Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke on stage in Phoenix with President-elect Donald Trump at AmericaFest on Sunday where he outlined what Republicans are going to do the moment they take power in January.
Cruz said that the American people have given Trump a mandate to implement his agenda, which he said was solidified by the fact that Trump won all seven swing states in addition to Republicans winning control of both the House and Senate.
&#8220;This election has given President Donald J. Trump a Republican Senate and a Republican House – a clear mandate to deliver on our promises,&#8221; Cruz began.
&#8220;One month from today, President Trump will secure the border,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We are going to bring back jobs. We are going to lower prices. We are going to protect American families. We are going to put criminals in jail. We are going to keep our kids safe. We are going to end foreign wars with victory.&#8221;
Cruz added that one of the most consequential things that happened during the election was that he and Trump dominated in their races in Texas, a state that Democrats have been trying to turn blue for decades.
&#8220;You and I won a majority of Hispanic votes in the great state of Texas. That is unprecedented,&#8221; he said. &#8220;That is generational change, and it demonstrates that we are going to protect our nation, we are going to bring our country back, and we are going to make America great again.&#8221;
Trump said that Cruz faced a tough race as Democrats spent $250 million to try to take him out.

The United States is entering a new “golden age,” Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro said on Thursday.
Shapiro took the stage at Turning Point USA’s America Fest in Phoenix, Arizona, on Thursday night and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmSGHQha5yk" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declared</a> to hundreds of cheering supporters that “the golden age of America is just beginning.”
“If you’ve watched my show, I’m usually in a bad mood,” Shapiro said, before adding that he’s in a “pretty … good mood right now” because of Trump’s election victory and what that means for the future of the United States.
Shapiro credited Trump at the start of the speech; according to Shapiro, Trump is ushering in the “golden age” propelled by the support of the American people.
“This is all happening because President Trump is a force, is a historic force, is the historic force of our age,” Shapiro said. “He was the man standing between the United States and stagnation and surrender, and President Trump stood. And he was indicted, and he stood. And he was shot, and he stood. And America stood with him.”

The Music Hall of Williamsburg canceled the rental contract just days before the event — featuring Candace Owens, Brandon Tatum, and other speakers — was set to take place.
The venue condemned BLEXIT in a <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CteRSmeO6sd/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=3308fd83-fcc8-4874-98a2-9eac9600d144" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a>, remarking “It has become abundantly clear to us that in actuality this organization provides a platform for hate speech and homophobia, which The Bowery Presents will not tolerate, and we have canceled their rental contract.”
“This event will not take place in our venue,” the statement concluded.
BLEXIT shot back in a statement of its own, asserting, “The Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York has caved to the woke mob and disallowed BLEXIT and Turning Point USA to use their venue for an upcoming ‘Liberation Tour’ event this Saturday.”

According to the Eventbrite page, the lecture was meant to highlight how “the religion of wokeness has ruined sports, culture, and the church.” Root and Gaines oppose males who self-identify as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">transgender</a> from participating in women’s sports leagues, noting the physical harm and competitive disadvantages such policies inflict on female athletes.
Two days before the event was slated to begin, San Francisco State revoked the room booked for the event. A spokesperson for the school informed Turning Point USA that accommodations would be made if the event occurred virtually, warning the chapter’s president in an email that the event should be understood to be unapproved by the administration if the students appear on the public university&#8217;s campus and attempt to host the discussion.
“This event, on the back of Riley Gaines’ assault at the hands of radical, trans activists at San Francisco State, is about standing against censorship of free speech, being a voice for the brave TPUSA students on this intolerant, liberal campus who are being bullied by the administration, and most importantly, this is about sharing the truth without fear,” Root said in a <a href="https://www.tpusa.com/live/after-riley-gaines-incident-sfsu-revokes-approval-for-tpusa-event-featuring-jon-root" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a>. “This has the ability to make waves across the country — to show that San Francisco State and other radical leftist campuses can’t silence conservatives.”

