White people “can’t originally invent anything more than they were able to invent good music,” Joy Reid claimed last week in a podcast interview with New York Times contributing writer Wajahat Ali, who echoed Reid&#8217;s sentiments.
The host of The Joy Reid Show made the comments during an episode of Ali’s Left Hook <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQbVyNEN_C8">podcast</a> titled &#8220;How Mediocre White Men and their Fragility are Destroying America.”
“We black folk gave y’all country music, hip hop, R&amp;B, jazz, rock and roll. They couldn&#8217;t even invent that,” Reid said.
Reid notably did not attribute all music genres to black people. She also did not touch on inventions beyond the realm of music, besides vaguely mentioning “food” and “the economy.”
“We make the food better. We make the economy better. We make the music better,” Ali added.
“Even Elon Musk didn&#8217;t invent them damn Teslas. Two other men invented it. He just bought it,” Reid continued.
Tesla’s two co-founders, Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning, are both <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2021/02/06/tesla-founders-martin-eberhard-marc-tarpenning-on-elon-musk.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">white</a>.
Reid’s comments come as President Donald Trump, now the board chair of The Kennedy Center, recently <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-kennedy-center-announce-honorees/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> that he would be hosting the 2025 Kennedy Center Honors.
Trump helped pick this year’s honorees, including George Strait, Michael Crawford, Gloria Gaynor, KISS, and Sylvester Stallone. He says he rejected a lot of artists because “They were too <a href="https://www.sfchronicle.com/entertainment/article/trump-2025-kennedy-center-20815951.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">woke</a>. I had a couple of wokesters.”
Liberals — Reid included — are upset that Trump is “taking over” The Kennedy Center and the awards ceremony.
“These people cannot create culture on their own. So they need to take over, dominate, appropriate, and control. Without black people, brown people, the DEIs, there’s no culture in America,” Ali insisted to Reid.
According to Ali, Sylvester Stallone receiving a Kennedy Center honor is emblematic of white male fragility.
“Sylvester Stallone became famous because Rocky is all about a white man, a mediocre white man who has no chance in hell of ever ever ever ever ever beating Apollo Creed,” Ali concluded.

WNBA star Caitlin Clark acknowledged her supposed &#8220;white&#8221; privilege and said the WNBA was &#8220;built&#8221; by black women during a recent interview with TIME Magazine.
Clark, who has been <a href="https://www.masslive.com/sports/2024/05/caitlin-clark-responds-to-aja-wilsons-comments-on-race-impacting-stars-popularity.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">disparaged</a> by players in the WNBA based on her skin color, was named TIME&#8217;s Athlete of the Year.
&#8220;I want to say I’ve earned every single thing, but as a white person, there is privilege,&#8221; Clark told TIME. &#8220;A lot of those players in the league that have been really good have been black players. This league has kind of been built on them.&#8221;
Clark went on to say that corporations need to invest in black players.
&#8220;The more we can appreciate that, highlight that, talk about that and then continue to have brands and companies invest in those players that have made this league incredible, I think it’s very important,&#8221; she said.
&#8220;I have to continue to try to change that,&#8221; Clark added. &#8220;The more we can elevate black women, that’s going to be a beautiful thing.&#8221;

As <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/caitlin-clark-admits-feeling-privilege-white-person-says-wnba-built-on-black-players" target="_blank" rel="noopener">highlighted</a> by Fox News, Clark has been the subject of racially charged commentary within the league. For example, WNBA player A&#8217;ja Wilson <a href="https://www.masslive.com/sports/2024/05/caitlin-clark-responds-to-aja-wilsons-comments-on-race-impacting-stars-popularity.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> earlier this year that Clark was popular mainly because of her skin color. Another player, DiJonai Carrington, went after Clark for not discussing racism more. Notably, Carrington poked Clark in the eye during a game, though Clark said she thought it was unintentional. Additionally, in a highly controversial move, Clark was not chosen to be on the women&#8217;s Olympic basketball team.

Clark&#8217;s comments on race prompted some backlash online, including from journalist Megyn Kelly, who criticized her for her act of &#8220;self-flagellation.&#8221;

Elections bring out the very worst in celebrities.
Every four years we get a crush of videos demanding the plebes vote their way or it’s the end of democracy. In 2016 “Save the Day” gathered “Avengers” alum, including Robert Downey, Jr., to warn us that a Donald Trump presidency would be the end of everything (except energy independence, apparently).
The worst might have been white Hollywood’s 2020 response to Black Lives Matter.
The “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGYNboz90iM" target="_blank" rel="noopener">I Take Reasonability” clip</a> redefined cringe for a new generation, as white celebrities bowed down to the Identity Politics cult in serious, black-and-white confessions. Try looking at “Breaking Bad” alum Aaron Paul the same way after watching his portion of the video.
So much White Privilege.
Then again, what happened this week could technically be worse.

