Popular radio personality <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/charlamagne-tha-god" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charlamagne Tha God</a> flamed the hosts of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; — while sitting at their table — for dishonest coverage of President-elect Donald Trump&#8217;s staffing choices and cabinet nominees.
The conversation between the show&#8217;s cohosts and Charlamagne began with the week&#8217;s hottest topic — namely, President Joe Biden&#8217;s decision to pardon his embattled son Hunter despite claiming repeatedly that he would never do so.
Whoopi Goldberg trotted out her previous claim that Biden had not actually lied about whether or not he planned to pardon Hunter — even though NBC&#8217;s initial report on the pardon suggested that Biden had made the decision shortly after Hunter&#8217;s conviction and his administration had made a conscious decision to tell the public otherwise.
&#8220;You don&#8217;t know that it was a lie,&#8221; she said.
&#8220;You really think he changed his mind over Thanksgiving weekend all of a sudden?&#8221; Charlamagne replied.

Charlamagne challenged Goldberg directly, noting that she appeared to have a hard time admitting it when Democrats were in the wrong. Goldberg objected, claiming that she did just that all the time on the show.
Sunny Hostin pivoted back to the question of whether or not Biden had lied about pardoning Hunter. Unsurprisingly, she argued that he had not lied at all, but had simply made a &#8220;pragmatic&#8221; decision — one that directly contradicted all of his previous statements on the subject.

Cohost Sara Haines asked whether Charlamagne believed that media would ever cover Trump honestly, and he replied, &#8220;The didn&#8217;t do it before, why would they do it now?&#8221;
The cohosts all began talking at once, claiming that their show, at least, had covered Trump honestly.
Charlamagne referenced the excessive number of legal notes Hostin had been prompted to read after their discussions about Trump&#8217;s appointees, and argued that was an indication that the show was not covering Trump honestly.

Goldberg appeared to take issue with statements Hegseth has made — specifically his argument that women should not serve in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/take-it-from-a-female-army-vet-pete-hegseth-is-right-about-women-in-combat" target="_blank" rel="noopener">direct combat roles</a> — and exaggerated that to falsely claim that he did not want women to serve in the military at all.
&#8220;Here you&#8217;re telling people, &#8216;Oh, you&#8217;re not qualified, you&#8217;re not qualified,'&#8221; Goldberg said, her tone condescending. &#8220;That does not seem to be a good way to keep people in a VOLUNTEER ARMY.&#8221;
As the audience laughed and applauded, cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin noted that the military was already facing a crisis with regard to low recruitment numbers — implying that Hegseth&#8217;s position on the issue would only serve to worsen that crisis.

&#8220;The U.S. military has a recruitment crisis, we need more people to volunteer, including women,&#8221; Griffin said.
&#8220;A recruitment crisis among men, especially,&#8221; cohost Sunny Hostin added, apparently suggesting that the military needed more women to make up for the deficit in male recruits.
&#8220;Don&#8217;t worry, we got you. The women got you,&#8221; Goldberg crowed. &#8220;You know, when you get rid of us — if you get rid of the women, you getting rid of half the population. That&#8217;s not a smart move to make.&#8221;
Hegseth has never argued against women in the military in general, but has said that certain combat roles should be reserved for men only.
&#8220;I’m straight up just saying we should not have women in combat roles,” he said on “The Shawn Ryan Show,” adding, “It hasn’t made us more effective, hasn’t made us more lethal, has made fighting more complicated. We’ve all served with women and they’re great, just — our institution don’t have to incentivize that in places where traditionally — not traditionally, over human history — men in those positions are more capable.”

