A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/texas" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Texas</a> Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter (DAR) has decided to fight back against its national organization’s decision to allow trans-identifying males into the historic female group.
In a letter from the Martha Laird Chapter — with help from the Center for American Liberty (CAL) — it has pushed back against a threat from its leadership that by prohibiting transgender males, the DAR would somehow lose its tax-exempt status, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/texas-daughters-american-revolution-chapter-challenges-premise-must-admit-transgender-members">Fox News</a> reported.
The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/michael-knowles-exposes-transgender-attempt-to-infiltrate-daughters-of-american-revolution">previously revealed</a> &#8212; in a viral thread on <a href="https://x.com/michaeljknowles/status/1838267625962405922" target="_blank" rel="noopener">X</a> &#8212; how a group of daughters were &#8220;channeling their rebellious spirit of their forebears&#8221; by fighting back “this time building a larger, grassroots effort to affirm the original intent of the bylaws and prevent men from continuing to invade their genealogical society.”
Knowles shared details of an internal DAR FAQ document which said that “members are expected to pretend that ‘transgender women’ have always been eligible and that their inclusion took place ‘organically,’ as if implicit in bylaws written before ‘transgenderism’ was even thought to exist.”
“Members have been told that in order to keep our nonprofit status we must allow men who submit an altered birth certificate indicating they are female to be eligible members,” a letter on the DAR <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1659132851538607/permalink/1776056659846225/?mibextid=wwXIfr&amp;_rdr">Facebook</a> page read.
“Our hope is that once members and the NBOM [National Board of Management] can feel confident that our nonprofit status is not in jeopardy, they will no longer feel intimidated and vote to allow this bylaw amendment to be heard at Continental Congress,” it added.

“The Martha Laird Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution has engaged the Center for American Liberty to evaluate (1) whether the National Society (DAR) has a First Amendment right to change membership requirements to exclude trans-identifying men from eligibility, and (2) whether such a change would impact the DAR’s tax-exempt status,” the letter posted on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1659132851538607/permalink/1776056659846225/?mibextid=wwXIfr&amp;_rdr">Facebook</a> read.

The answer to question 1., it found was &#8220;Yes,&#8221; and to question 2., it decided was &#8220;No.&#8221; The letter concluded, “If the DAR changes its bylaws to exclude trans-identifying men from membership eligibility, it is possible that a state or local government could bring an enforcement action against the DAR under a public accommodations law, but the DAR would have a strong First Amendment defense to such an action if it determined that admitting trans-identifying men interferes with its expressive message and articulated reasons why this is the case.”
“Moreover, it is unlikely that the IRS or the District of Columbia would revoke the DAR’s non-profit status over such a bylaw change given the facts that there is likely no public policy opposing exclusion of transgender-identifying men from female-only private genealogical organizations and that any such attempted revocation would likely violate the DAR’s associational rights,” the letter added.
The Martha Laird Chapter — with the endorsement of eleven other Chapters — in September 2024 submitted a second proposed bylaw amendment to prohibit all men, including trans-identifying males, from the group, after a prior one was rejected on the basis that it would put their nonprofit status in jeopardy, the letter noted.
The new proposed bylaw amendment says, “A woman is defined as a biological female at conception, having naturally occurring X chromosomes, exclusive of Y chromosomes, and certified as female or girl on the original birth certificate. NSDAR and its chapters may not discriminate against an eligible applicant.&#8221;
On February 8, the DAR NBOM now must consider this amendment and if approved it will go up for a vote by the entire DAR membership at the Continental Congress this summer, the outlet noted.
&#8220;We will continue doing this every year until we at least get a vote at the Continental Congress,&#8221; Laura McDonald, member of the Martha Laird DAR Chapter, said. &#8220;That&#8217;s the only fair and transparent way to handle this.&#8221;
&#8220;Everybody is realizing that this trans ideology, this agenda to have men infiltrate women&#8217;s spaces, is starting to not be popular anymore, and it&#8217;s not as accepted,&#8221; she added.

AUSTIN, Texas – The large, organized constellation of United Nations and nongovernmental organization (NGO) agencies sees a rosy future for itself even under Donald Trump, having already directed billions of mostly U.S. taxpayer dollars into supporting millions of illegal southern border crossing trips during President Joe Biden’s term.
Perhaps, in part, to keep the migratory pressure on America’s southern border, using U.S. taxpayer money, as Trump mounts a planned border crackdown this year.
The U.N.-organized conglomerate recently released its 2025-2026 “<a href="https://www.r4v.info/en/rmrp2025-2026" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Regional Refugee and Migrant Response Plan (RMRP)</a>,” which is a budget needs analysis for Latin America migration support developed during the U.S. presidential campaign but recognizes in its published iteration that Trump was re-elected.

