Cory Pesaturo isn’t the typical musician in the crowd at the Grammys. 
Firstly, He’s a three-time accordion world champion and maybe the only attendee known for his work with the box-shaped instrument popular in various folk traditions. Secondly, and perhaps making him more unique in that audience, he wasn’t infatuated with Bad Bunny and the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/billie-eilish-roundly-mocked-for-stolen-land-comments-at-grammys">land acknowledgement virtue signaling</a> by millionaire celebrities.
Pesaturo shared his thoughts on his Instagram stories on February 1 as he sat in the crowd at the awards. One of the posts in question was on Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny, real name Benito Ocasio, who said during his speech: “Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say: ICE out. We are not savage. We are not animals. We are not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans … the hate gets more powerful with more hate.” 
“The first time in history an album with zero English wins the most important award, Album of the Year,” Pesaturo’s post said. “The guy who hates America… cheered on by those who hate America.”
A few Instagram stories watched by approximately 100-150 followers were enough to get him axed from Festa Italiana, which is scheduled for June 6-7 in San Francisco&#8217;s North Beach. It’s an annual, all-ages celebration hosted by The SFIAC Foundation, a <a href="https://sfiacfoundation.org/">nonprofit</a> that’s “focused on community events, revitalization and engagement that enhances the Italian culture and history of North Beach.”
Another post defended the idea of colonization, suggesting that without it, Native Americans would still be stuck with ancient methods. 
&#8220;Only a hundred to one hundred fifty people watch my stories,&#8221; Pesaturo insisted during an interview with The Daily Wire. 
After Pesaturo posted his Grammy commentary, a member of the festival&#8217;s board was rumored to be unhappy with the post. His closest contact at the festival called to break the news: they weren&#8217;t going to have him perform as planned at the 2026 show.
He claims the reasoning for his cancellation came down to fear from the person in charge.
&#8220;He doesn&#8217;t want to deal with the bullsh*t of the people on his board that do not want to hire me because of… what I could say,&#8221; Pesaturo explained. &#8220;They&#8217;re worried you&#8217;re going to come to the festival, not have a good time, and then start attacking us.&#8221;
Pesaturo&#8217;s cancellation is just the latest example of how the woke mob operates, not through official channels or public debate, but through back-channel pressure on people who would rather avoid conflict. The festival organizer wasn&#8217;t willing to defend Pesaturo. He preferred to cater to the ones who make the most noise.
Pesaturo, who describes himself as &#8220;anti-leftist&#8221; and “more libertarian” rather than conservative or Republican, has always been careful about where and how he expresses political opinions. 
&#8220;I do not believe in that idea at all,&#8221; he said about celebrities using their platforms to push political views. &#8220;Do you want the waitress coming over to give you French toast to say, oh, before I give you this, I want to tell you my opinion on abortion? Nobody would agree to that.&#8221;
&#8220;So I never say anything social or political at a concert,” he continued. “You will never find a clip of me saying anything remotely controversial there.&#8221; 
The only place he posts opinion content is on Instagram stories, which automatically disappear after 24 hours and are viewed by a tiny fraction of his followers.
The musician expressed shock that Italians of all people would punish him for expressing mainstream conservative viewpoints since that demographic leans heavily to the right of center. 
&#8220;Italians came here with nothing, with no welfare … were discriminated against. And it&#8217;s the ultimate pull yourself up by your bootstraps legacy that Italians came here,&#8221; Pesaturo told The Daily Wire. &#8220;So they&#8217;re mostly conservative. They hate free money going out. They hate paying taxes.&#8221;
Organizers for the festival did not return The Daily Wire’s request for comment.
The musician is particularly upset that this happened with Festa Italiana. Pesaturo mentioned another festival he headlines annually that’s &#8220;as left as it gets,” mentioning how he has no problems there despite having opposite political views compared to almost everyone involved. &#8220;The head of the festival is pretty left. And we&#8217;re very good friends. And I&#8217;m the headliner every year.&#8221;
When I asked if he would change anything he posted, his answer was unequivocal: &#8220;No, I mean, this is what I told him. I said I will not be silenced. Especially when everyone in my industry is forcing things upon people.&#8221;
&#8220;He just didn&#8217;t want to deal with [the drama]. It&#8217;s kind of the same story,&#8221; Pesaturo said. &#8220;They don&#8217;t want to deal with the woke bullsh** around them. So instead of fighting, they just say, yeah, we&#8217;re going to bow to them.&#8221;
And that&#8217;s how a world-class musician got canceled from an Italian festival for Instagram stories seen by about 100 people. It’s because even when conservatives are in power, standing up to the woke mob is often seen as more trouble than it’s worth.

