‘And The Oscar Goes To …’: Live Updates From The 95th Academy Awards

On Sunday, March 12, 2023 — and much of Hollywood gathered at the Dolby Theatre for the presentation of 95th Academy Awards.

Hosted by comedian and late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, the ceremony is set to begin at 8pm ET and will feature live performances from Rihanna (“Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”), Sofia Carson and Diane Warren (“Applause” from “Tell It Like a Woman”), and several others.

Although ABC hosted the broadcast, there were a number of ways to watch the ceremony.

From first-time nominees like Jamie Lee Curtis (“Everything Everywhere All At Once”) and Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”) to frequent flyers like director James Cameron (“Avatar: The Way of Water”), dozens of actors, producers, directors, and more took home little gold statuettes by the end of the evening’s festivities. But the final prize of the night goes to the year’s Best Picture — and this year’s choices are all over the map.

Best Animated Feature Film: Guillermo del Toro’s “Pinocchio.”

Best Supporting Actor: Ke Huy Quan, “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”

Best Supporting Actress: Jamie Lee Curtis, “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”

Best Documentary Feature Film: “Navalny.”

Best Live Action Short Film: “An Irish Goodbye.”

Best Cinematography: James Friend, “All Quiet on the Western Front.”

Best Makeup and Hairstyling: Adrien Morot, Judy Chin, Annemarie Bradley, “The Whale.”

Best Costume Design: Ruth Carter, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”

Best International Film: “All Quiet on the Western Front.”

Best Documentary Short Film: “The Elephant Whisperers.”

Best Animated Short Film: “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse.”

Best Production Design: Christian M. Goldbeck and Ernestine Hipper, “All Quiet on the Western Front.”

Best Original Score: Volker Bertelmann, “All Quiet on the Western Front.”

Best Visual Effects: Joe Letteri, Richard Baneham, Eric Saindon, and Daniel Barrett, “Avatar: The Way of Water.”

Best Original Screenplay: Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”

Best Adapted Screenplay: Sarah Polley, “Women Talking.”

Best Sound: “Top Gun: Maverick.”

Best Original Song: “Naatu Naatu” from “RRR.”

Best Film Editing: Paul Rogers, “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”

Best Directing: Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”