Two people were arrested and one police officer was injured Tuesday night after a mix of protesters and black-clad rioters clashed with authorities and damaged property at the University of California, Davis, in protest of a Turning Point USA event featuring <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/charlie-kirk" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charlie Kirk</a>.
Kirk, who founded the nationwide conservative organization of 250,000 student members, spoke to approximately 500 attendees at the left-leaning university about American values.
However, before the audience could access the venue, about 100 protesters and some rioters blocked the main entrance and pathway, UC Davis officials said.
&#8220;Outside the UCUC, about 100 protesters gathered and for brief times blocked the main event entrance and the pathway to the entrance,&#8221; the school told <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/elon-musk-respond-protesters-smash-windows-hurl-eggs-charlie-kirk-event-college-campus" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News</a>. &#8220;One officer sustained an injury when he was jumped on from behind and pushed to the ground, and two people were arrested and taken to Yolo County Jail for allegedly painting graffiti on an exterior wall of the University Credit Union Center, or UCUC, where the event was held.&#8221;
Videos posted to social media show some rioters kicking in glass windows at the venue, while other <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11862789/Elon-Musk-slams-Antifa-goons-violent-protest-Charlie-Kirk-invited-talk-UC-Davis.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reports</a> show the group throwing eggs and other objects. UC Davis officials told Fox News that the unidentified person taken into custody by authorities was not affiliated with the university.
Most agitators held signs supporting the “LGBTQIA2S+” community, covering their identity with umbrellas.
UC Davis Chancellor Gary S. May shared a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rz3k-FnPpJM" target="_blank" rel="noopener">video</a> on YouTube in which he referred to the Turning Point USA founder as &#8220;a well-documented proponent of misinformation and hate and who has advocated for violence against transgender individuals.&#8221;
May said that while he &#8220;abhors the inflammatory speech&#8221; of Kirk, the university did not invite or sponsor him to speak on the campus.
He said the university abides by the policy that allows registered student organizations, such as Turning Point USA, to reserve campus facilities to host speakers of their choice, &#8220;even if the speaker&#8217;s intended speech is loathsome and hurtful to me and to others in our campus community.&#8221;
&#8220;As a campus that is committed to our principles of community,&#8221; May said. “UC Davis stands with our transgender and non-binary Aggies in opposition to the hateful and divisive messaging.&#8221;
The rhetoric from the university&#8217;s chancellor echoed similar sentiments from an op-ed with the California-based news outlet Sacramento Bee, which called for UC Davis to cancel the event and falsely accused Kirk of advocating for the &#8220;lynching&#8221; of transgender-identifying people.
&#8220;Charlie Kirk has called for the lynching of trans people, a comment that should warrant the cancelation of his speaking engagement at UC Davis,&#8221; the outlet said in a since-deleted tweet.
Kirk denied the inflammatory headline and article and threatened to sue the outlet, which removed the article from its site and reposted it, referring to Kirk as a &#8220;far-right&#8221; leader.

Event management platform Eventbrite has removed a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/turning-point-usa">Turning Point USA</a> screening of Matt Walsh’s documentary “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/collections/what-is-a-woman">What Is a Woman?</a>” for allegedly promoting “hate,” event organizers say.
Field representative Maggie Fuchs shared a screenshot on her Twitter of the email detailing why Eventbrite removed the event. The screening is scheduled for Tuesday, September 13, at the West Kentucky University campus. The Turning Point WKU Twitter page <a href="https://twitter.com/wku_tpusa/status/1567567780207120385">confirms</a> the screening will still happen despite Eventbrite not allowing them to promote it on their platform.

An email from the company said, “We encourage our organizers to express their views and gather for a chosen purpose as long as it’s done in a way that doesn’t violate our Legal Terms. We do not permit events, content, or creators that promote or encourage hate, violence, or harassment towards others and/or oneself.”
The notice of removal went on to say that the event “expresses views that are in violation” of the company’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Next, the platform Trust and Safety Team advised that the event would be removed.
The <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/l/community-guidelines/">Community Guidelines</a> for Eventbrite further promise that they are “committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful platform for the organization and discovery of live events.” Specifically prohibited content includes “Hateful or Dangerous Content or Events That Discriminate Against or Threaten Any Societal Group, or Encourages Violence.”
This section specifies content cannot be, “Hate speech, hateful ideologies, and hateful activities that incite, encourage or engage in violence, intimidation, disparagement, harassment, or threats targeting an individual or group based on their actual or perceived race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, immigration status, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or veteran status.”
Eventbrite did not immediately return The Daily Wire’s request for comment about the specific reason why the event was removed.
The “What Is a Woman?” screening is not the first event to get removed from Eventbrite for violating their community guidelines. In July, Eventbrite <a href="https://www.ticketnews.com/2022/07/eventbrite-face-gop-ire-over-deplatforming-dsouza-event/">canceled payments</a> for an event featuring “2,000 Mules” creator Dinesh D’Souza, including a film screening, because it was promoting “potentially harmful misinformation.”
The movie seeks to prove fraud in the 2020 election.
Louisiana GOP Chairman Louis Gurvich said he believed Eventbrite’s actions were politically motivated, and that they canceled the event at the last minute as a form of sabotage.
“I have to feel like there’s a malicious intent here,” Gurvich said at the time. “We’re not going to recover all the fees. We may recover most, but we’re not going to recover the time and effort it’s going to take to recover the donations … that had already been given to us and then were basically taken away.”