ABC host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/whoopi-goldberg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Whoopi Goldberg</a> complained during a recent broadcast that she had been unable to get her favorite birthday treat from a local Staten Island bakery — and she claimed that her political views were likely the reason for the alleged snub — but the bakery owner said otherwise.
Goldberg had ordered a trifle-like dessert called the Charlotte Russe — with layers of sponge cake, Bavarian cream, and fruit — but Holtermann&#8217;s Bakery, a 145-year-old establishment in Staten Island, initially stated that they could not fill the order due to problems with a boiler.
Goldberg claimed on the air that her political views were a more likely reason, however, saying so during Wednesday&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;The View.&#8221;
&#8220;My birthday dessert today was one of my mom’s favorites from when she was a kid, she talked about these all the time, they’re called Charlotte Russe. It’s a sponge cake with whipped cream and a cherry on top. I should tell you, Charlotte Russe has no political leanings. The place that made these refused to make them for me,&#8221; Goldberg began. &#8220;No, let me explain. They said that their ovens had gone down, but folks went and got them anyway, which is why I’m not telling you who made them. It’s not … because I’m a woman, but perhaps they did not like my politics. But, that’s okay, because you know what, listen, this is my mother’s celebration. Pick these up and celebrate with me and my mom. Thank you everyone for celebrating my birthday today.&#8221;
Goldberg did not initially reveal the name of the bakery — but Entertainment Weekly tracked down the shop based on the packaging the treats had come in, and reached out to the bakery.

&#8220;They’d asked us and we were having trouble with our boilers,&#8221; bakery owner Jill Holtermann told the outlet, explaining that she had initially denied Goldberg&#8217;s order because her boiler was not working properly, and she did not want to accept an order that she might not be able to fill.
&#8220;I said to Whoopi, &#8216;I can’t do it right now,'&#8221; she explained, saying that politics had never even entered into her thoughts. &#8220;We have so many things going on with my boiler,&#8217; because the building is from 1930, so, when she called me, I had no idea [if we could] be baking everything.&#8221;
On the day of the broadcast, a staffer from the show went in to the bakery and was able to purchase the treats because Holtermann had been able to bake them after all.
Staten Island Borough President Vito Fossella gave a press conference in defense of Holtermann&#8217;s Bakery, calling on Goldberg — although not by name — to apologize to Jill Holtermann for defaming her on the air.
&#8220;Not everybody wakes up every day and thinks about politics,&#8221; he said. &#8220;A good business person doesn&#8217;t care about anybody&#8217;s politics.&#8221;

Rumor has it ABC is scrambling to add a pro-<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump">Trump</a> panelist to “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/the-view">The View</a>” in the wake of the president-elect’s landslide victory in the 2024 election. 
The anonymous source who reportedly spoke with the <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/11/13/media/abc-brass-scramble-to-bring-in-pro-trump-voices-to-the-view-and-other-shows-panic-mode/?utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=nypost">New York Post</a> noted how conservatives accused ABC News presidential debate moderators David Muir and Lindsey Davis of tilting the scales against Donald Trump when he faced off against Vice President Kamala Harris in September. Now, the source says company execs are evaluating the network&#8217;s heavily biased shows like “The View.” 
According to the report, the source said ABC News Group &amp; Networks President Debra OConnell and ABC News President Almin Karamehmedovic have had meetings with various executive producers of network shows. One topic of conversation has been adding a Trump supporter to “The View,” which is almost always dominated by far-Left viewpoints from co-hosts like Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines. Token Republican voices have been from anti-Trumpers, such as Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin.
“The View is facing pressure from higher-ups,” the source told The Post. “Viewers can expect some major changes including bringing in new panelists that can bring in a pro-Trump perspective.”
“Everyone on ‘The View’ endorsed Kamala Harris. They lost. They are out of touch with America,” the insider added. “For a show about different perspectives, ‘The View’ doesn’t seem to have any when it comes to Trump. ABC bosses don’t want to alienate the pro-Trump demographic.”
“The question is what will happen to the Whoopis and the Joys if they bring on a Trumpster?” the source said.

