Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing and Dr. Jordan Peterson discussed the launch of Bentkey, The Daily Wire’s new kids entertainment company, during a wide-ranging interview released on Thursday.
Boreing appeared on the Jordan B. Peterson Podcast to talk about Bentkey, and the purpose of stories. Bentkey, which was rolled out on Monday, quickly became the most downloaded kids app from Apple’s app store.
Boreing said that the purpose of Bentkey itself was to provide kids “with the kind of content that almost all of us up until this particular moment got to have in our youth, which was content that took the values on which our civilization was built, wrapped them in a sense of imagination, wrapped them in a sense of wonder, wrapped them in a sense of joy, and gave children the opportunity to engage with them not as lessons, but as entire worlds in which they might see themselves and project themselves into that. That’s what Bentkey wants to be.”
The two also discussed how Bentkey was in part intended to “challenge” Disney after the entertainment giant moved to integrate “woke politics” into its shows. Leaked footage in early 2022 revealed Disney executives advocating for more “queerness” and radical racial messages in kids content, and viral videos this year show Disney’s live-action “Snow White” star Rachel Zegler condemning the iconic Disney story that launched the company into what it is today.
The Bentkey app was launched on the 100th anniversary of the founding of Disney as Boreing announced that the first live-action film brought to the service would be “Snow White and the Evil Queen,” featuring Daily Wire YouTube star Brett Cooper.
Currently, the Bentkey app features 17 shows, including several Bentkey Adventures, which include Bentkey original shows likes “A Wonderful Day with Mabel Maclay,” and “Chip Chilla.”
Boreing told Peterson that all the licensed content had “been carefully vetted” so parents could trust it and not “receive sort of a woke sucker punch for their trouble.”

Boreing is currently on a leave of absence from his role as co-CEO at The Daily Wire while he is directing DailyWire+’s “Pendragon” series in Europe. He told Peterson that he has loved the “Pendragon” series since he was a young man, even working on a script in his early 20s.
“It’s a young adult series about Arthurian myth and about the fall of Rome and Britain and the sort of rise of suburban Britain and the preservation of Christianity in this very small Celtic area in Wales. And it deeply shaped my worldview,” he said.
During filming, which is taking place in Hungary and Italy, Boreing will be releasing a series of Production Diaries, the first which was released earlier this month.
