“Full House” alum Candace Cameron Bure recently acknowledged that her almost three-decade-long marriage hasn’t always been perfect. 
The 49-year-old mom of three made the revelation during Tuesday’s episode of her podcast. 
“Val and I went through a really, really rough season in our marriage in 2020, and that’s when the pandemic hit,” Bure said of her husband, Valeri, a retired professional hockey player, whom she married in 1996.
“It was going south quickly,” she added. “And we were like, ‘I don’t know, don’t think … we’re gonna make it through.&#8217;”
The actress said it was ultimately her three children who helped them through the rough patch. Natasha, who was born in 1998, is an actress like her mother. The couple also has two sons, Lev and Maksim, who were born in 2000 and 2002. respectively.

“At one point, Lev, Maks, and Natasha, but Lev was the one leading the charge. He came up to us and he said, ‘We’d like to talk to you guys,&#8217;” Bure said. “Val and I sat down and Lev preached, like, a 45-minute sermon on marriage to us. Just had his Bible open on the couch and just talked about it.”
Lev was in his early twenties at the time.
“And I’ll never forget, because he said, ‘know I haven’t been married. And I’m just a young kid. And so it’s probably hard to take marriage advice from someone this young …never experienced it before. But I don’t need to be married to know what the word of God says,&#8217;” she went on.
The actress recalled how Lev had “such a calm voice that had so much wisdom behind it” when he broached the subject.
“He looked us straight in the eye and individually asked me, and then asked Val, ‘Have you done everything you can? Is there one step of grace, is there just some bit of more grace you can give? Is there any more grace you can give Mom? Is there one more act of kindness in you that you could give to try to reconcile?&#8217;” Bure said, describing this encounter as a “pivotal moment” that changed everything for the family.
“When we walked away from that, and Val and I were like, ‘Huh, we raised some pretty good kids,’” Bure said.
“There was a lot more to it, but it’s a whole different scenario when your kids sit you down to have a talk and go, ‘Are you being as mature as you can be and what God says?’ I’m so grateful to Lev and Maks and Natasha,” she told her podcast listeners. “They were so supportive of everything.”

“Full House” alum Candace Cameron Bure is getting a lot of attention for statements she made about scary movies being banned from her house.
The 49-year-old celeb said during a <a href="https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/is-watching-a-scary-movie-opening-a-spiritual/id1649600581?i=1000712214582">recent episode</a> of her podcast that her kids “make fun of her” for discussing dark spiritual forces. But despite their mockery, she sets rules at home based on those beliefs.
“Like if you’re watching this, or you’re playing this video game, or whatever, that’s a portal that could let stuff inside our home,” Bure said during a conversation on the topic with her son, Lev, and Pastor Jonathan Pokluda. “I don’t even want someone watching a scary movie in our house on the TV, because to me, that’s just a portal.”
“Listen, I’m in the film industry,” the actress continued. “I understand how it all works. I know that movie has a crew of 200 people, and they’re lighting it, and they’re adding the sound effects, and it’s makeup, and the camera, people, and actors. However, there’s still something that can be incredibly demonic while they’ve made it.”
Bure has been outspoken about her faith and conservative values for years. In 2022, she faced backlash and was accused of “bigotry” and of “selling out” after she voiced her opinion about traditional marriage.
Earlier this year, the actress said celebrities are less likely to face backlash for publicly professing their faith.

