Prominent transgender medical activists are up in arms over the American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ recommendation that children under 19 not have body parts surgically removed to treat gender confusion.
The ASPS left no uncertainty on its position on gender surgery for minors in its February 3 policy <a href="https://www.plasticsurgery.org/documents/health-policy/positions/2026-gender-surgery-children-adolescents.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a>, which recommends “surgeons delay gender-related breast/chest, genital, and facial surgery until a patient is at least 19 years old.”
A group of only seven individuals, who identified themselves as “Concerned members of the ASPS Gender Surgery Task Force,” <a href="https://acaps-prri.informz.net/acaps-prri/data/images/Open_Letter_to_the_Board_of_the_American_Society_of_Plastic_Surgeons.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">signed an open letter</a> to the ASPS demanding the organization provide clarifying information about the gender surgery statement, including its authors’ names, how it was developed, and if the board considered the “areas of emerging consensus” being reached by the task force.
“Clarification of the process used in developing this position statement is necessary to ensure transparency, accountability, and confidence in ASPS governance,” the letter reads.
Signatories of the letter include leaders of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH), a leading force pushing transgender procedures for minors. That includes WPATH president Asa Radix, MD, President-Elect Loren Schechter, MD, and board of directors member Scott Leibowitz, MD, who expected the “Gender Surgery Task Force” to “inform future ASPS statements or policy positions,” according to the letter.
&#8220;Let&#8217;s be clear: this is not a serious response from unbiased plastic surgeons,” Dr. Kurt Miceli, Medical Director at Do No Harm, told The Daily Wire. “This is a malicious attempt by WPATH activists to sow mistrust in ASPS&#8217;s meticulous and well-supported position statement on pediatric sex-rejecting procedures.”
“Their objections amount to little more than procedural complaints and never grapple with the substance of ASPS’s new position statement. This coordinated pushback should be recognized for what it is: unfounded and politically driven,&#8221; Miceli added.
The Daily Wire first reviewed the letter after it was obtained by Do No Harm. The ASPS told The Daily Wire the letter is based on a &#8220;series of misunderstandings.”
“It is important to note that the letter is based on a series of misunderstandings, which ASPS is in the process of clarifying for its members,” the group said.
WPATH is an activist medical organization that promotes discredited <a href="https://opa.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/2025-11/gender-dysphoria-report.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">science</a> that is heavily reliant on medical consensus, rather than scientific evidence.
When deciding what would be included in its clinical guidance, WPATH members <a href="https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8299905/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">created consensus</a> among its members by anonymously voting if they agreed or disagreed with proposed clinical recommendation statements, according to its <a href="https://wpath.org/publications/soc8/methodology/#delphi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a>.
The open letter described how a similar process was being used by the “Gender Surgery Task Force” to find areas of “emerging consensus,” noting the task force was “actively working towards a summary intended to inform Board-level deliberation regarding any Society position or policy statement.”
Both the <a href="https://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ukgwa/20250310143933/https://cass.independent-review.uk/home/publications/final-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cass Review</a> and the Department of Health and Human Services report on the treatment of gender dysphoria note that pediatric gender medicine guidelines rely heavily on medical consensus amongst like-minded professionals, rather than strong evidence.
“Many internationally influential guidelines, including those from WPATH, the Endocrine Society, and the American Academy of Pediatrics, have been criticized for substantial methodological shortcomings and inadequately managed conflicts of interest, resulting in recommendations not reliably supported by rigorous evidence,” the <a href="https://opa.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/2025-11/gender-dysphoria-report.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">HHS report</a> says.
“This pattern of circular referencing and mutual endorsement among these guidelines further compromises their credibility and has likely perpetuated a perceived consensus in pediatric gender medicine that belies the actual paucity of high-quality evidence,” the report reads.
The ASPS statement cited several comprehensive evidence reviews, including the HHS <a href="https://opa.hhs.gov/gender-dysphoria-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a>, showing a departure from the consensus model adopted by many medical organizations.
WPATH did not immediately respond to The Daily Wire’s request for comment.

Doctors who perform transgender procedures on children across the globe may soon be unwelcome in the United States thanks to new legislation proposed by a North Carolina Republican.
Rep. Addison McDowell introduced a bill Thursday that would block the entry of foreign doctors who have put American children on cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers or performed transgender surgeries on them. The proposal, first shared with The Daily Wire, would also bar the entry of foreign doctors who are members of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), a radical organization that has promoted transgender procedures for kids. 
“There is no reason Washington should look the other way while American kids are harmed overseas,” McDowell told The Daily Wire. “This bill draws a clear line – if you participate in the mutilation of American children, you are not welcome in this country.”
The push comes as there have been <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-news/families-say-leaving-us-anti-transgender-climate-rcna206560">reports</a> of parents leaving the United States with their children to pursue such procedures because of the Trump administration’s crackdown on radical transgender ideology. 
“This is about protecting kids, plain and simple,” McDowell added. “If a procedure is so extreme that it’s restricted in states here at home, we shouldn’t allow foreign actors to profit from it and then come back to the United States like nothing happened. American children deserve protection, not loopholes.”
Republican Reps. Tim Moore (NC), Josh Brecheen (OK), Randy Weber (TX), David Taylor (OH), and Marlin Stutzman (IN) are co-sponsoring the legislation, titled the “Protecting Children From Foreign Mutilation Act.”
&#8220;Foreigners who perform irreversible gender transition procedures on our children are not welcome here. Congress must continue our work to shield our children and families from falling victim to the Left&#8217;s gender ideology, and I&#8217;m proud to support the Protecting Children from Foreign Mutilation Act,” Taylor said.
The legislation would also bar entry into the United States from those who operated a clinic, hospital, or pharmacy that facilitated “chemical or surgical mutilations” of American citizens. It would also allow for revocations of current visas granted to pro-trans doctors and WPATH members. 
WPATH has long <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/leading-transgender-health-association-releases-new-guidelines">faced criticism</a> over its Standards of Care policies, which have no minimum age recommendations for minors to obtain puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, or surgeries like removing the breasts of girls who identify as boys. The standards also suggest that males under the age of 18 can have vaginoplasties, a procedure where a fake vagina is made using genital tissue.

