Pitt filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife in February, accusing Jolie of intentionally causing damage to his business reputation by illegally off-loading her stake in their wine company without his consent or knowledge.
“Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face” during the incident, the countersuit alleges, according to The New York Times.
At another point, the “Fight Club” actor allegedly “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her, and then grabbed her shoulders and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall.”
Pitt also “poured beer on Jolie” and “poured beer and red wine on the children,” the suit said.
The altercation was allegedly sparked when Pitt accused Jolie of being “too deferential” to their children, of which the couple have six. The 58 year old was allegedly physical with the children when they jumped in to try to protect their mother.
“When one of the children verbally defended Jolie, Pitt lunged at his own child and Jolie grabbed him from behind to stop him,” the suit reads. “To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backwards into the airplane’s seats injuring Jolie’s back and elbow. The children rushed in and all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face. Some of the children pleaded with Pitt to stop. They were all frightened.”
Pitt allegedly called Jolie a “b****” and told the family, “f*** you all,” when the plane landed and Jolie informed her then-husband she was going to a hotel.
The actor has yet to publicly respond to the explosive filing, but a source close to Pitt told People magazine the allegations are not true.
Jolie’s countersuit is a response to Pitt’s legal action earlier this year over the couple’s wine brand.
Pitt said in court documents that Jolie was intentionally causing damage to his business reputation by illegally off-loading her stake in their wine company Chateau Miraval without his consent or knowledge, The Daily Wire reported in June.
The pair in 2008 bought a controlling stake in Chateau Miraval, a French castle and wine brand, and remained partners after their divorce in 2016. Jolie allegedly illegally sold her shares to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler in 2021.
Pitt claimed Jolie intentionally sold her stake behind his back to a “stranger with poisonous associations and intentions” to “inflict harm,” while contributing “nothing to Miraval’s success.”
The actor said the pair had an agreement not to sell their business interests in Miraval without the other partner’s consent, which Jolie allegedly violated.
