The woman who was shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in Minneapolis on Wednesday has been identified as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good.
Her Mother, Donna Ganger, said the family was notified of Good&#8217;s death late Wednesday morning and called the circumstances of her death &#8220;so stupid,&#8221; <a href="https://www.startribune.com/she-was-an-amazing-human-being-mother-identifies-woman-shot-killed-by-ice-agent/601559922">according</a> to The Minnesota Star Tribune.
“She was probably terrified,&#8221; Ganger said.
Ganger claimed that her daughter is “not part of anything like that at all” when asked if she&#8217;s part of the anti-ICE protests.
“Renee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known,” she said. “She was extremely compassionate. She’s taken care of people all her life. She was loving, forgiving and affectionate. She was an amazing human being.”
Before the woman was publicly identified, Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, whose district the shooting took place in, said she was a &#8220;legal observer.&#8221;
President Donald Trump said Good &#8220;was very disorderly, obstructing, and resisting&#8221; before she &#8220;violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE officer,&#8221; who he said appeared to have shot her &#8220;in self defense.&#8221;
The woman was allegedly behind the wheel of a vehicle that appeared to be blocking a Minneapolis road that ICE officers were trying to drive through, according to video circulating online. The officers were seen approaching the woman as she sat in her vehicle and asked her to get out of the car.
The woman remained in her vehicle and was seen reversing it and then moving forward. One video appeared to show the vehicle rolling ahead and touching an ICE officer before shots were fired, killing the driver.
The shooting incident is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, anti-ICE protestors have taken to the streets and clashed with law enforcement, who have deployed crowd control measures, including tear gas.
Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who has condemned the shooting, has mobilized members of the state National Guard to be at the ready in case the protests descend into further chaos.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey responded to Wednesday&#8217;s shooting with a harsh message, saying, “There is little I can say that will make this situation better, but I do have a message for our community, for our city, and I have a message for ICE,” Frey said. “To ICE, get the f*ck out of Minneapolis.

Authorities Identify Woman Killed In Minneapolis ICE Shooting

More information has emerged about the woman shot by a federal immigration officer in Minneapolis Wednesday that gives a glimpse into the anti-ICE activism she apparently participated in.
Renee Nicole Good, 37, was identified by family who said she didn&#8217;t have any involvement with ant-ICE activities. The Trump administration identified her as a &#8220;domestic terrorist.&#8221;
Some local residents attending a vigil for Good, however, identified her as a &#8220;warrior&#8221; who participated in an &#8220;ICE watch&#8221; group to “document and resist&#8221; the agency, <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/01/08/us-news/renee-nicole-good-was-minneapolis-ice-watch-warrior-who-trained-to-resist-feds-before-shooting/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the New York Post.
Good first learned of the group through her 6-year-old son&#8217;s leftist charter school, which prides itself on “involving kids in political and social activism,&#8221; the outlet reported.
“She was a warrior. She died doing what was right,” a mother named Leesa, whose child attends the same school, told the New York Post.
Leesa went on to say that Good &#8220;was trained against these ICE agents&#8221; on &#8220;what to do, what not to do, it’s a very thorough training,&#8221; adding that the training included how “to listen to commands, to know your rights, to whistle when you see an ICE agent.&#8221;
County worker Kristin Peter, 30, said Good was on the same ICE Watch team as one of her coworkers. Peter said she herself was planning to go to one of the group&#8217;s meetings Thursday night.
“They were on the same team, they would eat meals together,” she told the New York Post.
“From my understanding, she was involved in social justice … we are a tight-knit community and a lot of parents are [activists],” former Southside gym teacher Rashad Rich, who resigned from the school last month, told the New York Post.
Good was killed after she appeared to be blocking a road ICE agents were trying to pass through. The officers appeared to order her to get out of her vehicle, before she put it in reverse and then in drive.
One video appeared to show the car make contact with an ICE officer who was standing in front before shots were fired.
The Trump administration says the ICE officer acted in self defense, but Democrats, like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, have classified his actions as &#8220;murder.&#8221;
The Department of Homeland Security blamed the &#8220;malicious rhetoric of sanctuary politicians&#8221; for a 1,300% increase in assaults, 3,200% surge in vehicle attacks, and an 8,000% increase in death threats against ICE, in a statement shared with The Daily Wire Thursday.
“I know she was doing the right thing. I watched the video plenty of times but I also know in my heart the woman she was, she was doing everything right,&#8221; Leesa said.
A federal investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

