President Donald Trump surprised the joint Daily Wire and Young America’s Foundation event in Nashville with an inspiring message on Friday.
“A very special hello to everyone gathered at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. I love Nashville,” the president said in a video message. “Thank you all for coming out to join the Young America&#8217;s Foundation and The Daily Wire, and celebrating one of the most important milestones in the history of our country, America 250.”
Trump told the audience of young people that they have a crucial role to play in carrying on the American spirit like those who came before them nearly 250 years ago.
“As we approach the 250th anniversary of the nation&#8217;s founding, young people like all of you have a crucial role to play in revitalizing and reasserting the unyielding American spirit that first inspired the cause of independence two and a half centuries ago. Sounds like a long time, but it does fly doesn’t it.”
Conservative leaders, lawmakers, and activists gathered in Nashville for the “Freedom at 250” tour kickoff. In addition to the president, speakers included Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee, Daily Wire hosts Reagan Conrad and Michael Knowles, and Daily Wire White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan.

The president reminded the audience that the nation’s founding fathers understood that rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness did not come from government officials but from God.
“Together we believe in the principle that the government exists to serve its citizens and that our rights are given to us not by bureaucrats, but by Almighty God.”
“These ideas, embodied in the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, have animated the conservative movement for generations,” Trump added. “This year, we celebrate and reassert those foundations of American freedom because together we make America great again, and that’s what we are doing. America is back stronger, bigger, and better than ever before.”
Trump then thanked the young audience for their support and patriotism and told them to never stop fighting or winning.
President Trump has maintained a close relationship with Young America’s Foundation, <a href="https://yaf.org/news/meet-the-yaf-activists-joining-president-trump-for-todays-free-speech-executive-order-signing/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">inviting</a> many of the group’s members to join him as he signed an executive order supporting the First Amendment rights of students nationwide.

Self-described antifascist anarchists advertised their plans to protest at the <a href="https://yaf.org/events/nashville/">Nashville Freedom Conference</a> later this week, which will feature Daily Wire hosts Michael Knowles, Reagan Conrad, and Cabot Phillips, along with Daily Wire White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan.
A leftist Nashville group, which goes by the name 615 Antifascist, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/antifascist_615/">posted</a> a flyer on social media calling for people to &#8220;rally against transphobia&#8221; at the Nashville Freedom Conference on Saturday, February 7. The Freedom Conference, hosted by the Young America&#8217;s Foundation, is a two-day event that begins Friday and is expected to draw hundreds of young conservatives from across the country.
The anarchist group specifically called out Knowles, whom they accused of making &#8220;inflammatory&#8221; comments, &#8220;especially around transgender people.&#8221;

It&#8217;s unclear if the group has any plans to also protest on Friday, when Knowles is scheduled to take the stage.
Knowles commented further on the leftist group&#8217;s protest plans during his show on Tuesday.
&#8220;There&#8217;s a Nashville antifa — even in Nashville. Nowhere is sacred, I guess. This is the &#8216;rally against transphobia.&#8217; They&#8217;re still on this; they&#8217;re still on the trans thing,&#8221; Knowles said. &#8220;They never give it up because it&#8217;s the apotheosis of liberalism, because the transgender ideology is the culmination of centuries of the liberal impulse for radical liberation from everything, including morality, social order, religion, God, and even the self.&#8221;

Knowles is used to leftists and anarchists showing up to make a scene when he speaks, and in one instance, three years ago, a protest became violent.
In 2023, a leftist protester attempted to disrupt an event featuring Knowles at the University of Pittsburgh by setting off homemade smoke bombs and shooting a firework into a crowd of protesters and police officers, injuring one person. The protester, 37-year-old Brian DiPippa, was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/protester-who-shot-firework-explosive-at-police-during-michael-knowles-event-sentenced">sentenced</a> to five years in prison.
Knowles has enraged radical leftists for years over his strong stance against gender procedures. During a 2023 speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference, Knowles <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/knowles-at-cpac-there-is-no-meeting-halfway-between-truth-and-falsehood">argued</a> that &#8220;transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely — the whole preposterous ideology, at every level.&#8221;
The comment sparked a firestorm from leftists who falsely claimed that Knowles was arguing for the eradication of trans-identifying people.
The Nashville antifascist group said in its flyer that the Freedom Conference &#8220;will include leadership sessions, and a lineup of right-wing voices from media designed to &#8216;confront the Left&#8217;s narratives&#8217; and mobilize young conservatives across campuses and communities.&#8221; Other featured speakers at the event include CNN conservative contributor Scott Jennings, conservative activist Robby Starbuck, and pro-life activist Abby Johnson.
The anarchists told people to meet at a Lutheran church just a block away from the hotel in downtown Nashville where the conference is being held.
The antifascist group <a href="https://615antifascist.com/">says</a> it&#8217;s &#8220;a collective of anonymous individuals based in Nashville, Tennessee, united in the mission to combat Fascism in all its manifestations.&#8221; The group focuses on protesting the Trump administration&#8217;s policies and &#8220;rejecting oppressive social norms &#8230; such as racism, sexism, xenophobia, capitalism, and transphobia.&#8221;

