A woke, taxpayer-funded exhibit in England claims the Care Bears toys are LGBT icons, describing one of the beloved children&#8217;s characters as &#8220;transgender or gender fluid.&#8221; 
“Funshine Bear is our yellow bear with a smiling sun in his belly, and is considered to be transgender or gender fluid,” the exhibit <a href="https://villiers.digital-exhibition.uk/">claimed</a>, arguing that the character was voiced by female actors before 2004 and by male actors afterward. 
“Bears like True Love Bear … and others, disrupt gender norms through their expression of their true selves but are accepted regardless,” the museum stated. “This enables children and adults to realize that regardless of their identity, sexuality, or self-expression — they are loved.&#8221;
The Care Bears were also praised for their “deep association with symbols such as the rainbow — which became a symbol for the queer community in 1978.”
The exhibit drew criticism from family advocacy organizations. 
“Taxpayers should not be funding such blatant attempts to sexualize children’s toys and promote false gender ideology,” the Family Education Trust <a href="https://x.com/FamEdTrust/status/2081463243365605477">said</a> in an X post. 

The Care Bear display was part of a larger exhibition <a href="https://www.cultureleicestershire.co.uk/projects/villiers-revealed-welcome-to-our-virtual-exhibition/george-villiers/">exploring</a> historical figures and artifacts through a modern LGBT lens, including George Villiers, whom the exhibition claimed would be considered &#8220;queer&#8221; today because he was the &#8220;favorite&#8221; gay lover of King James I. 
The exhibit claimed Villiers is a “reminder that LGBTQ+ life and love isn’t a side story in history, but it shapes history. A history we all inherit and can explore together,” and promoted a “powerful exploration” of reclaiming queer icons that experienced “bi and pan erasure” throughout history by the British Empire. 
The Care Bears were in the Villiers Revealed Student Gallery, where University of Nottingham student volunteers found objects in the museum collections “having queer resonance.” Among the other selections were coins of Emperor Hadrian, whom the museum described as “an openly queer figure,” a portrait of a mermaid, praised by transgender-identifying people for their “ability to transform,” and dolls, criticized because they “uphold patriarchal values and are either forced upon or forbidden to gender non-conforming children.”
The Telegraph <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/07/26/some-teddy-bears-are-trans-says-taxpayer-backed-arts-group/">notes</a> that the display has been made digital because, according to its creator John Sleigh, “some people simply aren’t ready or able to access queer spaces physically.”
Elena Kucharik, the American illustrator who created the original Care Bears, has never confirmed the characters as transgender or LGBT symbols. After creating the franchise, she went on to illustrate Tyndale House&#8217;s Christian children&#8217;s series &#8220;Little Blessings.&#8221;

Elon Musk lit the fuse and didn’t look back.
In a blistering face-off with The Economist Editor-in-Chief Zanny Minton Beddoes, the world’s richest man brushed off claims he’s widely despised and flipped the script, insisting it’s the media that’s truly hated.
After Beddoes criticized him for his involvement in European politics, saying, “Why should you be able to shape European politics? You don&#8217;t even live there,” Musk responded mildly, “I think of it as sort of the West collectively.”
“But do you see why this makes people think that this man who has all this power, he&#8217;s the world&#8217;s richest man, he thinks he has a right to influence our politics,” Beddoes pressed. “It makes people, it&#8217;s why, you know, we started this conversation saying superlatives. It&#8217;s why people loathe you. I mean, some people do loathe you.”
Musk then took the gloves off: “Yes, some people do. &#8230; Maybe some people do loathe me, and that&#8217;s probably true. I don&#8217;t care. But the fact that as you pointed out, a quarter billion people follow me is that I think a lot more people actually like me than don&#8217;t. And I think a lot more people hate you and the media more than you realize. Do you realize the media is despised?”
“The shoe is on the other foot,” Musk said, citing rock-bottom trust in journalism. “They hate you far more than they hate me.”
Beddoes had challenged Musk over his vocal support for what she described as far-Right parties across Europe. Musk rejected the label outright, arguing he’s simply backing “normal people” and mainstream policies like border security, safe cities, and controlled spending.
“What you call the far-Right falsely … these were completely normal positions 10 or 15 years ago,” he said, accusing critics of rewriting the political center.
He also took direct aim at journalists, warning that their portrayal of Right-leaning movements as extremist is “false and misleading and nonsense.”
The clash intensified over Musk’s repeated warnings about the United Kingdom — including his claim that “civil war in Britain is inevitable.” Beddoes pushed back hard, citing falling crime rates and her own experience living in London, calling Musk’s depiction exaggerated and harmful.
Musk stood firm.
“If current trends continue, it is,” he said, pointing to what he described as a growing population with values “antithetical to the West,” which he believes will inevitably spark conflict.
The two also sparred over free speech, with Musk condemning European governments for prosecuting social media posts and warning that censorship is a growing threat.
“That’s the sort of thing that I think is bad,” he said, while accusing the media of ignoring these issues.

