11 HUMONGOUS Lies Told By The Washington Post’s Phony Fact-Checker

   DailyWire.com

After yesterday’s piece reminded me of what a sleazy liar Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler is, my original goal this morning was to compile a list of every lie he and his dishonest minions have told over the years. Then I ran out of Internet. So the following list is far, far, far from comprehensive, but does still illustrate how The Washington Post and Kessler weaponize lies and phony fact-checks against their political enemies on the Right.

In no particular order…

1. Carly Fiorina’s First Job

After then-Republican presidential candidate Carly Firoina stated accurately that her career began with a position as a secretary, The Washington Post fact-checker called her a liar with three out of four Pinocchios.

2. Obama Snubs Israel

During the 2012 presidential campaign, Mitt Romney accurately pointed out that in his first term as president, President Barry did not visit Israel. This was an incontrovertible fact, and still Romney was tarred as a liar with two Pinocchios.

3. Hillary Joins the Marines

Between her opposition to the Vietnam War, and the fact that her story kept changing, no one believes (not even Maureen Dowd) Hillary Clinton attempted to join the Marines in 1975, and was turned down because she has a vagina. It is just a fact that in 1975 the Marines would have fallen all over themselves to bring on board someone with Hillary’s education and pedigree.

Also, there is absolutely NO EVIDENCE backing her claim – and when Republicans make claims without any evidence, Kessler HAMMERS them with the full-boat of four Pinocchios.

Nonetheless, for her absurd and provably false claim, Hillary was awarded only two Pinocchios – and that is the same number awarded to Romney for telling the truth about Obama and Israel.

3. Ted Cruz, the Bible and the Tax Code

Senator Ted Cruz accurately stated that the U.S. tax code has more words in it than the Bible. The Washington Post fact-checker declared this objective fact “nonsense.”

4. Obama Never Meant To Say ‘You Didn’t Build That’

During the 2012 presidential campaign, The Washington Post fact-checker did everything in its power to knock down anything that might damage Kessler’s Precious Barry, including the utilization of the incredible ability to read Precious Barry’s mind. One of the dumbest and most revealing things Obama said during this time was “You didn’t build that,” with respect to business owners.

But for accurately quoting Obama saying these words…

There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me — because they want to give something back. They know they didn’t — look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. … If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.

…Romney was declared a liar with three Pinocchios.

5. Trump’s Accurate ObamaCare Figures are a Lie

After admitting the numbers President Trump quoted with respect to Obamacare were precisely correct, The Washington Post fact-checker declared the president a liar with three Pinocchios.

6. Hillary’s Healthy!

Despite all the evidence of her fatigue at the time, including the admission of a thyroid problem, a part-time campaign schedule, and weekends off – just weeks before Hillary would physically collapse at the 9/11 ceremony, The Washington Post fact-checker declared Trump a liar with four Pinocchios for stating his opinion that Hillary lacked stamina.

7. Hillary Never Lied About Benghazi

The proof that Hillary lied about Benghazi can best be described as a giant barrel of smoking guns. Emails, statements, the facts on the ground, eyewitnesses… The evidence is overwhelming and definitive. Nevertheless, for stating accurately that Hillary lied about Benghazi, The Washington Post fact-checker declared Rubio a liar with two Pinocchios.

SIDE NOTE: This, by the way, is one of Kessler’s most dishonest tactics. Rather than fact-check Hillary’s statements about Benghazi, which would result in either Kessler being forced to declare her a liar or being accused of lying himself, he used a backdoor fact-check to protect Hillary and get her off the Benghazi hook.

Kessler frequently ignores Democrat scandals and statements. Instead, he waits for a Republican to engage in what he can claim is overreach on the matter. Then he creates a fact-check two-fer: (1) The Republican is declared a liar for overreaching, and then, by extension (2) the Democrat’s original sin doesn’t seem as serious as it really is.

For instance, as far as I can tell, Kessler has never fact-checked Elizabeth Warren’s debunked claim she’s part Cherokee. But he’s attacked Republicans as liars over the issue.

8. Obama Doesn’t Want to Take Your Guns

Another trick Kessler frequently pulls is taking Democrats at their word. No facts required. If a Democrat like Obama says X and a Republican accuses him or her of Y, Kessler smears the Republican as a liar. And that is exactly what happened during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Back in January of 2016, the media was still concerned Marco Rubio might win the nomination, so when the Florida Senator accurately accused Barack Obama of wanting to “take away your guns,” he was branded a liar with three Pinocchios. Why? Because President YouCanKeepYourInsurance said he had no intention of taking your guns.

Oh, okay. But…

Even that is not true. On more than one occasion, Obama praised confiscation laws.

9. How Dare a Trump Official Accurately Quote a Study

Trump senior policy adviser Stephen Miller was smeared as a liar with three Pinocchios for accurately quoting a study about the number of refugees involved in terrorism who came from the seven countries listed on Trump’s original refugee pause.

Through a bunch of laughable hair-splitting (this is a must-read) and the declaration that 33 terrorists are “thin gruel,” The Washington Post attempted to undercut the study.

Regardless, what should have been a fact-check of the study, was instead dishonestly twisted into something that could be used to libel Miller, who was merely quoting it — and quoting it with 100% accuracy.

10. There Is No Proof of Widespread Vote Fraud In America, Y’all!

Although there are a number of studies, including one published in The Washington Post itself, that back up Team Trump’s claim that there is plenty of evidence of widespread vote fraud, every time anyone speaks these inconvenient facts, they are falsely attacked as liars with four Pinocchios.

11. No American Muslims Celebrated 9/11

Even though contemporaneous reporting from The Washington Post itself (and elsewhere) confirmed Trump’s claim that Muslims were seen cheering 9/11, everyone’s favorite phony fact-checker said “there is absolutely no evidence of the celebration cited by Trump.”