The bill would also create a reporting mechanism that allows people to report doctors or others who have facilitated these treatments, to aid the State Department in carrying out the ban. An exemption from visa restrictions would exist for whistleblowers who have spoken out against transgender procedures. 
If the bill becomes law, Secretary of State Marco Rubio would be required to produce a report detailing the actions being taken to enforce it and the number of doctors barred from entry under the act.
The legislation is backed by the American Principles Project, a conservative organization that fights for traditional American values. 
“Voters gave Republicans a mandate to fix the Democrats’ immigration mess and root out evil from our health care system,” American Principles Project President Terry Schilling told The Daily Wire. “The Protecting Children from Foreign Mutilation Act does both,” Schilling said. “American families deserve the very best care delivered by ethical doctors, not glorified butchers bearing dubious diplomas.”

‘Not Welcome’: Pro-Trans Foreign Doctors Could Soon Be Banned From The United States

Florida took legal action on Tuesday against a trio of medical organizations that promote transgender procedures on children, The Daily Wire has learned. 
Republican Attorney General James Uthmeier filed a suit against the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the Endocrine Society, and the American Academy of Pediatrics over their support of transgender procedures on kids. The suit accuses the organizations of pushing irreversible medical procedures on gender-confused children for financial benefit. 
“For years, these groups insisted the recommendations were settled science, but behind closed doors, they knew the evidence was weak,” Uthmeier said in a video shared with The Daily Wire. “They knew the outcomes [were] uncertain, and the risks very real. Parents were not told the full story. In fact, some parents were told that if they didn’t put their kids through permanent, life-altering, sick procedures, like double mastectomies and castration, their child would commit suicide. Not only is that unethical and dangerous medicine, but it is against the law.”
Uthmeier added that “truth was replaced with political activism.”

The suit was filed in the 19th Judicial Circuit Court in Saint Lucie County, Florida. It accuses the organizations of violating Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and engaging in racketeering by misleading “patients, parents, insurers, regulators, and courts about the reversibility and efficacy of pediatric sex interventions.”
The organizations’ “immoral actions capitalize on the mental distress of children — as well as the natural affections and fears [of] their parents — to help their members sell lucrative surgeries and drugs that irreversibly mutilate and chemically alter children’s bodies without providing any credible medical benefit,” a copy of the 75-page lawsuit obtained by The Daily Wire states.
The suit lays out a comprehensive history of the development of transgender procedures and how each organization has pushed guidelines that endorsed procedures like puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries that remove the breasts of girls who identify as boys. 
“Defendants have a problem: there is no credible evidence that sex interventions alleviate pediatric gender dysphoria. To convince patients, insurance companies, regulators, and judges otherwise, Defendants initiated a coordinated campaign to develop ‘clinical guidelines’ recommending sex intervention for pediatric gender dysphoria,” the suit reads. 
Uthmeier wants the court to rule that the organizations’ promotion of transgender procedures constitutes unfair trade practices, impose a civil penalty of $1 million against each defendant, block the organizations from advertising the procedures as safe and reversible, and impose a $10,000 penalty for each time a false claim about the safety of transgender procedures was made. 
“Defendants have disseminated multiple misleading advertisements with the same or similar intent (to legitimize and promote sex interventions as treatment for pediatric gender dysphoria), results (the purchase of pediatric sex interventions), accomplices (co-Defendants), victims (minors experiencing gender dysphoria and those paying for their care, such as parents, legal guardians, employers, and insurers), and methods of commission (through representations on their websites and publications),” the suit continues. 
Groups such as the American Parents Coalition, Consumers’ Research, and Do No Harm all praised Uthmeier’s actions. 
“The years-long coordinated campaign by WPATH and other medical organizations to disregard the serious health risks of sex change interventions on minors will go down as the most egregious medical scandal in modern history,” Do No Harm medical director Kurt Miceli told The Daily Wire. “These groups have obfuscated risk and misrepresented the low quality of evidence to support puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, and surgeries for children — interventions that can cause lasting harm.”