While it&#8217;s been commonplace for Hollywood celebs and musical talents to join forces with liberal causes and Democratic politicians, it&#8217;s big news when stars link up with conservatives &#8212; and some big-name country music entertainers are doing just that.
Performers like Brantley Gilbert, Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson, and RaeLynn have all signed on to perform at a conservative conference hosted by Turning Point USA called &#8220;AmericaFest.&#8221; Right-wing politicos like Donald Trump Jr., The Daily Wire&#8217;s Candace Owens, and Fox News host Tucker Carlson are all slotted to give speeches at the event.
&#8220;Brantley Gilbert and Dustin Lynch are among the performers at the upcoming conservative conference AmericaFest, slated for Dec. 18-21 in Phoenix,&#8221; Billboard <a href="https://www.billboard.com/music/country/brantley-gilbert-dustin-lynch-americafest-performers-lineup-1235011891/">reported</a> Friday. &#8220;The conference is one of several annual summits hosted by the conservative nonprofit organization Turning Point USA.&#8221;
&#8220;Other country performers on the lineup include &#8216;Home Sweet&#8217; singer Russell Dickerson, RaeLynn, Adam Doleac, &#8216;God Bless the U.S.A.&#8217; singer Lee Greenwood, and Dee Jay Silver,&#8221; the report added. &#8220;Lynch’s song &#8216;Thinking ‘Bout You&#8217; with Mackenzie Porter is in its second week atop Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart.&#8221;
The singers aren&#8217;t the only ones on the country music scene to connect themselves with the Right. This year, county star Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany Aldean have been open about their support for the U.S. Military and voiced criticism aimed at President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, both Democrats.
This summer, for example, Brittany discussed her decision to be open about her conservative political views, emphasizing that she gets more support than people realize, and, frankly, doesn’t “give a d***” about the criticism.
Brittany, friends with Candace Owens, has also promoted clothing that reads &#8220;Anti Biden Social Club&#8221; on her Instagram.
Singer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/award-winning-country-singer-comes-out-with-pro-life-song-that-hits-home">RaeLynn</a> released a pro-life song this year called &#8220;She Chose Me,&#8221; and performed it on &#8220;Candace,&#8221; a weekly show produced by The Daily Wire.
Taste of Country <a href="https://tasteofcountry.com/raelynn-baytown-album-interview-2021/">noted</a> that the song outlines “&#8217;a Bible Belt-lovin’ believer’ who gets pregnant after an extramarital affair with a man on Galveston Bay and, the lyrics imply, considers getting an abortion,” but in the end chooses her daughter.
RaeLynn also praises the joy of motherhood in the album. “‘Made for Me to Love,’ a love letter to her infant daughter Daisy, in January, when she was only eight weeks pregnant,” Taste of Country said. “She says she arrived at the writing session feeling ‘super emotional’ and, despite the axiom about waiting to share pregnancy news until after the first trimester, she told her co-writers that she was pregnant before sitting down to write the song.”
In October, award-winning country music artist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sacrifice-im-willing-to-make-country-artist-cancels-concerts-at-venues-requiring-masks-vax-proof-or-covid-tests">Travis Tritt</a> announced that he&#8217;d be canceling a number of shows due to venues requiring fans to either show proof of COVID vaccination, submit a negative COVID test, or mandating masks.
“I’m putting my money where my mouth is and announcing that any venue or promoter mandating masks, requiring vaccinations, or pushing COVID testing protocols on my fans will not be tolerated,” Tritt said in a statement to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sacrifice-im-willing-to-make-country-artist-cancels-concerts-at-venues-requiring-masks-vax-proof-or-covid-tests">The Daily Wire</a>. “Any show I have booked that discriminates against concert-goers by requiring proof of vaccination, a COVID test, or a mask is being canceled immediately.”