Conservative leaders, lawmakers, and activists will gather in downtown Nashville on Friday as The Daily Wire and Young America’s Foundation launch the ‘Freedom at 250’ national tour, an event aimed at celebrating constitutional governance amid national unrest.
The rally, titled the “Freedom at 250: Its Defense Requires Action” tour kickoff, is expected to draw a capacity crowd of young conservatives and will feature remarks headlined by Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee and Daily Wire host Michael Knowles.
Organizers say they intend to emphasize support for constitutional government, the rule of law, and civic responsibility amid a wave of protests and unrest that has erupted in cities across the country in recent weeks. Young America’s Foundation President and former Wisconsin GOP Governor Scott Walker said the event is meant to serve as a response to what he described as “well‑funded left‑wing agitation,” citing recent protests in Minnesota that have disrupted federal immigration enforcement operations.
“As America approaches its 250th anniversary, this rally stands as a call to uphold the rule of law and the timeless principles our Founding Fathers fought to establish,” Walker said, adding that the Nashville event would highlight “ordered liberty, civic responsibility, and a nation grounded in law.”
Local left-wing activist groups have announced plans to stage a counter-protest, underscoring the sharp political divide surrounding the event.
Daily Wire host Michael Knowles, one of the headline speakers of the rally, said the gathering reflects a broader effort to equip young conservatives to confront what he characterized as ideological intimidation on college campuses and in public life. 
“The radical Left has stopped trying to win arguments and started relying on intimidation and outright violence,” Knowles said. “That’s why it matters that students are equipped with the intellectual tools they need to prevail in a hostile culture.”
Knowles referenced prior disruptions at his events by left-wing activists, saying he would continue to speak publicly despite threats of protest. 
The Nashville rally marks the first stop on a yearlong tour combining Young America’s Foundation’s campus outreach efforts with The Daily Wire’s media platform. Organizers say future events will focus on engaging young Americans on issues of constitutional governance, American history, and cultural influence.
In addition to Gov. Lee and former Gov. Walker, speakers scheduled to appear include Daily Wire White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan; filmmaker and activist Robby Starbuck; former Green Beret Nick Freitas; and country music artist Lee Greenwood. Daily Wire Senior Editor Cabot Phillips will serve as emcee.
Ahead of the rally, Young America’s Foundation is also hosting a free student-activist training session aimed at equipping conservative students with organizing and advocacy skills.

Saint Thomas’ reasoning is, as always, clear and persuasive in his discussions of the order of charity. In the “Summa Theologiae,” Secunda Secundae, Question 26, he writes, “There must needs be some order in things loved out of charity, which order is in reference to the first principle of that love, which is God.” This expression alone proves editor of The Yale Review James Surowiecki had no idea what he was talking about when he <a href="https://x.com/JamesSurowiecki/status/1885302779058557080" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a> that the ordo amoris is not in the Gospels.
Not only is the ordo amoris in the Gospels, but it is also the principle articulated in the most famous line of the Gospels, <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2022%3A37-39&amp;version=ESV" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Matthew 22:37-39</a>: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
There is, in other words, an order of charity — a hierarchy of love — and this order is the very foundation of Christian morality. We must love God first, and only then and upon that basis do we love everything else. And this order does not just comprise two categories. It isn’t just “God” and “everyone else.”
We find further scriptural evidence of the order of charity in <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Timothy%205%3A8&amp;version=RSV" target="_blank" rel="noopener">1 Timothy 5:8</a>: “If any one does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his own family, he has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” A man does not necessarily disown the faith — he is not necessarily worse than an unbeliever — if he does not care for some random guy on the other side of the world. We have greater obligations to those who are closest to us.
This moral insight is attested to both by philosophy and religion — reason and revelation — and yet many liberals deny it. And we know they deny, not just because of their snarky tweets about JD Vance, but also from social science. Shortly after the ordo amoris debate kicked off, a graph went viral on social media.