They shared her litany of legislative success stories, leadership on protecting Americans from violent illegal immigrants and more.
Just kidding.
They played the gender and race cards against themselves. “Please don’t cancel me!” “We’re doing as we’re told!”
The “dudes” in question? “Lord of the Rings” alum <a href="https://x.com/watchTENETnow/status/1818096753872134196">Sean Astin</a>. Actor <a href="https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/1818092480832606235">Josh Gad</a>, the voice of Olaf the snowman. Singer Josh Groban. Comedian Paul Scheer of “The League” fame. And, shockingly, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/30/politics/video/white-dudes-for-harris-raises-4-million-for-campaign-digvid">Jeff Bridges</a>.
Yes, that Jeff Bridges.
Et tu, Dude?
“I qualify, man. I’m white, I’m a dude, and I’m for Harris.”
Yes, the level of intellectual gamesmanship soared off the charts during the exchange. How could it not, with Biden sycophant-turned-Harris sycophant Mark Hamill joining the fray.

The gathering may be atoning for their collective White Privilege, but their real privilege is economic. They all can survive the inflation surges sending millions of blue-collar Americans scurrying for cover on Harris’ watch.
Their affluence protects them from soaring crime rates across the country, fueled by soft-on-crime Democrats like … Harris. 
She’s gone on record supporting the Defund the Police program and free gender transitions for anyone seeking it, <a href="https://x.com/libsoftiktok/status/1818364626515681345" target="_blank" rel="noopener">even convicted murderers</a>. And are we even allowed to talk about her definitive role as President Joe Biden’s border czar?
Bridges ignored all of the above.
&#8220;I can see her being president … I&#8217;m so excited. A woman president, man. How exciting! And her championing of women&#8217;s rights, I&#8217;m for that.&#8221;

Has Harris stood up for women being pummeled by trans female athletes? <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-news/lgbtq-celebrities-lawmakers-kamala-harris-rcna163542" target="_blank" rel="noopener">That’s not rhetorical</a>. 
Astin leaned into the feminist card like a man cornered at a Women’s March. Harris is “&#8230;qualified, tested, proven woman into the presidency, so that all girls for all time can know that that&#8217;s possible.&#8221;
Here’s betting parents can’t wait to share how Harris got her <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kamalas-former-lover-mentor-keep-voters-continually-guessing-what-her-ideology-is" target="_blank" rel="noopener">big start in politics</a>. Just hope those girls are over 18 when they hear that story.
“West Wing” alum Bradley Whitford clumsily threw President Barack Obama under the presidential bus with his hype game. He said he’s “never felt this kind of enthusiasm ever.”
“Hope and change” is so 2008, apparently.
Then again, perhaps replacing a “Weekend at Bernie’s” cosplayer with a deeply flawed candidate is just the euphoria Democrats craved.
Gad delivered one of those scripted memories that not even Karine Jean-Pierre would buy in his “White Dudes” close-up.
The actor says he &#8220;stood over my kids&#8217; bed and I wept&#8221; when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016.
“That feeling of dread, and that feeling of fear, and that feeling of shame is not something I’m ever willing or able to allow myself to feel again.”
“And … cut! Love it, Josh … let’s take five.”

Once again, back to identity. Not intelligence, accomplishments or gravitas. Gender.
The Harris agenda is simple and, potentially, successful. I am a woman who is both black and Indian American. Those are my qualifications. Ignore my record, radical statements and lack of accomplishments on core issues like the U.S./Mexican border.
Question me or my flip-flops and you’re a racist and a sexist.
And don’t give it a second thought that I haven’t let journalists ask me, well, anything, since announcing my candidacy.
Could Harris handle even softball queries at this point? Remember, President Biden turned down the Super Bowl of softball interviews. Twice.
We all know why. And, after hearing Harris’ word-salad spinnings for three-plus years we think we get her press strategy.
The White Dudes affair did give Americans some digital karma.
X <a href="https://variety.com/2024/digital/news/elon-musk-suspends-white-dudes-for-harris-twitter-x-1236089959/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">briefly suspended the White Dudes</a> for Harris account on his platform. Not cool, but if you can’t see the “turnabout is fair play” angle you haven’t been paying attention. The old Twitter regime aggressively canceled conservatives, fought back against “misinformation” on COVID that turned out to be true and much more.
The assembled White Dudes for Kamala said nothing about that, of course. They couldn’t man up then, and they sure aren’t manning up now.
Just know the Elon Musk variation of “The Twitter Files” will be on a single sheaf of paper. More importantly, any GOP attempt to field a similar fundraiser for a minority Republican candidate will be greeted with endless references to Hitler and the KKK.