The document calls for maintaining spending levels as high as when a mass migration torrent was at full throttle in recent years. It wants $1.4 billion to support 2.3 million foreign nationals from throughout the world who will be on the move toward the U.S. southern border through 17 Latin American countries, and $1.2 billion in 2026. That’s down from 2024’s $1.6 billion and <a href="https://cis.org/Bensman/United-Nations-Hand-Out-Hundreds-Millions-Cash-USBound-Immigrants-2023" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2023’s $1.72 billion</a>.
The 14 U.N. and 230 NGO agencies (<a href="https://www.r4v.info/en/rmrp2025-2026" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a list of these agencies can be found on page 434</a>) will use the funding in 2025 to support 14 different forms of migration or refugee assistance in the hemisphere, including, for instance, $259 million in “cash, voucher assistance and multi-purpose cash assistance” to 390,000 foreign nationals during 2025. That money will be dished out as <a href="https://www.usaid.gov/sites/default/files/2022-11/FY_2021_MPCA_Sector_Update_1.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rechargeable cash debit cards</a>, “<a href="https://emergencymanual.iom.int/cash-based-interventions-cbi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cash in envelopes</a>,” bank transfers, and mobile transfers for whatever migrants might need on the road.
They also call for $134 million in food provisions for 851,600 people, $13.5 million in “humanitarian transportation” to 94,800 foreign nationals, $297 million to 735,000 people for shelter such as hotels and longer-term rental properties, $150 million in health services to 1.4 million people, and millions more for a half dozen other kinds of migration needs on the trails.

Spearheaded in 2019 by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the U.N. International Organization for Migration (IOM), which receive the bulk of their money from the United States, the coordinated RMRP migration support effort initially started to meet the needs of more than seven million Venezuelans who emigrated out of their failing home country. But RMRP planning documents openly acknowledge mission creep to support migrants of all “other nationalities…engaging in transit and onward movements” to the U.S. southern border. In 2023, the U.S. contributed $1.9 billion to the UNHCR, compared to a mere <a href="https://reporting.unhcr.org/sites/default/files/Flexible-Funding-in-2019.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">$377 million in 2019</a>.

The new document notes Trump’s reelection but does not explicitly discuss its 2025-2026 needs in conjunction with Trump’s plans to immediately halt more than three years of an illegal immigration border surge that The New York Times<a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/11/briefing/us-immigration-surge.html"> recently concluded in an analysis</a> was the “largest in U.S. history” and was directly caused by “President Biden’s welcoming immigration policy during his first three years in office.”
The group’s chief U.N. bureaucrat makes an oblique reference to a new negativity in “receiving nations” without naming the United States.
“It is essential to change the narrative that underscores the prevalent negative conception of migration agendas as only a source of problems and difficulties and keep striving for bringing to the fore the positive narrative of the contributions they can provide to receiving communities,” wrote Eduardo Stein, the UN’s Joint Special Representative for Venezuelan Refugees and Migrants in the document’s introduction. 
Left unsaid is exactly how the U.N. and NGOs proposing these large ongoing expenditures really view them in light of the anticipated <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-trump-effect-2-0-illegal-border-crossings-set-to-plummet-on-one-condition">reduction in migration flows</a> expected after Trump’s January 20, 2025 inauguration, when his &#8220;detain-and-expel&#8221; policies quickly replace Biden’s incentivizing catch-and-release policies.
Already, just the prospect of a Trump administration has vastly reduced international migration flows <a href="https://www.latintimes.com/migrant-flow-through-darien-gap-drops-40-panama-closes-trails-wired-fences-570442" target="_blank" rel="noopener">by more than 40 percent</a> through the Colombia-Panama Darien Gap, while many immigrants in Mexico say <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14175103/mexico-migrant-crisis-trump-biden-todd-bensman.html">they’ll return to their home countries</a>.
The omission of straightforward references to the coming U.S. political pivot on illegal immigration suggests that the group likely assumes funding would be used to sustain migrants while Trump policies compel them to wait in third countries, perhaps waiting for – or even facilitating – Trump policy failure or for a future friendlier U.S. presidency.

