On Monday, President Joe Biden issued a proclamation for the centennial of the 1921 Tulsa race massacre and declared May 31, 2021, a “Day of Remembrance.”
According to history.com, the Tulsa Race Massacre took place over 18 hours from May 31 to June 1, 1921 in the mostly black Greenwood neighborhood in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
