Amber Heard, who owes ex-husband Johnny Depp millions of dollars, was spotted last week discount shopping at clothing chain TJ Maxx and is reportedly in talks to write a tell-all book about the couple’s marriage.

A jury recently found that Heard defamed Depp in an op-ed about domestic violence published by The Washington Post in 2018, awarding Depp a total of $15 million in monetary damages, though it was dropped to $10.35 million due to Virginia law.

Customers at a TJ Maxx in the Hamptons spotted the “Aquaman” actress on Thursday scoring some clothing with her sister.

“Heard was shopping at the TJ Maxx in Bridgehampton, NY — where the average home goes for around $3.8 million according to Zillow — so she probably isn’t maxing out her credit cards at the big box chain,” the New York Post reported. “Pictures taken by a sneaky shopper show Heard wearing jeans and an oversized white button-down T-shirt while looking at clothes.”

Plus, the Daily Mail reported that Heard is in talks to ink a book deal about her marriage to Depp.

“A source close to the Aquaman star claimed the 36-year-old actress was ‘broke’ and not ‘in a position to turn down money,'” the report said, adding, “They said she ‘considers her career in Hollywood over’ and ‘has nothing to lose’ following a disastrous few months.”

Perhaps Heard is pinching pennies at TJ Maxx and seeking a multi-million dollar book deal to pay back Depp.

But it’s not likely.

The actress has made clear that she has no intention of paying back her ex-husband, routinely having her representatives emphasize that she is broke.

For example, Elaine Bredehoft, an attorney for Heard, told NBC “Today” host Savannah Guthrie earlier this month that her client was “absolutely not” able to pay Depp the millions he is owed.

Moreover, it’s been speculated that Depp won’t even seek the money from Heard.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor and his legal team have emphasized that Depp wanted his name cleared above all else. And it could potentially turn off some people if Depp squeezes Heard for the money.

“I imagine — and if I’m team Depp, this is what I would do — they’d look at getting an injunction to stop Amber Heard from repeating statements that the jury found were defamatory and then stipulating that the payments won’t be made and there won’t be any judgment outstanding,” legal analyst Emily D. Baker told PEOPLE magazine.

“If he’s not interested in the money, I think he’s more interested in her not repeating these allegations,” Baker added.

Perhaps most importantly, Heard doesn’t seem the type to pay her debts, or, uh, “pledges.”

The actress notably boasted on television that she donated every cent of her $7 million divorce settlement to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

But she didn’t.

“In court, ACLU general counsel Terence Dougherty testified that Heard has not given the full $3.5 million she promised to the organization,” The Daily Wire’s Ashe Schow reported. “Dougherty testified she has so far only provided $1.3 million, and only $350,000 of that was donated by Heard herself. Another $100,000 came from Depp, and $500,000 is believed to have been donated on Heard’s behalf by billionaire Elon Musk, who dated Heard for almost a year after her divorce from Depp, Deadline reported. Dougherty said that payments stopped after 2018.”
