BREAKING: Tomi Lahren Suspended From ‘The Blaze’

Political firebrand Tomi Lahren has been suspended from conservative media outlet The Blaze, according to a report from The Daily Caller.

Peter Hasson reports:

Lahren’s show is suspended for effect for at least one week starting Monday, according to TheDC’s sources. A source with direct knowledge of the situation previously told TheDC that Lahren’s contract with the company goes until September, but that she may leave the company before then.

Lahren, known for her hot-tempered rants, sparked outrage from conservatives on Friday when she joined the insufferable feminists at The View to come out as “pro-choice” in an apparent flip-flop. Moreover, the 24-year-old deemed it hypocritical to be both pro-life and conservative – saying she was a “constitutional.”

“I’m someone that’s for limited government. So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies,” the self-proclaimed conservative said to the delight of nodding View panelists and their audience members. “I can sit here and say that, as a Republican and I can say, you know what, I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well.”

After receiving conservative pushback from her appearance, Lahren played the victim online, accusing conservatives of being intolerant of an “independent thinker.” (Lahren apparently chose to forget the part where she called pro-lifers hypocrites and previously lamented the lack of rights for the unborn to her base.)

“I have moderate, conservative, and libertarian views. I’m human. I will never apologize, to anyone, for being an independent thinker,” she wrote.

TheBlaze founder, Glenn Beck shot back: “Wait, libertarian views? Help me out on Trumpcare, stimulus, and executive orders. Trump is anything but libertarian. #intellectualhonesty.”

Beck also spent a good portion of his radio show on Monday calling out the young commentator, though he made it clear this was not grounds for termination from the company.

“I would disagree that you’re a hypocrite if you want limited government and yet you want the government to protect life of the unborn. It’s very, very clear. But it takes intellectual honesty, and it takes a willingness to actually think these things through and to do more than just read Twitter or Facebook to get your news and your political opinions. You actually have to study things – these things out in your mind. Especially at a time period like today,” said Beck.

Over the weekend, Lahren fired off another tweet defending her antics: “I speak my truth. If you don’t like it, tough. I will always be honest and stand in my truth.”

The very leftist “my truth” phrase struck a nerve with many conservatives; Blaze reporter Kate Scanlon tweeted: “There is no ‘my truth.’ There is only the truth.”

The reason for Lahren’s suspension remains unconfirmed.

Lahren has yet to comment on the matter.
