<p>Las Vegas law enforcement officials have opened an investigation into an incident that occured over the weekend at a Cardi B concert after the rapper threw her microphone at a person in the audience.</p>
<p>Cardi B chucked the microphone at someone after a drink was thrown at her while she performing on stage.</p>
<p>The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that a concertgoer filed a police report over the incident, saying that the alleged victim was “struck by an item that was thrown from the stage.”</p>
<p>“On July 30, 2023, an individual came into an LVMPD police station to report a battery,” the LVMPD stated. “According to the victim, she was attending an event on July 29, 2023, at a property located in the 3500 block of Las Vegas Boulevard. During a concert, she was struck by an item that was thrown from the stage.”</p>
<p>Video shows the 30-year-old rapper looking shocked and quickly hurling her microphone at the person after the drink was thrown. Security quickly intervened to remove the alleged culprit from the crowd.</p>
<p>&#8220;Cardi B encourages degeneracy, criminality &amp; trash behavior,&#8221; said content creator Benny Johnson. &#8220;Don’t be shocked when your &#8216;fans&#8217; behave the way you tell them to.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;The song didn’t stop,&#8221; Johnson added. &#8220;Y’all listening to an iPad.&#8221;</p>

<p>The night before, Cardi B launched her microphone at a DJ during one of her performances because he kept cutting her off, according to the <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/07/30/cardi-b-throws-microphone-at-las-vegas-concertgoer-who-tossed-drink-at-her-onstage/">New York Post</a>.</p>

<p>Cardi B is just the latest in a long line of performers recently pelted by objects while performing on stage.</p>
<p>Country star Morgan Wallen was in St. Louis on July 7 as part of his One Night at a Time World Tour. A clip on TikTok showed the “Whiskey Glasses” hitmaker stopping during the show to reach down and take a hat from an audience member to autograph. The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/morgan-wallen-reacts-after-getting-hit-with-boot-on-stage">video</a> showed a sparkly boot hitting him square in the chest as he signed the hat.</p>
<p>Last month, singer Bebe Rexha was rushed off stage after someone threw a cell phone at her, which struck her head.</p>
<p>Footage of the incident started circulating on social media shortly after it occurred. One <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/singer-bebe-rexha-rushed-offstage-after-getting-hit-in-head-by-cell-phone-during-show">viral video</a> shows the phone flying out of the crowd and hitting Rexha in the face. The footage shows the 33-year-old singer falling to her knees on the stage floor. Crew members can be seen rushing to her side to help.</p>