The report cited another source who said Trump’s decisive win made ABC execs realize that they should stop ignoring the views of more than half the country. “We are trying to sort out how we cover the next 4 years when everyone inside ABC News is on one side,” the source said of the ABC lineup.
“At the end of the day, these changes aren’t about politics. They are about economics,” the anonymous source explained, per The Post. “Trump got more than half of the vote. TV networks need to find pro-Trump voices and diversify viewpoints to reflect the various perspectives of Americans.”
A spokesperson for the network gave The Daily Wire the following statement on the rumors: “This report is not true. &#8216;The View&#8217; is an opinion-based show featuring a diverse panel of women with different points of view – the current panel is clearly resonating with audiences given that the series just had its highest rated episode in more than a decade and hit a 4-year high in total viewers.”

Cohost Sunny Hostin rounded out the discussion, suggesting that Hegseth is also a &#8220;racist&#8221; because he is on record saying that top brass at the Pentagon need to go and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Charles Brown Jr., is black.

Panelist Ana Navarro reacted to this, saying the next Democratic presidential candidate should make an effort to connect more with voters.

The pair suggested that those people deserved to be cut out because they had voted against people they claimed to love — and Goldberg worried that they might say offensive things to any gay children who might be present.

Whoopi Goldberg suggested on Monday that if Vice President Kamala Harris were to win the presidency, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) would be a good choice to be the Attorney General.
Goldberg, who only became a fan of Cheney and her father, who was previously referred to by Democrats as satan incarnate, when she turned on former President Donald Trump after January 6, 2021, argued that she would &#8220;feel a lot better&#8221; if the recently-ousted Wyoming congresswoman was in charge of things.

Whoopi Goldberg kicked off the conversation, arguing at first that the reaction to Biden&#8217;s remarks — made during a CNN appearance that aired in direct competition with Vice President Kamala Harris&#8217; campaign &#8220;closing argument&#8221; speech — amounted to an overblown &#8220;pearl clutch&#8221; from the political right.

Goldberg played the clip of Biden then, clearly referring to Trump&#8217;s supporters as &#8220;garbage,&#8221; and then pivoted to explain that, since Biden was quick to &#8220;clarify&#8221; what he&#8217;d actually meant, the reaction from those who&#8217;d been labeled &#8220;garbage&#8221; by the sitting President of the United States was excessive.

Biden explained that he&#8217;d been referring to the rhetoric rather than the people, Goldberg said, &#8220;but that didn&#8217;t stop our MAGA friends from seizing upon it. PEARL CLUTCH!&#8221;
Goldberg then suggested that Trump supporters — who were literally quoting Biden&#8217;s exact words — were the ones attempting to &#8220;spin&#8221; his comments.
Cohost Joy Behar weighed in a bit later, complaining that Republicans — after months of saying that Biden was cognitively impaired — suddenly wanted to take him at his word.
Alyssa Farah Griffin, a self-described Republican who has spent most of her time on &#8220;The View&#8221; attacking Trump, said that regardless of interpretation, the optics were bad — and Biden&#8217;s comment had &#8220;stepped on&#8221; Harris&#8217; major speech, the one that was designed to tie a bow on her presidential campaign.
She then quickly backtracked to complain of an unfair double standard, saying that Trump&#8217;s supporters said nothing when Trump insulted people but then got offended when Biden insulted them.
&#8220;Deplorables did matter. That comment from Hillary Clinton did matter,&#8221; Griffin explained.
&#8220;It turned out she was right,&#8221; Goldberg interrupted, prompting a few laughs.

Guest and regular &#8220;Morning Joe&#8221; host Mika Brzezinski weighed in on the former president&#8217;s massive rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, repeating the Democrat narrative that because Nazi sympathizers had once held a rally there in 1939, Trump and his supporters at Sunday&#8217;s rally just also be Nazis.
&#8220;These are the final hours,&#8221; she warned, calling on everyone in the audience to get out and vote.

The website for America PAC has already given two people $1 million and says there will be another winner in Pennsylvania on Monday. Then, each day from Tuesday until November 5 — Election Day — one petition signer from the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, or North Carolina will earn $1 million. America PAC is also offering $47 to anyone who refers a registered swing state voter to sign the petition, and for Pennsylvania in particular, $100 for signers and those who refer another petition signer.