Coulier, 65, was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin Lymphoma last year, as he <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/full-house-actor-dave-coulier-reveals-aggressive-cancer-diagnosis">announced</a> in November.
The actor spoke with Parade in late February and again on Monday about his experience with cancer, plus getting the news that he was cancer free.
&#8220;[My wife Melissa Bring] and I waited for a week to get the biopsy results back, and there is no sign of cancer,&#8221; he told the outlet. &#8220;One of the few times in my life when &#8216;zero&#8217; has been a great number to hear.&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;ll tell you this,&#8221; Coulier said. &#8220;Today is the first day that I really feel like, &#8216;Wow, I&#8217;m feeling pretty darn good. I feel like myself.&#8217; And it&#8217;s today. So I get to celebrate that with you.&#8221;
Coulier said previously he was diagnosed with cancer after experiencing an upper respiratory infection with significant swelling in his lymph nodes.
The actor was instructed by his doctor to get PET and CT scans of the swollen area.
“Three days later, my doctors called me back and they said, ‘We wish we had better news for you, but you have non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and it’s called B cell and it’s very aggressive,’” Coulier said at the time.
“I went from, I got a little bit of a head cold to I have cancer, and it was pretty overwhelming,” he went on. “This has been a really fast roller coaster ride of a journey.”
Coulier said he’s remained positive and optimistic through it all thanks in large part to his family.
“When I first got the news, I was stunned, of course, because I didn’t expect it, and then reality settled in and I found myself remarkably calm with whatever the outcome was going to be,” he told People in November.
“I don’t know how to explain it, but there was an inner calm about all of it, and I think that that’s part of what I’ve seen with the women in my family go through,” he continued. “They really instilled that in me and inspired me in a way because they were magnificent going through what they went through, and I just thought, ‘I’m okay with this too.’ I’ve had an incredible life on a journey with incredible people around me and I’m okay. It does change perspective for sure.”
Coulier also shared some advice for his fans, saying, “Take great care of yourself, because there’s a lot to live for. And if that means talking with your doctors or getting a mammogram or a breast exam or colonoscopy, it can really make a big change in your life.”

&#8220;And, so, I love seeing this in our country, and I’m hopeful,” she added. “I’m very hopeful.&#8221;
In 2022, the “Full House” star faced backlash and was accused of “bigotry” and of “selling out” after she voiced her opinion about traditional marriage when asked about leaving Hallmark for the Great American Family network.
In a <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/candace-cameron-bure-great-american-family-11668205295" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wall Street Journal</a> interview, Bure said that GAF storylines would “keep traditional marriage at the core.” Her departure from the network came after Hallmark’s programming and advertising started involving LGBTQ-themed stories. Bure develops, produces and stars in movies on GAF.
Immediately following the media attention from her comments, Bure shared a lengthy statement addressing the backlash, saying that she had never intended to hurt anyone and that the media’s apparent need to divide people was only continuing to feed the current “toxic climate.”

A year later, the “Fuller House” actress dismissed attempts to “cancel” her because she shared her Christian and conservative views, calling it a test of her faith, as she quoted a Bible verse which deals with seeing the test of trials as a blessing, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/candace-cameron-bure-dismisses-attempts-to-cancel-her-as-a-test-of-faith" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
“When I had a lot of these ‘bullets’ kind of hit me in the last year or so, they’ve been a really big challenge to me personally, to my heart, to my character, to my relationships, to my jobs,  Bure said. “I remember being so upset over it, because it’s like how do you recover?”
“I’ll just say it, Cancel Culture is very real,” she added. “And they were trying to cancel me.”
Bure said her brother, actor Kirk Cameron, called her up at the time and welcomed her into the James 1 club. It was then that Bure looked up the verse and found a message about overcoming struggles, which she said was comforting.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance, let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing,” Bure read the quote. “…But blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”

Horror author Stephen King complained about the inauguration event being moved inside. He also blamed Trump for Biden’s last-minute flurry of presidential pardons.