Regardless of U.N. intent, in the meantime, a potential – even probable – consequence of this continuing level of migration trail support would be to sustain steady pressure on Trump’s border for at least the next two years, perhaps even enough to induce policy failure.
The document seems to suggest some money might fund legal and propaganda operations.
For instance, one activity the group promotes as a high priority is to provide $204 million toward “protection,” topping the list is “legal assistance and counseling” that can counter a regional “shift towards more restrictive and security-focused approaches of managing migration and asylum…,” the document notes on page 77 in a category section titled “Protection.”
The legal assistance and counseling will, it says, reduce risks related to migrant returns to home countries that their advocates would argue were too dangerous, known as “refoulment,” as well as “deportations, and arbitrary and prolonged detentions.” The group will call on academics and human rights organizations in migration trail nations “to ensure visibility of key protection issues affecting refugees and migrants in the region.” Those might include countries the Trump administration plans to diplomatically coerce into helping slow flows.
<h3>A Point Of Contention And Potential Republican Action</h3>
In recent years, the UN-led conglomerate’s migration support efforts along the migration trails have become politically controversial because of the record-smashing traffic flows, especially among Trump supporters and some hardline border security-minded Republican lawmakers. Some saw the U.S. tax money funding the program as driving a self-destructive mass migration crisis that broadly damaged American national interests and advocated that U.S. money for that be pared back.
Republican lawmakers such as Texas Rep. Lance Gooden even <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/6155" target="_blank" rel="noopener">filed a bill to defund the U.N. of U.S. donations</a>, which did not advance when congressional chambers were split between Republicans and Democrats.

But with the trifecta of a White House and both chambers of Congress in Republican hands as of January 20, the prospects for some kind of funding rollback for this kind of U.N. and NGO support seem more likely. Rep. Gooden told The Daily Wire he would try again under the more favorable new circumstances.
“Under the Biden administration, U.S. dollars are being funneled through the United Nation’s IOM into programs that facilitate and encourage illegal migration into our own country,” Rep. Gooden told The Daily Wire for this report. “I will work with President Trump to ensure that no one cent of American money supports the erosion of our sovereignty. We will end this taxpayer funded invasion.”

Dr. Nayla Rush, Senior Researcher at the Center for Immigration and a refugee policy expert, noted that the IOM and UNHCR mission is to assist migrants and refugees in need wherever they are. But as their top funder, the United States has a right to ensure neither organization is encouraging or guiding migrants to illegally enter the United States or submit false asylum claims.
&#8220;The U.S. government should ask for complete transparency and accountability as to where and how both organizations spend US taxpayer money.&#8221;
<h3>Creating Migration Pressure On Trump Or Reducing Suffering?</h3>
In early 2022, UNHCR spokeswoman for Mexico <a href="https://cis.org/Bensman/Mexicos-Deep-South-United-Nations-Explains-Handing-Cash-USBound-Migrants" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Silvia Garduno explained</a> that her agency does not look for or consider evidence of illegal immigration but, rather, regards individuals it helps who are moving through as “vulnerable asylum seekers.”
“UNHCR assistance is based strictly on the humanitarian need of individuals in need of international protection,” she said. “UNHRC supports the authorities by providing individuals information on the right to seek asylum and assists individuals while their asylum applications are in process by, for example, referring them to shelters operated by civil society, providing legal assistance, or providing humanitarian support for food and basic needs for the most vulnerable.

But the group’s own document repeatedly acknowledges knowing that those it helps are moving ever forward over international borders without authorization.
The group is clearly not planning any retreat.
When it started operations in 2019, the conglomerate provided its aid via a network of ad hoc way-stations along known <a href="https://cis.org/Video/Cartels-UN-and-NGOs-Fuel-US-Border-Crisis">smuggling routes</a> from South America to the northern U.S.-Mexico border.
In recent years, however, the U.N. group has plowed investment funds into large multi-purpose structures like a <a href="https://cis.org/Bensman/OneStop-Shop-Illegal-Migration">75,000-square-foot mega-mall</a> just built in Tapachula, Mexico just north of the Guatemala border.
The UNHCR, IOM, and dozens of private often religion-based NGOs scattered around Tapachula, will work alongside one another under one massive roof here – evidently planning a years-long collaboration.

BlackRock announced this week that it was leaving a major climate activist group after Republicans criticized its involvement with the group. 
The company <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-01-09/blackrock-leaves-major-climate-group-amid-wall-street-exodus" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a letter that it would be leaving the Net Zero Asset Managers (NZAM) initiative, an organization of asset managers <a href="https://www.netzeroassetmanagers.org/">committed</a> to “supporting the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner.” At one point, NZAM boasted its members controlled over $57 trillion in assets. 
BlackRock’s announcement comes after 11 Republican attorneys general, led by Texas AG Ken Paxton, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/republican-ags-sue-blackrock-say-it-has-conspired-against-coal-production" target="_blank" rel="noopener">filed a lawsuit</a> in November against the asset manager over its involvement with groups like NZAM. Texas’ lawsuit accused BlackRock of violating antitrust laws by allegedly engaging in a conspiracy with other asset managers to constrict the market for coal. BlackRock has denied the allegations and said the suit is without merit. 
BlackRock’s letter, first obtained by Bloomberg, acknowledged that its involvement with NZAM “caused confusion regarding BlackRock’s practices and subjected us to legal inquiries from various public officials.”
“Our participation in NZAM didn’t impact the way we managed client portfolios,” the company said. “Therefore, our departure doesn’t change the way we develop products and solutions for clients or how we manage their portfolios.”
Despite exiting NZAM, BlackRock said it would “continue to assess material climate-related risks, alongside other investment risks, in delivering for clients.”
NZAM, which also lost the involvement of asset giant Vanguard, <a href="https://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/5077576-blackrock-leaves-net-zero-climate-group/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> it was sad to see BlackRock go.
“We are disappointed to see any investor withdraw, but as a voluntary initiative, we respect any individual decisions signatories take,” NZAM told The Hill. “Climate risk is financial risk. NZAM exists to help investors mitigate these risks and to realise the benefits of the economic transition to net zero.”