The Kamala Harris campaign is focusing like a laser beam on single women.
That is the absolute definition of her campaign. She&#8217;s going to try to run up the gender gap to the highest levels ever seen in the history of American politics, not on the back of married women, but on the back of single ladies.
There&#8217;s a fascinating piece from the American Enterprise Institute circa 2023 by Samuel J. Abrams, who is a professor of politics at Sarah Lawrence College, and Joel Kotkin, the executive director of the Urban Reform Institute.
Here’s what <a href="https://www.aei.org/articles/the-rise-of-the-single-woke-and-young-democratic-female/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">they say</a> in terms of American politics: 
<blockquote>Unmarried women without children have been moving toward the Democratic Party for several years, but the 2022 midterms may have been their electoral coming-out party as they proved the chief break on the predicted Republican wave. While married men and women as well as unmarried men broke for the GOP, CNN exit polls found that 68% of unmarried women voted for Democrats. </blockquote>
That is, in fact, its own voter bloc. Those are percentages equivalent in their magnitude to what you would perceive as a giant, self-interested voter bloc: single ladies. 
The number of unmarried women in American society has dramatically <a href="https://www.aei.org/articles/the-rise-of-the-single-woke-and-young-democratic-female/#:~:text=The%20number%20of%20never%20married,in%201976%20to%2021%25%20today." target="_blank" rel="noopener">increased</a> over the course of the past several decades. The number of never-married women grew from about 20% in 1950 to over 30% in 2022, and the percentage of married women has declined from almost 70% in 1950 to under 50% today. 
Single ladies have decided that they are their own voter bloc. Pew recently <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2020/08/20/a-profile-of-single-americans/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">found</a>, “Men are far more likely than women to be on the dating market: 61% of single men say they are currently looking for a relationship or dates, compared with 38% of single women.”
And while married men and married women are far more likely than unmarried females to think that women are well-treated or equally treated, it turns out that younger, discontented single women are developing something of a group consciousness, according to Abrams and Kotkin.
They <a href="https://www.aei.org/articles/the-rise-of-the-single-woke-and-young-democratic-female/#:~:text=The%20number%20of%20never%20married,in%201976%20to%2021%25%20today." target="_blank" rel="noopener">state,</a> “Nearly two-thirds of women under 30 see what happens to other women as critical to their own lives. Among women over 50, this mindset shrinks to less than half.”
In other words, if you are an older, married woman, you tend to see yourself in the context of your family. And if you&#8217;re an unmarried, young single woman, you tend to see a certain level of female solidarity, which makes some sense because when you are a single, somewhat-atomized individual of any sort, you tend to try to find a community of like-minded people.

As that ideology and constituency grows, it tends to form its own voter bloc. As AEI <a href="https://www.aei.org/articles/the-rise-of-the-single-woke-and-young-democratic-female/#:~:text=The%20number%20of%20never%20married,in%201976%20to%2021%25%20today." target="_blank" rel="noopener">writes</a>, “The key driver of these attitudes may be universities, where feminist ideology often holds powerful sway. Women now predominate on college campuses. In the late 1960s they were about 39% of college graduates; now they are about 59%. The percentage of full-time female professors has risen dramatically; at the full professor level the percentage has grown by roughly one-third.”
Abrams and Kotkin cite the National Center for Education Statistics’ research, explaining that “the number of Women and Gender Studies degrees in the United States has increased by more than 300% since 1990.”
“Married people account for 77% of all homeowners,” they continue. “Married women tend also to do far better professionally and economically.” Meanwhile, in terms of the rate of marriage, “those without spouses have declined by 15% over the past four decades.” And single-parent households do far worse than that. 
It turns out that, economically speaking, married women tend to do better than single women.
So what you have here is a disaffected constituency which the Democratic Party is honing in on like a laser beam.
The campaign is trying to find white men who are going to pay homage to Kamala Harris as a woman to make all the single ladies feel really good. And then they&#8217;re trying to find white women who are willing to pay homage to Harris as a black woman.
This is full intersectionality on display in the Harris campaign. If you like what you&#8217;re seeing in the campaign, get ready for that in the presidency. Intersectionality is the theory that everyone is describable by their group characteristics, and we can then rank how we ought to treat people based on their level of victimization, based on those group characteristics.
For example, they will argue white women are more victimized than white men. Black women are more victimized than white women. That means that a white woman can&#8217;t speak to a black woman and a white man can&#8217;t speak to a white woman. If you like that in the campaign, get ready for that in the presidency because this is absolutely what the Harris candidacy stands for.
On Monday night, the Harris campaign met with a group called White Dudes for Kamala. Roughly 30,000 men showed up on this Zoom call.
This was not a group of people who were just supportive of Harris. It was a struggle session in which white dudes declared themselves subservient to both women and also to black women because this is the essence of intersectionality. Every speaker was an upper-class, college-educated or extraordinarily wealthy <a href="https://twitter.com/EndWokeness/status/1818092480832606235" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hollywood liberal</a> who talked about how, because of their privilege, they had to demonstrate to the world that Harris was the candidate for them — not because she is well-qualified, not because she is amazing at her job, and not because they agree with her policies, but because it is just so important based on intersectional characteristics to support Kamala Harris.
They were simping for Kamala.
What was this White Dudes for Kamala about? It was certainly not about reaching out to white dudes. It was about reaching out to single ladies. It was about establishing a hierarchy within the Kamala Harris campaign where white dudes are going to come on, Game of Thrones style, on bended-knee, to <a href="https://twitter.com/EndWokeness/status/1818087701507178851" target="_blank" rel="noopener">plead for their lives</a> in the Kingdom of Kamala.
This isn&#8217;t about driving male votes out. This is about driving female votes out. The reason for that is because Kamala Harris has only one issue where she has an advantage against Donald Trump.
She&#8217;s running behind him on the economy. She&#8217;s running behind him on immigration. She&#8217;s running behind him on foreign policy. She&#8217;s running behind him on pretty much everything crime-related.
There&#8217;s one area where she&#8217;s consistently running ahead of Donald Trump: abortion.
The entire Harris campaign is going to be about lady parts and abortion.
And you need to pay homage to Kamala Harris because she is a woman.

