<p>Donald Trump&#8217;s youngest son, Barron, is stepping into politics for the first time as the 18-year-old was selected by the Florida Republican Party on Wednesday to be one of the state&#8217;s at-large delegates for the Republican National Convention, NBC News <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/barron-trump-florida-delegate-republican-national-convention-rcna151388" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.</p>
<p>Barron, who will graduate from high school next week, joins his half-siblings Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany in entering Republican politics. Don Jr., Eric, and the former president&#8217;s youngest daughter Tiffany will also be among the 41 RNC delegates from Florida, according to <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/barron-trump-enter-politics-florida-delegate-gop-convention" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News</a>.</p>
<p>A Trump campaign official <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/barron-trump-picked-serve-florida-delegate-republican-national/story?id=110049809" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> ABC News that Barron is &#8220;on the delegation roster and &#8230; is very interested in our nation&#8217;s political process.&#8221;</p>
<p>Florida GOP Chair Evan Power said, &#8220;The (Republican Party of Florida) is ready for a great convention in Milwaukee, but more importantly, we are excited as we continue to lay the groundwork in Florida for success. Mark my words, we are going to win and we will win big in November!&#8221;</p>
<p>Barron was recently cast into the spotlight during his father&#8217;s hush-money trial in New York as Trump&#8217;s lawyers argued before Judge Juan Merchan that their client should be allowed a day off to attend his son&#8217;s graduation ceremony. Merchan agreed to allow Trump to attend Barron&#8217;s graduation, which is <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13393359/Donald-trump-barron-son-graduation-attend-ceremony.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">scheduled</a> for Friday, May 17.</p>
<p>The presumptive Republican presidential nominee is stuck in a Manhattan courtroom four days a week as he tries to campaign for the White House. Trump&#8217;s multiple civil and criminal trials have also affected his children.</p>
<p>In Trump&#8217;s New York civil business fraud case, Don Jr., Eric, and Ivanka all <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-family-take-stand-250-million-civil-fraud-trial-rcna122806" target="_blank" rel="noopener">testified</a> last year as the New York Democratic Attorney General sought punishment for Trump and his organization, alleging he inflated his net worth and financial statements. The Trump Organization, which was founded by the former president&#8217;s father, is now run by Don Jr. and Eric. Ivanka left her leadership position when she joined her father in the White House as an advisor.</p>