We define everything we do as love and everything you do as hate. So we’re actually the good guys. Did you know that?
Did you know that when the libs redefined marriage for basically the first time anywhere in human history, they did so in such a way that excludes mothers from their children’s families — or alternately excludes fathers from families — and leads to all sorts of horrible things, up to and including creating children for the purpose of denying them their natural mother and father? This is like when Anthony Kennedy decided to abdicate his responsibility to interpret the law as a Supreme Court justice. Instead, he decided to write cheap romantic poetry that is fitting for an eighth-grade English class. He decided that his interpretation of the Constitution was going to find a right to privacy, just as he earlier, in an abortion case, had found a right to define the sweet mystery of life somewhere in the Constitution.

And they say, Look, we support mystery, we support love, we support life.
That’s the key here. Because when your lib friends send that meme around — hate is worse than love, love beats hate — how could you get mad at that? 
At that point, you should tell them that you are pro-life. And they are angry at people who are pro-life. How? Imagine being against life and thinking you’re the good guy.
And what would they say? They’d say, No, no, no, but you’re not really pro-life. You’re anti-choice. You want to control women’s bodies.
They would use all of their own silly euphemisms.
That’s when you say to them: Okay, before we get into the abortion issue, I just want to point out you have granted me the premise. You have accepted the premise that sometimes people use words in ways that can be misleading or tell a partial truth, or at the very least can be euphemistic. You’ve granted that point, right? Okay, great. So you don’t like my phrase “pro-life”? I think pro-life is an honest phrase that accurately depicts what we’re talking about. But you dispute that. Okay, fine.
Then let’s dig into the real substance of it. I support the law coming in and restricting women from going to a medical professional to kill her baby. That’s what we’re talking about. You want to get past the euphemisms and the slogans? That’s what we’re talking about. And what you support is women being able to kill their babies in defense of their own disordered autonomy. Right? That’s what we’re talking about.
With marriage, you support excluding mothers or alternately fathers from marriage and denying babies their natural mothers or fathers. Okay. That’s what you support, along with other acts that we don’t even need to get into when it comes to gay marriage. I support that babies have a demonstrated right to their mothers and their fathers.
Nevertheless, I think you will find that the libs love to promote all their slogans: “love beats hate,” “love is love,” “love wins,” or whatever. I think you will find conservatives, on the other hand, are more than happy to put the slogans aside and talk about the real issue.
The libs will focus on more and more hyperbolic and preposterous slogans. They will do whatever they can to avoid looking at the real issue. They will only speak in euphemisms, and that very fact tells you everything you need to know.
Yes, all politicians use slogans, but the way they use them tells you everything you need to know about the issues.
Conservatives use slogans and euphemisms to try to convey the truth. The Left uses slogans and euphemisms to deny the truth.

Kid Rock has addressed speculation that he was lip syncing during his performance of “Bawitdaba” at TPUSA’s All-American Halftime Show, which was aired at the same time as the Super Bowl Halftime show on Sunday.
The country rock star said the problem was that he was “out of sync” with his DJ. Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, discussed what happened during an <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/video/6389008403112">appearance</a> on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday night.
“My DJ, who actually raps that song with me, was not lit up,” Ritchie explained to Ingraham. He said it would have been easier for the TPUSA team to sync up the vocals if they were using a pre-recorded version of the song, and the fact that it was slightly off timing-wise is proof that he was really singing.
“&#8230;I’m jumping around the stage like a rabid monkey, rapping my song, and I’m taking breaths, and my DJ is filling in the other parts of it,” he went on. “I even told them when I saw the rough cut, I was like, you guys got to work on that sync. It’s off. So it was just a syncing issue that they had, and I know they tried to get it right. It was very difficult.”
Ritchie also tweeted out a more direct response to those who were speculating that he had lip-synced, calling the claims &#8220;fake news.&#8221;

The TPUSA All-American Halftime Show outperformed all expectations. Millions of people tuned into the YouTube livestream, Charlie Kirk’s YouTube channel, and other partner sites streaming it, including DailyWire+.
It was pitched as an alternative for viewers who weren’t interested in watching Super Bowl Halftime headliner Bad Bunny, who only sings in Spanish and has expressed controversial views about President Trump and ICE enforcing immigration laws.
Ritchie also said he wasn’t overly impressed with Bad Bunny’s halftime performance.
“Like most people, I didn’t understand any of it,” the singer said. “I saw there’s a lot of dancers and a lot of big to-do stuff. And, you know, he said he wanted to have a dance party; it looked like he had one.”
“Not my cup of tea, but I don’t fault that kid for doing the Super Bowl, getting in front of a global audience,” Ritchie added. “I fault the NFL for putting him in that position and Turning Point for having to come out and have an alternative for people to watch. You know, it’s just — poor kid.”
President Trump also had a negative reaction to Bad Bunny’s performance on Sunday.
“The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!” Trump wrote. “It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence,” the president posted on social media.
“Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World. This ‘Show’ is just a ‘slap in the face’ to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day — including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History!”

The Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks are in for a hefty California tax bill following their 29-13 drubbing of the New England Patriots on Sunday, with some players expected to pay more in taxes than their Super Bowl earnings.
Each Seahawks player receives an individual bonus of $178,000 as negotiated by the NFL Players Association, while Patriots players will each receive $108,000.
Both Super Bowl teams are subject to California’s notorious “Jock Tax” imposed on out-of-state professional athletes, which will tax both respective teams on income from the eight “duty days” spent practicing and playing in the Golden State.
Jeffrey Degner, a research fellow in economics at the American Institute for Economic Research, told FOX Business that this tax alone will cut the average player’s Super Bowl bonuses in half at a minimum — without even taking into account additional state and federal taxes.
&#8220;What that means here is that the winning team, their take-home pay will be approximately $86,000. If you&#8217;re on the losing side, the take-home would be about $49,800,&#8221; Degner <a href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/super-bowl-lx-players-lose-thousands-californias-jock-tax-athlete-income">told</a> FOX Business.
Each “duty day” includes any day spent in California practicing, participating in team meetings, traveling, playing in a game, or doing media events. The state taxes each player by applying the ratio of their duty days in the state to their total duty days overall, then claiming that share of the player’s income.
&#8220;The players have a really complex tax situation where they can have 10 or more different states that they&#8217;re having to file taxes for,&#8221; Degner said. &#8220;This is why a lot of these young players, it&#8217;s really important for teams to settle them in with sharp financial advisors and tax advisors so that they don&#8217;t lose their shirts, so to speak.&#8221;
Sport business reporter Kurt Badenhausen <a href="https://www.sportico.com/law/analysis/2026/patriots-seahawks-super-bowl-2026-california-taxes-1234883101/">estimates</a> that Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold, with 8+ duty days taxed out of his massive three-year, $105 million deal with Seattle and a $178,000 bonus, will pay $249,000 in California state taxes.
Stanford University Finance Professor and Hoover Institution Fellow Joshua Rauh commented on the numbers, sarcastically complimenting California&#8217;s tax system for ensuring the &#8220;incentive to win is preserved&#8221; by taxing the Super Bowl loser more than the winner.
&#8220;If his team wins, Darnold will receive $178k and pay $249k to California in taxes for his time here, losing $71k. If his team loses he gets $103k and still pays over $235k in taxes, losing $135k. I presume California is declaring victory, as his incentive to win is preserved,&#8221; Rauh <a href="https://x.com/joshrauh/status/2020208377515941905?s=20">quipped</a>.
California has the highest state income tax rate in the nation, while several states with NFL stadiums — including Tennessee, Texas, and Florida — impose no income tax on their residents or visitors, leading many to question whether future Super Bowls should be held in California.

There is something that goes on in American culture that is highly irritating to me.
If you notice everyone celebrating something that is politically Left-leaning in nature, people tell you that you’re crazy for pointing it out or being upset about it.
I&#8217;m not particularly upset by halftime shows at the Super Bowl, because in the grand scheme of life, who cares? It is not a big deal.
But the reason that some people are concerned or upset today about this year’s halftime show is because of what happened at the end of the performance.
I am not a Bad Bunny fan. I don&#8217;t know whether he&#8217;s a good bunny, a bad bunny, or the worst bunny. I have no gradation, no scale upon which to judge the badness of his bunnyness.
I do not know his music. I didn&#8217;t understand a word he was saying. As a person who does not traffic or listen to his music, I had no idea what he was saying during the halftime show.
I will admit that it felt to me like being in a car crash, and there was a person walking toward me, telling me that I needed to get out my insurance card in a language I did not understand.

