<p>&#8220;Boy Meets World&#8221; star Danielle Fishel recalled a &#8220;creepy&#8221; interaction she had at a young age with an executive and other adults while she was on the show, saying looking back, she realizes how &#8220;absolutely wrong&#8221; it was.</p>
<p>Fishel talked about being sexualized as a teenager on the popular ABC 90s sitcom during a recent episode of the &#8220;Pod Meets World&#8221; podcast, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/boy-meets-world-star-danielle-fishel-disturbing-details-sexualized-child-star">Fox News</a> reported.</p>
<p>&#8220;I had people tell me they had my 18th birthday on their calendar,&#8221; Fishel said. &#8220;I had a male executive — when I did a calendar [shoot] at 16 — and he specifically told me he had a certain calendar month in his bedroom.&#8221;</p>

<p>&#8220;At that time, although the first thought when I heard that was a little like, &#8216;Oh,'&#8221; she added. &#8220;The immediate thought after that was &#8216;Yes because we are peers, and this is acceptable&#8230; and this is how you relate to peers.'&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;As a kid, I always wanted to be older,&#8221; Fishel continued. &#8220;I always wanted to be an adult. I wanted to be seen as an adult. And so getting adult male attention as a teenage girl felt like — I didn&#8217;t think of it as being creepy or weird. But in a romantic, male-gaze sense, I should not have been outwardly talked about at 14, 15, 16 years old. And in hindsight, that is absolutely wrong.&#8221;</p>

<p>&#8220;It wasn&#8217;t until I was in my late 30s that I went, okay, I&#8217;ve had failed relationship after failed relationship, and I could easily point the finger and be like that&#8217;s because this guy was this, and this guy was this, but at the end of the day — I&#8217;m the one doing the selecting and I&#8217;m the one picking these people,&#8221; Fishel said.</p>
<p>&#8220;I didn&#8217;t really process how it affected me as a teenager — or how it affected me in my 20s or even in my 30s — up until the last few years,&#8221; she added.</p>
