Candace Cameron Bure said she prays that the upcoming faith-based film “Jesus Revolution” helps people find Jesus when it hits theaters this weekend.

In a Wednesday post on Instagram, the “Full House” star posted a clip of the movie about “the true story of a national spiritual awakening in the early 1970s and its origins within a community of teenage hippies in Southern California,” per an IMDb description.

“[Jesusrevolutionmovie] hits theaters THIS FRIDAY, February 24th,” Bure captioned her post. “Which means if you didn’t have any weekend plans, now you do!”

“Ultimately I pray this movie is used for His glory, and for people to hear the gospel and turn to Jesus,” she added.

Conservative television and movie star Kelsey Grammar joins “The Chosen” star Jonathan Roumie in the upcoming movie. Roumie plays hippie preacher Lonnie Frisbee in the film directed by Jon Erwin. Grammar plays the late Chuck Smith, the pastor who founded the Calvary Chapel movement and mentor to Pastor Greg Laurie. Produced by Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate, “Jesus Revolution” centers on Laurie, then a young man who experienced a spiritual awakening under Smith’s guidance.

Bure, who does not appear to be connected to the film in any way, is very open about being a Christian and recently left the Hallmark network for the Great American Family to tell what she called “faith-filled” stories, as previously reported.

In a Wall Street Journal interview, the “Fuller House” star said she wanted to share “stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them.”

“I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment,” the actress said, noting that Hallmark had essentially become “a completely different network” than when she signed on due to a “change of leadership.”

Hallmark started developing more LGBTQ storylines, including the first original holiday movie focused on a same-sex couple, called “The Holiday Sitter,” which premiered December 11 on the channel.
