“The View” cohost Ana Navarro praised President Joe Biden effusively during his Wednesday appearance on the ABC midday talk show, calling him “the best” and thanking him repeatedly for implementing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in his administration.
Navarro rattled off a list of names — up to and including Vice President Kamala Harris — and thanked Biden for making diversity a priority when he was choosing his staff and cabinet.

"You gave us Kamala Harris, the first woman vice president. You gave us Becerra, Cardona, Mayorkas, Guzman, all the people. So thank you, thank you, thank you for that!" pic.twitter.com/ToDsRiRfbn— Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) September 25, 2024
“I want to say thank you to you, as well, because, you know, one of the things you promised when you came in, you said you were going to have an administration that looked like America,” Navarro began. “And with so many other things, you delivered. You gave us a very diverse cabinet. You gave us the first black woman in the Supreme Court.”
“You gave us Kamala Harris, the first woman president — vice president. You gave us Becerra, Cardona, Mayorkas, Guzman, all the people, you know,” she continued. “So thank you, thank you, thank you for that!”
“So, in case people don’t know, you’re like a straight white guy,” Navarro continued. “So why was representation so important to you?”
Biden responded first by mumbling something about the fact that he was “known for liking chocolate chip ice cream and Rayban sunglasses, but what the hell.”

He then went on to say that it had been mostly about ensuring that kids could have aspirations.
Navarro, as the interview wrapped up, continued to rave about Biden as she asked how he wanted to be remembered. “You’ve been the best!”
Biden said that he ultimately wanted to be remembered for being “honest” and a straight-shooter — and for his ability to “build relationships” with others, whether that meant crossing party lines or international borders.