It’s from a 2019 <a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31558713/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">study</a> titled, “Ideological Differences in the Expanse of the Moral Circle.” The graph depicts heat maps “indicating highest moral allocation by ideology.” The “moral circle rings” extend from the center outward. Care for “your immediate family” is in the center, followed by “all of your extended family,” then “all of your closest friends,” then “all of your friends (including distant ones),” then your acquaintances, people you’ve ever met, your countrymen, people on your continent, all people, all mammals, all other animals, all living creatures (including amoebae), all potential life in the universe (including aliens), all living things (including plants and trees), all non-living things (including rocks), and finally all things in existence.
The study found that conservatives, being normal, tend to care more about the things closest to them; they tend to care more about their immediate families than they care about rocks. Liberals, being the sort of people who hug trees and hate their dads, tend not to care more about things closer to them. The study found that “the more liberal people were, the more they allocated equally to humans and non-humans.” A distinguishing feature of Right-wingers is that they are more likely “to morally prioritize humans over nonhumans.”
Some libs have attempted to argue that conservatives simply misunderstand the study. They argue the study shows that conservatives don’t care more about their families than liberals do; it’s just that liberals care more generally. Now, even if that were true — and it’s a perfectly plausible hypothesis given liberals’ frequent inability to control their emotions — it would still be extremely disordered to care more about strangers than about one’s own parents. Even if they cared more overall — which, it turns out, they don’t.
Liberals really do care more about rocks and trees than they do about their own families. We don’t need a chart or study to show us that. Just ask a liberal about climate change and abortion. Liberals will rend their garments over environmental threats to the coral reef, but they’ll dance in the streets to celebrate the murder of their own children through abortion.
And, it turns out, the study shows as much. Because the study “constrained the number of units that participants could assign to each group, forcing participants to distribute moral concern in a zero-sum fashion” (i.e., the more concern they allocate to one circle, the less they can allocate to another circle). And the researchers did this because research suggests that’s how people really do distribute “empathy and moral concern.” Of course: It’s a finite world. We only have so many hours to worry. We only have so many tears to shed.
But just to prove how deep this moral perversion runs on the political Left, the researchers conducted another study to test what would happen if they did not constrain people to zero-sum moral thinking. And what they discovered was that “even when participants’ allocations were not constrained, the same pattern replicated.” Conservatives, the researchers showed, exhibit “greater concern and preference for family relative to friends, the nation relative to the world … and humans relative to non-humans.”

So what conclusion are we to draw from this? Is it just a matter of preference? “Conservatives love their family and friends; liberals love trees and rocks” — de gustibus non disputandum est! No accounting for taste! I don’t think so. Any reasonable person knows that one should care more for his children than for rocks and trees. If liberals do not, it is because they have made a moral error.
And the liberals didn’t even necessarily fall into this moral error because they’re wicked. More likely, I think, they fall into it because they’re trying (and failing) to be good. I suspect most of the time it actually comes from a place of love. But that love is misplaced. It’s out of order. And disordered love tends to evil, just as the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.
G.K. Chesterton explains the phenomenon with regard to his friend, the socialist atheist George Bernard Shaw.
“Bernard Shaw,” Chesterton <a href="https://www3.nd.edu/~afreddos/courses/439/orthodoxy2-3.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">writes</a>, “has a heroically large and generous heart; but not a heart in the right place. And this is so of the typical society of our time. The modern world is not evil; in some ways the modern world is far too good. It is full of wild and wasted virtues.”
“When a religious scheme is shattered,” he concludes, “it is not merely the vices that are let loose. The vices are, indeed, let loose, and they wander and do damage. But the virtues are let loose also; and the virtues wander more wildly, and the virtues do more terrible damage. The modern world is full of the old Christian virtues gone mad.”
Our nation’s — our whole civilization’s — religious scheme has obviously been shattered. The vice president invoked Thomas Aquinas, and our political elites were left drooling and scratching their heads.
The scheme has been shattered, the virtues have wandered, and these wandering virtues — these errant loves — have caused our present political ills. The only remedy is to restore order — not just to our streets and our communities but to our loves — if for no other reason than that without order, without caring for ourselves and our own, we can’t properly care for anyone else either.