Last July 4th seemed like the least patriotic birthday America has ever had. In many cities, parades were dismal or non-existent, fireworks were banned, and the American flag was hard to find. 
Once the world’s most powerful symbol of triumph, it has been torn down by Americans who believe it is instead a bigoted reminder of a hateful history. With the immense power that 2024 holds on the future of this national divide, it is imperative to remind each American citizen why the colors of our flag are still worth celebrating.
America has defined freedom for 248 years. She has fought against oppression and regulation, against tyranny and evil. She has defended the liberties of speech and religion, the gifts of open trade and innovation, the rights of life and innocence, and the ability to not only pursue happiness, but to define it for oneself. America has sent her own men to fight for not only the freedom of her citizens, but also for that of strangers.
Freedom is the American identity. It is the pride in this identity which wraps itself in another word: Patriotism. This spirit has endured every challenge of our nation’s lifetime. Patriotism fortifies delicate liberty. “A republic, if you can keep it;” her strength must be ceaselessly reinforced.
But patriotism, it seems, has gone out of style. In its place has emerged a form of tyranny disguised in a quintessentially American shade of blue. A record low number of Americans are proud to be American.
The so-called ‘fight for freedom’ has begun to rot its own definition.
The misuse of these words is changing our national identity. A fight for freedom is not a fight for rights, as the Left has decided to define it. Many aspects of the American life are freedoms, not rights. Education is a freedom, not a right. The ability to choose which doctor to go to is a freedom, not a right. When the government tries to make something a right, it steals whatever freedom it began with. Forcing businesses to hire people based on their skin color takes away the mechanisms which allow them to thrive and grow. No one has a right to be hired. Rather, everyone has the freedom to seek out employment and do whatever is so required to be a desirable employee. The excellence of America lies where these freedoms meet. The freedom to pursue excellence is what it means to be an American.
To risk true freedom in an effort to establish the rights of some is a step proven dangerous by history. French philosopher and judge Montesquieu declared that “the liberty of one citizen is of greater importance to the public than the ease or prosperity of another.”
If we preserve special treatment for some, we take it away from others. Montesquieu reminds us that the only true freedom comes from liberty. No one has a right to success or special privilege, but true freedom provides everyone with the chance to try. Patriotism has always been the glue of America, and it still comes in all three colors. Neither red, nor white, nor blue is more important than the others. Together, they preserve freedom. Divided, they cannot stand. Today, our flag is still flying. That is enough to invoke celebration and pride. Every casket it has ever draped demands as much.
America is the only country in the world to which people choose to move. They risk their lives and leave their families in a bid to buy into the world’s greatest pursuit of liberty. To live as an American is to live with the freedom to become anything. That is a freedom worth celebrating.
For all the talk about privilege in this country — white privilege, male privilege, hetero-privilege — let us not forget that being an American is the greatest privilege of all.

