On Sunday, a 21-year-old Syrian Muslim refugee hacked one woman to death and injured two others in a machete attack near a bus station in southern Germany. The man was seeking asylum in Germany before going on his deadly rampage. German authorities have so far refused to share details of when he arrived in Europe. The man appeared to have been acting alone.

The attack occurred at around 4:30 PM local time right beside the central bus station in Reutlingen. The man wielded his machete against three women. One of the victims later died of her injuries. According to a popular German newspaper, the woman may have been pregnant.

“The attacker was completely out of his mind. He even ran after a police car with his machete,” one witness told Bild newspaper.

The attacker was reportedly subdued by police after getting pummeled by a private citizen who witnessed the attacks.

For nearly two weeks now, Germany has been reeling from a series of terror attacks carried about by Muslim refugees.

On Friday, an 18-year-old dual German-Iranian citizen shot and killed nine people near a McDonald’s in Munich before turning the gun on himself. The murder-suicide is being described by police as an American-style mass shooting incident fueled by mental-illness, despite the fact that the killer shouted anti-Western obscenities at native Germans.

Last Monday, a 17-year-old Afghan Muslim refugee severely injured four tourists from Hong Kong after attacking commuters on a train riding through Bavaria.

The latest machete has once again raised questions about Germany’s commitment to protecting its population against the inflow of Muslim refugees. Already, authorities have begun making excuses for the attacker. “Given the current evidence, there is no indication that this was a terrorist attack,” stated a police spokesman. It’s “only” a domestic incident, added authorities.