Will Hild, the executive director of Consumer’s Research, an organization opposed to the injection of politics into business, told The Daily Wire that the result of companies like BlackRock’s involvement in NZAM was to raise prices for consumers and lower the return for investors. 
“This should be music to the ears of every consumer in the entire country,” he said of BlackRock leaving NZAM. “It’s a good thing for consumers because it’s going to help alleviate some of the inflationary effects of ESG and net zero.”
He attributed BlackRock’s exit to Donald Trump&#8217;s re-election and Paxton&#8217;s lawsuit.

Rep. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/chip-roy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chip Roy</a> (R-TX) demanded answers from the University of Texas on Wednesday over a $50,000 grant it provided to Planned Parenthood to research a sex education program, a letter first shared with The Daily Wire shows. 
Roy’s <a href="https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2025/01/1.8.25-Rep-Roy-Letter-UT-Dean-Dr.-Allan-Cole-3.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">letter</a> was related to a <a href="https://www.usaspending.gov/award/ASST_NON_TP2AH000095_7521/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sub-award</a> of $49,458 given to Planned Parenthood of Illinois by the University of Texas Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work. The university provided the grant out of a $2 million award from the Department of Health and Human Services it was granted for the purpose of evaluating THRIVE, a sexual education and health organization. 
“Planned Parenthood of Illinois is a radical entity and the University of Texas’ association with it violates the conscience of millions of Texans,” Roy wrote to Dean of the Steve Hicks School of Social Work, Allan Cole.
The University of Texas has so far received $526,145 of the promised money from the federal government and has partnered with teams in Illinois, Kansas, and Colorado to evaluate THRIVE.
THRIVE <a href="https://tfyhi.socialwork.utexas.edu/thrive/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">says</a> that it provides “inclusive, trauma-informed sex education to youth” and that its curriculum is “designed to meet the specific needs and concerns of teens and young adults in foster care.”
Roy said that the university’s partnership with Planned Parenthood of Illinois was unacceptable, pointing to the organization&#8217;s <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/planned-parenthood-illinois/patient-resources/gender-affirming-hormone-therapy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">boasts</a> of providing “gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) to transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive folks&#8221; as young as 16 years old.

“Considering that the University of Texas is second in the nation in federal research expenditures among public higher education systems, it is essential that we understand why federal grant recipients are entering into partnerships with abortion and so-called &#8216;gender-affirming care&#8217;— providing organizations and under what circumstances,&#8221; Roy wrote. 
Roy asked that Cole provide documentation on the award and the “rationale” for why Planned Parenthood was chosen. He also asked if the University of Texas had entered into any other funding agreements with any abortion providers. 
The Republican lawmaker also asked whether the sub-award was in accordance with Texas law, which stipulates that public money cannot go toward transgender procedures on children.

At least four people were killed in three states as the South was hit by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/severe-weather" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tornadoes</a> over the weekend, leaving tens of thousands without power.
Tornadoes were reported in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina as a severe storm system bringing strong winds and heavy rain moved through the region on Saturday and Sunday. Two people were killed in Mississippi, one in Texas, and another in North Carolina due to the storms.
As of Monday morning, <a href="https://poweroutage.us/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more than</a> 32,000 customers in Mississippi and 4,000 in Texas were without power, along with thousands more in Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina. Outages in Mississippi at one point topped 100,000, according to Republican Governor Tate Reeves. 
Reeves also announced that there were fatalities in Adams County and Lowndes County.
“The state of Mississippi will continue to monitor the situation and respond as necessary,” Reeves <a href="https://www.facebook.com/tatereeves/posts/pfbid02rdPaubGBCwhBxnChZUTL3t1o1x5NbekxcSLWB3Zrvak8zCNaeZAfNRi9PhBjomiql" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Sunday. “Thank you to all of the emergency managers, first responders, and road and line crews who are working hard to help their fellow Mississippians.”
One church in Meadville, Mississippi, was almost <a href="https://www.foxweather.com/weather-news/tornado-strikes-mississippi-church-second-time-90-years" target="_blank" rel="noopener">entirely destroyed</a> as a tornado ripped through. Two church members were inside at the time but were not injured. 
&#8220;After all this, there&#8217;s one bare spot in this church, about a 6-foot diameter, that has a clean floor,&#8221; one of the congregants of O&#8217;Zion Church who survived the storm told Fox Weather. &#8220;That&#8217;s where she and I were laying, in that clean spot. After it was over with, we stood up and …. we didn&#8217;t have a splinter on us. We didn&#8217;t have a speck of dust on us.&#8221;
In Texas, a fatality from the storms was reported in Brazoria County, which is located south of Houston. The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one person had been killed and four injured after a tornado touchdown somewhere between Liverpool and Hillcrest Village on Saturday. 
Footage posted online showed the tornado going through the Houston area.

