<p>&#8220;American Idol&#8221; contestant Sara Beth Liebe said she&#8217;s &#8220;not even mad&#8221; about pop singer <a href="https://twitter.com/Daily_Express/status/1632833430324125697?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Katy Perry</a> &#8220;mom-shaming&#8221; her on the show despite deciding to quit the competition to be home with her family.</p>
<p>The contestant, a 25-year-old mother of three, shared a video on Tuesday on her Instagram Story in which she talked about her desire to just &#8220;do music&#8221; — after previously sharing that her &#8220;heart&#8217;s at home&#8221; and not staying to compete in the singing competition, <a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/04/05/sara-beth-liebe-not-even-mad-about-katy-perrys-mom-shaming/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Page Six</a> reported.</p>
<p>&#8220;If you watch my videos, you&#8217;d know that I&#8217;m not even mad. I&#8217;m just trying to do music,&#8221; the former &#8220;American Idol&#8221; contestant said.</p>
<p>The reality TV contestant said she had to address the comments because people have been claiming that her decision to leave the show was some kind of ploy &#8220;on her end&#8221; to get her &#8220;15 minutes of fame or whatever the hell everyone is saying.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m so over it. No more,&#8221; Liebe said, as she sent a message to members of the media she&#8217;s not going to comment any further about her time on the show.</p>
<p>The contestant made headlines in March when Perry was accused of being a &#8220;mean girl&#8221; and &#8220;bullying&#8221; Liebe during a recent episode.</p>
<p>During the hit ABC reality TV talent competition, fans said the 38-year-old &#8220;American Idol&#8221; judge was rude to the singer after Liebe&#8217;s revealed her singing expertise was basically the &#8220;church choir,&#8221; as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/katy-perry-accused-of-bullying-american-idol-contestant" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.</p>
<p>&#8220;Is this your dream?&#8221; Perry asked the contestant, who appeared rattled and simply replied, &#8220;Um.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;If it&#8217;s not your dream, you might need to leave because there&#8217;s a lot of dreams behind you,&#8221; the &#8220;Firework&#8221; hitmaker added.</p>
<p>Liebe admitted she was &#8220;still processing&#8221; being away from her kids before she finally started with her first song. However, Perry seemed unimpressed and prodded her, &#8220;Show us what your voice can do. Take it to the limit. No looking back. Sing it like it&#8217;s your new dream. More of that! Hold it out.&#8221;</p>

<p>The singer then named Liebe the &#8220;Accidental American Idol.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Look, if it&#8217;s not your dream, it&#8217;s not gonna go far because I also respect everyone that&#8217;s walking through that door who will lay down their life for this golden ticket [to Hollywood],&#8221; Perry explained.</p>
<p>Liebe did finally get picked and moved on through the competition, making it to Hollywood Week before she <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/katy-perry" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> she was leaving.</p>
<p>&#8220;This opportunity is really rad, but this is actually gonna be my last performance &#8217;cause my heart&#8217;s at home,&#8221; the contestant said. &#8220;So I’m gonna get home to my babies. They kinda need me. So thank you.&#8221;</p>