Powerball launched UK ticket sales on Tuesday, allowing British players to join the lottery and outraging American players who could see their money go into the pockets of people in a foreign country.
“This next step brings us closer to a thrilling milestone for Powerball,” Rebecca Paul, President &amp; CEO of the Tennessee Lottery, <a href="https://www.powerball.com/powerball-launch-set-in-the-uk-for-july-21-first-drawing-to-follow">said</a> in a statement. “More players means faster-growing jackpots, more excitement and even greater impact for the communities we serve.”
Powerball assured players that the price of the tickets and the odds would not be affected, as it will still be $2 to play in the United States. Additionally, the odds of choosing the five white ball numbers and the red Powerball number — the jackpot — will still be an astronomical 1 in 292.2 million.
The new Powerball pools American and British money only for the jackpot, ABC News <a href="https://www.abc10.com/article/news/nation-world/powerball-lottery-expands-uk-odds-winning/507-e400c4dc-28d7-46f4-b50d-d0e35e364095">reported</a>, and an American and U.K. player will have to split the winnings if they get the same numbers.
“More than half of each Powerball ticket sold stays in the jurisdiction where it is purchased, helping fund public programs and services, including education, scholarships, veteran services and more,” Powerball said.
British players have to pay more for each ticket — £4, which is about $5.35 — the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/07/23/us-news/powerball-players-outraged-over-lotterys-historic-expansion-abroad-rigged-anyway/">reported</a>. Additionally, the prize is post-tax for U.K. players, and they must receive the jackpot in installments over 30 years, whereas American players can choose to receive a lump-sum payout. 
In return, British players win more for the smaller prizes. A player in the United Kingdom can win £11.90 ($15) — by matching the Powerball alone, whereas American players only win $4. Additionally, U.K. gamblers can win around £1,100 ($1,470) for matching four of the main numbers — while players in the United States only win $100 for the same lucky draw.
News about the change has been met with overwhelming <a href="https://x.com/Breaking911/status/2079947106920349859">opposition</a> on social media.
“Holy crap. Powerball is now the lottery equivalent of USAID,” one person complained.
“My money will not go to allow a ‘UK Gang Rapist’ win millions outta luck,” another social media user stated, referencing an independent report commissioned by MP Rupert Lowe <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/michael-and-survivor-ep-40">detailing</a> how 250,000 white British girls and women have allegedly been raped by Muslim grooming gangs.
“Oh good. They’ve found another way to divert American funds to other places,” another person declared.
Many people have stated that they will be moving from the multi-state Powerball to single-state lotteries, where the odds of winning are better, and the money stays local.
A person is more likely to become president, be struck by lightning twice, be killed by a cow, or win an Olympic gold medal than to win the Powerball jackpot, according to <a href="https://www.oklahoman.com/story/news/2025/09/04/powerball-odds-these-15-things-are-more-likely-to-happen-than-winning/85970333007/">The Oklahoman</a>.

Self-described socialist Andy Burnham promised to establish a “new economic model” as he officially became the prime minister of the United Kingdom on Monday. 
Burnham said in his first speech as prime minister that he would seek to implement a “new economic model” and make politics more &#8220;collaborative.&#8221; Becoming the seventh prime minister since 2016, Burnham said he hopes to bring stability to the United Kingdom.
“Britain needs to show the world that we can regain our stability once again. And that is our challenge, to make politics work, to make it work better. I know people at home are fed up with politics. I hear you, and I want to be honest with you. We have not been good enough, and we need to be better,” Burnham said. “We will be. We will make this moment a circuit breaker for Britain, bringing forward the biggest changes in the last 40 years, a new political model, and a new economic model.”
Burnham criticized policies made in the 1980s when he said that Britain “took some wrong turns.”
“Political power was centralized, economic power privatized, large parts of the country de-industrialized, and they still haven&#8217;t recovered,” he said. “Many feel as if they are still in decline and they don&#8217;t have the ability to turn things around. And that&#8217;s why we will change politics. To make it more collaborative, more about problem solving than point scoring.”
Burnham, the latest socialist politician to come to power, said he would “build a new economy, where we put life&#8217;s essentials back under stronger public control to make them affordable to you again” and claimed he would implement policies to reduce the cost of living. 
The 56-year-old former mayor of Greater Manchester <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clywzj2vk3zo">has said</a> he wants the government to take “greater public control” of water and electricity and wants more funding for “affordable” housing. 
Burnham’s road to becoming prime minister opened up last month after he won a seat in parliament and then secured the support of the Labour Party last week. He replaces Keir Starmer, who faced increasing pressure to step down amid scrutiny over the United Kingdom’s poor economy and cabinet ties to Jeffrey Epstein. 
President Donald Trump noted Sunday that Burnham has said he would open up the North Sea for oil drilling.