Law enforcement <a href="https://www.wbtv.com/2024/12/29/troopers-respond-crash-rowan-iredell-county-line/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> 70-year-old Matthew Teeple of Tennessee was killed when a tree fell on his truck.

President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/biden-administration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden&#8217;s administration</a> agreed in court on Friday that it would stop selling off materials that were purchased for construction of the southern border wall.
The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-biden-races-to-sell-off-border-wall-parts-before-trump-takes-office">broke the story</a> earlier this month that the administration was trying to sabotage the incoming Trump administration by selling off materials at cheap prices.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton <a href="https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/news/releases/attorney-general-ken-paxton-blocks-biden-administration-disposing-wall-materials-president-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the victory in a statement on Friday evening after he filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration &#8220;to uncover potential legal violations&#8221; the administration was committing by selling off the materials.
“We have successfully blocked the Biden Administration from disposing of any further border wall materials before President Trump takes office,” Paxton said. “This follows our major victory forcing Biden to build the wall, and we will hold his Administration accountable for illegally subverting our Nation’s border security until their very last day in power, especially where their actions are clearly motivated by a desire to thwart President-elect Trump’s immigration agenda.”
The Biden administration agreed to an order that prevents it from disposing of any further border wall materials over the next 30 days—allowing President Trump to use those materials as he sees fit.

The order is enforceable by the court if the administration violates it.
Paxton&#8217;s office added:

Videos obtained exclusively by The Daily Wire from a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent earlier this month show unused sections of the wall being hauled away on the back of flatbed trucks from a section of the border just south of Tucson, a hotspot for illegal crossings during the Biden administration. The agent estimates that up to half a mile per day of unused border wall is being moved.
“They are taking it from three stations: Nogales, Tucson, and Three Points,” the border patrol agent, who was granted anonymity to speak freely, told The Daily Wire. “The goal is to move all of it off the border before Christmas.”

A doctor was indicted by federal authorities this month for an alleged massive child porn ring, almost exactly three years after The Daily Wire exposed how high schools across the country were referring students to an apparent pervert who offered a “scholarship” and “grooming.”
Philip Taylor Sobash was arrested last Friday in Austin, Texas, according to an <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.tnmd.102213/gov.uscourts.tnmd.102213.3.0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">indictment</a> unsealed by the Middle District of Tennessee federal court December 13. The FBI concluded this year that Sobash was a notorious child pornographer called “DiscreetGent,” who was responsible for a “collection of sexually explicit images and videos of about 70 young women and girls.”
The Daily Wire reported on December 15, 2021, that a large number of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-high-schools-steering-students-to-alleged-porn-producer-for-scholarship" target="_blank" rel="noopener">high schools were putting students directly in touch with Sobash,</a> despite his having been sued at least four times over his alleged sexual conduct and stripped of his medical license in Arkansas.
In October 2021, Sobash put out a press release saying he “decided to contribute to the next generation of doctors via an effective mentorship program,” that he wanted to “<a href="https://apnews.com/press-release/prcom/medical-schools-b7236c3bbf0a93a3b3803843f32edcd3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">groom</a> and encourage” students, and that “mentoring goes beyond what most medical students think about the medical field.” He also set up a website advertising a $1,000 “Dr. Philip Sobash Scholarship” to “give back to the future medical doctors of America.”
Fort Vancouver High School in Vancouver, Washington, instructed high schoolers “with an interest in becoming a medical doctor” to email Sobash their full name, bio, phone number, and address for a chance at $1,000. A sampling of the many other high schools promoting the scholarship include Pearl River High School in New York, the North Ridgeville City Schools in Ohio, the Prairie du Chien Area School District in Wisconsin,  the Starmont Community School District in Iowa, the Vinton County, Ohio schools, and Alfred Ely Beach High School in Savannah, Georgia.