One of the big problems we have in the West — and this has been true for many years at this point — is the perversion of science.
For at least one decade in the United States, there was a grand delusion that was promoted by nearly every member of the legacy media. It was promoted by universities; it was promoted by Hollywood.
The basic idea was simple: A boy could be a girl. A girl could be a boy. There could be a female brain inside a male body, and vice versa. Sex was not, in fact, defined by biology. It was defined by the soul hovering inside you that might be a different sex than your actual physical body.
This was treated as a fundamental, eternal truth by most people in a position of authority. Why? Because the scientific community decided it was going to back the insanity of the gender theories.
Now it turns out that virtually all of that was just based on absolute nonsense.
According to <a href="https://www.thefp.com/p/were-all-just-winging-it-what-the">The Free Press</a>: 
<blockquote>At their conferences, closed to outsiders and the press, the gender clinicians allowed themselves to speak freely. They spoke about the boys who said they wanted to be girls and the girls who felt they were meant to be boys, and the medical and surgical interventions that would make them appear as the opposite sex. The clinicians also discussed new procedures for a new type of patient—some of them adolescents—who wanted to be made to look as if they had no sex at all. 
In one of the videos, obtained exclusively by The Free Press, from the 2021 conference of the US Professional Association for Transgender Health, Amy Penkin, a social worker with the Transgender Health Program at the Oregon Health &amp; Science University (OHSU) spoke about one such case. Penkin told the audience about Sky, who she described as an 18-year-old recent high school graduate who was living on his own for the first time.
Penkin explained that Sky expressed a desire to look like “a Barbie down there.” Sky, Penkin said, reported “being asexual, never having had sex, and having no desire to have sex in the future.” Indeed, Sky did “not want to feel any pleasurable sensation and hope[d] removal of all erogenous tissue [would] be possible,” according to Penkin.
Not so long ago, a patient like Sky would have been given a psychological evaluation and offered mental health counseling. But in the evolving world of gender medicine, clinicians now want to help young people like Sky achieve their gender goals.
Penkin explained to fellow professionals that requests for procedures that are “nonbinary” are “growing in number.” But the field is still wedded to binary assumptions. This means that procedures such as “nullification” (surgically leaving patients with no external genitals) or “penile preserving vaginoplasty” (surgically crafting a pseudo-vagina underneath the penis) are not as accessible as they should be.
Penkin said that when confronted with a patient like Sky, existing “research” and “standards of care” are “not enough to meet the needs of our patients, and we need to take it to the next level to really think about how we evolve and match the needs of our patients as their needs are being expressed to us.”</blockquote>
Here is Penkin <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-2327-trump-fights-the-climate-change-cult">speaking</a> at a gathering of a major professional association for transgender health:
<blockquote>This is Sky, who&#8217;s 18 years old. They recently graduated from high school and report living on their own for the first time. At consult, they expressed a desire to look like a “Barbie” down there. They report being asexual, never having had sex, and having no desire to have sex in the future. Sky does not want to feel any pleasurable sensation and hopes removal of all erogenous tissue will be possible. And they come to our clinic with a referral and two letters of support for vulva plastic surgery.
We came to deliver this presentation because we recognize that the tools in our system, such as what is evidence-based practice and the research tell us what are the standards of care tell us, that is not enough to meet the needs of our patients and we need to take it to the next level to really think about how we evolve and match the needs of our patients, as their needs are being expressed to us.</blockquote>
That is an amazing statement, that patients express their needs to doctors as though they&#8217;re simply going into the store and buying a cup of coffee, and the doctors are then tasked with fulfilling the needs of their patients.
That is precisely the opposite of how medical science is supposed to work. It is the job of the doctor to diagnose. It is the job of the doctor to tell you about your own biology and what is true and what is false.

But that’s not the way it works in the world of so-called trans medicine. A psychologist named Mair Marsiglio agreed and described doing just that. She spoke about the idea that even people with multiple personality disorder or psychosis should not be barred from mutilating surgery.
The Free Press continued:  
<blockquote>One of the biggest revelations from the recordings is how these clinicians acknowledge performing unproven, seemingly experimental treatments—only it appears there is often no protocol being followed, no formal research being conducted, and no ethics-board approval being sought. These practitioners say their goal is to fulfill the “embodiment” desires of their patients, whatever these may be, and doing this may require “deviat[ing] from guidelines.” </blockquote>
Thus, people get together at conferences and change the guidelines, the standards of care, in order to match what the “patients would like” from these particular “medical practitioners.”
In order to get all this done, what was required was groupthink. British endocrinology consultant Leighton Seal explained that the best way to avoid criticism was to make the decisions as a group:
<blockquote>And therefore, when you&#8217;re doing operations, we have to accept, at some point somebody will regret the surgery they&#8217;ve done. so to allow people to move the field forward. You need to have a support network around you as a clinician so that if that decision is made and that decision is regretted, how did you make that decision process?
So as an individual practitioner, if you make that in isolation, you could be vulnerable to being criticized for doing something that is outside of the norm. Whereas if you have a network around you where a clinical team in concert with the individual has made a decision, you then have a framework to say, “Well, the ethics of this were explored.”</blockquote>
This is all insanity.
Why am I bringing this up? Let&#8217;s be real, conservatives won on this issue because reality was always going to win, even when it was unpopular.

