Bob Saget’s widow took to Twitter on the anniversary of his death to ask platform CEO Elon Musk to restore her late husband’s “verified” blue checkmark.

Kelly Rizzo shared a couple of tweets on Monday — which marked the first anniversary of the late comedian’s sudden passing — saying that she had noticed Saget’s blue check had disappeared and asking Musk to reinstate it.

Hi @elonmusk — today on the 1 year anniversary of Bob’s (@bobsaget) passing, I saw he’s no longer verified? My husband truly loved Twitter. Out of respect for his legacy, can something be done? Thank you kindly (friends, please help),” Rizzo tweeted.

Rizzo went on to say that she was only concerned because she thought Saget would have been disappointed to see that his account — which was still visible — could not be differentiated from any who sought to impersonate him at a later time.

“And the only reason I’m addressing this at all is because I know Bob would be very bummed about this. He’d say ‘hey, if someone goes to see my page and all the jokes I’ve tweeted over the years, how will they know it’s for sure me!?'” she added.

A number of fans shared Rizzo’s request, asking Musk to reinstate Saget’s blue check. And thousands shared their memories of the comedian on the anniversary of his death.

“Full House” co-star Dave Coulier tweeted, “Bob could always bring out the 5th grader in me. At some point today, I’ll think about how much I miss him and I’ll shed some tears. Then I’ll hear Bob’s voice, and it’ll make me laugh. Tell those you love that you love them…and hug them like Bob Saget. #huglikebobsaget.”

Co-star Candace Cameron Bure shared her thoughts in an Instagram post, adding the caption: “I stayed up for hours watching videos of Bob on my phone. Videos I couldn’t watch a year ago because it hurt too much. Last night they made me laugh 😂. They comforted me and warmed my heart. I watched them over and over and laughed so hard. I miss him so much and I’m grateful he was my friend for so many years. I love you, Bob❤️ *now go hug a friend like Bob would.”

Saget died on January 9, 2022, in a Florida hotel room after he reportedly fell and hit his head.