At the time, red flags about Sobash were evident. His medical license was surrendered in Arkansas on October 7, 2021, and numerous lawsuits had been filed by women alleging that he exploited them into producing sexual material after luring them with promises of money, then sold it online without their consent. The Daily Wire described four lawsuits that were dropped after apparent cash settlements.
When Sobash practiced at the White River Health System in Batesville, Arkansas and the hospital posted about him online in 2020, numerous women took to the comments section to say he was a predator. One girl from Tennessee wrote that “he tried to fly me out to have sex with him at 16! had to get fbi involved bc he posted nude pics &amp; vids of me at 15!! bc i wouldn’t go see him. not to mention, with ALL my personal info. i’m 20 now &amp; still receive death threats, he’s ruined my life forever.”
That may have been the case that triggered federal charges. Prosecutors said between October 2018 and May 2019, while Sobash lived in Austin, he met a minor from Tennessee on a website that connects women with “sugar daddies.” She told him she was a minor and sent a photo of her driver&#8217;s license, <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/texas-man-indicted-child-sexual-exploitation-charges" target="_blank" rel="noopener">prosecutors said</a>. Sobash allegedly sent her thousands of dollars and requested that she send him sexually explicit images of herself. She sent hundreds of such images, and although Sobash promised they would be private, he distributed them online; they were sold online with her first and last name, which led to others contacting her and attempting to blackmail her into producing more child sexual abuse material, they alleged.
Sobash is <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.tnmd.102213/gov.uscourts.tnmd.102213.3.1.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">charged</a> with sexual exploitation of a minor, coercion and enticement of a minor, and receipt of child pornography, facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years on the first charge, 10 years on the second, and five years on the third, in addition to a maximum $750,000 fine.
The <a href="https://www.fbi.gov/how-we-can-help-you/victim-services/seeking-victim-information/seeking-victim-information-in-philip-sobash-discreet-gent-investigation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FBI has asked</a> other victims of Sobash to come forward. “The FBI believes he primarily targeted females between the ages of 15 and 25 from January 2014 through his arrest in December 2024” and that “Numerous victims have reported that after sending sexually explicit images to Sobash, they would be threatened and coerced into producing more imagery,” it said. “The FBI has found dozens of victims&#8217; sexually explicit images for sale online. Sobash used various monikers online, including DiscreetGent, Discreet Gentleman, Discreet Spoiling, Sugar Daddy, Interesting Fun, Honest and Fun, and Excited Guy.”
“Numerous victims have settled civil lawsuits against Sobash and may be bound by non-disclosure agreements. Such agreements are likely unenforceable if designed to prevent victims from reporting crimes to law enforcement,” it said.
Some of the schools did not respond promptly when The Daily Wire notified them in 2021 that they were putting high schoolers in touch with an alleged abuser. Craig Daughtry, the principal of Alfred Ely Beach High School, and Kurt Hetager, communications director for the Savannah-Chatham County (Georgia) Public School System, did not respond to an email whose subject line was “Urgent media request – school website directing students to contact alleged pornographer,” and the school was still advertising the scholarship when the story ran.

A Texas public school district superintendent informed parents that the Bible was removed from the district’s libraries because it violated a state House bill requiring library books to be expunged if they contained “sexually explicit material.”
<a href="https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/88R/billtext/pdf/HB00900F.pdf#navpanes=0">HB 900</a>, the READER Act (Restricting Explicit and Adult Designated Educational Resources), was passed by the 88th Texas Legislature, signed into law by Republican Governor Greg Abbott, and implemented on September 1, 2023. It <a href="https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/88R/billtext/pdf/HB00900F.pdf#navpanes=0">states</a>, “a library material vendor must perform a contextual analysis of the material to determine whether the material describes, depicts, or portrays sexual conduct in a way that is patently offensive.”
Canyon Independent School District Superintendent Darryl Flusche wrote an email to parents earlier this week in which he <a href="https://b2161369.smushcdn.com/2161369/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/canyon-isd-email-from-superintendent-re-bible.jpg?lossy=2&amp;strip=1&amp;webp=1">stated</a>:

“There are 30 titles available in the Canyon Junior High library that are Bible stories or portions of the Bible,” he pointed out. “Additionally, if any student would like to have a Bible, we have strong connections with local churches that are happy to donate a Bible upon request. We are more than willing to assist a student who would like access to a Bible by arranging this from one of our partnering churches.”