A black man from New Jersey was charged in federal court with threats after allegedly planning a mass murder of white people, who he said were privileged.
In December 2022, federal prosecutors say Joshua Cobb wrote online that he wanted &#8220;to cause mayhem on the white community,&#8221; according to <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-nj/media/1351741/dl?inline">court records filed late last week</a>.
&#8220;The reason i specifically want to target white people is because as a black male, they will NEVER understand my struggles,&#8221; Cobb wrote, according to the prosecutors. &#8220;Same way I will never understand their struggles, but I don&#8217;t care to. I want to erase them. All of them really, but in this case as many as I possibly can.&#8221; Cobb added that he had &#8220;officially began planning my attack&#8221; to occur in New Jersey during &#8220;an important holiday to their race,&#8221; and that he had &#8220;already acquired 2 of the 4 firearms I plan to use for my attack.&#8221;
The next year, Cobb attended Marine Corps basic training in South Carolina. He was stationed at the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California this year.
In April 2024, FBI agents interviewed Cobb on base and he &#8220;provided detailed information on three locations he chose as possible targets for his attack,&#8221; and said he &#8220;continued to have homicidal ideations and still harbored feelings of contempt towards those whom he perceived as privileged white people.&#8221;
Cobb was arrested Friday, May 10, and was also discharged from the Marine Corps that day, according to court affidavits. He was charged with transmitting threats in interstate commerce, which could bring up to five years in prison. According to court records, he is being held in jail and is represented by a public defender.
He allegedly told investigators that one location he targeted was a gym or a grocery store, where &#8220;you just see all these f&#8212;ing rich-ass white people,&#8221; or simply a &#8220;rich white area and just like start shooting. That was like all my little ideologies.&#8221;
He said he had access to weapons through &#8220;my boy&#8221; since &#8220;it&#8217;s no secret guns are in bad areas.&#8221;
When the FBI told him it was confiscating his cell phone, he said, &#8220;this is why people like me shoot people.&#8221;
The military has struggled with recruiting and talent after the Biden administration <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-admin-opposes-merit-based-military-promotions-wants-provisions-for-race-and-gender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fought efforts</a> to promote based on merit rather than race.
It was slated to spend $270 million on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bidens-pentagon-slated-to-spend-nearly-270-million-on-diversity-agenda" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DEI programs</a> over three years, and has faced severely <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/army-stats-show-precipitous-drop-off-in-white-recruits-and-some-blame-conservative-media" target="_blank" rel="noopener">waning interest</a> from white, blue-collar men as the military put on events like <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/air-force-includes-drag-show-in-woke-diversity-festival-at-langley" target="_blank" rel="noopener">drag shows</a>.
Perhaps no federal agency has embraced radical and divisive rhetoric as the Department of Veterans Affairs, even though its workforce is disproportionately black. The agency said, pursuant to a Joe Biden equity directive, that it wants <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-admin-wants-more-black-veterans-declared-mentally-disabled-in-the-name-of-equity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more black veterans to be declared mentally disabled</a> so that they could receive government checks — even though black vets already get those disability checks at twice the rates of whites.

