Daily Wire co-founders Ben Shapiro and Jeremy Boreing landed at spot number 18 on Mediaite’s 2023 “Most Influential in News Media” list.

Shapiro and Boreing eclipsed big names in media, such as Piers Morgan, Fox News “Fox & Friends” team, Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson, and Anderson Cooper.

“Less than a decade into its existence, Ben Shapiro and Jeremy Boreing’s Daily Wire has become one of the most influential media organizations in the country. Period,” Mediaite said of the duo. “With Shapiro as the face of the Daily Wire and Boreing as the man behind the curtain, it has by sheer force of will made itself ubiquitous.”

“The Daily Wire isn’t just one of the most popular outlets on Facebook, it’s also built a massive audience on YouTube and beyond,” the blurb continued. “The true tell of the pair’s growing influence is the fact that the Daily Wire is no longer fighting for its slice of the pie within conservative media, but doling out slices of its own to its various high-profile personalities.”

Boreing has led the way in expanding The Daily Wire’s reach in entertainment ventures. Already this year, The Daily Wire launched Bentkey, a kids entertainment company, following an announcement of a $100 million investment.

In October, The Daily Wire announced that it’s creating its own live-action adaptation of the “Snow White” fairytale, “Snow White and the Evil Queen,” starring actress and Daily Wire host Brett Cooper.

A teaser clip for the film, which is set for release in 2024, was posted to social media as Disney battles tumultuous times with its “Snow White” film, starring radical feminist actress Rachel Zegler, who publicly disparaged the classic story.

In a quick release, The Daily Wire also dropped a comedy about a down-and-out basketball coach (played by Boreing) who would do anything to win — including getting his old guys team to play against ladies, in “Lady Ballers.” The film dropped to rave reviews from viewers, though most mainstream critics tried to ignore the popular comedy.

Also in production from The Daily Wire is The Pendragon Cycle, which is currently being shot in Europe.

Shapiro, for his part, continues to be one of the most influential and popular media figures. Following the horrific attacks from terror group Hamas on 10/7, Shapiro quickly became a leading voice on the issue.

The Daily Wire news team, under both Shapiro and Boreing, continue to break consequential news stories, from immigration, to public school scandal, to foreign affairs.

Moreover, The Daily Wire has been behind numerous lawsuits against the federal government, including a COVID vaccine mandate and apparent government censorship of Right-leaning media, including The Daily Wire.

Mediaite rounded out its list with Bill Maher, Matt Drudge, Megyn Kelly, the MSNBC “Morning Joe” squad, and Sean Hannity.

In the very top spot is the “Dominion Voting Systems.” Mediaite said that the defamation lawsuit against Fox News “towered over the others” in media. “In the end, a voting technology company slayed and humbled an American media titan,” the media outlet said.