Numerous Big Name Country Music Stars Sign On To Perform At Conservative Political Conference

Two Tennessee Tech University (TTU) professors are suing TTU after the university punished them for “threatening, harassing, and intimidating” a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) advisor and students. TTU found the two professors, Dr. Julia Gruber and Andrew Smith, at fault for posting flyers that singled out TTU’s TPUSA advisor, a fellow TTU professor named Andrew (A.J.) Donadio, and accused him and TPUSA of racism and hate group activity.
As punishment, TTU barred Gruber and Smith from serving as faculty advisors to any student organization, participating in study abroad or faculty-led trips, receiving non-instructional faculty assignments or awards, accepting salary increases for one year. Additionally, the two were ordered to meet with the dean before and after the semester, attend behavioral meetings, and have their classes observed. TTU warned the professors they would be fired for any further violations.
Gruber and Smith <a href="https://www.scribd.com/document/530376660/Gruber-and-Smith-v-Tennessee-Tech-University">filed suit</a> Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. Judge Waverly Crenshaw, Jr., will preside over the case. Gruber and Smith asked the court to declare that TTU had denied them their constitutional right to free speech and to reverse TTU’s disciplinary action.
The pair made <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/tennessee-tech-professors-post-fliers-calling-colleague-turning-point-usa-adviser-racist">national headlines</a> over their flyer earlier this year, which stated:
<blockquote>This racist college professor thought it would be a great idea to help start a Tennessee Tech chapter for this national hate group, where racist students can unite to harass, threaten, intimidate, and terrorize persons of color, feminists, liberals, and the like, especially their teachers.
Their organization created a national ‘Professor Watchlist’ to harass and intimidate progressive educators, including many women, African-American, and Muslim professors.
Professor Donadio and Turning Point USA. You are on our list. Your hate and hypocrisy are not welcome at Tennessee Tech. No unity with racists. Hate speech is not free speech.</blockquote>
Gruber, an associate German professor, and Smith, a senior English instructor, claimed that the flyers were protected speech under the First Amendment. The professors claimed the flyers addressed a public concern, not a personal grievance, and were a commentary on the perception that TTU was tolerating racism.
They also disagreed with TTU’s characterization of the flyers as “threatening, intimidating, and harassing.” Instead, they argued the flyers actually promoted TTU’s goals of diversity and fair treatment by calling out racism, hatred, and bigotry.
Smith created the flyers in early February after Gruber told him she’d witnessed Donadio clap in support of a local school board’s decision to keep its Native American-themed mascot, the Redskins. Gruber and Smith both thought the mascot was racially insensitive; Gruber had even <a href="https://ca.gofundme.com/f/replace-algoodracist-school-mascots">created</a> a GoFundMe to launch a campaign for replacing the mascot. It only raised $400 of its $5,000 goal. Gruber’s <a href="https://www.change.org/p/the-school-board-change-the-algood-middle-school-mascot">associated petition</a> received over 4,000 signatures.
Even as TTU was investigating Gruber and Smith for the flyers, the two professors doubled down on their decision to target Donadio and TPUSA. The pair <a href="https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?ref=external&amp;v=935076647319921">appeared</a> on The Rude Pundit, a left-leaning podcast, to defend their actions in April. They claimed that they would be open to debating TPUSA over their differences, despite the flyer’s assertion that TPUSA’s speech was intolerable hate speech. Their main argument was that the flyer was a protected form of free speech.
Both <a href="https://www.professorwatchlist.org/professor/juliagruber">Gruber</a> and <a href="https://www.professorwatchlist.org/professor/andrewsmith">Smith</a> are now listed on TPUSA’s “Professor Watchlist,” a database of professors who “discriminate against conservative students and advance leftist propaganda in the classroom.”
TTU didn’t respond to The Daily Wire’s request for comment by press time.