In recent years, the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/u-s-military" target="_blank" rel="noopener">U.S. military</a> has been plagued by lackluster recruitment across the board as it struggles to attract a new generation of soldiers to serve in the armed forces, and if called on, to go to war. 
What is driving the military’s recruitment woes? While both the lack of patriotism among young Americans and the growing obesity among the country’s youth are contributing factors, much of the recruitment problem is likely self-inflicted. In recent years, military leadership has alienated key recruiting demographics by instituting vaccine mandates, promoting anti-white sentiments, and pushing other woke initiatives. 
Here are six of the contributing factors to the military’s falling recruitment numbers: 
<h2>Vax Mandate</h2>
Under President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a>, the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pentagon" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pentagon</a> instituted a COVID vaccine mandate across all branches of the military, which <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2023/01/10/pentagon-drops-covid-19-vaccine-mandate-for-troops-00077364" target="_blank" rel="noopener">led to the expulsion</a> of over 8,000 service members. While this mandate was eventually revoked, the armed forces are still reeling from the mandate, which likely deterred many young and healthy Americans to choose a different career path.
Young men, of whom make up the bulk of the active duty service members, may have been especially hesitant to get the jab because of<a href="https://www.heart.org/en/news/2022/09/06/myocarditis-from-covid-19-booster-rare-but-risk-highest-among-teen-boys-young-men" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> data indicating</a> that the shot could be associated with myocarditis in their demographic.
Other potential recruits may have had religious, medical, or ethical objections to taking the jab. 
“If you are sitting in the state of Georgia or Texas and you see they are putting 40,000 members out, you are going to scratch your head a bit and say, ‘why would I join up?’” a <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2022/07/27/lawmakers-pentagon-military-recruiting-00048286" target="_blank" rel="noopener">former senior</a> Department of Defense official said back in September. “And if you don’t want to get vaccinated, you are certainly not going to join.”
<h2>Anti-White Sentiment</h2>
In recent years, statements from military leadership appear to show  a growing animosity toward white people. This presents a problem, not just because it&#8217;s morally wrong to judge someone based on skin color, but because <a href="https://www.statista.com/statistics/214869/share-of-active-duty-enlisted-women-and-men-in-the-us-military/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">about</a> 70% of active duty military men are white, according to recent statistics.
This disdain is seen in comments from top military brass, including Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff Mark Milley who infamously said he wanted to study “white rage.”
The Department of Defense’s former top DEI officer for education, Kelisa Wing, also took aim at white people in comments on social media before she decided to resign months after the comments emerged.
&#8220;I&#8217;m exhausted with these white folx in these [professional development] sessions,” <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/woke-department-defense-equity-chief-writes-anti-white-posts-exhausted-white-folx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">she said</a> in June 2020. &#8220;[T]his lady actually had the CAUdacity to say that black people can be racist too… I had to stop the session and give Karen the BUSINESS… [W]e are not the majority, we don&#8217;t have power.”
&#8220;I am exhausted by 99% of the white men in education and 95% of the white women. Where can I get a break from white nonsense for a while?” another social media post from Wing said.
According to Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), dozens of servicemen <a href="https://www.defenseone.com/policy/2021/06/hundreds-troops-complain-about-woke-racism-extremism-training-cotton-claims/174672/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">have also</a> complained about training emphasizing white privilege, systematic racism, being an “anti-racist,” and police brutality. It was also <a href="https://www.govexec.com/media/gbc/docs/pdfs_edit/memorandum_for_recordv2jb.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a> that the phrase “all lives matter” was frowned upon.
In light of this, potential recruits have to ask themselves if they are willing to fight for an institution that appears to judge them based on their skin color.
<h2>Sexual Identity Politics</h2>
In addition to stoking racial division, the military  has also moved to fully embrace the sexual revolution.
Examples of the military’s adoption of sexual identitarian politics include: an Air Force base in Germany <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/air-force-base-cancels-drag-queen-story-hour-event-after-public-outcry" target="_blank" rel="noopener">scheduling (and later canceling)</a> a drag queen story hour, an aircraft carrier <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/18/politics/gilday-defends-non-binary-sailor/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">having</a> an LGBTQ spoken word night, and the full-fledged embrace of transgender ideology by certain segments of the military.
During the so-called “Trans Day of Visibility” last month the<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/navy-urges-americans-to-be-an-ally-as-biden-admin-promotes-transgenderism" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Naval Sea Systems Command criticized</a> states that have banned sex change surgeries for kids and urged Americans to be an “ally” of trans-identifying people. Also in March, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pentagon-doctors-back-child-sex-changes-blast-red-states" target="_blank" rel="noopener">two Pentagon doctors backed</a> child sex changes in an article for the American Journal of Public Health.
On top of pushing radical gender ideology, the military announced <a href="https://www.military.com/daily-news/2023/02/16/military-cover-travel-costs-and-offer-leave-troops-seeking-abortions-fertility-treatment.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">it would pay</a> for abortion tourism for women in the military. Currently, the Veterans Affairs administration <a href="https://townhall.com/tipsheet/rebeccadowns/2023/04/20/tuberville-resolution-on-va-abortions-n2622193" target="_blank" rel="noopener">is fighting</a> Republicans over whether Veterans Affairs clinics can provide abortions.
Asking young men and women from America’s heartland to sign on to these progressive cultural policies as a condition of their service may be a bridge too far.
<h2>Shoddy Treatment of Veterans</h2>
The Veterans Affairs administration has long been dogged with accusations of corruption, ineptitude, and mismanagement. These criticisms have been especially potent as the suicide rate among veterans has remained sky-high coupled with the fact that thousands of veterans are now homeless.
According to various reports, many veterans have been <a href="https://www.kare11.com/article/news/investigations/kare-11-investigates-veterans-denied-care-and-benefits-after-misdiagnosis/89-8241f99b-52d5-4f50-874f-3cdb790c94f0">denied care</a>, even as federal investigators have found that the VA has <a href="https://osc.gov/News/Pages/20-07-VA-Wasted-223-Million.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wasted</a> millions of taxpayer dollars. While incompetence seems to be a theme of the department meant to care for the nation’s veterans, an <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/washington/testimony/2022/t20220615.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">estimated</a> 17 veterans commit suicide every day.
While the VA struggles with scandals and meets with<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/navy-urges-americans-to-be-an-ally-as-biden-admin-promotes-transgenderism" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> trans-identifying activists</a>, <a href="https://www.va.gov/homeless/pit_count.asp#:~:text=end%20of%202021.-,The%20January%202022%20PIT%20Count,full%20PIT%20Count%20was%20conducted." target="_blank" rel="noopener">there </a>are thousands of homeless veterans. A recent estimate from about a year ago put this number at over 30,000. Those willing to die for their country should be ensured that they will be taken care of when they return home. 