Andrew and Tristan Tate — the controversial brothers and &#8220;manosphere&#8221; influencers — were arrested in Miami on Saturday on a warrant in the United Kingdom.
The Tates are charged with a slew of crimes ranging from sexual assault and rape to human trafficking and possession of child pornography. The Tates were first arrested on similar charges in Romania in 2022, the beginning of an ongoing criminal saga for the pair, who rose to prominence with their flashy lifestyles and videos encouraging young men to be &#8220;alpha males.&#8221;
But who are Andrew and Tristan, exactly? How did they rise to prominence? And when did things start to go south?
Here&#8217;s everything you need to know about the Tate brothers.
<h3>A transatlantic beginning.</h3>
Andrew, 39, and Tristan, 38, were born to a British mother, Eileen, and an American Air Force sergeant and chess master, Emory Tate. They lived in the United States until their parents divorced, whereupon they returned to the United Kingdom with their mother. The pair also have a younger sister, Janine, about whom little is publicly available. Both Tate brothers hold dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Andrew Tate began kickboxing around 2005 and went on to win four world championships. Tristan also enjoyed mild success in kickboxing, but the pair soon moved on to more nefarious pursuits.
<h3>Big Brother is watching.</h3>
According to Andrew Tate, in 2014 he began <a href="https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2026/06/15/andrew-tates-empire-of-abuse">brainstorming</a> ways to make money, which was not coming in from kickboxing. Realizing that he &#8220;had about five girlfriends,&#8221; he decided to begin a webcam pornography business, beginning with just his &#8220;girlfriends&#8221; and eventually recruiting other women to &#8220;perform.&#8221; Tate claims that the business netted $100,000 in its first month. The brothers moved their webcam empire to Romania sometime between 2015 and 2017, where it took on a massive scale.

Those &#8220;outside activities&#8221; include some of the earliest allegations against the Tate brothers. Several women have <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cwyje823er4o">accused</a> the brothers of luring them to Romania on the promise of a romantic relationship, only to coerce them into performing for their webcam streams. At least two women have accused the Tate brothers of raping and physically assaulting them during this period, when Andrew Tate claims to have made more than half a million dollars a month and had 75 women working for him.
But by 2020, the webcam ring was shuttered. The Tates had a new venture, and it would be their biggest yet.
<h3>Into the Manosphere.</h3>
Around 2017, the Tates began pitching themselves as lifestyle gurus, teaching young men <a href="https://www.the-independent.com/tech/twitter-andrew-tate-raped-verify-kickboxer-b1996239.html">how to succeed in business</a> and romance. By 2020, that business had grown into Hustler&#8217;s University, an online community where, for $50 a month, men could learn from the Tate brothers. Or, for <a href="https://www.adl.org/resources/article/andrew-tate-five-things-know">$8,000 a year</a>, members could join the &#8220;War Room&#8221; for even more elite lessons.
Fueled by their social media posts depicting flashy cars, women, and all-around lavish living, the Tates developed a massive following, primarily among young men. The men who flocked to Tate&#8217;s courses learned that the way to make money and impress women was to behave like the Tates — that is, arrogant, flashy, and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/andrew-tates-filthy-grift?author=Ben+Shapiro&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Andrew+Tate%E2%80%99s+Filthy+Grift">rude to the women</a> they wanted to attract.