So why does this matter? Because it&#8217;s not just that there are consequences for bad science in the field of trans ideology. There are consequences for everyone.
This is also true in the world of the economy. Evidence has emerged that a major climate change study published in Nature is false.
The Wall Street Journal <a href="https://www.wsj.com/science/environment/climate-change-study-retraction-nature-454cd61b?mod=hp_lead_pos5">reported</a>:
<blockquote>The research, published last year in the prestigious journal Nature, projected that the world’s economic output would decline 62% by 2100 under a high-carbon emissions scenario. The estimate was much more severe than other forecasts, prompting scrutiny of the underlying data. “We broadly agree with the issues raised, and have made corrections to the underlying economic data and to our methodology to address them,” said study author Leonie Wenz, from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany. “These changes are too substantial for a correction of the original article in Nature.”
&#8230; after the study was published, other researchers found that economic data from one country—Uzbekistan—during a short time from 1995 to 1999 had skewed the results. Without Uzbekistan, the 2100 damage forecast fell to 23%, not 62%.</blockquote>
Here is what&#8217;s amazing. The study had already been cited by the time it was pulled by the U.S. Congressional Budget Office, the World Bank, and the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS), a coalition of central banks.
This horrible study was used in order to determine whether banks could invest in certain things.
<blockquote>Central bank models of the economic impacts of climate change could have far-reaching implications. If these models show impacts are going to be much worse than previously thought, regulators could make banks set aside more capital to buffer against potential losses associated with assets exposed to climate change…</blockquote>
This means the banks would have to hold more cash back and not lend it out to other businesses because of the potential risk from climate change.
The study was overtly wrong.
They had to pull it, but it is on the very basis of bad science that many, many decisions are made.
That is why it is a very good thing that the president of the United States will not bow to transgender ideology or climate change extremists.

A woman who has served as the managing director for a radical transgender activist organization handles the same role for over two dozen mainstream major medical organizations, a watchdog group revealed Wednesday. 
Sue O’Sullivan of Veritas Association Management is the managing director of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and 26 other medical organizations across the United States, according to tax documents reviewed by the American Accountability Foundation. WPATH is a radical organization that has pushed for transgender medical procedures on children, including the removal of breasts for girls who identify as boys, and opposed laws to protect kids from such procedures. 
O’Sullivan is the <a href="https://veritasamc.com/team/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">co-founder</a> and president of Veritas Association Management, an Illinois-based professional services company that manages operations for dozens of mainstream medical organizations like the American Pediatric Surgical Association and the American Society of Andrology. 
<a href="https://americanaccountabilityfoundation.com/news/">The American Accountability Foundation</a> told The Daily Wire that the ties between O’Sullivan and WPATH could jeopardize the medical integrity of other organizations managed by Veritas Association Management. In total, the watchdog group identified 51 medical organizations or symposia that have some ties to Veritas.  
“Veritas Association Management’s entanglement with WPATH represents a serious reputational and ethical concern for organizations that engage its services. The medical association community should scrutinize Veritas’ role in legitimizing WPATH’s radical practices and consider the consequences of these relationships,” the American Accountability Foundation said in a report shared with The Daily Wire on its findings. 
The ties between WPATH and Veritas are well-established on both social media and the association management company’s website. 
For example, a Facebook post shows O’Sullivan and a team from Veritas attending WPATH’s October 2024 symposium in Portugal.

Veritas’ <a href="https://veritasamc.com/clients/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">client lists</a> include both WPATH and the United States Professional Association for Transgender Health, a regional affiliate of WPATH. Veritas is also currently <a href="https://veritasamc.com/careers/wpath-executive-director/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">advertising</a> for an executive director role for WPATH, whose duties include “leveraging Veritas resources to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the staff and administrative activities” and “advancing transgender health equity.” The position is listed as being based in East Dundee, Illinois, where Veritas Association Management is located. 
WPATH has opposed Republican-backed laws shielding kids from irreversible transgender medical procedures and put out a <a href="https://wpath.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/01.28.25-WPATH-Board-Statement-Regarding-Executive-Order.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> attacking President Donald Trump for his executive order directing all funding be cut off for entities that promote transgenderism for kids. 
O’Sullivan is listed on <a href="https://wpath.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/FINAL-Joint-WPATH-USPATH-Statement-On-Resumption-of-Medically-Necessary-Surgeries-During-COVID.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">multiple</a> WPATH documents pushing transgender procedures, including <a href="https://app.wpath.org/media/cms/Documents/Public%20Policies/2021/Joint%20WPATH%20USPATH%20Letter%20Dated%20Oct%2012%202021.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">putting</a> children on puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. 
Tax documents analyzed by the American Accountability Foundation show that O’Sullivan spends eight times as much time working for WPATH than the other medical associations she manages or directs.  
WPATH’s IRS <a href="https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/942675140/202413039349301991/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">form 990</a> for the fiscal year ending December 2023 shows that O’Sullivan is the organization’s managing director and reports spending eight hours per week in that role, which is more than the four weekly hours reported by WPATH President Marci Bowers. She only spends one hour a week for each of the other 26 medical organizations where she serves as either the managing or executive director, according to an analysis of tax documents by the American Accountability Foundation.
For example, O’Sullivan only reports working one hour per week for organizations like the <a href="https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/237097289/202432409349301603/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">American Pediatric Surgical Association</a> or the <a href="https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/383845227/202423209349325737/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Society of Ob Gyn Hospitalists</a> where she is listed as the managing director.