Tennessee Tech Professors Suing After University Punishes Them for ‘Threatening, Harassing, Intimidating’ Turning Point USA Advisor

A conservative campus group at Emerson College has been suspended and several students are under investigation for handing out stickers critical of the Chinese government, according to a new report from the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE).
FIRE <a href="https://www.thefire.org/emerson-college-investigates-suspends-conservative-student-group-for-stickers-criticizing-chinas-government/">reported </a>that a campus chapter of Turning Point USA was suspended on October 1, just days after the group passed out stickers that said “CHINA KINDA SUS,” and the same day that group leaders were notified that they were under investigation for violating the college’s community guidelines. The stickers also featured a hammer and sickle, implying that the group was suspicious of China’s communist government. 
In a letter to Interim President William Gilligan, FIRE attorney Adam Steinbaugh <a href="https://d28htnjz2elwuj.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/05142625/FIRE-Letter-to-Emerson-College-October-5-2021.pdf">wrote</a>, “FIRE is concerned by Emerson College’s suspension, investigation, and initiation of misconduct charges against a student organization and its members due to its distribution of stickers critical of the government of the People’s Republic of China.”
“Criticism of governments is core political expression protected by principles of free expression that Emerson pledges to uphold,” the letter continued. It should be noted that Emerson is a private school, so First Amendment concerns do not pertain to this particular incident. 
In response to a request for comment from The Daily Wire, Michelle Gaseau, Director of Media Relations and Communications for Emerson College, said, &#8220;The college takes these matters seriously, and is addressing reports of the events on campus last week.&#8221;
She also pointed to President Gilligan&#8217;s <a href="https://today.emerson.edu/2021/09/30/recent-event-on-the-boston-campus/">statement</a> on the matter where he condemned bigotry against Asians and said the college would begin an investigation into the reports about stickers with &#8220;anti-Chinese messaging.&#8221;
FIRE obtained several emails it says came from the school documenting its response to the incident. 
A day after the students handed out the stickers, Emerson’s International Student Affairs team sent out an <a href="https://d28htnjz2elwuj.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/05160918/Email-from-Emerson-International-Student-Affairs-Team-to-International-Student-Community-September-30-2021_Redacted.pdf">email</a> consoling foreign students about the incident. The group said that the stickers “expressed anti-China hate” and that they stood with Asian students “to denounce the use of free speech platforms for statements that are used as xenophobic weapons.” 
The team also mentioned that it was reviewing the incident for potential violations of the school’s Code of Community Standards. 
Responding to the outrage, TPUSA Emerson <a href="https://www.instagram.com/tv/CUdmzRcg-yP/?utm_source=FIRE_Update&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=Update&amp;fb_subscribed=true">posted</a> a video to Instagram explaining that &#8220;the sticker intends to criticize the Chinese government,&#8221; clarifying, &#8220;it has nothing to do with Asian ethnicity or Asian culture.&#8221; 
The video was captioned, “The mob didn’t like our sticker, we don’t like the mob.&#8221; 
&#8220;Multiple administrators at Emerson College released statements assigning racist malice to our ‘China Kinda Sus’ stickers without speaking with us first,” the caption continued.
According to FIRE, on October 1, the leaders of the group <a href="https://d28htnjz2elwuj.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/05160526/Letter-from-Emerson-College-to-Turning-Point-USA-October-1-2021.pdf">received</a> an email from Julia Rothhaar-Sanders, Emerson Director of Community Standards, telling them that they were under investigation for “bias related behavior” and “invasion of privacy.” It also told them that the group would be placed under “interim action,” meaning that they would not be able to hold events on campus while the investigation was ongoing. A meeting with the group leaders will be scheduled to discuss the incident. 
“If anything is ‘kinda sus,’ it’s Emerson’s overblown response to the stickers,” Steinbaugh <a href="https://www.thefire.org/emerson-college-investigates-suspends-conservative-student-group-for-stickers-criticizing-chinas-government/">said</a>, “Emerson must make this right by immediately dropping the investigation and affirming that criticism of a foreign government is not discriminatory harassment.”

Two Tennessee Tech University professors are under investigation for posting fliers that designated their colleague as a “racist.”
Andrew Smith, an associate professor of English, and Julia Gruber, an associate professor of German, admitted to posting insulting fliers around the school of associate nursing professor and Turning Point USA adviser Andrew Donadio. The fliers condemned the conservative activist group and its “Professor Watchlist,” which ranks how biased and progressive professors are. 
The flier read:

In the middle of the flier was a picture of Donadio. The photo was captioned, “Professor Donadio and Turning Point USA: You are on our list. Your hate and hypocrisy are not welcome at Tennessee Tech. No unity with racists. Hate speech is not free speech.”