On December 9, one concerned mother with two children in the school district <a href="https://www.christianpost.com/news/bible-removed-from-texas-school-district-due-to-state-law-banning.html">stated</a> that it “seems absurd to me that the Good Book was thrown out with the bad books. &#8230; In a day when we are needing security guards and bulletproof windows and doors, I think having the Word of God available to our children cannot only be preventative to violence, but also provide comfort and a sense of security in a chaotic world.”
“It just makes sense to have the Word of God in our school library,” she continued. “After all, it is the book of wisdom. It is the bestselling book of all time; it is historically accurate, scientifically sound, and most importantly, life-changing.”

A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/venezuela" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Venezuelan</a> migrant was charged and arrested after he allegedly lit his house on fire while his three children were trapped inside the building.
Pedro Luis Parra Pulgar, a 46-year-old Venezuelan national, is alleged to have purposefully lit his home on fire while his three children, ages 15, 15, and three were trapped inside the Fulshear, Texas, residence, located just outside of Houston.
The two 15-year-old children escaped the inferno before authorities arrived, with police officers rescuing the three-year-old child. The child had to be airlifted to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and has since been released from the hospital. Pulgar sustained minor injuries in the fire.
Pulgar was <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/crime/2024/12/16/venezuelan-migrant-charged-attempted-murder-after-allegedly-setting-texas-house-fire-three-children-trapped-inside/">arrested</a> and charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of arson and is now being held in Fort Bend County Jail with a bond of $2.25 million. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed a detainer on Pulgar, indicating that he could be illegally present in the United States.
The horrific incident provoked a response from Texas Governor Greg Abbott. &#8220;A Venezuelan immigrant – legal status unknown – is accused of setting a Texas house on fire with three children inside,&#8221; Abbott said in a post on X. &#8220;He better spend the rest of his life behind bars.&#8221;

The alleged attempt by Pulgar to murder his three children comes amid a wave of alleged migrant crimes. Just last week another migrant was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/guatemalan-human-smuggler-arrested-for-mass-casualty-event-hid-out-in-colony-ridge">also arrested</a> outside of Houston, with this individual, a Guatemalan national named Jorge Agapito Ventura, being apprehended by federal agents over his alleged involvement in a human smuggling operation.
Ventura is believed to be one of the illegal alien smugglers involved with a smuggling operation that led to the death of more than 50 migrants when a trailer truck crashed three years ago in Chiapas, Mexico.

Texas Attorney General <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/ken-paxton" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ken Paxton</a> has filed a lawsuit against a New York abortionist, accusing her of unlawfully mailing abortion drugs to a woman in Texas.
Those abortion drugs landed the mother in the emergency room after causing her to hemorrhage, the filing says — and they ended the life of her unborn child. Paxton is asking the court to fine the abortionist $100,000 for each violation of the law, including practicing without a license, and mailing abortion drugs.
“In this case, an out-of-state doctor violated the law and caused serious harm to this patient,&#8221; Paxton said in a statement announcing the lawsuit. &#8220;This doctor prescribed abortion-inducing drugs—unauthorized, over telemedicine—causing her patient to end up in the hospital with serious complications.&#8221;
&#8220;In Texas, we treasure the health and lives of mothers and babies, and this is why out-of-state doctors may not illegally and dangerously prescribe abortion-inducing drugs to Texas residents,” he added.
The lawsuit targets abortionist Margaret Daley Carpenter, who is not a licensed Texas physician and is not authorized to practice telemedicine in Texas, where abortions of unborn babies are prohibited under almost all circumstances, except if the life or health of the mother is at risk. The law also prohibits physicians or medical suppliers from sending abortion drugs into the state.
&#8220;Dr. Margaret Daley Carpenter (Carpenter) of New York violates Texas law by providing abortion-inducing drugs to Texans through telehealth,&#8221; the filing states. &#8220;Carpenter is not a licensed Texas physician, nor is she authorized to practice telemedicine in the State of Texas. The Court should enjoin Carpenter from continuing to operate outside the bounds of the law and impose civil penalties for her violation of Texas law.&#8221;

