the population; Hispanics 16%. Both minorities are disproportionately represented in the number of abortions.