In a post on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DEjZIqvR3uE/?hl=en">Instagram</a>, Hamill wrote that he evacuated his Malibu home where there were “fires on both sides of the road” burning as LA County firefighters battled the fire blazing thanks to high speed Santa Ana winds, leading to tens of thousands of evacuations in the Palisades Fire, Hurst Fire, and Eaton Fire, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/multiple-fires-blaze-throughout-la-county-prompting-thousands-of-evacuations">reported</a>.
He also posted that he, his wife, and his dog were able to safely evacuate to his daughter Chelsea’s home in Hollywood, adding that it was the “most horrific fire since ’93. STAY SAFE!”
Actress Mandy Moore took to her social media account and wrote in an Instagram Story, “Evacuated and safe with kids, dog, and cats. Praying and grateful for the first responders,” <a href="https://ew.com/mark-hamill-other-stars-detail-evacuating-la-amid-horrific-palisades-fire-8771183">Entertainment Weekly</a> noted. “Grateful for the kindness of friends that we had a place to land last night. Trying to shield the kids from the immense sadness and worry I feel. Praying for everyone in our beautiful city. So gutted for the destruction and loss. Don&#8217;t know if our place made it.&#8221;
Actor James Woods was one of the stars whose home didn’t make it after he initially posted on <a href="https://x.com/RealJamesWoods/status/1876780073845408023">X</a> that he had safely evacuated the area, only to share later that his home was gone. Later Tuesday night, Woods broke down in tears during his appearance on CNN about the fire that had burned up his entire street, <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/mark-hamill-la-fire-malibu-evacuation-dog-trixie-1236104022/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to The Hollywood Reporter.
“There was so much chaos, it was like an inferno. Every house was on fire around us,” Woods said. “We were evacuated with the clothes on our back.”
“One day you are swimming in your pool, and the next day it’s all gone,” Woods said as he broke down.

In a post on Wednesday on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DAoQ3MHypMX/?igsh=MWQ1ZGUxMzBkMA%3D%3D&amp;img_index=2">Instagram</a>, the 48-year-old actress wrote, “THE WORD IS OUT! The Great American Christmas Festival is coming this holiday season in New York City! The biggest Christmas festival in the country.”
“Sign up at www.greatamericanfamilychristmasfestival.com for pre-sale access to tickets tomorrow, October 3rd!!” she added. “But if for some reason you miss the pre-sale, tickets OFFICIALLY go on sale Friday, October 4th!  #GreatAmericanChristmasFest.”
Bure’s post included a screenshot of all the stars who will be appearing at the festival besides herself, along with Mario Lopez, Danica McKellar, Cameron Mathison, and others who have appeared on GAF’s Christmas programming.

It will be held at Northwell Park at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, every weekend between November 22 and December 29, <a href="https://people.com/great-american-family-christmas-festival-exclusive-8721832">People magazine</a> reported.
The weekend events include photo ops, as well as Q&amp;As after the world premiere screenings of their films, the outlet noted. The festival will also include ice skating, nightly tree-lighting ceremonies, holiday crafting classes, and photos with Santa Claus.

The first weekend of November 22 and 23 will include Bure and Mathison on Saturday for the premiere of their film, “Home Sweet Christmas.” On Sunday, McKellar’s 2024 film, “A Cinderella Christmas Ball,” will premiere.
“Saved By The Bell” star Mario Lopez also appears to have landed at GAF and will be at the festival the weekend of December 14 and 15 for the premiere of his movie with wife Courtney Lopez, “Once Upon a Christmas Wish.”
Earlier this year, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/candace-cameron-bure">Bure</a> made headlines when she announced she will be appearing in not one, but two upcoming Christmas movies as part of the Great American Family Christmas 2024.
“I’m so excited that the announcement was just made a few days ago about my new Christmas movie,” Bure said in her <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/C9TLWytyNnw/?igsh=MTBlZjE4YzMxOA%3D%3D">Instagram</a> post. “I have two Christmas movies coming to you on Great America Family this year.”
“And this second one is with Cameron Mathison,” she added. “Cameron and I have been waiting for probably 15 years to do a Christmas movie together. So, it’s finally happening and I couldn’t be more excited.”
The actress joined GAF in 2022, where she develops, produces, and stars in movies and TV shows broadcast on the channel. The former “Fuller House” star previously said she left Hallmark because she wanted to share “faith-filled” stories “that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them.”

Speaking to <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/video/6362559736112">Fox News</a>, the 49-year-old actress said she used to spend time “worrying and stressing” about “how to make decisions” and “what to do next&#8221; during the hard times, but not after she found God 2 ½ years ago.
“Faith guides everything, including parenting,” McKellar said. “For me, my faith journey has led me to the most comforting place of knowing that I can consult with God at any time.”
“This is so comforting to me to have this other guiding force in my life,” she added of reading the Bible. “When Bible scripture is mentioned in church, I know what it is now.”