<h2>Denigration of American History</h2>
Pentagon leaders have also shown a growing disregard for American history, one that has begun with a purge of anything linked to the Confederacy. Some are concerned the purge is likely to expand to the Founding Fathers.
Back in October, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin <a href="https://www.defense.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/3259966/dod-begins-implementation-of-naming-commission-recommendations/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">signed off</a> on the recommendations of an independent naming commission to completely remove any reference to any person or idea linked to the Confederacy.
This includes the removal of a large bronze monument tucked away in Arlington National Cemetery known as the Confederate Monument. The monument, which was designed by a prominent Jewish American sculptor, is at the center of the graves of Confederate soldiers. It was widely seen as a <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/01/18/removing-the-confederate-memorial-from-arlington-cemetery-what-would-lincoln-and-grant-think/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">symbol of reconciliation</a> in a war that took the lives of over 600,000 Americans on both sides and left the South in ruins.
To signify its meaning of peace, the monument references Isaiah 2:4, which talks about turning swords into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks, a powerful message for a nation recovering from the trauma of war. Up to the present day, many presidents, <a href="https://www.arlingtoncemetery.mil/Explore/Monuments-and-Memorials/Confederate-Memorial" target="_blank" rel="noopener">including Barack Obama</a>, had sent flowers to the monument on Memorial Day.
However, this symbol of peace, in a far corner of Arlington, must go and taxpayers will pay for the removal. It may only be a matter of time before the military decides that the bodies around the monument must go too (see <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/city-digs-up-remains-of-confederate-general-after-taking-down-statue" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Richmond’s treatment of A.P. Hill</a>). 
In similar fashion, the Navy <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/navy-removes-name-of-oceanographic-pioneer-from-ship-over-confederate-ties" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recently announced</a> that it would be renaming a ship named for oceanographic pioneer Matthew Fontaine Maury because of Maury’s ties to the Confederacy during the later years of his life.
Despite being more known for his innovations in oceanography than ties to the Confederacy in the final years of his life, Maury, known as the “Pathfinder of the Seas,” also needed to go.
All these changes and more will cost taxpayers over $60 million.
This approach to our nation’s history is off-putting to many young Americans who expect those in leadership to honor our shared, albeit imperfect past.
<h2>Questioning The Mission Of The U.S. Military</h2>
Another element likely contributing to the recruiting crisis is an increasing lack of confidence in what kind of wars the U.S. will be engaged in. The war in Afghanistan, which lasted over 20 years, resulted in thousands of Americans dying or being severely handicapped, and seemed to bring little result after Biden’s hasty retreat.
Was the war about democracy or fighting radical Islamic terrorism? The goals seemed to shift and the ultimate objective appeared to be vaguely defined. In 2021, the Taliban quickly took back the country and seemingly erased in a matter of days the work that American soldiers had bled for over 20 years. 
Today, there are questions about whether the U.S. will expand its role in the war between Russia and Ukraine or if tensions with China will escalate into a shooting war. Recruits should be asking themselves whether they would be willing to die for Ukraine or Taiwan.
With the increasing lack of confidence in American institutions, many potential recruits, disillusioned by the Left-wing takeover of the military, will be less likely to sign up to serve leaders they see as corrupt.
UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell likely summarized the position of many Americans when he <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/03/09/ufc-fighter-bryce-mitchell-says-evil-has-taken-over-america-and-we-aint-afraid-of-it/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Tucker Carlson in March 2022 that while he wouldn’t fight in the Russia-Ukraine war, he would defend his state. “I’m just not wanting to go waste my life fighting for some of these battles that I don’t even believe in,” Mitchell said. “I believe our leaders, a lot of these elites are guilty of treason. What they’ve done is just treasonous.”
If war came to Arkansas, Mitchell said his response would be dramatically different. “I will dig my boots in the ground, and I will die for everything I love. And I will not retreat,” he said. 
None of this is meant to denigrate the millions of Americans who have honorably served in the military over the last 250 years, but military brass should be held accountable for its kowtowing to the Left on issues from racial prejudice to sexual politics, only alienating those it needs to attract to protect the nation.

“White Fragility” author Robin DiAngelo offered a separatist proposition in which she advocated for racial segregation, prompting conservatives to note that “Dilbert” creator Scott Adams was vilified and <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/scott-adams-dilbert-newspapers-cancelled-comic-strip/">reportedly lost</a> 80% of his income after making essentially the same proposition but from the opposite perspective.
Adams had <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/story/2023-02-28/scott-adams-dilbert-cancellation-racism-remarks">reacted</a> to a Rasmussen Reports poll that asked whether people agreed with the statement “It’s OK to be white.” 26% of black respondents disagreed and 21% said they were not sure, prompting Adams to state, “If nearly half of all blacks are not OK with white people &#8230; that’s a hate group.”
“And I don’t want anything to do with them,” Adams continued. “And based on how things are going, the best advice I could give to white people is to get the hell away from black people. Just get the f*** away. Wherever you have to go, just get away. ’Cause there’s no fixing this. This can’t be fixed.”
Adams later defended himself, saying, “The trick is just to use my quote and to ignore the context which I helpfully added afterwards,” adding that his two main points were “treat all individuals as individuals, no discrimination” and “avoid anything that statistically looks like a bad idea for you personally.”
DiAngelo was speaking on a group chat when she declared that she was “a big believer in affinity space and affinity work, and I think people of color need to get away from white people and have some community with each other. And I’ll let that go and maybe see if anyone else wants to pick it up.”
Anti-woke warrior Christopher Rufo noted the incongruity, writing, “It&#8217;s amazing that, for an entire year, the libs scrambled to find their moral voice and settled on Ibram Kendi and Robin DiAngelo, who turned out to be two of the greatest midwits of our time.”

‘White Fragility’ Author Champions Segregation. ‘Dilbert’ Creator Lost Career For Saying The Same Thing.