Smith and Gruber believe that “hate speech” is not protected by the First Amendment, though they are arguing that their criticism and name-calling of a professor is protected by the First Amendment. 
The quarrel began in February when the local county school board considered forming a committee to rename Algood Middle School’s mascot from the Redskins to something less “offensive” to Native Americans. When the mascot committee failed to form, Donadio allegedly applauded during a February school board meeting.
Sitting nearby was Gruber, who was in favor of renaming the Redskins mascot. According to Inside Higher Ed, Gruber allegedly went home and texted about the clapping incident with Smith. The two decided to create fliers about Donadio and place them around the nursing school building. 
Tennessee Tech declined to comment on the case to <a href="https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2021/04/20/tennessee-tech-professors-face-discipline-calling-colleague-racist">Inside Higher Ed</a>, though it claims that the university is “currently following its personnel policy and procedures. No disciplinary action has been taken at this time.” 
Despite the ongoing investigation, Smith recently encouraged students to heckle Turning Point USA students and supporters at an event in Nashville with Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and The Daily Wire’s Candace Owens. The <a href="https://tennesseestar.com/2021/04/02/you-are-on-our-list-professors-put-up-campus-fliers-threatening-professor-and-students-over-accused-racism-hate-group-activity-for-turning-point-usa-affiliation/">Tennessee Star</a> screenshotted a post from Smith that read, “Any of my Nashville Good Trouble crew going to call out these fascists tonight?” 
In a separate Facebook post, Gruber accused Donadio of affiliating with the Proud Boys, a right-wing extremist group. Gruber also told the <a href="https://herald-citizen.com/stories/tech-investigates-complaint-over-fliers-labeling-professor-racist,48242">Herald Citizen</a> that she was “relieved” that Donadio did not like being called a racist. 
“I am relieved to learn that Mr. Donadio has issues with being called a racist. This tells me that he does not identify as one,” Gruber <a href="https://herald-citizen.com/stories/tech-investigates-complaint-over-fliers-labeling-professor-racist,48242">said</a>. “I would therefore like to extend an invitation to him to help us in our anti-racist activities on campus and in our community.”

Tennessee Tech Professors Post Fliers Calling Colleague, Turning Point USA Adviser ‘Racist’

Four veterans from Georgia blasted Democratic Senate candidate Raphael Warnock for claiming in a recently unearthed sermon that &#8220;nobody can serve God and the military.&#8221;
In a video with <a href="https://www.facebook.com/DonaldJTrumpJr/videos/438737617507363" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Turning Point Action</a>, Navy Lt. Cmdr. Darryl Wilson, Army Sgt. Meg Peters, Marine Corps Maj. Jeff McDonald, and Army Capt. John Sours agreed that Warnock&#8217;s comments were insulting to those who have served in the U.S. armed forces and disqualified him to serve in the Senate.
In an April 2011 <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/democrat-raphael-warnock-nobody-can-serve-america-in-the-military-while-also-serving-god" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">sermon</a>, Warnock said, &#8220;America, nobody can serve God and the military. You can’t serve God and money. You cannot serve God and mammon at the same time. America, choose ye this day who you will serve. Choose ye this day.&#8221;
&#8220;What Bible has he been reading?&#8221; asked Peters, who served in Afghanistan and lost someone under her command. &#8220;Since the beginning of time, the good Lord has raised up armies to fight evil.&#8221;
Wilson, who served nine years in the Navy, said that Warnock&#8217;s comments were &#8220;an insult to all of us who&#8217;ve worn the uniform,&#8221; and characterized the Senate candidate&#8217;s attitude as one that &#8220;flies in the face of everything we hold sacred in this country.&#8221;
&#8220;Those of us who&#8217;ve been out there in uniform, those who are there now in uniform, certainly rely on their faith to get them through the tough times in the dark of night,&#8221; Wilson added. &#8220;I don&#8217;t understand how this person who calls himself a man of God can separate the military from God when it is God that, in fact, gives us the strength to do what we do.&#8221;
&#8220;It just makes me kind of sick to my stomach,&#8221; said McDonald, who served 14 years in the Marine Corps. &#8220;I served God and I served in the military,&#8221; he continued, recounting how one night he thought he was going to die and begged God to save his life.
Sours, who served four years active-duty in the Army, said Warnock&#8217;s statement &#8220;is as absurd as it is obnoxious&#8221; and that the reverend &#8220;has never been anywhere near the military.&#8221; He went on to describe Warnock’s views as &#8220;so extreme, so far out of the mainstream of American values and traditions, that he has absolutely no business running for public office.&#8221;
&#8220;Now is not the time for Warnock,&#8221; Wilson added. &#8220;Now&#8217;s the time when our country needs to come together, we need to heal, and we need leadership, strong leadership.&#8221;
Warnock will face Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) in a runoff Senate race in Georgia on Jan. 5, which has drawn national attention for its potential to swing the upper chamber to the Democratic Party. Also facing off on Jan. 5 are Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) and Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff.