Following Hamas&#8217;s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, Tate began to express support for Palestinian terrorists, denied the Holocaust, and performed a Nazi salute, among other <a href="https://www.adl.org/resources/article/andrew-tate-five-things-know">antisemitic acts.</a>
Tate claimed that at its peak, Hustler&#8217;s University had 80,000 members, though that number has not been independently verified. In 2022, Tate closed Hustler&#8217;s University amid allegations that the program was really a <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/media/2022/aug/20/andrew-tate-money-making-scheme-for-fans-of-extreme-misogynist-closes">pyramid scheme.</a> It was the beginning of an avalanche of legal troubles that continue to this day.
<h3>On the run.</h3>
In 2022, Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested in Romania and charged with <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/12/30/andrew-tate-detained-romania-brothers-crime/">human trafficking.</a> They were placed under house arrest in early 2023 and remained under house arrest on and off until February 2025, when Romanian authorities <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/controversial-social-media-influencer-andrew-tate-returning-to-united-states?author=Zach+Jewell&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Controversial+Social+Media+Influencer+Andrew+Tate+Returning+To+United+States">lifted travel restrictions</a> on the brothers.

Controversial influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate on Saturday were arrested by federal officials in Miami pursuant to rape charges and an outstanding arrest warrant in the United Kingdom.
The Crown Prosecution Service last year charged Andrew Tate with 10 counts of crimes, including rape and human trafficking related to three women. His younger brother, Tristan, was charged with 11 counts of similar crimes tied to one woman. On Saturday, the Crown Prosecution Service announced additional counts for each brother, including 19 charges related to illegal child images and pornography for Andrew Tate.
“We can confirm the arrest of the Tate brothers today in Miami,” the U.S. Marshals Service said in a statement. “The warrant was sealed so we are unable to confirm the charges.” The office of Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier — who last year opened an investigation into the Tate brothers — confirmed to The Daily Wire that the pair were taken into custody on an arrest warrant from the United Kingdom.

I tried to fight back. He repeatedly strangled me every time I regained enough consciousness to pull at his arms. I’d prefer not to share the rest. It’s pretty obvious.&#8221;
Andrew and Tristan Tate have repeatedly denied all the allegations made against them.
The brothers, who hold dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom, moved to Romania in 2016 but returned to the United States last year as Romanian authorities investigated their activity. The United Kingdom is reportedly seeking to extradite the brothers.

King Charles III privately met with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their two children on Friday in what multiple reports described as the first family gathering since the royal rift erupted several years ago. 
NBC News <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/world/united-kingdom/king-charles-hosted-prince-harry-family-first-time-years-rift-rcna385893">reported</a> the king and Queen Camilla met with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet at Highgrove House country estate. The meeting came after years of public tensions that followed Harry and Meghan&#8217;s decision to step back from royal duties in 2020.
Relations deteriorated after Harry and Meghan&#8217;s 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, the couple&#8217;s Netflix documentary, and Harry&#8217;s memoir, &#8220;Spare,&#8221; all of which included criticism of the royal family. Harry has also remained estranged from his older brother, Prince William, according to multiple reports.
After losing his appeal over government-funded security in Britain last year, Harry told the BBC he hoped to reconcile with his family.
“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point continuing to fight anymore, life is precious,” Prince Harry said, insisting that the security argument has “always been the sticking point.” He also referenced his father&#8217;s cancer battle, saying he didn&#8217;t know how much time the king had left. 
Harry has visited the U.K. without his wife on multiple occasions in recent years, including for his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022 and his father’s coronation in 2023. 
British media have reported that Meghan and the children were vacationing in Portugal prior to the meeting outside London. British media reported that no photographs or video would be released.

Nigel Farage resigned his seat in Parliament this week, hoping voters would clear his name amid an ethics investigation. Instead, Britain&#8217;s populist leader now finds himself campaigning against Count Binface, a satirical candidate who wears a trash can on his head. 
Farage, leader of the surging Reform UK party, stepped down Tuesday as the member of Parliament for Clacton after Parliament&#8217;s standards watchdog opened an investigation into whether he improperly disclosed financial gifts from wealthy donors. Farage has denied any wrongdoing and insists the investigation is politically motivated.
Rather than wait for Parliament&#8217;s ethics process to play out, Farage triggered a by-election by resigning his seat, arguing that the people of Clacton — not what he calls Britain&#8217;s political establishment — should decide his political future. &#8220;I&#8217;ve decided the people of Clacton should be the judges of my actions,&#8221; Farage said. &#8220;I will fight to win. I will fight to continue the political revolution that Reform has started.&#8221;
The move immediately drew criticism across Britain&#8217;s political spectrum, with opponents accusing Farage of staging a political spectacle to distract from questions about his finances. Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the resignation a &#8220;desperate stunt,&#8221; while other Labour figures dismissed it as a gimmick intended to shift attention away from the investigation.

