<p>Singer-songwriter Noah Kahan criticized the White House after it used his song &#8220;American Cars&#8221; in a social media post highlighting President Donald Trump&#8217;s visit to a Michigan auto plant.</p>
<p>The White House posted a slideshow on TikTok and Instagram featuring photos from Trump&#8217;s recent visit to Michigan, using Kahan&#8217;s song from his fourth album, &#8220;The Great Divide,&#8221; as background music.</p>
<p>The song is available for use across several social media platforms — thanks to a 2024 deal between the Universal Music Group and Meta — but that&#8217;s not stopping Kahan and &#8220;American Cars&#8221; co-writer, guitarist Noah Levine, from complaining that the White House used it.</p>

<p>&#8220;Would never approve of my music being used in support of you or this administration,&#8221; Kahan commented on the White House&#8217;s Instagram post.</p>
<p>Levine, according to a Billboard <a href="https://www.billboard.com/music/pop/noah-kahan-slams-white-house-unauthorized-use-american-cars-1236305033/">report</a>, also commented on the post, saying, &#8220;You fat f*ck this song isn’t for you&#8221; — but the comment appears to have been deleted.</p>
<p>The music has since been disabled on the White House Instagram post.</p>
<p>Kahan is far from the first to complain about President Trump&#8217;s use of music for either a public appearance or a social media post.</p>
<p>Just last week, pop star Katy Perry complained that her song &#8220;Firework&#8221; was used in a White House video of military operations in Iran.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Katy Perry’s rep called the sexual assault accusations made by actress Ruby Rose about an alleged incident from 20 years ago “categorically false” and categorized them as “reckless lies.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rose, an Australian actress, is best known for roles in “Orange Is the New Black” and “John Wick: Chapter 2.” She made the allegations against Perry on Sunday with a series of Threads posts.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It all started with a response to Perry reacting to Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance. Rose wrote, &#8220;Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a sh** what she thinks.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The actress went on to say she was in her &#8220;early 20s&#8221; when the incident allegedly occurred and noted it “has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly.&#8221;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A rep for Perry denied the claims in a statement shared on Monday, the outlet noted. “The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies,&#8221; it said. &#8220;Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rose detailed the incident, claiming Perry, &#8220;saw me &#8216;resting&#8217; on my best friends lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomitted on her.&#8221;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rumors of the two having a romantic relationship date back to last summer, when Trudeau and Perry were seen together in Montreal. Then, earlier this month, images of the couple kissing on her yacht started circulating on social media.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They were seen holding hands at a cabaret show at Crazy Horse Paris in late October, seemingly confirming their relationship status. Now Perry posted the photos of them getting cozy at Coachella on her official Instagram account.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Both were previously in long-term relationships, with Perry and actor Orlando Bloom breaking up in 2025 after almost a decade together and having a daughter in 2020. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Bieber concert got mixed reviews beyond just the attendees. Fans accused the 32-year-old singer of putting in minimal effort, especially relative to other acts. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s impossible to look back on the last 12 months and not gawk at late-night propagandists getting their just desserts.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">For Colbert of “The Late Show” fame, that meant getting a time-release pink slip. Someone finally crunched some serious numbers behind the scenes and realized Colbert’s DNC agenda is costing CBS a pretty penny … </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/go-f-yourself-colbert-unleashes-anti-trump-tirade-amid-report-his-show-loses-40m-annually"><span style="font-weight: 400;">$40 million a year</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, to be precise.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">So Colbert was forced to read his professional obituary on-air. And the show won’t even go on without him. Come May, “The Late Show” heads to the dustbin of history alongside eight-track tapes and TiVo devices.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fellow progressive Jimmy Kimmel was spared that fate, but not by much. The ABC host insinuated MAGA nation fired the bullet that killed conservative hero Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10, setting off a series of events that led to Kimmel’s week-long suspension.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He got his job back and a tepid show of support via a one-year contract extension. The damage was done. Kimmel’s “Man Show” past and irreverent shtick is no more. Now, he’s more likely to cry on-camera than make us howl.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">His only hope is that Colbert’s audience tunes in for “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” come May, delaying his show’s inevitable cancellation.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the film front, theaters once again struggled to reclaim their pre-pandemic mojo. The box office receipts looked awfully similar to 2024, hardly a golden age for theatrical attendance.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Films like “Superman,” “Thunderbolts” and “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” failed to duplicate that ol’ superhero magic, leaving it to video game adaptations like “A Minecraft Movie” to pick up the slack.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At least we weren’t subjected to </span><a href="https://variety.com/2024/film/news/skibidi-toilet-michael-bay-movie-adam-goodman-1236077245/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Skibidi Toilet: The Movie</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.” Not yet, at least. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Meanwhile, Hollywood’s far-Left agenda got a workout via “One Battle After Another.” The Paul Thomas Anderson screed so overtly progressive even some Antifa types might cry foul.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">And, of course, </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/is-the-best-picture-race-already-over"><span style="font-weight: 400;">it’s bound for Oscar glory come March</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>

The woke musical comedy “Emilia Pérez” seemed likely to dominate awards season until we learned some of the less-than-progressive comments made by its trans lead, Karla Sofia Gascón.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce finally made their courtship official, but the best news for football fans is that his Kansas City Chiefs missed the playoffs. That means no more obligatory “Taylor is crying/cheering/laughing” shots interrupting the NFL action.</span></p>

