President Joe Biden faced widespread backlash to his Thursday night State of the Union speech as non-Democrats panned it as the &#8220;most partisan&#8221; address they&#8217;ve ever seen from a president.
Biden repeatedly mocked and taunted Republicans throughout the night as he tried to paint a rosy picture of his first term in office.
The 81-year-old president, who is trailing former President Donald Trump in the polls, yelled throughout his speech and appeared to talk faster than he normally does.
&#8220;If this is Joe Biden making a case that he is a sane and rational person in charge of a moderate policy agenda, he&#8217;s&#8230;not doing it,&#8221; said The Daily Wire&#8217;s Ben Shapiro.

&#8220;Biden is just off,&#8221; <a href="https://twitter.com/AriFleischer/status/1765929115406721184">said</a> former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer. &#8220;His tone, his speed of delivery, his loud punchy way of speaking, is really weird. This speech is odd.&#8221;
Donald Trump Jr. <a href="https://twitter.com/DonaldJTrumpJr/status/1765932583303463374">added</a>, &#8220;If you actually believe that the State of the Union is strong and getting stronger under Joe Biden, then you&#8217;re probably spending too much time smoking crack with Hunter Biden!&#8221;

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said on his &#8220;Verdict&#8221; podcast that out of the 12 State of the Union speeches he&#8217;s watched, &#8220;This was by far, the worst I&#8217;ve ever seen.&#8221;

&#8220;So, this was a campaign speech. But it was an exceptionally bad campaign speech,&#8221; Cruz said. &#8220;So, Biden was angry. He was bitter. He was screaming. He was extreme. And he was completely out of touch. The entire speech reminded me of a grumpy old man standing on his front porch screaming at the kids get off my front lawn.&#8221;
The Daily Wire&#8217;s Michael Knowles, who was a guest on Cruz&#8217;s podcast, called the speech &#8220;very odd&#8221; because Biden &#8220;was yelling and slurring his words&#8221; and his cadence was off the whole night.