A California emergency room doctor out for a ride on his mountain bike was allegedly murdered Wednesday by a man who police said struck him from behind with his vehicle, then jumped out and repeatedly stabbed him while, according to a witness, decrying &#8220;white privilege.&#8221;
The shocking attack on Dr. Michael John Mammone, 58, was caught on grim Ring doorbell video at around 3 p.m. in Dana Point. Mammone was riding his bike along Pacific Coast Highway when he was struck from behind by a vehicle allegedly driven by Vanroy Evan Smith, 39. Bystanders detained Smith after he had allegedly stabbed Mammone, who was taken to a hospital where he later died. A neighbor near the scene told <a href="https://abc7.com/dana-point-bicyclist-crash-car/12762803/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ABC7</a> she heard the attacker muttering racial slurs regarding “white privilege.”
“A vehicle approached a cyclist at this intersection, struck him, launched him into the intersection,” Sgt. Mike Woodroof of the Orange County Sheriff&#8217;s Department <a href="https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/bicyclist-struck-by-car-stabbed-pch-dana-point/3087157/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stated</a>. “At that point, the suspect drove around the victim, exited his vehicle, went back to the victim and continued to assault the victim.”
The windshield of the vehicle Smith was allegedly driving was reported shattered.
“At this time, there is no known connection between the suspect and the victim. Investigators will work to determine what led to this incident,&#8221; the Orange County Sheriff’s Department <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=559941129496576&amp;set=pb.100064420824487.-2207520000.&amp;type=3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stated</a>.
Mammone, who received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, worked at Providence Mission Hospital in Laguna Beach. The hospital released a statement mourning the doctor&#8217;s death.
“We are stunned by this devastating tragedy,&#8221; the statement said. &#8220;The entire Mission Hospital family is grieving over the loss of an incredible physician and friend. We will honor Dr. Mammone’s dedication to our community and passion for medicine by continuing to provide exceptional care.&#8221;
Mammone and his wife Julie, a nurse at the hospital where he worked, had two sons. She told <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11709283/Doctor-cycling-Pacific-Coast-Highway-mowed-Lexus-stabbed-death-driver.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Mail</a> that it was a “really difficult time” for the family after her husband’s death.
Dr. Dawn Aatwal, a cardiologist at Providence Mission Hospital, noted to <a href="https://www.foxla.com/news/oc-doctor-killed-pch-dana-point" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox 11 </a>that Mammone “saved so many lives here,” adding, “That&#8217;s the irony of this whole thing. If a patient was brought in his condition he would have done everything he could to save that person.”
According to <a href="https://heavy.com/news/vanroy-evan-smith/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Heavy.com</a>, Smith stated on his Facebook page in 2021, “How do you justify forgiveness? It is pardoning yourself by pardoning others. Our pains have grown us, and now we are all stronger, wiser, more civilized &#8230;”

According to a test provided to students and teachers by a Wisconsin school district, it appears <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-7-generation-d-egenerate-homewrecking-model-claims-she-is-the-victim-after-alleged-affair-with-adam-levine-2">I have white privilege</a>.
This comes as a surprise to me too, for various reasons, but the most obvious being that I am not white. I am black.
I thought it’d be fitting to take one of these “white privilege tests,” which are so rampant in schools, for two reasons. One, to demonstrate how ridiculous and detrimental Critical Race Theory-inspired tests can be for children. And two, to highlight how important it is, as midterms barrel closer, to vote against progressive candidates and school boards.
It is humorous when I take a ridiculous “white privilege” test and poke holes in leftist agendas. It becomes less funny, though, when you realize tests like this one are affecting our children’s innocent and often race-less worldview, encouraging them to look at their Caucasian friends negatively, and to view their own race as something that is lesser.
This is especially impactful for me, as I have a child who will be school age in the next several years.
The first question on the test asked whether I could arrange for, or be in the company of people who were my own race. To which I responded, “yes.” Because I think everybody can choose who they want to be friends with, correct? It seems odd, and potentially racist, that this would even be a focus.
The second question asked whether, when I move to a new place, “I can be positive and confident that neighbors will be neutral or pleasant to me.” I answered “yes” here as well. Again, the question is strange. If they were talking about noisy or annoying neighbors, maybe I’d have answered “no.” There are always bothersome neighbors.
The third question asked whether “I worry about being followed to the grocery store if I’m walking there alone.” For the third time, my answer was “yes.” Are they talking about race here? Or, about simply living in a more rough or impoverished neighborhood? It’s unclear.
“I can turn on the television, or the newspaper, and see people of my race widely represented.” This is the fourth question. Again, I answered “yes.” All the time now, I see black individuals and minorities represented in commercials, TV shows, and movies. It seems like it’s a requirement at this point for casting directors and producers. Turns out the black community does have something to thank blue haired woke scolds for. 
The fifth question was a confusing one. It asked if “I could speak in public to a powerful male group, without putting my race on trial.” I do not know what a “powerful male group” is, or what specifically they are referring to here; I checked “yes” because I have no experience with my race being put on trial when speaking to “powerful male groups,” whatever that means.
And the last and final question: “I am never asked to speak for my entire racial group.” We know the answer here for me. I’m often told by others that I cannot and should not speak for the black community, being the “Uncle Tom” or “white supremacist” that I am. So, I went ahead and answered “yes” to the last question as well. 
Apparently, six affirmative answers to these questions proves that I have white privilege.
