Daily Wire co-founder and co-CEO Jeremy Boreing was quick with a quip of his own after his newly-announced plan for DW Kids got the “Saturday Night Live” treatment.
Boreing tweeted his response to the sketch-comedy show’s presentation, calling it “a fairer take than CNN.”

“The conservative media organization The Daily Wire said they will spend $100 million to create children’s programming to counter woke media companies,” Weekend Update host Colin Jost began, prompting laughter from the audience as he named off some of the proposed program titles.
“Programs will include ‘Clifford, the Big Straight Dog,’ ‘Encanto’ — but in English, and ‘One Fish, Two Fish, That’s How Many Fish Genders There Are,'” he said.
The Daily Wire took the ribbing in stride, responding with a crack referencing last weekend’s Oscars’ slap.
“Let’s be honest ‘One fish two fish that’s how many genders there are’ is a book millions would buy,” @mattsideashop added.
Boreing announced The Daily Wire’s plan to infuse DW Kids with $100 million — and create truly entertaining kid-friendly content with no political agenda — after videos revealed a “not at all secret gay agenda” and plans to infuse non-gender-conforming characters into content in the works at Disney corporate.
During a Wednesday afternoon town hall, Boreing shared imagery from two shows that are already in development.
The first, “Chilla Time,” features a family of home-schooling chinchillas who learn together by immersion.
The second is “Doodles with Noodles,” a live-action puppet show that teaches kids to draw — with comic results.
Boreing explained the move in-depth during a Thursday evening appearance with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, as The Daily Wire reported:
“Jeremy, for so long, conservative parents have asked, why are we paying for this to have our kids’ minds, you know, tinkered with or toyed with or at least around the edges on some of these issues? Where’s just like the regular innocent kids’ shows anymore?” Ingraham asked.
“Right. I think this goes right to the point of what we’re trying do at The Daily Wire, and that’s that Americans are tired of giving their money to woke corporations who seem to hate them,” Boreing replied. “They’re tired of giving their money to woke media companies who subvert the truth and try to silence them, and they’re tired of giving their money to woke entertainment companies like Disney who have not-so-secret gay agendas and want to add queerness into content for little children. The problem is Americans haven’t had a lot of alternatives.”
Boreing pointed out that overly preachy content was exactly what he intended to avoid by getting away from the typical non-profit model. He explained that when the content was dependent on donations, the donors often expected to see a more overt presentation of a specific message.
“We’re asking people to purchase a product that they actually want to see, which means it has to be entertainment first,” he concluded.