In an even more unusual twist, Britain&#8217;s major political parties have largely refused to participate in the by-election at all. Labour, the Conservatives, and the Liberal Democrats each announced they would not field candidates, arguing that Farage&#8217;s resignation should not be rewarded with a conventional campaign.
That decision has left Farage facing perhaps the most unconventional opponent imaginable: <a href="https://thelead.uk/count-binface">Count Binface</a>. The Count — an “intergalactic space warrior” and leader of the Recyclons, an alien species hailing from the planet Sigma IX — portrayed by comedian Jon Harvey, has become something of a fixture in British politics after repeatedly running against prime ministers and other high-profile politicians, all while wearing a silver cape and an oversized trash can helmet.

The satirical candidate has spent years running on comedic proposals such as forcing cyclists who repeatedly violate traffic laws to ride unicycles, building a singular affordable house, and nationalizing Adele. Now, however, his candidacy has suddenly taken on a more serious profile as anti-Farage voters search for the only viable alternative on the ballot. When asked if he could win, he replied, “Probably not, but then, my job is to celebrate and defend the wonders of British democracy.”
Farage&#8217;s allies argue the boycott demonstrates that Britain&#8217;s political establishment is afraid to confront the Reform leader directly. Reform UK chairman Zia Yusuf blasted the decision by the major parties as &#8220;cowardly and transparent,&#8221; <a href="https://x.com/ZiaYusufUK/status/2074846908187615650">writing on X</a> that &#8220;the establishment is on the ropes.&#8221;
The by-election comes as Reform UK continues to lead or closely contest national opinion polls, cementing Farage&#8217;s status as the dominant figure on Britain&#8217;s political Right despite never serving in government. Whether his decision ultimately strengthens that image remains to be seen.
What was intended as a populist referendum on Farage himself has instead produced one of the strangest electoral contests in recent British history, a race that may ultimately pit one of the country&#8217;s most polarizing politicians against an extraterrestrial with a garbage can for a helmet.

Let&#8217;s talk about this horrible case that we&#8217;ve been covering extensively for years: The grooming gang scandal in the U.K.
A new 219-page <a href="https://static1.squarespace.com/static/6810978a41bbc42489eafa81/t/6a314bb1151e511944bd4421/1781615537601/The+Rape+Gang+Inquiry+Report.pdf">report</a> has been released by British MP Rupert Lowe’s Restore Britain party.
It is worth noting that some of the evidence that is produced in this report is unverified; it&#8217;s similar to reading the Epstein files a little raw, meaning there may be allegations that have not been substantiated or checked out.
However, what is in this report is horrifying. According to the report:
<blockquote>Britain doesn&#8217;t have a racism problem. It has an immigration problem. &#8230; Believing proud nations to be responsible for the mid 20th century destruction of Europe, our postwar leaders embraced diversity and multiculturalism as the supposedly civilized alternative. This report establishes beyond any doubt that this &#8220;open society&#8221; obsession has, in fact, enabled untold barbarism of its own.

The report continues:
<blockquote>250,000 young white girls have been subjected to rape, gang rape, trafficking, torture, pregnancy, Islamic forced conversion, and lifelong trauma. &#8230; 87% of those convicted in these group-based child sexual exploitation cases bore distinctively Muslim names &#8230; far exceed[ing] the Muslim share of the overall United Kingdom population. (About 6.5%.) &#8230; Crimes occurred in at least 149 local authority districts — close to 40% of all such districts across the United Kingdom.</blockquote>
I&#8217;m not sure how those numbers were compiled or if every victim was listed. What we do know from police investigations is that the number is definitely into the thousands.
Whether it&#8217;s in the hundreds of thousands, I don&#8217;t know. What we do know is that the institutions catastrophically failed. This part of the report is absolutely 100% true:
<blockquote>Police forces ignored repeated reports, criminalized victims instead of perpetrators, destroyed evidence, and allowed known rapists to walk free on bail. Social services undermined protective parents, placed children in trafficking hubs inside children&#8217;s homes, closed cases despite clear indicators of exploitation, and retaliated against whistleblowers. 
The NHS recorded genital injuries, multiple sexually transmitted infections in children as young as 13, pregnancies caused by rape and suicide attempts, yet discharged victims back to their abusers without safeguarding referrals or trauma care. Schools observed older men collecting girls at the gates, heard disclosures of rape on school premises, and responded by excluding victims rather than protecting them.</blockquote>
The report unsurprisingly concludes that the perpetrators are overwhelmingly from Pakistani, Muslim, and other Muslim backgrounds. It states:
<blockquote>Perpetrators from Pakistani, Muslim, and other Muslim backgrounds operated under an honor- and shame-based clan code that treated non-Muslim girls, especially white working class girls, as property available for sexual use. This pattern was reinforced by eight theological and legal aspects of Islam. These include the doctrine of Muslim superiority drawn from Quranic verses that position Muslims at the top with a duty to correct non-believers. 
The gang members’ justification for their crimes can be found in the Islamic principle of loyalty and disavowal &#8230; It demands enmity toward non-Muslims, the superiority of men over women, forced marriage combined with the absence of any fixed minimum age of consent, the perception of female sexuality as inherently dangerous, a system of sex slavery that authorizes sexual relations with non-Muslim captives, and a religiously sanctioned social hierarchy that subjugates conquered non-Muslims.</blockquote>
These have been major problems throughout the Muslim Middle East and all over the world, including Western areas that have imported this stuff. There are people claiming that the report contains unverified allegations and exaggerations, but we don&#8217;t need that report to know what&#8217;s already been investigated. What happened in Rotherham affected over a thousand girls and involved legitimately dozens to hundreds of people; a Muslim grooming gang that was, in fact, targeting sexually vulnerable minors. That happened.

