Excerpts from a new book by Michael Wolff on the Trump White House are causing a stir because of scathing statements about key members of Team Trump by the formerly trusted advisor to the president, Steve Bannon. In the excerpts quoted by The Guardian, Bannon also makes some eyebrow-raising comments about how special counsel Robert Mueller is going to finally get to Trump.
”You realize where this is going,” Wolff quotes Bannon as saying. “This is all about money laundering. Mueller chose [senior prosecutor Andrew] Weissmannfirst and he is a money-laundering guy. Their path to f***ing Trump goes right through Paul Manafort, Don Jr and Jared Kushner … It’s as plain as a hair on your face. It goes through Deutsche Bank and all the Kushner sh**. The Kushner sh** is greasy. They’re going to go right through that. They’re going to roll those two guys up and say play me or trade me.”