During an interview with <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/danica-mckellar-wishes-world-would-be-open-gods-love-two-years-after-finding-faith">Fox News</a> about the importance of Easter week, McKellar said, at the time, it “marks two years of becoming a believer” after “Bure brought me into her church on Palm Sunday, and we saw the passion play there at Shepherd Church.”
“It changed my life,” she added. “I don’t know what happened. Some people say the Holy Spirit came to me. All I know is that I knew I became a believer, and it was the most wonderful, transformative moment.”

Pop singer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jojo-siwa">JoJo Siwa</a> shared her thoughts on her feud with “Full House” alum <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/candace-cameron-bure">Candace Cameron Bure</a> two years after it began.
It all started when Siwa posted on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/social-media">TikTok</a> that she thought Bure was the “rudest” celebrity she ever met. The post went viral at the time, causing both parties to respond publicly. Bure called Siwa personally to talk it out.
Despite the two seemingly ending the conversation on good terms, Siwa said she wouldn’t consider having Bure as a guest on her podcast.
&#8220;To me, personally, the rudest celebrity I&#8217;d ever met was Candace Cameron. She wasn&#8217;t nice to me when I met her. That doesn&#8217;t mean she&#8217;s an awful rude person,&#8221; Siwa <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/jojo-siwa-revealed-where-she-165554732.html">said</a> during the newest episode of “JoJo Siwa Now.”
&#8220;That just means that she was the rudest that I ever met. Whatever. [I] flashed it quick, thought no one was going to ever see it,&#8221; the former reality star added, insisting she never meant for it to go viral like it did.
Siwa said at the time she posted about Bure, she had “no real beef” with the actress.
&#8220;But then I found out some things about Candace that I was like, wait this, this actually is pretty valid. And I found out some shady things that she has done and some shady organizations that she has worked with,&#8221; Siwa said. 
She continued, &#8220;It goes back to wanting to stand up for my people but not wanting to create drama that doesn&#8217;t necessarily need to be there. But anyway, Candace and I talked about it. She was honestly pretty sweet to me about it. We talked publicly about it as well,&#8221; she said, adding that anyone who exaggerated their feud was &#8220;psycho.&#8221;

Siwa also mentioned how the drama evolved after she criticized Bure for advocating traditional marriage and partnering with conservative-leaning organizations, including the Great American Family television network.
The singer chastised Bure for &#8220;basically calling gay marriage not traditional and gay marriage weird&#8221; and saying that same-sex marriage was something she &#8220;didn&#8217;t want to publicize.&#8221;
&#8220;Whether she meant to do that or not, she still did it, and it still stung the community. Of course, you know, we&#8217;re doing all this work to be more visible and out there for kids in the next generation to feel more normal,&#8221; Siwa said.
The 21-year-old “Dance Moms” alum ultimately called her original social media post &#8220;stupid and messy.&#8221; Siwa said while “there’s no real shade anymore” toward Bure, she still does not consider her a friend.
&#8220;I just wouldn&#8217;t have her on my podcast. You know what I mean&#8230; If I saw her, I would just not say hi,&#8221; the celeb concluded.

“Full House” star Jodie Sweetin defended the drag queen Last Supper parody at the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/paris-olympics" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Paris Olympics</a> after her fellow costar <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/candace-cameron-bure">Candace Cameron Bure</a> slammed it as “disgusting.”
During the opening ceremony at the 2024 Summer Olympics, a scene modeled after The Last Supper opened with an obese woman wearing an aureole as Jesus surrounded by drag queens as the Apostles, a decapitated head representing Marie Antoinette of the French Revolution, and drag queens dancing around children.
&#8220;Tell me you don&#8217;t know about art or history,&#8221; Sweetin wrote in a July 29 Instagram Story <a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/1405545/full-houses-jodie-sweetin-defends-olympics-drag-show-after-candace-cameron-bure-calls-it-disgusting">per E! News</a>, &#8220;without TELLING me you don&#8217;t know about art or history.&#8221;
Her post also included a video that started circulating online after Christians blasted the offensive scene, claiming that it wasn’t religious but inspired by the ancient Greek God Dionysus, who represents &#8220;feasting, festivity and ritual theater.&#8221;

