<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 41-year-old country singer walked into the U.S. Capitol Rotunda to perform the song alongside The Armed Forces Chorus and The United States Naval Academy Glee Club.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As she stood there holding the mic, the music began, stuttered, and then stopped playing. The singer waited a few moments as others in the room, including Trump, looked around during the awkward silence, wondering if the moment would happen. But when it became clear there was some kind of technical difficulty, Underwood proved to be every bit the superstar and called on everyone in the room to join her.</span></p>