Daily Wire host and author Michael Knowles gave a speech titled, “We Are So Back: How The Libs Lost Everything,” at the University of Iowa Monday night, where he was met with dozens of protesters. 
The protesters at the event, which was hosted by Young America’s Foundation (YAF), <a href="https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/local/2024/11/12/protesters-gather-on-ui-campus-as-daily-wires-michael-knowles-visits/76223743007/?taid=6733b746f5c1290001e1b6f2&amp;utm_campaign=trueanthem&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter">chanted</a>, “F*** you, fascists,” &#8220;Transphobes you better beware, we&#8217;re not going anywhere,&#8221; &#8220;We will not be silenced by transphobic violence,” and other left-wing slogans. 
Knowles reacted to some of the protests online, writing, “Do all my protesters have COVID?” — a reference to the many students wearing masks.

During the speech, Knowles also addressed the protests that had been taking place at the university leading up to his speech. Knowles referenced a reporter who claimed it was the conservative who “incited” the pushback on campus, which included vandalism. 
“Apparently, my very presence stirs in liberals an irrepressible urge to commit violence,” Knowles mocked. “How dare I! How dare all of us conservatives ever speak!” 
Transitioning to the media, Knowles explained how the “libs lost everything” this election cycle. 
&#8220;How did the libs lose everything? I think the press, as much as any other person or institution &#8230; deserves credit for the landslide victory last Tuesday,” he said.

Knowles also talked about transgender politics, which has been dubbed the “sleeper issue” of the 2024 election.

The trans issue was further discussed after one female student suggested Knowles and other conservatives are mean to people who say they are transgender and need to merely open their hearts. Knowles rejected the premise and explained why transgenderism, as the Left understands it, does not actually exist since men cannot be women and women cannot be men.

An employee at the University of California Los Angeles was filmed ripping down posters — put up to advertise Ben Shapiro&#8217;s speech on Monday — just hours before the Daily Wire editor emeritus was scheduled to take the stage at his alma mater.
Young America&#8217;s Foundation, which is hosting Shapiro for an event on Monday at 6:30 p.m. PT, posted a video on X showing a university employee tearing down the Shapiro speech posters, saying that his boss told him &#8220;to take flyers down.&#8221; The man refused to give the name of his supervisor, saying, &#8220;I&#8217;m doing my job, what they told me to do, so you have a good day.&#8221;

It&#8217;s not the first time UCLA&#8217;s administration has attempted to get in the way of Shapiro&#8217;s YAF event. Last week, university bureaucrats forced YAF to shut down its Eventbrite page, where people could acquire tickets for Shapiro&#8217;s speech, and forced YAF to redirect attendees to UCLA&#8217;s main ticketing office, RedState <a href="https://redstate.com/jenvanlaar/2024/10/17/exclusive-uclas-attempts-to-shut-down-planned-ben-shapiro-speech-at-yaf-chapter-n2180679" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
According to RedState, UCLA taking over the ticketing means YAF cannot know in advance &#8220;if people who are known agitators or security threats are registering, or what efforts are being made to ensure that a bunch of lefties don&#8217;t gobble up the 1,200 available tickets then no-show the free event.&#8221;
UCLA has also rejected YAF&#8217;s request for a standby line, which would help the group ensure that those who want to attend the event can get in while preventing leftist students from filling the event space and then staging a massive walkout.
YAF&#8217;s lawyers wrote a letter to UCLA, stating, &#8220;When pressed, UCLA has not stated any reason whatsoever for this unreasonable stance, other than to cite to its own policy number 862, which simply states that for &#8216;major events,&#8217; (i.e., events presenting disfavored points of view that may result in counter-protests), &#8216;[n]o standby line will be allowed unless advance approval [is] provided by UCLA Fire Department and with limited standby Tickets offered,&#8217; without providing any justification for this limitation or explanation as to why approval has not been given in this particular case.&#8221;

Meanwhile, a UCLA student magazine is upset &#8220;about the lack of acceptance towards the &#8216;furry&#8217; community&#8221; and obsessed with &#8220;kink.&#8221;