Carpenter is the co-medical director and founder of the Abortion Coalition for Telemedicine (ACT), an organization promoting abortion drugs. Her biography notes that she has been aborting babies both surgically and medically since 1999.
&#8220;About mid-May 2024, a 20-year-old female resident of Collin County, Texas became pregnant,&#8221; the filing states. &#8220;The mother of the unborn child did not communicate her pregnancy to the biological father of the unborn child. The mother did not have any life threatening physical condition aggravated by, caused by, or arising from the pregnancy that placed her at risk of death or any serious risk of substantial impairment.&#8221;
&#8220;The mother proceeded to utilize telemedicine or telehealth services and received, through Carpenter, two abortion-inducing drugs or prescriptions,&#8221; the complaint continues. &#8220;The first was a box for the drug mifepristone, 200 mg, followed by the &#8216;#1&#8217; and the directions to take 1 tablet by mouth and to &#8216;take this medication first.&#8217; The second was a pill bottle of misoprostol 200 mcg with directions to take 4 tablets (i.e., 800 mcg.) after the mifepristone.&#8221;
The FDA&#8217;s approved mifepristone doses are 200 mg of mifepristone by mouth, then 800 mcg taken in the cheek pouch 24 to 48 hours after that, and follow up with a health care provider about seven to 14 days later.
The mother asked her child&#8217;s father to take her to the hospital because of severe bleeding on July 16, 2024, the suit says. The father only learned that she had been pregnant at the hospital: &#8220;After the mother was seen by health care professionals at a hospital in Collin County, Texas, the biological father of the unborn child was told that the mother of the unborn child was experiencing a hemorrhage or severe bleeding as she &#8216;had been&#8217; nine weeks pregnant before losing the child.&#8221;
He concluded that the child&#8217;s mother had purposefully hid her pregnancy from him, &#8220;and he further suspected that the biological mother had in fact done something to contribute to the miscarriage or abortion of the unborn child.&#8221; He discovered the abortion drugs when they returned home.
&#8220;Carpenter’s conduct violates the Texas Health and Safety Code’s prohibition on prescribing abortion-inducing drugs via telemedicine,&#8221; the complaint states. &#8220;Carpenter’s knowing and continuing violations of Texas law places women and unborn children in Texas at risk. Carpenter sees Texas patients via telehealth and prescribes them abortion inducing medication.&#8221;
New York <a href="https://www.nysenate.gov/newsroom/articles/2023/shelley-b-mayer/new-york-times-new-york-passes-bill-shield-abortion">previously passed legislation</a> that is intended to provide legal protection for doctors to send abortion pills out of state. So this new lawsuit is the first attempt at challenging the state laws against one another.
SBSA Pro-Life America&#8217;s director of legal affairs, Katie Daniel, celebrated the lawsuit in a statement that condemned New York&#8217;s law, urging other pro-life leaders to follow Paxton&#8217;s example.
“For the mail-order abortion industry that sells high-risk drugs without any in-person doctor visit, life is cheap and ‘DIY’ abortion highly profitable,&#8221; she argued. &#8220;Thanks to extreme blue-state politicians who shield them, abortionists in states like New York openly violate the protective laws of pro-life states, killing unborn children and sending women to the emergency room in dire condition – all while sitting comfortably thousands of miles away.&#8221;

“Trump made clear during his campaign that he intends to finish construction of the border wall, making use of the materials that have <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/investigations/trump-harris-border-wall-arizona-rusting-2021-rcna173094">remained untouched at the border</a> since President Joe Biden took office in 2021. If the material brought to the border during his first term is sold off, it will significantly delay any progress on one of Trump’s flagship campaign promises at the border,” The Daily Wire reported on Thursday, adding:

We’ll buy it.”
“Dan, don’t drive up the cost,” Ingraham quipped. “Don’t drive up the cost. It’s only five bucks apiece of the wall.”
“I know, and I will go in and buy it all,” Patrick replied. “I’m not going to drive up the —”
“What does this tell you about the Biden people,” Ingraham interjected. “They’re essentially greenlighting – they want more people coming in.”
“I told you, they’re despicable,” Patrick charged. “They’re despicable what they’re doing to the American people. And the American people obviously aren’t gonna tolerate it, that’s why they were thrown out. But the idea – we’ve been trying to buy this wall from them for four years and they wouldn’t sell it to us.”

President-elect Donald Trump&#8217;s incoming border czar is planning on using a 1,400-acre site in Texas to stage the administration&#8217;s plans to conduct mass deportations of illegal aliens.
The state of Texas purchased the land earlier this year in Starr County, which is in the Rio Grande Valley sector near the U.S.-Mexico border.
Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham said in a letter to Trump last month that her office was &#8220;fully prepared to enter into an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or the United States Border Patrol to allow a facility to be built for the processing, detention, and coordination of the largest deportation of violent criminals in the nation’s history.&#8221;
When asked by Dr. Phil McGraw on &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVyXBDWmM68">Dr. Phil Primetime</a>&#8221; if the administration had &#8220;a plan to utilize&#8221; the land, Homan said: &#8220;I’m writing the plan as we speak.&#8221;

Homan said that illegal aliens who are taken to the site will be &#8220;moving in and out,&#8221; not staying there for extended periods of time.
&#8220;One day we have a flight to the El Salvador nations,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Next day we have a flight to Asia. So we’ll be moving through, but I think there’s 1,400 acres of land. That saves us from acquiring that land. The government never buys things real fast. And when we do, we overpay for it. So having this from the state of Texas is great.&#8221;