<h3>The Pros</h3>
The show was beautifully produced. The couple getting married and mid-show, the kids falling asleep on the chairs was very, very charming. I have no problem with a lot of Spanish being in the show, because that&#8217;s what a lot of people in the United States speak; that&#8217;s totally cool. A lot of people in the United States speak a lot of second languages. I remember a few years ago Shakira and J. Lo did the halftime show, and I believe they did a song in Spanish. There are tens of millions of Latino Americans who contribute in unbelievable ways to our common project as Americans.
<h3>The Cons</h3>
First: No English at all, so people who don&#8217;t speak Spanish couldn’t understand what was going on. He could have been saying anything, and I would have had no idea what he was saying.
Second: To pretend that Bad Bunny is an apolitical figure is silly.
Bad Bunny is not an apolitical figure. He has never pretended to be an apolitical figure. When he showed himself on the Grammys and gave a Grammy to a little kid who looked precisely like an ICE detainee, don&#8217;t tell me that wasn&#8217;t on purpose. Of course it was.
But the major problem for me came at the very end of the halftime show. Bad Bunny walked through and announced every single country in the Western Hemisphere, starting geographically with Argentina and finishing with Canada. As he did, a bunch of people followed him carrying flags from various other countries that were not the United States.
Here is the problem: One of the truly amazing virtues of America is that you can both assimilate to the values of the United States and still keep the flavor of your old culture. One of the great things about America over the course of the last couple of hundred years is that many cultures merged into the gigantic stream that is the United States, which is why every American has eaten Mexican food, Italian food, and Chinese food.
And that&#8217;s wonderful. That&#8217;s great. The fact that you have weddings where you have people dancing salsa, and you have weddings where you have people dancing the hora, is wonderful.
I don&#8217;t think a whole lot of Americans object to that.
The salient question is this: Are you showing gratitude for America being unique? That’s why people focused on that part of the show.
Where was Bad Bunny&#8217;s gratitude?
There have been other shows where he&#8217;s refused to stand up for the national anthem. He is rich and famous because of the United States. He is living in splendor because of the United States. He&#8217;s one of the greatest recipients of American largesse ever.
If you&#8217;re born in Puerto Rico, you&#8217;re American. If you&#8217;re born in America, that is the greatest privilege that you can receive.
So, it is my opinion that you should show some gratitude for America being unique. It seems to me that American flags should have been all over the place in the middle of this demonstration.
This is something the political Left does that is totally wrong.
It&#8217;s astonishing to me. The political Left has the opportunity to grab the upper hand culturally with a lot of people and simultaneously celebrate the country. He could have done this entire show almost identically, with American flags everywhere, saying America means that you can have salsa dancing at your wedding, but that&#8217;s what&#8217;s amazing about America. You can do all that and still be an American who loves football and still be an American.
Football is a uniquely American sport. You can still be an American who is doing all the American things, and you can also enjoy these cultural variants.
This United Nations routine was not a celebration of America or a celebration of cultures that coexist peacefully in America.
His attempt to say we are all Americans by making some sort of pedantic geographic point that the Americas encompass the continents of North America and South America was silly. No one sees it that way.
When people say American, they believe that you are talking about the United States — as they should. Football is an American event. It is not the world&#8217;s biggest event. It is America&#8217;s biggest event. Not many people in Japan watch the Super Bowl.
This was not the World Cup. This performance at the World Cup or the Olympics would have made perfect sense because those are international events with a bunch of different countries.
What I am concerned about is the innate argument that is being made, that the greatness of America somehow must be subsumed under the rubric of “All countries are awesome, and America is somehow equivalent in some way to other countries.”
We are not. America is exceptional. It&#8217;s unique.
And ignoring that message is un-American.

A Super Bowl commercial that features Amazon’s Ring doorbell camera triggered tremendous backlash online, with many viewers worrying that it glorifies mass surveillance.
The &#8220;Be A Hero In Your Neighborhood&#8221; ad begins with a video of a young girl reunited with her dog before jumping to a fictionalized preview of when her family pet went missing. Ring founder Jamie Siminoff explains during the ad that 10 million dogs go missing every year. The clip then cuts into a montage featuring missing dog posters stapled to telephone poles.
The commercial then shows the family using &#8220;Search Party” from Ring, which “uses AI to help families find lost dogs.&#8221;
“Since launch, more than a dog a day has been reunited with their family,” Siminoff continues as a neighborhood of Ring doorbell cameras scans and analyzes the dogs wandering by. &#8220;Be a hero in your neighborhood with Search Party. Available to everyone, for free, right now.&#8221;

Social media users quickly noted the possible downside of all doorbell cameras being used for surveillance. 
“This [Ring] camera commercial played at #SuperBowl is something out of a dystopian thriller. Who would ever install these cameras after this? CREEPY AF!” one person <a href="https://x.com/leovanstaden/status/2020932261399626205">replied</a>. 
&#8220;Y’all, this Ring Doorbell Camera commercial was creepy as can be. They are not even hiding it anymore,&#8221; another commenter <a href="https://x.com/SollyinTexas/status/2020726405164626421">wrote</a>.
A third commenter <a href="https://x.com/BridgetPhetasy/status/2020681374261264861">echoed</a>, &#8220;Ring search party is terrifying and what’s most terrifying is that we opted into this like f**king idiots.&#8221;
“This is a huge problem disguised as a solution,” one of the YouTube comments says.