Sweetin’s post comes one day after “Fuller House” star Candace Cameron Bure took to Instagram to blast the anti-Christian scene, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/disgusting-candace-cameron-bure-says-shes-sad-for-souls-after-olympics-opening-ceremony">reported</a>.
“I love the Olympic Games,” Bure said, mentioning that her husband Valeri Bure, a retired professional hockey player, and several other family members, were Olympic competitors.
“The Olympic Games have always brought me so much joy. It’s the best of the best athletes in the world competing for the title,” she added.
“So to watch such an incredible and wonderful event that’s gonna take place over the next two weeks and see the opening ceremonies completely blaspheme and mock the Christian faith with their interpretation of the Last Supper was disgusting,” Bure continued. “And it made me so sad. And someone said, ‘You shouldn’t be sad. You should be mad about it.’ And I’m like, ‘Trust me. It makes me mad.’ But I’m more sad, because I’m sad for souls.”

She also mentioned in her post that some followers claimed the opening ceremonies were not mocking Da Vinci’s famous “Last Supper” painting, but said she’s “not buying it” and she doesn’t “see how [Dionysus] relates to unifying the world through competitive sports and [is] acceptable for children to watch.”
The Paris Olympics admitted on Saturday the blasphemous scene was inspired by da Vinci’s famous mural, then tried to walk it back on Monday, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/07/30/sports/paris-olympics-admitted-opening-ceremony-drag-show-was-based-on-last-supper/">New York Post</a> reported.
Following the backlash against the Olympics, Anne Descamps, a spokesperson for the Paris Olympics, said at a press conference, “If people have taken any offense we are really sorry.”
“Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group. (The opening ceremony) tried to celebrate community tolerance,” Descamps told reporters, <a href="https://www.reuters.com/sports/olympics/paris-2024-apologises-any-offence-caused-by-last-supper-sketch-2024-07-28/">via Reuters</a>. “We believe this ambition was achieved.”

&#8220;Hi friends. So I didn&#8217;t really wanna weigh in on the Olympics opening ceremony publicly because… I always risk it becoming a headline. But it felt too important not to,&#8221; the 48-year-old star told followers during her video reaction posted to Instagram.

The outspoken Christian star went on to quote Scripture, choosing the same passage that NFL star Harrison Butker mentioned in his social media reaction. 
&#8220;I pray for my heart to break over what breaks God&#8217;s heart. And I just think about all the people that have rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ or don&#8217;t know the gospel of Jesus Christ. And in the Bible in Galatians [6:7-8] it says, ‘God is not mocked. For whatever a person sows he will also reap. Because the one who sows to his flesh will reap destruction from the flesh. But the one who sows to the spirit will reap eternal life from the spirit.'&#8221;
&#8220;So, what do we do with this?&#8221; Bure continued in her video reaction. &#8220;I want to continue, believers, with what Paul is saying here. He continues and says, ‘Let us not get tired of doing good. For we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.'&#8221;
&#8220;So this is my encouragement to you,&#8221; the “Full House” alum continued. &#8220;Don&#8217;t get tired of doing good. Keep sharing the gospel. And it&#8217;s not just for the people that like openly mock God. There&#8217;s so many people – there&#8217;s Christians out there that say, ‘Well I’m a Christian, it didn&#8217;t really bother me.&#8217; Those people need to hear the gospel too. It&#8217;s the ones that are lukewarm about it that may think like, ‘Ah – I don’t want to ruffle any feathers. Live and let live. Let people do what they want. I&#8217;m just gonna stay in my corner and be quiet about it.'&#8221;
Bure went on to encourage followers to either boycott the Olympics or “support our athletes,” which was the path she chose. 
&#8220;There are a lot of great Christian athletes competing as well, but I want to cheer them on. I want to see God getting the glory. And I&#8217;m gonna watch,&#8221; she said while pointing out that the athletes didn’t design the opening ceremony events.