In a report published on Tuesday, The Washington Post <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/turning-point-teens-disinformation-trump/2020/09/15/c84091ae-f20a-11ea-b796-2dd09962649c_story.html">smeared</a> conservative activists, likening them to &#8220;Russian bots&#8221; and a Macedonian &#8220;troll farm&#8221; for posting pro-Trump and conservative content online from their own accounts, in coordination with Turning Point USA marketing partner Rally Forge.
The Post, ironically railing against so-called election interference, boasted Tuesday about prompting social media giants like Twitter and Facebook to ban the young Arizona-based politicos&#8217; accounts:
<blockquote>In response to questions from The Post, Twitter on Tuesday suspended at least 20 accounts involved in the activity for “platform manipulation and spam.” Facebook also removed a number of accounts as part of what the company said is an ongoing investigation.</blockquote>
There is no evidence presented by the Post or otherwise that the accounts are in fact &#8220;bots.&#8221;
The young conservatives used their real names and personal accounts—or pseudonyms to protect themselves from bullying and harassment—posting pro-Trump, conservative, and lockdown-skeptical content online for months.
Moreover, numerous Democrat organizations engage in the same message-pushing outlined in the Post report, noted Breitbart <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2020/09/16/washpost-compares-pro-trump-teenagers-to-russian-trolls-gets-them-banned-from-social-media/">reporter</a> Allum Bokhari.
Here are a just a couple of the examples highlighted by Bokhari:
<blockquote>The <a class="x5l" href="https://archive.is/0ZOR5" target="_blank" rel="noopener external noreferrer">Texas Democrat Party</a> is currently advertising for a “deputy digital organizing director” who will “Recruit and manage an in-state volunteer digital captains program to develop, curate, and distribute grassroots-generated content in support of Democrats up and down the ticket.”
The <a class="x5l" href="https://archive.is/EVGmN" target="_blank" rel="noopener external noreferrer">South Carolina Democrat</a> party is currently recruiting a “digital organizing manager,” who will “develop volunteer communities via Facebook, Slack, and/or other online platforms.”</blockquote>
“Comparing American conservative teenagers to Russian bots is, in and of itself, the height of misinformation by the mainstream media,” said a spokesman for Students for Trump, which contracted Rally Forge. “They should be ashamed. It’s beyond ridiculous at this point.”
Paige Noonan, one of the young conservative activists, pushed back against the Post.
“I love this job,&#8221; she said, according to Breitbart. &#8220;It’s a great environment and I actually have fun with it — I am grateful I have a job during corona[virus].”
“It’s sick that the Washington Post and Twitter are working together to take away my right to free speech” she added.
“It’s stupid and dumb,” said activist Brent Hamilton. “They call us ‘Russian bots,’ which we’re obviously not. We’re American and Arizonan, writing about what we believe in.”
Hamilton had his account banned from social media following the Post&#8217;s pushback regarding the conservatives to big tech companies.
Turning Point Action field director Austin Smith issued a statement in response to the report, too. “This is sincere political activism conducted by real people who passionately hold the beliefs they describe online, not an anonymous troll farm in Russia,&#8221; he said.

“Like everyone else, Turning Point Action’s plans for nationwide in-person events and activities were completely disrupted by the pandemic,” Smith added. “Many positions TPA had planned for in field work were going to be completely cut, but TPA managed to reimagine these roles and working with our marketing partners, transitioned some to a virtual and online activist model.”
