Amy Schumer called on followers to take “to the streets” over the leaked draft from the Supreme Court indicating the Roe v. Wade decision could be overturned — and said that was the reason she “got arrested” to stop “frat f***s confirmation.”
The 40-year-old comedian joined a growing choir of celebrity abortion advocates freaking out about a possible change to the law, and she sent a message to Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) about choosing her “career over” women “being tested as humans” in a post she made on Instagram Tuesday. In the message, she also slammed United States Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh as the reason she “got arrested” when she tried to stop him from being confirmed in 2018.
“Hope you have a great day @susancollinsforsenate remember when you chose your career over womens [sic] being tested as humans and all the other a**holes who caused this,” Schumer’s post read. “This is why I got arrested to oppose that frat f***s confirmation.”
“Give us our dignity or we will take it,” she added. “This is why we fight. See you out there ladies. Foley square at 5.”

The “Train Wreck” star’s post included a screenshot of a note from a phone that read simply, “To The Streets.”
In 2018, Schumer was one of many stars who were reportedly arrested during a protest in Washington, D.C. over Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
At the time, The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro mocked the comedian calling it “the best acting she’s done before a camera in years.”
Shapiro’s post included a tweet from Fox News under a headline that read, “Comedian [Amy Schumer] raises her fist after she was reportedly arrested during a protest against the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh at the Hart Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill.”

Other celebrities having a meltdown over Roe v. Wade possibly being overturned included Amber Tamblyn, Seth MacFarlane, and more, as previously reported by The Daily Wire.
“Tonight our highest court declared war on more than half of its citizens – women and birthing people everywhere,” actress Tamblyn wrote. “The overturning of Roe V Wade is a political act of violence against us and we will not accept it. We will fight and we will not stop. EVER.”
“As the staggeringly partisan, right wing-dominated SCOTUS nudges America closer to Handmaids Tale status, the importance of voting in EVERY election becomes even more obvious,” MacFarlane shared. “One would hope today’s news erases any further delusions that ‘both parties are pretty much the same.'”
“Roe v Wade has been overturned,” comedian Kathy Griffin wrote. “Yes I know. Stay in my lane. Well I’d love to be posting about the Met Gala but this is the only attendee I care about. President Hillary Clinton never would’ve let Roe be overturned.”
