<p>President Joe Biden faced significant backlash after calling the tens of millions of people who voted for President Donald Trump &#8220;garbage,&#8221; a remark that the administration has frantically tried to clean up amid the fallout.</p>
<p>Biden made the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-declares-trump-supporters-are-garbage">remark</a> while speaking on a campaign call Tuesday night about an insult comedian who performed at a Trump rally over the weekend who called Puerto Rico &#8220;garbage&#8221;.</p>
<p>“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American. It’s totally contrary to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been.”</p>
<p>Biden faced considerable backlash as clips of his remarks garnered millions of views online.</p>

<p>&#8220;That’s not a gaffe: it’s what he and Kamala Harris genuinely think about you,&#8221; Cotton added.</p>
<p>Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) <a href="https://x.com/JDVance/status/1851450682781352146">responded</a>: &#8220;A mother mourning her son who died of a fentanyl overdose is not garbage. A truck driver who can&#8217;t afford rising diesel prices is not garbage. A father who wants to afford groceries is not garbage.&#8221;</p>
<p>He added, &#8220;Kamala Harris and Joe Biden ought to be ashamed of themselves.&#8221;</p>
