Country superstar <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/made-the-difficult-decision-country-legend-reba-mcentire-postpones-handful-of-shows-per-doctors-orders" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reba McEntire</a> is coming to NBC where she will headline a yet-untitled sitcom that has scored a pilot order for the network.
The 68-year-old country singer will team up once again with former &#8220;Reba&#8221; showrunner Kevin Abbott, who will write the script for the project, according to <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/reba-mcentire-comedy-nbc-1235810074/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The </a>Hollywood Reporter.
The music legend will also work with executive producers from &#8220;Reba,&#8221; Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis, on the project, <a href="https://deadline.com/2024/01/reba-mcentire-nbc-comedy-pilot-1235808110/">Deadline</a> noted.
The series will reportedly center around the music legend whose character is less than pleased to learn she has a half sister and a new business partner after inheriting her father&#8217;s restaurant.

In addition to the previous team who worked on her popular WB/CW series joining the show, Julie Abbott will also executive produce the new comedy, Deadline noted.
McEntire&#8217;s &#8220;Reba&#8221; series debuted in 2001 and ran for six seasons. The hitmaker previously talked about the idea of rebooting the series with stars such as Steve Howey, Christopher Rich, JoAnna Garcia, among others, <a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/1360319/reba-mcentire-weighs-in-on-a-possible-reba-reboot">E! News</a> noted.
&#8220;We talked about that a lot,&#8221; McEntire exclusively told the outlet in 2023. &#8220;I don&#8217;t think that&#8217;s ever going to come to fruition, but maybe one of these days.&#8221;
Last year, Reba added to her acting credits when she starred in the ABC series &#8220;Big Sky.&#8221; She appeared in the series&#8217; third season where she played Sunny Barnes alongside real life boyfriend Rex Linn, Deadline noted.
The untitled &#8220;Reba&#8221; comedy is the first pilot order of NBC&#8217;s for the 2024 season which was greatly impacted by last year&#8217;s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/studios-load-up-on-ai-specialists-as-actors-writers-remain-on-picket-line" target="_blank" rel="noopener">writers&#8217; and actors&#8217; strikes</a>, THR noted.

The &#8220;Fancy&#8221; hitmaker later shared the news with her followers and <a href="https://x.com/reba/status/1747972846108725676?s=20">wrote</a>, &#8220;I&#8217;m honored to be part of something as big and historic as the Super Bowl coming to Las Vegas for the first time!&#8221;

However, Linn spoke up immediately and said excitedly, &#8220;Yes she&#8217;ll do it, absolutely.&#8221;

Blake Shelton opened up about his decision to leave as a judge on the popular reality competion series &#8220;The Voice&#8221; and admitted he&#8217;s actually been thinking about doing so for a long time.
During the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/gwen-stefani-thought-life-was-over-before-blake-shelton-god-just-put-us-together">46-year-old</a> singer&#8217;s appearance Monday on the &#8220;Today&#8221; <a href="https://twitter.com/TODAYshow/status/1630210382529806338?s=20">show</a>, Shelton talked about how he was looking forward to doing a &#8220;little bit of nothing&#8221; when he leaves the show at the end of the 23rd season which starts in one week.
&#8220;I think I was close to calling it a day right when COVID hit [in 2020],&#8221; the country star told host Carson Daly.

The &#8220;Red River Blue&#8221; star said the show not only changed his life professionally but personally as well, noting that it&#8217;s where he met his wife, singer Gwen Stefani.
&#8220;I met my wife on this show,&#8221; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/blake-shelton-will-give-up-being-on-the-voice-to-focus-on-raising-children-with-gwen-stefani">Shelton</a> shared. &#8220;It&#8217;s changed my life in every way it possibly can, from a personal standpoint.&#8221;
&#8220;When I came on as a coach on this show, I mean, everything in my life was turned upside down,&#8221; he added. &#8220;And in a good way, you know? This has been incredible, but it&#8217;s time, you know. It&#8217;s time for not even what&#8217;s next. A little bit of nothing would be nice.&#8221;
In 2011, the country star joined the reality series when it first launched. Three years later Stefani would become a judge. At the time the two met, both were married to other people. The pair then went through separate divorces and in 2015, Shelton and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/report-gwen-stefani-blake-shelton-holding-marriage-until-annulment-catholic-faith-extremely-important-to-her">Stefani</a> started dating.
They made headlines when they got engaged in October 2020 and again when they finally tied the knot at an intimate ceremony in July 2021.
In October 2022, Blake said it was time to share the news he&#8217;d been grappling with for a while about leaving &#8220;The Voice,&#8221; the outlet <a href="https://www.today.com/popculture/tv/blake-shelton-leaving-voice-season-23-rcna51798">noted</a>.

Monday, on The Voice, Kentucky native Jordan Smith unleashed an amazing rendition of the classic hymn &#8220;Great is Thy Faithfulness&#8221; on Monday and blew the judges, audience, and even the stage crew away. Actual chills. 
Jordan, who grew up singing in church with his family, said, &#8220;God provides. He&#8217;s like, &#8216;I&#8217;m going to do everything for you, all you have to do is wake up every morning and be who you are.&#8217;&#8221;
Country star and judge Blake Sheldon commented that, &#8220;Coming off the weekend and the horrible things that happened over in Paris and just kind of having a heavy hear the last few days, thank you for that.&#8221; 
&#8220;You come along and you make us all feel that there&#8217;s a hope. You are a sense of rejuvenation,&#8221; said rocker Adam Levine.
