Britney Spears has reportedly filed a police report after being slapped by a member of a security team while attempting to get a picture with NBA star Victor Wembanyamar.
The altercation reportedly happened on Wednesday night in Las Vegas when the 41-year-old pop singer was at Catch restaurant in the ARIA Hotel when she spotted one of her favorite players from the San Antonio Spurs, TMZ reported.
Spears was with her husband, Sam Asghari, and two other guests. She reportedly tried to get Vembanyamar’s attention when she spotted him in the restaurant. The “Toxic” hitmaker had tapped the Spurs player on the back and right shoulder, trying to get him to turn around so she could get a picture with him.

However, Wembanyama’s head of security, Damian Smith, was unaware that it was Spears and backhanded her in the face, resulting in her falling to the ground and her glasses being knocked off.
Spears composed herself and went to her table. Smith reportedly later approached her and apologized, noting the swarm of fans had startled him.
“You understand how it is when you’re being swarmed by fans,” the head of security reportedly told her. She reportedly accepted his apology.
Later, reports surfaced the superstar singer had filed a police report for battery with the Metropolitan Police Department.
Law enforcement sources have since given TMZ conflicting reports about whether the incident will be investigated as a criminal matter. After its initial report, one source “high up in the Metro PD” reportedly told the outlet the case will “likely” be referred to the district attorney.
Spears recently hit back at a report that she was on meth after her ex-husband Kevin Federline denied he ever made such claims to the Daily Mail.
The headline read, “Britney Spears’ family say they fear she is on METH and will die like Amy Winehouse: Father of her boys Kevin Federline says loved-ones are ‘terrified’ she is on the Breaking Bad drug – son Preston says ‘I hope she’ll listen to us… before it’s too late.'”
“The fact that people are claiming things that are not true is so sad … This may not even be them saying such things because it doesn’t make any sense to me for them to be saying that,” the singer wrote in a since-deleted post.

“… It makes me sad because I tried so hard to make things nice for you and it was never good enough,” she added. “So you guys go behind my back and talk about me … it breaks my heart and the news is so low.”
“Hopefully it is just the news being hateful and Kevin nor Preston said any of those things,” Spears continued.
In November 2021, a judge ruled to terminate the conservatorship Spears had been under since 2008.
