<p>President-elect Donald Trump is expected to issue a swath of executive orders within hours of taking the oath of office for the second time on Monday, and a number of those are aimed at getting the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border under control.</p>
<p>Fox News reporter Bill Melugin has been reporting on the border situation as it unfolded — under the leadership of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who was impeached for his role in allowing millions of illegal immigrants to flood the border — and he laid out in detail three of the expected orders.</p>
<p>&#8220;EXCLUSIVE: Per Trump admin official, President Trump will sign 11 border related Executive Orders today, including deployment of US troops to the border under NORTHCOM, immediate termination of Biden’s mass parole programs (CBP One cell phone app &amp; CHNV migrant flights) &amp; much more,&#8221; Melugin stated in a post on X on Monday, adding, &#8220;We’ve obtained exclusive details on three of the executive orders.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Order #1: Trump will direct DHS &amp; DOD to finish construction of the border wall &amp; deploy personnel to take operational control of the border,&#8221; Melugin&#8217;s post continued. &#8220;He will order the immediate termination of Biden’s controversial mass humanitarian parole policies &amp; programs, including the CBP One cell phone app, and the CHNV migrant flights program, and he will order catch &amp; release policies to be ended. Trump will also direct DHS and the AG to reinstate the &#8216;Remain in Mexico&#8217; program.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Order #2: Trump will order US troops to be deployed to the border under U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM), &amp; will order the U.S. military to prioritize US borders and territorial integrity in strategic planning for its operations. Trump will direct his SecDef to develop a unified command plan, and the border security mission will be handled by NORTHCOM.&#8221;</p>
<p>Melugin went on to quote an unnamed Trump administration official, who explained, &#8220;This Executive Order sends a clear message that the United States intends to exercise its sovereignty over its land and borders and that the Armed Forces have a role to play in protecting our borders.&#8221;</p>

<p>The third order addressed the ongoing threat of criminal gangs and cartels who have sent members into the United States via the porous southern border, some of whom have since committed violent crimes.</p>
<p>&#8220;Order #3: Trump will designate international cartels and crime organizations like Tren de Aragua and MS-13 as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) and Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs). The order will declare these groups a national security threat and will invoke the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to stop their operations,&#8221; Melugin stated.</p>

<p>The goal, Melugin explained, was to open the door for more aggressive moves to stop members of such gangs and cartels from operating within the United States.</p>
<p>&#8220;With these designations, the federal gov will have more tools to go after them. A FTO designation allows for targeted action against members, including sanctions and financial penalties. It is illegal for anyone to provide support or resources to a FTO, and financial institutions must report those funds to the Treasury.&#8221;</p>