A new poll commissioned by the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/young-americas-foundation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Young America’s Foundation</a> found that the economy is the number one concern for college and high school students as President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a> remains unpopular among the demographic.
The poll, conducted by Echelon Insights, found that high school and college students overwhelmingly see the economy as the top concern, more than issues like abortion or the climate. The survey examined the views of 821 high school students and 804 college students from June 4 to June 9.
Of those surveyed, 44% of college students and 48% of high school students said the economy was their number one concern. In 2020, college students were a crucial demographic for Biden with an <a href="https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/539588-college-students-turned-out-in-droves-for-biden-heres-what-they-want-in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">estimated</a> 61% of young people (ages 18-29) casting a vote for Biden.
“Despite the Left’s never-ending focus on ‘progressive’ social issues, students are largely indifferent. Only 12% of high school students and 25% of college students consider abortion to be a top concern, while racial issues and LGBTQ+ ‘rights’ are even less of a priority,” YAF said in a <a href="https://yaf.org/news/new-yaf-poll-students-prioritize-economy-political-integrity-over-leftist-social-issues/">statement</a>.
Other top issues for students included school safety, political corruption, and health care.

Inflation has been a persistent issue under Biden, with elevated food, gas, and housing prices hampering the economy. Biden’s popularity among young people has also plunged since his inauguration in January 2021.
According to the poll, just 30% of college students and 32% of high school students approve of Biden. Those numbers are down from 62% and 58% respectively in 2021. Of college students who identify as liberal, just 42% approve of Biden’s performance.

The survey found that 63% of college students, a critical demographic for Biden’s re-election campaign, are not very or not confident at all in Biden’s ability to be an effective leader when it comes to young people.
Students were also polled on a range of policy issues from immigration to women&#8217;s sports with strong majorities saying it was unfair for males who identify as females to compete in women&#8217;s sports. Sixty-three percent of high schoolers and 60% of college students said it would be unfair at any level for a male identifying as a female to compete in a women&#8217;s athletic competition.
“Our polling shows the biggest issue young people care about right now is the economy,” said former Wisconsin GOP governor and Young America’s Foundation President Scott Walker. “It’s crucial that YAF continues to teach high school and college students the timeless principles of individual liberty and the free market so that future generations ensure the continued success of our great nation.”

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) blocked a pro-Israel event from happening on Wednesday, according to the conservative student group hosting the event.
The student group, UCLA&#8217;s Young America&#8217;s Foundation (YAF) chapter, <a href="https://yaf.org/news/ucla-pulls-plug-on-pro-israel-yaf-event-in-unconstitutional-move-to-placate-pro-hamas-radicals/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://yaf.org/news/ucla-pulls-plug-on-pro-israel-yaf-event-in-unconstitutional-move-to-placate-pro-hamas-radicals/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1715985570476000&amp;usg=AOvVaw25oAi27VaQ5Jmp_zIUVzOb">accused</a> the university of caving to pressure from &#8220;pro-Hamas campus radicals&#8221; who have engaged in &#8220;violent&#8221; protests and encampments for weeks.
The event was slated to begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. The featured speaker was author and counter-Jihad expert Robert Spencer.
However, on the day of the event, the YAF team discovered that the doors to the event room were locked, the student chairman of UCLA&#8217;s YAF chapter, Matthew Weinberg told The Daily Wire.
When they contacted university officials, they were informed that their event would need to be relocated to a &#8220;very old and inconvenient&#8221; location on campus that is much less trafficked, Weinberg said. This was an &#8220;unacceptable last minute change that would have significantly impacted the event’s attendance and impact,&#8221; YAF said in a <a href="https://yaf.org/news/ucla-pulls-plug-on-pro-israel-yaf-event-in-unconstitutional-move-to-placate-pro-hamas-radicals/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://yaf.org/news/ucla-pulls-plug-on-pro-israel-yaf-event-in-unconstitutional-move-to-placate-pro-hamas-radicals/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1715985570476000&amp;usg=AOvVaw25oAi27VaQ5Jmp_zIUVzOb">post</a> about the incident.
&#8220;Ultimately, we were barred from utilizing the designated room for our event,&#8221; Weinberg said, adding that he had reserved the room over a month ago.
Administrators allegedly refused to open the locked doors, citing &#8220;security concerns.&#8221;
In the weeks prior, UCLA administrators also allegedly stalled the event&#8217;s approval process, according to the student group. Administrators told the group that if the pro-Palestinian encampment was still in place on the day of the event, it would be too dangerous for an event expressing opposing views to happen, the group said.
The student group brought in legal counsel and contested that decision, arguing that it was an unconstitutional use of the heckler’s veto. At first, the university appeared to reconsider.
&#8220;The school threw up roadblock after roadblock to try and prevent the event from happening. Eventually, the school granted approval, albeit on very short notice,&#8221; Weinberg said.
In the end though, the event was blocked, the group said.

