<p>President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a> and some of his aides have reportedly said that they regret that Biden dropped out of the race, and believe Biden could have defeated now-President-elect Donald Trump in November.</p>
<p>Biden has also reportedly expressed regret that he chose Merrick Garland to serve as attorney general, since Garland apparently did not prosecute Trump quickly enough to substantially hurt him politically, and the AG supposedly showed &#8220;aggressiveness&#8221; in going after Biden&#8217;s son, Hunter.</p>
<p>&#8220;Biden and some of his aides still believe he should have stayed in the race, despite the rocky debate performance and low poll numbers that prompted Democrats to pressure him to drop out,&#8221; a Washington Post <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/12/28/bidens-lonely-battle-to-sell-american-democracy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> published Saturday said. &#8220;Biden and these aides have told people in recent days that he could have defeated Trump, according to people familiar with their comments, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private conversations.&#8221;</p>
<p>Biden, who had been showing mental decline for years, shockingly dropped out of the race in July after a dismal debate performance against Trump.</p>
<p>&#8220;In private, Biden has also said he should have picked someone other than Merrick Garland as attorney general, complaining about the Justice Department’s slowness under Garland in prosecuting Trump, and its aggressiveness in prosecuting Biden’s son Hunter, according to people familiar with his comments,&#8221; the Post reported on Biden&#8217;s regret about Garland.</p>
<p>The president has also said that he was &#8220;stupid&#8221; for neglecting to put his name on COVID relief checks as a way to get more credit for what he sees as a strong economic recovery during his tenure.</p>

If Nixon was more accustomed to television, he wouldn’t have perspired so much, and he would be president when he’d beat Kennedy. I know that sounds silly. But think of the changes taking place. Where do you go? What is true? We have no evidence anymore. I’m not sure how that gets resolved.”</p>