The police and the journalism experts knew about it, and they admit they knew about it. The BBC did a full documentary on this a few years back, in which one of the journalists who eventually came forward to report on it admitted that, in the early 2000s, he was afraid to report on what was happening in Rotherham because he feared it would lead to anti-immigration sentiment.
In other words, he was more worried about the supposed racism that might spring up in the wake of Muslim grooming gangs than about the Muslim grooming gangs themselves. Eventually, he realized that he was doing something terrible and came forward and reported on it.
But there were officers, whistleblowers, who were put to the side for years because of politically correct concerns about all of this.
Not everyone comes from the same culture, and not everyone thinks the same. The biggest problem for the West — and it is a constant problem — is a projection of our own mindset onto other civilizations, other religions, and other areas of the world.
It is not true. It is stupid, and it leads us to make concessions to groups of people who see our concessions as weakness and see our systems as ripe for exploitation.
That is true whether you are talking about immigration programs or whether you are talking about nuclear programs. If you&#8217;re talking about immigration programs, the idea that anyone can be assimilated because “everyone in their heart is a reasonable person simply seeking a better material life” is untrue. It is verifiably false.
This is why importing vast numbers of people from cultures that do not like the West is not only a foolish move, but it is a highly dangerous move, and it may be too late for the U.K. to do anything about it.
We&#8217;re going to find out. The real political conflict in the U.K. is all about immigration, just as it has been for years in Hungary, Italy, Denmark, and a wide variety of other European countries.
The police investigated. They found actual connections. There are no conspiracy theories here. This was a reality. There is verifiable, verified evidence across a wide variety of cases and actual criminal convictions.
Now take that internationally.
The attempt to project rationality on two groups that are utterly unlike the United States or Europe is foolish. Pretending that the Iranian regime is like the U.S. and therefore subject to normal political considerations is a category error. Putting them even in the same category as Venezuela is a category error.
Venezuela is a communist secularist regime. Their chief goal is to ensure that they remain in power. That means that if you choke them off economically, they might do some of the things that you want in order to remain in power.
But when it comes to the Iranian government, they are more willing to sacrifice their entire body politic and kill everyone than they are willing to make concessions to the United States that subjugate their millenarian impulses.
The biggest mistake the West makes is assuming that everyone thinks like them. That’s why the West imports people who don&#8217;t like them. It&#8217;s why the West tolerates enclaves of people who don&#8217;t like them. It&#8217;s why the West refuses to prosecute people who don&#8217;t like them.
That&#8217;s how you end up with horrible scandals.
Like the grooming gang case over in Great Britain.

The UK-based cosmetics brand Lush Cosmetics is all in for trans rights. But some window art at a local store has drawn the ire of breast cancer survivors, who say glorifying voluntary “gender affirming” mastectomies is just wrong.
The photo was posted earlier this month on the Facebook page “<a href="https://www.facebook.com/chelmsfordforyou">Chelmsford for You</a>,” which is dedicated to the historic city about 30 miles north of London. It was one of several store murals meant to celebrate Pride month ahead of the Essex Pride celebration on June 20. Among the expected rainbows, however, the Lush mural stood out. 
It features a tiger with the signature trans flag inspired pink and baby blue stripes, plus pink mastectomy scars. It includes text that says, “Proud of my stripes.” The Facebook account noted that the design was created by queer artist <a href="https://www.instagram.com/your_pal_bucky/">Bucky Ringsell</a>.
The responses online were very negative.
“Ugh. This is DISGUSTING,” one reaction said. “Teenage girls love to shop in your stores and here you are happily encouraging them to CUT OFF THEIR HEALTHY BREASTS in the name of trans pride. This is beyond repulsive. It&#8217;s dangerous and sick. No parent should allow their child near your stores.”