From “The Mayor of Kingstown” to the “Yellowstone” franchise, Sheridan’s shows keep attracting A-list talent and plenty of eyeballs. And he’s positioned to strike gold again in 2026 with the release of the next “Yellowstone” spinoff, “Y: Marshals,” starring Luke Grimes.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sheridan made headlines once again in 2025 by signing a mega-deal with NBCUniversal and having his “Landman” series skewer the </span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/taylor-sheridan-show-landman-mocks-the-view-bunch-of-ped-off-millionaires"><span style="font-weight: 400;">“p***ed off millionaires” of “The View.”</span></a></p>

This season’s ick factor likely played a part, thanks to guest star </span><a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/sam-rockwell-white-lotus-monologue-acting-coach-1236175014/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sam Rockwell’s disturbing revelations</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> to that </span><a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-features/the-white-lotus-brothers-kiss-season-3-1236164899/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">brotherly buss</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> with Ah-nold’s son getting too much attention.</span></p>

Must-see TV? Perhaps, but it left audiences feeling queasy for the next generation.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If that wasn’t enough, 2025 had us focus on the Sean Combs trial. Sure, we cracked wise about baby oil sales, but the particulars of P. Diddy’s life and alleged crimes made us wonder what else is happening behind the scenes in Hollywood that we won’t hear about for years to come?</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pop star Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were seen holding hands at a cabaret show at Crazy Horse Paris in France, confirming their rumored status as a couple to many on social media.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They were celebrating Perry’s 41st birthday when they were spotted together on Saturday. Photos show the “I Kissed a Girl” singer wearing a form-fitting red dress while walking down the street with Trudeau, 53, who is clad all in black.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rumors of the two having a romantic relationship date back to the summer, when Trudeau and Perry were seen together in Montreal. Then, earlier this month, images of the couple kissing on her yacht started circulating on social media, though they had been captured earlier in the summer.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“[Perry] pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out,” a witness reportedly told The Daily Mail about the encounter.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I didn’t realize who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy’s arm, and I immediately realized it was Justin Trudeau.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Trudeau also attended a concert stop on Perry’s “Lifetimes” tour the following night with his teen daughter, per reports. <p>A few days earlier, the pair were seen dining together at Le Violon, one of the city’s high-end restaurants, after walking Perry’s dog in the park.</p>
<p>“My take was they had a really good time, they came in…they were so polite, so nice,” said Chef Danny Smiles, owner of Le Violon, in an <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2025/07/29/katy-perry-justin-trudeau-no-pda-at-dinner/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a> with TMZ.</p>
<p>They ordered the chef’s tasting menu, which featured lobster, tuna, lamb gnocchi, and beef tartare.</p>
<p>Smiles said that when he walked up to the table, “it was a good vibe.” When asked to classify it as romantic or friendly, he equivocated: “I think it’s friendly but the restaurant’s a romantic setting. It’s hard to say.”</p>
<p>The 40-year-old pop singer announced she had broken up with Orlando Bloom after nine years together, earlier this month.</p>
<p>Trudeau, 53, and his ex-wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, divorced in 2023, while the former was serving his second term as Prime Minister of Canada.</p>

<p>Both Trudeau and Perry have experienced negative publicity in the last few years. Trudeau <a href="https://www.npr.org/2025/01/06/nx-s1-5249766/justin-trudeau-resignation-canada" target="_blank" rel="noopener">resigned</a> from office in 2025 amidst dissatisfaction from voters and party members over cost of living, immigration, and a string of political scandals.</p>
<p>Perry took <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/blue-origin-all-female-crew-including-katy-perry-launches-into-space" target="_blank" rel="noopener">heat</a> in April for her participation in the all-female Blue Origin space flight, which was widely criticized for being “out of touch” and a “publicity stunt.” Some were predicting that this event spelled “extinction” for her career.</p>
<p>Sharaun Kaur, a principal at public relations firm Navigator, <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/katy-perry-justin-trudeau-public-image-1.7597313" target="_blank" rel="noopener">proposed</a> that Trudeau might be trying to lean into his “celebrity factor” after a withdrawal from politics, noting that he has always had a &#8220;celebrity vibe to him.”</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 40-year-old singer claims Ross Elliott Hedrick, 43, visited her Santa Barbara estate multiple times in May. TMZ reported that the first time Hedrick showed up on Perry’s property, he carried a butane lighter and an aerosol can. He was reportedly arrested but returned a week later. On his second visit, he allegedly threw a blanket over the security fence. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The TRO also requests protection for Perry’s partner, actor Orlando Bloom. The news comes as rumors of the couple’s breakup are swirling.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Perry requested a court order for Hedrick to stay at least 100 yards away from her, Bloom, her properties, her job, and her car.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Katy Perry is addressing the extensive backlash she’s received in the wake of both her recent space flight and the kickoff of her latest “Lifetimes Tour,” which has been getting terrible reviews.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 40-year-old singer didn’t specify which critics she was addressing when she posted her reaction to all the hate. “I’m so grateful for you guys. We’re in this beautiful and wild journey together. I can continue to remain true to myself, heart open and honest especially because of our bond,” Perry wrote in a </span><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DJCPC7SOyjw/c/18499012462011832/?__coig_login=1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">comment</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> on an Instagram fan page showcasing a billboard for her tour. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I love you guys and have grown up together with you and am so excited to see you all over the world this year! Please know I am ok, I have done a lot [of] work around knowing who I am, what is real and what is important to me,” she continued. </span></p>