“As many of the organizations that contract with Veritas operate on relatively lean budgets with no (or few) in-house staff, Veritas Association Management substantially runs all day-to-day operations for many of these organizations. In fact, many organizations that contract with Veritas disclose in their tax filings that their boards have delegated all management to Veritas,” the American Accountability Foundation reported. 
After reaching out for comment to the Indian American Urological Association, the group told The Daily Wire that it ended its affiliation with Veritas last year.
The same <a href="https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/942675140/202413039349301991/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">form 990</a> reveals that WPATH has handed over many organizational responsibilities to Veritas. Veritas has control of WPATH’s books and records in addition to having responsibility for “management duties.” 
In its report, the American Accountability Foundation identified 10 major medical organizations where O’Sullivan is either the managing director or the executive director who delegates management responsibilities to Veritas.
These groups included the American Association of Clinical Urologists, Society of Abdominal Radiology, Society for Vascular Medicine, Society of Thoracic Radiology, the North American Society for Cardiac Imaging, Society for Basic Urological Research, Ohio Urological Society, Society Of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, the International Skeletal Society, and the American Pediatric Surgical Association Foundation. 
Many of these organizations list their address at the corporate address of Veritas Association Management. 
In its <a href="https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/593243373/202410899349300416/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">filing</a>, the American Pediatric Surgical Association Foundation noted that it “delegated control over management duties customarily performed by or under the direct supervision of officers, directors, trustees or key employees to Veritas Association Management, Inc.”
The Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, where O’Sullivan is listed as managing director, paid Veritas $<a href="https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/223293645/202411379349301626/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">358,900</a> in 2023. Other Veritas clients where O’Sullivan is listed as managing or executive director include the American Venous Forum Foundation, which paid Veritas $<a href="https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/363634626/202433209349324968/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">294,600;</a> the Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists, which paid $<a href="https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/383845227/202423209349325737/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">167,200</a>; and the Society for Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology, which paid $<a href="https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/461912833/202431389349301343/full" target="_blank" rel="noopener">131,800</a>.
Other groups that Veritas says it is associated with include the Big XII Team Physicians (which a spokesman said is not officially affiliated with the Big XII conference), the Pediatric Pharmacy Association, and the International Pediatric Endosurgery Group.
Apart from WPATH, multiple other groups linked to O’Sullivan and Veritas Association Management have issued statements in support of so-called “gender-affirming care” for children or backing transgender ideology. 
For example, the American Pediatric Pharmacy Association <a href="https://www.ppag.org/?pg=PositionStatements" target="_blank" rel="noopener">endorsed</a> as its own position a <a href="https://publications.aap.org/aapnews/news/25340/AAP-reaffirms-gender-affirming-care-policy?autologincheck=redirected" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> from the American Academy of Pediatricians backing transgender medical procedures on kids. 
The American Pediatric Surgical Association also <a href="https://apsapedsurg.org/apsa-info/about-us/apsa-statements/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">points</a> visitors to its website to a letter from a number of Left-leaning medical organizations decrying proposals during the first Trump administration to define sex as only male and female. 
The American Accountability Foundation believes that these connections may lead to the radical transgender procedures advocated for by WPATH to be normalized in the medical mainstream. 
“Veritas’ client list includes mainstream medical associations, many of which may be unaware of the extent of Veritas’ involvement with WPATH,” the watchdog warned. “By managing these organizations alongside WPATH, Veritas risks mainstreaming and normalizing WPATH’s radical policies within the broader medical community.”

Here&#8217;s a little history on barbaric medical experiments that you probably weren&#8217;t taught in school. In the early 1950s, lobotomies were having something of a heyday in the United States.
Approximately 50,000 lobotomies were performed in just a couple of years. Doctors were eager to drill holes into people&#8217;s skulls and carve out brain matter. But the United States was an outlier in this regard. Elsewhere in the world, around the same time, lobotomies were being outlawed. The Soviet Union banned lobotomies in 1950, with officials saying the practice was &#8220;contrary to the principles of humanity&#8221; because it turned people into, &#8220;idiots.&#8221; Soon afterwards, countries like Germany and Japan followed suit with their own bans on lobotomies. But the United States never implemented a similar ban of its own. To this day, there is no federal decree banning lobotomies — even though it&#8217;s universally recognized as a grotesque procedure that has a permanent, catastrophic effect on some of the most vulnerable people in society.
In 2025, of course, this is something of a moot point. Lobotomies aren&#8217;t performed in the United States anymore. People become hollowed-out, 50-IQ shells of their former selves through a steady diet of TikTok and Netflix instead. But at the same time, we do have a kind of modern analogue to lobotomies in this country. For the past decade or so, the idea of &#8220;transgender medicine&#8221; has taken hold in pretty much every major hospital. Like lobotomies, so-called trans medicine promises to fix a serious mental problem by artificially modifying — and in some cases carving up — the human body. And like lobotomies, oftentimes, these transgender procedures are performed on children. As we&#8217;ve documented many times, hospitals all over the country have provided cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers to minors, in order to affirm their subjective sense of gender (and to make some money for the hospital, of course). And in some cases, hospitals have gone beyond that. They&#8217;ve offered full-on surgeries as well, including double mastectomies and &#8220;vaginoplasties&#8221;, to children under the age of 18. This is not a conspiracy theory. This is not a right-wing talking point. Pull up research papers from, say, Boston&#8217;s Children&#8217;s Hospital, and you&#8217;ll find that they&#8217;ve <a href="https://x.com/wesyang/status/1559930612546523140" target="_blank" rel="noopener">admitted</a> to performing dozens of double mastectomies on minors. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-troubling-case-of-jazz-jennings-the-medias-first-transgender-child">Jazz Jennings</a> was 17 years old when surgeons mutilated his genitals and created a fake &#8220;vagina&#8221; in its place. There is no denying it: As was the case with lobotomies, children are being permanently disfigured in the name of junk science.
But as of yesterday, the analogy to lobotomies ends there. That&#8217;s because this time around, the Trump administration has made it very clear that we&#8217;re not going to wait for the rest of the world to ban this barbarism. We&#8217;re going to do it ourselves. Thanks to four years of Democrat rule, we are still, once again, behind much of the western world here. But better late than never. It has now been declared at the highest levels of government that there is no justifiable reason whatsoever to castrate, sterilize, or mutilate a young child in order to affirm that child&#8217;s alleged &#8220;gender identity,&#8221; which is a meaningless, invented and completely unscientific concept. We&#8217;re going to lay the groundwork for massive lawsuits against the butchers who have taken part in this affront to common sense and human decency. We&#8217;re going to stop forcing taxpayers to subsidize the quacks behind this fraud. We&#8217;re going to empower the DOJ to pursue criminal action against anyone who mutilates the genitals of a child. And that&#8217;s just the beginning.