Several breast cancer survivors also weighed in on the transgender propaganda masquerading as “art.”
“As a woman who had half a breast removed last year due to cancer, I am writing to raise my concerns about your ‘Proud of My Stripes’ window display,” London-based journalist Janet Murray <a href="https://x.com/jan_murray/status/2066140253430161807">wrote</a> in an open letter to Chelmsford city council.
“I am also, on behalf of other women who have experienced breast cancer, respectfully requesting its removal,” the post continued. “Because mastectomies are not a fashion statement, an identity marker or something to be celebrated. They are something women undergo because they are ill, because they are frightened, because they are trying to stay alive.”
Murray said she’s not anti-trans and that it’s a “personal choice,” but says she still takes offense to the window display.
“I think I speak for many women who have experienced breast cancer &#8211; and for their families &#8211; when I say this: Breast removal surgery is not something I regard as cute, playful or empowering,” she added. “Nor is it something I believe retailers should be celebrating.”
She concluded by demanding that the mural be removed, a sentiment echoed by several others.
“Ditto. This is an insult to millions of women who lost their breasts to cancer,” former professional tennis player Martina Navratilova <a href="https://x.com/martina/status/2066168892502761819?s=43">wrote</a> in response to Murray’s letter. 
Lush Cosmetics has a history of fervent LGBT activism. Last fall, the company partnered with the activist group TransActual to create a 24-page illustrated book titled “Dream vs. Reality: creating a world where trans people are safe.” The company also released a pink, blue, and white “Liberation bath bomb” to raise money for trans causes. 
A <a href="https://weare.lush.com/press-releases/lush-partners-with-trans-led-groups-to-stand-up-for-trans-rights/">statement</a> at the time said, “This campaign comes from the heart of the business. Requested by our staff and led by our incredible campaign partners, it comes at a time where positive trans representation is needed to counterpoint some of the toxic narratives that have been shaping public discourse. We hope that the vision presented in this campaign becomes reality and helps to shape a world we can all be proud of.”
Lush Cosmetics did not immediately respond to The Daily Wire’s request for comment on backlash over the image.

President Donald Trump arrived in France on Monday for the Group of Seven (G7) summit, where he is expected to hold a series of high-profile meetings against the backdrop of a newly announced agreement with Iran, an Ebola outbreak, ongoing fighting in Ukraine, and renewed disputes with several European allies.
Shortly before his first meeting, Trump signaled tensions with some members, posting a sharp critique of some European countries’ immigration policies.

Trump has frequently criticized several European governments over mass migration and border security, including G7 members France and the United Kingdom. 
Trump&#8217;s first major bilateral meeting will be with French President Emmanuel Macron Monday before joining fellow G7 leaders for the summit&#8217;s opening events in Evian-les-Bains, a resort spa town on the shores of Lake Geneva near the Swiss border.
Over the next three days, Trump is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with Macron, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 
Trump will also join fellow G7 leaders and invited guests, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, for a series of working sessions focused on Ukraine, the Middle East, economic development, and global trade before concluding the trip on Wednesday.
The summit comes at a pivotal moment for the international community, with Trump announcing that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Iran has been reached and Vice President JD Vance announcing he will attend a signing ceremony in Switzerland on Friday. In a phone interview with Fox News, Vance said President Trump may also make an appearance, pending logistical planning.
&#8220;I certainly plan to be there. It&#8217;s possible the president himself could be there,&#8221; Vance said. &#8220;We got a lot of work to do, but a very big win for the American people tonight.&#8221;
On Sunday evening, Trump announced that negotiators had finalized a long-sought agreement with Iran that would allow for the immediate reopening of the critical shipping lane.
&#8220;The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all!&#8221; Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The precise terms of the agreement remain unclear, particularly regarding Iran&#8217;s nuclear program. According to The New York Times, Trump suggested in an interview on Sunday that he could accept a deal under which Iran suspends uranium enrichment for 15 years.
Such a provision would mark a significant shift from the administration&#8217;s previously stated position. As recently as April 8, Trump <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/116368825638596650">declared</a> on Truth Social that there would be &#8220;no enrichment of Uranium.”
The fallout from the Iran conflict and the newly announced agreement with Tehran is likely to loom large over discussions at the G7, particularly after tensions flared between Trump and several member states that declined his calls to participate in efforts to secure the Strait of Hormuz and instead criticized the U.S. military operation.
Trump publicly expressed frustration with the United Kingdom for its reluctance to become involved, blasted France after officials criticized the strikes, said Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni lacked courage, and lashed out at German Chancellor Friedrich Merz after the German leader suggested Iran had “humiliated” the United States.
“The Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about!” Trump wrote on Truth <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/116483733181582907">Social</a>.
Following the dispute, Trump announced the withdrawal of thousands of U.S. troops from Germany, though part of that move was later offset by deployments to Poland.
France, which holds the current G7 presidency, is seeking areas of cooperation to cool tensions. According to <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2026/06/14/trump-g7-iran-ukraine-ebola-00960717?utm_content=politico/magazine/Politics&amp;utm_source=flipboard">Politico</a>, Macron plans to pursue consensus on critical mineral supply chains, cancer research, child online safety, international development, social impact investing, and efforts to reduce investment risks in developing nations.
The war in Ukraine will also be a central focus of the summit. Zelensky is expected to attend as Kyiv is making notable territorial gains against Russia, but is seeking more U.S. missiles.