Renee Good Was Trained ‘ICE Watch’ ‘Warrior,’ Locals Say

Nearly seven months before a federal immigration officer opened fire on a woman accused of trying to ram him with her car, he was brutally dragged by an illegal immigrant sex offender he was trying to take off the streets.
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer opened fire Wednesday as a woman said to be blocking a road they were attempting to pass through didn&#8217;t get out of her car, as the federal agents instructed, before she reversed her vehicle and pulled forward. One video appeared to show the ICE officer, who has more than ten years of experience, fatally shooting the woman after her vehicle made contact with him.
The Trump administration has defended the ICE officer&#8217;s actions, saying the woman, who has since been identified as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, &#8220;weaponized&#8221; her vehicle to plow down the agent.
Democratic politicians, however, have accused the ICE officer of &#8220;murdering&#8221; Good. And protestors have formed angry mobs in Minneapolis to display their outrage with the ICE officer&#8217;s response.

In June, that same ICE officer was the victim of a brutal assault where he was dragged roughly 100 yards down a Minnesota street as he was chasing down an illegal immigrant convicted of &#8220;repeatedly sexually abusing his 16-year-old stepdaughter,&#8221; <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.mnd.225947/gov.uscourts.mnd.225947.1.1.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to court documents.
At the time, the ICE officer made multiple attempts to deescalate the situation and give the suspect a chance to comply with his orders, the court documents reveal.
Guatemalan illegal immigrant Roberto Carlos Munoz was out in the community after local authorities flouted a federal detainer and released him from custody.
Federal agents waited for Munoz to pull out of his driveway at his home in Bloomington, Minnesota, before pulling him over, according to the court documents. The ICE officer pulled diagonally in front of Munoz&#8217;s vehicle as an FBI agent turned on his lights to prompt him to pull over.
That forced him to stop.
The ICE officer, alongside the FBI agent, then pulled behind the illegal immigrant&#8217;s vehicle, approached him, and identified themselves as federal law enforcement. The ICE officer was also donning a patch that read &#8220;POLICE&#8221; on his vest.
The officers had their weapons drawn as a precaution since Munoz initially refused to pull over.
When Munoz raised his hands, the ICE officer holstered his gun while the FBI agent kept his out, but aimed it down.
The ICE officer walked up to Munoz&#8217;s window and ordered him in both English and Spanish to put the car in park.
Munoz failed to do so and instead rolled his window a third of the way down. At that point, the ICE officer asked him for identification, which Munoz held up to the window.
After that, Munoz placed his car in park. The ICE officer asked Munoz to roll his window all the way, which he refused to do.

That&#8217;s when the ICE officer pulled out his taser and pointed it at Munoz&#8217;s chest. Still, Munoz refused to lower the window fully and didn&#8217;t comply with orders to open the car door.
The ICE officer warned Munoz in both English and Spanish that he would break the window if he continued to ignore him. The illegal immigrant continued to dig in his heels, forcing the ICE officer to break the rear driver&#8217;s side window &#8220;to avoid covering Munoz in broken glass.&#8221;
The ICE officer then reached into the car and tried to unlock the driver&#8217;s side door as he continued pointing the taser at Munoz.
While the ICE officer&#8217;s arm was in the car, Munoz proceeded to put the car in drive before turning the wheel to the right to go around the vehicle in front of him and driving onto a curb, accelerating rapidly.
As Munoz proceeded &#8220;at a high rate of speed,&#8221; the ICE officer was dragged along with his arm stuck in the car.
That led the ICE officer to fire his taser at Munoz. Despite being struck twice with the electric charge, Munoz &#8220;was undeterred&#8221; and continued driving away as the ICE officer &#8220;screamed.&#8221;
Munoz then began weaving his vehicle in an attempt to shake the ICE officer away. The officer was ultimately able to break free when Munoz got off the curb and returned to the street where they were initially situated.
The illegal immigrant continued to flee. Authorities were eventually able to arrest Munoz, <a href="https://www.dhs.gov/news/2025/06/18/dhs-announces-arrest-illegal-alien-child-sex-offender-who-dragged-ice-officer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Department of Homeland Security.
The ICE officer was hospitalized and received 20 stitches in his right arm and 13 in his left arm.
Munoz was later convicted of assaulting a federal officer.