All of these tenets were outlined in the executive order that Donald Trump signed yesterday, which is <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/protecting-children-from-chemical-and-surgical-mutilation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">entitled</a>, &#8220;PROTECTING CHILDREN FROM CHEMICAL AND SURGICAL MUTILATION.&#8221; To be clear, this is distinct from Trump&#8217;s other orders on gender ideology, which we&#8217;ve <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTBFEsUfKik" target="_blank" rel="noopener">discussed</a> before. Previously, Trump has banned transgender-identifying people in the military, and he&#8217;s established that there are only two genders. He&#8217;s also eliminated all forms of DEI. But as important as those orders are, this one is even more expansive and far-reaching. It&#8217;s not an exaggeration to say that Trump has just signed one of the top-5 most important executive orders in the history of the United States, at a minimum.
So, let&#8217;s go through it in detail. And as we do, I&#8217;ll make it clear what this order does, and what it doesn&#8217;t do. To begin with, the order defines &#8220;gender-affirming care&#8221; as the equivalent of &#8220;chemical and surgical mutilation,&#8221; which encompasses everything from surgeries to puberty-blockers and cross-sex hormones. So right away, the federal government has just eliminated the Biden administration&#8217;s endorsement of &#8220;gender-affirming care.&#8221; And now we&#8217;ve replaced it with much more accurate terminology.
Then the order makes, by far, its most important contribution to ending gender ideology in this country. I will recap <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/protecting-children-from-chemical-and-surgical-mutilation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the order</a> here, and then I&#8217;ll explain why this matters so much: &#8220;The blatant harm done to children by chemical and surgical mutilation cloaks itself in medical necessity, spurred by guidance from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), which lacks scientific integrity.&#8221; The order then states that all federal agencies, including HHS, must rescind any and all reliance on WPATH guidelines.
It then states that the new HHS secretary, &#8220;shall publish a review of the existing literature on best practices for promoting the health of children who assert gender dysphoria, rapid-onset gender dysphoria, or other identity-based confusion.&#8221;
On the surface, you might think this particular part of the order isn&#8217;t necessarily that important. But it&#8217;s actually critical, for two reasons. First of all, as I&#8217;ve <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2DEkBALrT0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">outlined</a> at some length before, WPATH is — and has always been — an organization full of dishonest and demented charlatans. The internal <a href="https://environmentalprogress.org/big-news/wpath-files" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WPATH files</a>, as reported by Michael Shellenberger, demonstrated very clearly that WPATH understands that children can&#8217;t consent to chemical or physical castration. But they pushed it anyway — in part because the Biden administration <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/25/health/transgender-minors-surgeries.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">encouraged</a> them to do so. And yet, major hospitals have adopted WPATH&#8217;s guidelines for so-called &#8220;trans medicine,&#8221; wholesale, over the last few years.
This is happening for a very specific reason. Doctors — including &#8220;gender doctors&#8221; — are terrified of one thing, which is malpractice lawsuits. Malpractice lawsuits can bankrupt doctors. They can destroy entire hospitals, if they&#8217;re big enough. So there&#8217;s a lot of risk involved in sterilizing or castrating a child. At the same time, these doctors desperately want to perform &#8220;gender affirming procedures,&#8221; because they make a lot of money for the hospital. As you might remember, I found a <a href="https://x.com/mattwalshblog/status/1572313523232931840" target="_blank" rel="noopener">video</a> of a Vanderbilt doctor saying exactly that.
The solution that these gender doctors have decided on, is to defer to the self-appointed &#8220;experts&#8221; at WPATH. They know that, if they can point to an established &#8220;standard of care&#8221; from some governing body, then they&#8217;re basically immune from malpractice lawsuits. That&#8217;s how malpractice law works. If doctors can show that they were just following established guidelines, then you can&#8217;t sue them.
That&#8217;s why this Trump executive order is so important. From this point forward, the WPATH guidelines are no longer the &#8220;standard of care,&#8221; by any definition. The federal government — and its healthcare agency, the HHS — have just publicly rejected everything WPATH stands for. The White House and HHS have just labeled WPATH &#8220;junk science,&#8221; which is exactly what it is. So doctors can no longer hide behind WPATH&#8217;s guidelines to avoid malpractice lawsuits. And right away, that will cause their malpractice insurance to go through the roof. It&#8217;ll dramatically enhance their liability. And eventually it will make them stop these procedures entirely.
But just in case it doesn&#8217;t, the executive order contains this provision: &#8220;The head of each executive department or agency (agency) that provides research or education grants to medical institutions, including medical schools and hospitals, shall &#8230; immediately take appropriate steps to ensure that institutions receiving Federal research or education grants end the chemical and surgical mutilation of children.&#8221;
In other words, if a hospital receives any kind of federal funding — which every major hospital does — then they need to stop castrating and sterilizing children. Otherwise, they stand to lose hundreds of millions of dollars. And in fact, they might lose even more than that. The order continues by mandating that, &#8220;The Attorney General shall: review Department of Justice enforcement of section 116 of title 18, United States Code, and prioritize enforcement of protections against female genital mutilation.&#8221;
Additionally, the attorney general must, &#8220;in consultation with the Congress, work to draft, propose, and promote legislation to enact a private right of action for children and the parents of children whose healthy body parts have been damaged by medical professionals practicing chemical and surgical mutilation, which should include a lengthy statute of limitations.&#8221;
Taken together, these two provisions don&#8217;t just make it easier for victims to sue doctors who perform these barbaric procedures. They also open the door for the federal government to investigate and even imprison doctors who mutilate the bodies of children. 
As you might remember, around 20 years ago, the Left claimed to care about &#8220;female genital mutilation&#8221; in Africa, so they passed a law outlawing the practice in the United States. But now, under the guise of trans medicine, female genital mutilation is supposedly progressive, somehow. Now the Trump administration is threatening to use that criminal law to go after these gender doctors. And at the same time, the Trump administration is also cutting any kind of government-sponsored insurance that would cover these practices.
Having said all that, I need to make it clear that this executive order — as momentous as it is — does not, by itself, ban child sterilization and mutilation in this country. It makes it far more risky for doctors to perform these procedures. It suggests that the DOJ might be launching criminal investigations soon. And it makes it a lot harder for some of these hospitals and insurance companies to collect taxpayer money. But it&#8217;s not a direct ban, by itself. Outside of the many states that have banned this insanity, it remains legal — in places like California and Minnesota and so on. And on top of that, if Democrats retake the White House in four years, they can reverse all of this. Trump has done the absolute maximum of what a president can do on this issue. He can say, with absolute sincerity, that he has done everything he can to put an end to this insanity. But he’s going to need help to finish the job.
Therefore, what&#8217;s needed now, as I&#8217;ve <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40IDFd_7MY0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> many times before, is a law banning these procedures at the federal level. This is clearly an ideal moment to advance a national ban like that, because gender ideology is now less popular than it has ever been. Trans activists have been utterly humiliated and rejected on the national stage. They haven&#8217;t even really mustered any kind of outrage about Trump&#8217;s previous executive orders dismantling their ideology. So it stands to reason that they would be powerless as Congress passes the killshot, which is a complete and total ban on chemical and physical mutilation in the name of gender ideology.
As the executive order itself states, &#8220;Across the country today, medical professionals are maiming and sterilizing a growing number of impressionable children under the radical and false claim that adults can change a child’s sex through a series of irreversible medical interventions. This dangerous trend will be a stain on our Nation’s history, and it must end.&#8221;