I love a good intra-right-wing philosophical debate, and last week brought us one with the banning of Cenk Uygur and Hasan Piker from the United Kingdom.
Piker and Uygur were slated to speak at an SXSW London when the British Home Office suddenly revoked their visas. Their reasoning was that it would &#8220;not be conducive to the public good&#8221; for them to enter the country.
The radical pair instantly did what people like them always do. They blamed Israel, despite the fact that right-wing influencers who are pro-Israel have also been recently banned, and that the U.K. government is openly hostile to the Jewish state.
That led a number of right-of-center intellectuals, some of whom I deeply respect, to argue that the ban was folly. Both the Free Press and National Review editorial boards published pieces criticizing the ban on both pragmatic and philosophical grounds, asserting that the bans would both foster more anti-Israel sentiment and were also a betrayal of free speech and classical liberalism. Several other notable conservatives made similar arguments, including that a &#8220;confident&#8221; civilization wouldn&#8217;t need to do this.
But why should the U.K., Europe, or perhaps even the entire West be confident right now?
The entire continent is a shell of itself by any conceivable metric. Militarily impotent, economically depressed, and morally bankrupt, Western Europe is simply not in a position to be taking for granted that people will see radicalism for what it is when exposed to it.
Only a small minority of young Europeans say they are willing to fight and die for their country. Radical Islamism is becoming more prevalent by the day. Europe needs to be on a defensive posture, and that means fighting back against the forces that seek to destroy it by any means necessary, not being open to a good clean debate for the future of humanity.
The principled case for letting the pair travel is that liberalism dictates such. But Piker and Uygur are not British. We&#8217;ve seen similar arguments play out in the United States during the second Trump administration, about how to extend rights to non-citizens that we all agree citizens do have.
I am not a constitutional lawyer, so I won&#8217;t weigh in on the American legality, and I&#8217;m not a scholar of the British legal system either, so I won&#8217;t opine on Uygur and Piker&#8217;s legal rights across the pond, because I don&#8217;t know. What I will say is that I see no reason to extend the full charities of Western liberalism to foreigners who wish to destroy it.
This is the right&#8217;s version of suicidal empathy. Being a free speech absolutist comes from a good place. And within our own borders with our own people, it is necessary. But there&#8217;s no compelling reason a society must let in outsiders, with no stake in its fortune, to interlope, spread the seeds of destruction, and then go back where they came from, even from a classically liberal viewpoint.
The strongest argument comes from the pragmatists. Rich Lowry <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/2026/06/the-u-k-s-dumb-exclusion-of-left-wing-influencers/">makes a version of this case</a>, arguing that the ban is counterproductive because it raises the profile of the offenders in the U.K. and gives them an opportunity to clownishly blame Israel for it.
Lowry makes the good points that the British Home Office is run by a critic of Israel, the country is run by a left-wing government, and the country itself is profoundly anti-Zionist at this point, so of course it&#8217;s silly to blame Israel. That is all true, which is why I come to the opposite conclusion.
The suggestion that this ban is going to make more people aware of the dunce duo, and thus more likely to subscribe to their ideas, falls flat when they are already aligned with the majority. The case that it gives them an opportunity to falsely blame Israel falls flat because the case is so facially absurd.
Rather, the prevailing takeaway from this decision is that two destructive provocateurs were made to face consequences for their actions. That is all too rare today, and it&#8217;s about time that a Western government stood up for itself.