How ICE Agent Who Shot Minneapolis Woman Handled Previous Ramming By An Illegal Immigrant Pedophile

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers nabbed 54 members and associates of the Trinitarios Dominican gang who were operating across New York, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced during a press conference Thursday.
&#8220;During our investigation, we learned that these scumbags were affiliated with the transnational criminal organization, the notorious Trinitarios gang in New York. We began to target every single last person that is affiliated with them and recognized that they needed to be brought to justice,&#8221; Noem said.
&#8220;These arrests and these removals represent a significant blow to the criminal network that has been terrorizing communities right here in New York City and throughout the United States,&#8221; she added.
Among the gangbangers were individuals accused of weapons trafficking, human smuggling, narcotics distribution, and armed robberies, Noem said.
More than 60% of them have already been deported.
Authorities discovered that the illegal migrant men responsible for shooting an off-duty Customs and Border Protection officer in New York City in July were part of a notorious criminal gang, and immediately took to the streets to disrupt the criminal organization&#8217;s activities in what&#8217;s been dubbed &#8220;Operation Salvo.&#8221;
The two gang members allegedly responsible for shooting the CBP officer were released into the United States by the Biden administration before going on to commit multiple crimes, Noem said. Despite being shot in the wrist and the face while enjoying a quiet evening with a friend, the officer, who wishes to remain anonymous, fired back at the alleged assailants and miraculously survived.
The alleged shooter, Dominican Republic national Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, 21, was arrested several times in New York City and in other parts of the country before the attack, <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/07/21/us-news/illegal-migrant-arrested-in-nyc-shooting-of-off-duty-cpb-agent-was-free-despite-long-rap-sheet-and-suspected-in-scooter-robbery-spree-sources/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the New York Post.
In August 2024, he was arrested twice for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman and threatening to kill another migrant with a machete, according to the outlet. He was also wanted for kidnapping and weapons charges stemming from a pawn shop robbery in Massachusetts.
Meanwhile, Christhian Aybar-Berroa, 22, who was the shooter&#8217;s alleged accomplice, was arrested eight times by the NYPD and released each time after he had already received a deportation order.
Authorities said he was also a suspect in four more cases, the Post reported.
During Thursday&#8217;s presser, New York Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Ken Genalo blamed New York&#8217;s bail and sanctuary laws for the shooting.
&#8220;They provide safe haven for criminal illegal aliens,&#8221; Genalo said. &#8220;The lack of cooperation is unprecedented across the law enforcement spectrum, and rather than the city&#8217;s stated purpose to protect the immigrants of New York and the citizens of New York City, these misguided policies allow criminals to roam freely in our city, in our country, subjecting New Yorkers and all Americans to unnecessary harm.&#8221;
Noem also spoke to that issue.
&#8220;Those individuals would have never been in this country if they hadn&#8217;t been allowed in by the Biden administration when they ignored their federal laws and allowed them to come in illegally,&#8221; she said.
Noem said the operation is &#8220;just the beginning.&#8221;
&#8220;We are on offense, the Trump administration is using every single tool that we have to protect the American people,&#8221; she said.

Noem Announces Major Takedown Of Dominican Gang Behind Shooting Of CBP Officer In NYC