&#8220;The move is also a clear violation of students’ constitutional rights,&#8221; YAF said in its post.
UCLA said it was &#8220;misinformation&#8221; that the event was canceled.
&#8220;The event took place in the designated location after it shifted to a closed, recorded event as proposed by the organizer and agreed to by UCLA,&#8221; Mary Osako, vice chancellor of strategic communications at UCLA, said in a statement to The Daily Wire.
YAF pushed back on the university&#8217;s characterization, saying the event never took place.
&#8220;The statement from UCLA is not correct. To be clear, our event did not take place,&#8221; YAF told The Daily Wire.
YAF&#8217;s president, former Wisconsin governor Scott Walker, warned that YAF is prepared to take UCLA to court over the issue.
&#8220;Conservative students should have the same rights as the pro-Hamas students who have routinely obstructed and violently disrupted the UCLA campus,&#8221; Walker said in a statement to The Daily Wire.
&#8220;UCLA canceled YAF’s access to the lecture hall while allowing protestors to freely roam the campus. Like we did against UC, Berkeley, YAF will prevail against UCLA in court!&#8221; Walker said.
Weinberg, the YAF chapter student chairman, expressed disappointment at the university&#8217;s move.
&#8220;Our chapter harbors profound disappointment towards the administration for permitting unlawful pro-Hamas encampments to flout both legal statutes and school policies, thereby enabling these agitators and students to perpetrate physical harassment and assaults against Jewish students,&#8221; Weinburg said. &#8220;Our sole intent was to host a Pro-Israel event welcoming individuals of all backgrounds and viewpoints, aimed at fostering dialogue often absent from college campuses. This is not only a double standard, but a clear infringement upon our First Amendment rights.&#8221;
&#8220;As a result, we have chosen to pursue legal recourse,&#8221; he added.
Spencer, the event&#8217;s speaker, had strong words for the school, accusing it of indoctrinating students with leftist ideology.
“UCLA and other universities today are not institutions of higher learning; they are radioactive wastelands of hard-left indoctrination,” Spencer said.

A group of Republican attorneys general announced a new lawsuit against the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/biden-administration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biden administration</a> over its changes to Title IX that would expand prohibitions on discrimination to include gender identity.
The 85-page <a href="https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2024/05/KS-Title-IX-Complaint-filing-copy.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawsuit</a>, filed by Kansas, Utah, Alaska, Wyoming, Moms For Liberty, Young America’s Foundation, and Female Athletes United, says that the rule politicizes the education system to “conform to the radical ideological views of the Biden administration and its allies.”
The Education Department, Education Secretary Miguel Cardona, the Justice Department, and Attorney General Merrick Garland are all named in the suit. Conservatives have argued that Biden’s changes to Title IX will endanger state laws keeping males out of women’s sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms.
“If Biden has his way, a 16-year-old female high school student on an overnight field trip could be forced to share a hotel room with a biological male who identifies as a girl or the district would risk losing federal funding,” <a href="https://adfmedia.org/press-release/more-states-girls-sue-biden-admin-illegal-attempt-rewrite-title-ix" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach. “A 14-year-old girl could be forced to share a locker room and change in front of an 18-year-old man who identifies as a woman or the district could lose funds. It’s unconscionable, it’s dangerous for girls and women, and it’s against federal law.”
During a press conference announcing the suit, Kobach said that there were multiple concerns with the rules, including the intrusion of transgender-identifying males into female spaces, loss of due process for students accused of sexual misconduct, and expansion of benefits for students and school staff for abortions.

“Sports should be free of politics, we’re not injecting politics into sports, we’re keeping politics out because it is a pure, ideological crusade that is driving this attempt to change women’s sports,” Kobach <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/963297708765749">said</a> during a press conference.
The suit argues that Biden’s new guidelines violate federal law, as well as the First, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendments.
“This unlawful rule also robs girls and women of their opportunity to participate in their school’s education programs and activities, especially athletics, by forcing them to compete with biological males,” the suit says. “It forces both boys and girls, in their most formative years, to sacrifice their privacy in personal spaces such as restrooms, locker rooms, and even overnight accommodations.”
A number of other Republican officials <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/more-states-file-flurry-of-lawsuits-against-biden-admin-over-transgender-title-ix-rules" target="_blank" rel="noopener">have filed</a> challenges to Biden’s Title IX re-write, including Montana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Idaho, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