Just a year ago, as a man pretending to be a woman led our nation&#8217;s federal health agency, it was easy to doubt that this moment would ever come. I have said for years that child “gender transitions” will eventually be a thing of the past, and that nobody will want to admit that they ever supported it or tolerated it. Now that time is almost here. The barbarism of child gender butchery is on its very last legs. Very soon, you won&#8217;t be able to find a single person in the country who admits to ever having supported it. For the sake of millions of confused and vulnerable people all over the country, and in particular for the sake of children, we have no choice but to finish the job.
One other thing about this. The child butchery business is collapsing. Soon it will be gone. It will be ash. And history will look back on it with horror and shame and confusion. But I want to be clear about something. If you are a doctor or medical professional or therapist or psychiatrist who pushed this insanity on children, if you participated in and profited from the psychological and physical abuse of children, this isn’t over for you. You don’t get to just move on. Those of us who have been fighting you for years will not let you just walk away Scott free. We will not rest until you are punished for what you’ve done. You deserve a military tribunal and the sentence that is given to those who commit human rights atrocities. But that probably won’t happen, so instead we will settle with seeing that you are bankrupted, humiliated, shamed, ostracized, and forever alienated from civilized society. We will not forget you. We will remember your names. For as long as there are people in this country who must live forever with the damage you inflicted on them as children, then you also should have to live with the consequences. They can’t pretend that it never happened. And so neither should you. 
Hopefully you’ve noticed that the conservatives you’ve had to deal with in this fight are a different breed. We tore down your whole industry piece by piece. We did exactly what we said we would do. And so now when we say that we are going to make sure that you are held accountable for your crimes against humanity, you should know that we mean it, and we will do it. This isn’t over. I promise you that.