In the weeks preceding the Super Bowl, the prevailing narrative was that conservatives and Christians objected to Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny headlining the Super Bowl halftime show because he occasionally wears dresses and performs solely in Spanish — but a closer look at his lyrics tell another tale entirely.
The Daily Wire&#8217;s own Megan Basham shared screenshots of some of Bad Bunny&#8217;s lyrics in an X post, most of which were graphic depictions of body parts, sex acts, drug use, and drug use during sex acts.
&#8220;These are the most obscene lyrics ever to be performed at a Super Bowl half time. And you have professing Christians in the Kentucky senate and at America’s most recognized evangelical magazine saying Christians should have embraced and celebrated this to show love and to show that we are welcoming. Also, the kids would get a &#8216;kick&#8217; out of hearing this Spanish,&#8221; Basham commented.
And while some argued that Bad Bunny had not performed the songs posted by Basham in their entirety — and had thus not delivered some of the most obscene lyrics from the stage at Super Bowl 60 — the horse was already out of the barn, so to speak.

Country rock star Kid Rock pointed viewers toward Jesus and the Gospel during his set on Sunday as the headliner at the TPUSA All-American Halftime Show. 
The &#8220;Cowboy&#8221; singer delivered on all fronts as the alternative to the NFL’s Super Bowl halftime show that featured Bad Bunny, who performed his entire set in Spanish. The All-American Halftime Show drew millions of viewers eager for something different. 
Rock opened his set with his viral hit “Bawitdaba” from 1999. But later, the recording artist changed tracks entirely. As his set came to an end, Kid Rock came back out on stage and was reintroduced by his real name, Robert Ritchie. 
He said a new verse to Cody Johnson’s song “‘Til You Can’t” came to him one Sunday morning when &#8220;something or someone spoke to me.&#8221;
Ritchie said he believed there was “a verse that still needed to be written for this song.”
&#8220;There&#8217;s a book that&#8217;s sitting in your house somewhere that could use some dusting off,&#8221; he sang. &#8220;There&#8217;s a man that died for all our sins hanging from the cross. Millions of people tuned into the YouTube livestream, Charlie Kirk’s YouTube channel, and other partner sites streaming it, including DailyWire+. 
“We’re approaching this show like David and Goliath,” Kid Rock said in a statement before the show, The Daily Wire previously reported. “Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible, or is it? He said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool. We plan to play great songs for folks who love America.”

Millions of Americans tuned in to the Super Bowl as the event marked its 60th anniversary, but amid football’s biggest night, viewers were reminded of an even greater anniversary — America’s 250th birthday. This year, a primetime ad marked the year-long celebration of America’s semiquincentennial year.
The commercial opened on the Statue of Liberty before sweeping through defining moments in American history. Glimpses of the Wright brothers, Mount Rushmore, the Declaration of Independence, and George Washington crossing the Delaware were interwoven with scenes of modern innovation and technology.
“After 250 years, the American experiment still isn’t finished. It’s been built, tested, carried forward, and fought for,” the ad read. “And we passed it on, hand to hand, life to life. Generations ago ordinary people risked everything to begin it.”
Throughout the thirty seconds, the military threads the scenes together acting as a guardian of America’s progress. The commercial closed celebrating America’s past but also looking towards its future. “250 years later the work continues because freedom is worth it. This year America turns 250.”
The ad aired as a Super Bowl Public Service Announcement (PSA), typically reserved for campaigns aimed at education or social awareness and often produced pro bono by nonprofits or foundations. This time, however, NBC donated the coveted 30-second slot, an opportunity that usually costs around $8 million, to Freedom 250.
Non-partisan Freedom 250 is spearheading the Nation’s 250th birthday celebrations. The organization works in tandem with the White House Task Force 250, along with other federal agencies, to bring the nation’s birthday to life.
“Just as Super Bowl Sunday brings Americans together around a shared love of competition, tradition, and excellence, the 250th anniversary will unite our entire nation in celebration of the values and freedoms that make America exceptional,” said Freedom 250 CEO Keith Krach. “This is our moment to come together as one country and honor the American story and celebrate the bright future ahead.”
While Freedom 250 is hosting events to celebrate the nation all year long, the biggest bash will take place on July 4, 2026. At the National Mall in Washington, D.C. there will be military flyovers, notable speeches, headline performances, and an ending firework display. On the same day in New York, ships and naval vessels from more than thirty countries will into New York Harbor around the Statue of Liberty.