The fatal shooting in Minneapolis on Wednesday involving federal immigration agents comes as threats against ICE agents surge, with both the number of assaults on agents and threats against them up by more than 1,000%.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, speaking after an agent fatally shot a woman who accelerated her car towards the agent as they asked her to exit the vehicle, said that the agent involved had been rammed by a car in a previous encounter.
&#8220;ICE alone is facing a 1,300 % increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats against all of them. In fact, the very same officer who was attacked today had previously been dragged by an anti-ICE rioter who had rammed him with a car and drug him back in June. He sustained injuries at that time as well.&#8221;
His is just one of many documented assaults on ICE agents, who have been highly active in cities across the country during the Trump administration.
&#8220;Today alone in this country, there have been four different domestic terrorist attacks on federal officers by the ramming of vehicles, three of them happened here in Minneapolis,&#8221; Noem said on Wednesday. &#8220;We&#8217;ve seen over 100 of these vehicle rammings happen in just recent weeks, and this must stop.&#8221;
Over the summer, on July 4, a militia of alleged Antifa members attempted to lure ICE officers out of an agency facility in north Texas by setting off fireworks. When the officers emerged, the attackers opened fire, injuring a local police officer, authorities say.
A nearby facility in Dallas was targeted in September by a shooter who stood on a nearby rooftop and fired into an ICE sally port where detainees were being moved. Although the shooter, who later turned the gun on himself, intended to kill ICE officers, he ended up killing two detainees.
The Daily Wire got a glimpse into the brutality of the attacks during an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ice-agent-brutally-injured-by-violent-illegal-immigrant-pedophile-speaks-out">earlier interview</a> with an ICE officer who had 13 stitches in his upper lip and second-degree burns across his body after an illegal immigrant pedophile he was trying to nab attacked him.

The officer, who recently returned to the agency after the Trump administration offered incentives to retirees, said: “It’s a lot different from the job I left … everybody’s running, everybody’s fighting,” he told The Daily Wire in an exclusive interview Thursday.
“I would like the rhetoric to cool down a little bit, I think that’s probably fueled by some things that have been said about us,” he added.
The woman killed on Wednesday has been identified by her mother as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. Good&#8217;s mother claimed her daughter wasn&#8217;t involved in anti-ICE activities.
Video from the incident shows officers ordering her to get out of the vehicle, before she backed up the car and then moved it forward. The video appears to show the car making contact with the ICE office.
The officer, who the Department of Homeland Security said feared for his life, fired at the woman, killing her. The federal agent was transported to a nearby hospital and was later released.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem called the incident an &#8220;act of domestic terrorism&#8221; and has defended the officer&#8217;s actions as self-defense.

Minnesota Shooting Comes Amid Record Surge In Violent Threats And Assaults Against ICE Agents

A &#8220;violent&#8221; agitator attempted to run over federal immigration agents in Minneapolis on Wednesday before she was fatally shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, the Department of Homeland Security said.
The streets of Minneapolis descended into chaos as anti-ICE demonstrators attempted to block federal authorities from conducting immigration raids in the area. One of the protesters then allegedly &#8220;weaponized her vehicle&#8221; and tried to plow over agents with her car &#8220;in an attempt to kill them,&#8221; DHS said.
An ICE officer, who was &#8220;fearing for his life,&#8221; fired &#8220;defensive shots&#8221; at the female agitator, who succumbed to her injuries, according to the agency. One federal law enforcement source told The Daily Wire that the woman took a bullet to the face.
Video has since surfaced <a href="https://x.com/maxnesterak/status/2008961959731859757?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">appearing</a> to show the officers approaching the woman and asking her to get out of her car. She then backs up the car and attempts to drive away before an officer standing in front of the car fires multiple shots into the vehicle.
Some federal agents were injured, but are expected &#8220;to make full recoveries.&#8221;
DHS has labeled the incident &#8220;an act of domestic terrorism.&#8221;
&#8220;This is the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement who are facing 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats,&#8221; the agency said on X.
Demonstrators further <a href="https://x.com/Dymanh/status/2008953959160127509?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">clashed</a> with federal agents and were seen throwing snowballs at them as they attempted to block their operations, <a href="https://www.fox9.com/news/police-swarm-scene-federal-law-enforcement-shooting-minneapolis" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to FOX 9. The agents responded by deploying what appeared to be chemical agents to control the angry mob.
Minneapolis Democratic Mayor Jacob Frey responded to the incident by calling on ICE to &#8220;leave the city immediately.&#8221;
&#8220;The presence of federal immigration enforcement agents is causing chaos in our city,&#8221; he said.
The Trump administration deployed roughly 2,000 federal agents to Minnesota for the first operation of 2026.