The Supreme Court Showdown That Could End Child Mutilation Forever

A coalition of congressional Republicans urged the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/world-health-organization" target="_blank" rel="noopener">World Health Organization</a> on Monday to “disband” the group it put in charge of developing guidelines on transgenderism, according to a letter first shared with The Daily Wire.
Led by doctors Rep. Rich McCormick (R-GA) and Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS), the lawmakers sent a <a href="https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2024/11/Quill-Letter-L21750-Letter-to-the-Director-General-of-the-World-Health-Organization-RE-Gender-Guideline-Development-Group-Ve-169.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">letter</a> to WHO Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus demanding that he dissolve the organization&#8217;s Guideline Development Group (GDG) on transgenderism because of its ties to leftist activist groups. The lawmakers say that the group has bypassed and ignored scientific evidence showing the harms of transgender procedures in favor of ideology.
“Any guidelines that affect the health and well-being of individuals must be rooted in rigorous scientific evidence and must be free from conflicts of interest,” McCormick told The Daily Wire. “We cannot allow the voices of powerful activists to dictate medical practices that should prioritize patient safety and health outcomes.”
The guidelines group was <a href="https://www.who.int/news/item/18-12-2023-who-announces-the-development-of-a-guideline-on-the-health-of-trans-and-gender-diverse-people" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> in December 2023 with the purpose of developing a framework “on the health of trans and gender diverse people&#8221; and promoting &#8220;health policies that support gender-inclusive care, and legal recognition of self-determined gender identity.&#8221;
In addition to Marshall and McCormick, the letter was signed by 27 House Republicans. Marshall told The Daily Wire that the group was another example of why the United States should cut ties with WHO. 
&#8220;The World Health Organization has abandoned its mission to cater to radical globalist activists; it is past time to stop its funding and cut our losses,&#8221;the Republican senator said. &#8220;The WHO&#8217;s &#8216;gender identity&#8217; cult and its embrace of irreversible mutilation surgeries and psychologically harmful chemical therapies are just one of the many reasons the U.S. needs to walk away from this globalist organization.&#8221;
The letter says that the process surrounding the guidelines has “been shrouded in secrecy, irregularities, and profound conflicts of interest.”
&#8220;Incomprehensibly, the Group bypasses evidence reviews on the safety, effectiveness, risks and costs of treating gender dysphoria with medical interventions, including cross-sex drugs,” the letter says. “Instead, it moves directly to consider how countries should provide such interventions and impose the highly controversial, sex-denying framework of &#8216;gender identity,&#8217; including through legal ‘self-identification.’”
Specifically, the lawmakers take issue with the fact that multiple of the members of the guidance group are members of the far-Left World Professional Association for Transgender Healthcare (WPATH), an organization that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-harris-admin-sued-for-records-on-trans-surgeries-on-minors" target="_blank" rel="noopener">removed</a> age limit restrictions for its guidelines for transgender procedures at the behest of the Biden administration.
The letter noted that Walter Bouman and Gail Knudson, members of the WHO guidance group and WPATH, signed onto a letter to pressure researchers not to publish results that would “negatively affect the provision of transgender health care in the broadest sense.”
The letter said that other <a href="https://cdn.who.int/media/docs/default-source/hq-hiv-hepatitis-and-stis-library/biographies_tgd-gdg_proposed_members_2024.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">members</a> of the GDG have been part of a group called Global Action for Trans Equality, a group that promotes transgender procedures.
“GATE exists to promote, not assess gender transition interventions. It cannot possibly serve as an unbiased participant,” the Republicans wrote.
The lawmakers said that the GDG’s group so far looked more like “a global marketing campaign rather than an honest assessment of the medical evidence.”
“The proposed GDG guidelines mirror the fraudulent WPATH process: like WPATH, the GDG has opted not to review the evidence to determine whether hormones should be widely available. Instead, it will only focus on how to best promote their wide availability,” the lawmakers wrote.

The Republicans said that WHO <a href="https://cdn.who.int/media/docs/default-source/hq-hiv-hepatitis-and-stis-library/tgd_faq_16012024.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">policies</a> that allow sex to be determined by “self-identification” pose a risk to women and children.
“Policies that treat sex as a matter of ‘self-identification’ endanger women and children,” the letter says. “Most Americans recognize this fact, and strongly oppose ‘self-identified’ biological males accessing private spaces and competitions reserved for females.”
The letter says that the whole group should be scrapped, and any future guidelines grounded in a careful review of scientific evidence.
“This vulnerable population deserves evidence-based care, not a shameless promotion of medical experiments tainted by ideology and industry interests,” the lawmakers wrote. “We urge you to disband this Guideline Development Group, investigate the disreputable process that led to its formation, and discard its proposed guidelines.&#8221;
WHO has long come under fire and been accused of politically motivated action from its handling of COVID and close ties to China.
