A British university student collapsed and died after police initially handcuffed him instead of the man accused of stabbing him, according to reports and court testimony.
Finance student Henry Nowak, 18, was stabbed with an eight-inch ceremonial Sikh &#8220;shastar&#8221; blade in London after an encounter with Vikrum Digwa, 23, who is on trial for murder. Digwa told police that Nowak was a “drunken man” who “racially abused and attacked” him, <a href="https://www.dailymail.com/news/article-15818111/Sikh-man-stabbed-18-year-old-university-student-death-eight-inch-ceremonial-knife-claiming-hed-racially-abused-court-hears.html?ns_mchannel=rss&amp;ns_campaign=1490&amp;ito=social-twitter_mailonline">according</a> to the Daily Mail.
Police initially handcuffed Nowak after the December 2023 incident. Shortly after, he collapsed, prompting officers to begin emergency first aid. Despite efforts to save him, including a doctor flown in by helicopter, Nowak succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 12:37 am. 
Digwa is now on trial alongside his mother, who is accused of assisting her son after Nowak’s stabbing. 
Prosecutor Nicholas Lobbenberg rejected Digwa&#8217;s self-defense claim, telling jurors that “Henry drowned in his own blood&#8221; after the knife pierced his lung. He added that Digwa claimed he could not “recall exactly how the fatal wound came to be inflicted.”
Much of the incident was captured on video by Nowak before he died and is now being used as evidence in court. 
Nowak, who had been completing his first term studying accountancy and finance at Southampton University, had been out with friends before he was attacked. On his way home, he recorded Snapchat videos shortly before crossing paths with Digwa.
In one video shown in court, Digwa can allegedly be heard saying, “I am a bad man.” The footage abruptly cuts off when Nowak responds, “Are you a b….” 
Nowak sustained four stab wounds, including the one that punctured his lung. 
Police said after the fatal stabbing, Digwa’s mother, brother, and father arrived on the scene. Officers placed Digwa and his brother inside a police vehicle, where they said they overheard Digwa admit to the stabbing. 
Luddenberg told jurors that Digwa “told his brother he stabbed Henry three times. He didn’t mention racism or self-defense.” 
Digwa’s defense argued that he carried the knife for religious reasons. The trial is still underway.

Two Jewish men were stabbed by a 45-year-old man in London on Wednesday in what witnesses have described as a targeted attack. 
A knife-wielding man was detained after attacking men in Golders Green, a largely Jewish north London suburb, according to reports from the United Kingdom. Shomrim, a Jewish neighborhood patrol group, said the attacker was targeting “Jewish members of the public.”
The attacker was <a href="https://www.mynewsdesk.com/uk/metpoliceuk/news/man-arrested-after-two-stabbed-in-barnet-508805">running</a> through the neighborhood with a knife before being confronted by members of Shomrim. The attacker was later tased and arrested by police after attempting to stab responding officers. Police have labeled the attack as terrorism. 
The victims — one in his 30s and the other in his 70s — were treated at the scene by Hatzola, a local volunteer medical group. They have since been transported to the hospital in stable condition. 
Police have arrested the man on suspicion of attempted murder and said they are trying to determine his nationality and background.  
“We are aware of the significant distress and concern this incident is likely to cause in the face of a number of incidents in the local area,” said Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams. “A suspect is in custody, and investigators are considering all possible motives.
The stabbing spree followed a suspected arson attack in the neighborhood on Monday. 
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer <a href="https://x.com/Keir_Starmer/status/2049460049139900719">called</a> the attack “utterly appalling.” 
“Attacks on our Jewish community are attacks on Britain,” he said. “Thank you to Shomrim, Hatzola, and the police for acting swiftly. Those responsible will be brought to justice.”
London Mayor Sadiq Khan condemned the attack and said police “have stepped up high visibility patrols in the area.”
Member of Parliament Chris Philp said the British government was not doing enough to combat radical Islam. 
“This is yet another appalling antisemitic attack. The Jewish community are not being properly protected from this hate. We have seen Iran sponsoring antisemitic attacks and Islamist extremism run rampant,” he <a href="https://x.com/CPhilpOfficial/status/2049449357674484065">said</a>. “The government must urgently step up tangible actions against antisemitism, Iran, and Islamist extremism.”
One 30-year-old Jewish man told The Telegraph that the government had not done enough to protect his community.
“We used to feel very comfortable here. We thought we were safe and that the Government had our backs,&#8221; he <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04/29/two-men-stabbed-outside-golders-green-synagogue/">said</a>. &#8220;But so much has happened in the past few weeks and all we get is reassurances and words of condemnation from the prime minister.&#8221;
The attack comes as King Charles visits the United States and is set to visit the 9/11 Memorial in New York City on Wednesday.

The Kentucky man who killed 6-year-old Logan Tipton was freed 13 years early after state law labeled his assault convictions “non-violent,” despite the brutal nature of the crime.
According to investigators, Ronald Exantus, 42, broke into the Tipton family home in Woodford County, Kentucky, on the night of December 7, 2015, stabbing Tipton, who later died of his injuries, and assaulting the boy’s father and sibling. The story has drawn national outrage, as many Americans are questioning how a man who brutally killed a child could walk free after serving less than half of his 20-year term — all because his convictions were classified as “non-violent” under Kentucky law.
On Monday night, Daily Wire host Matt Walsh, who has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-case-of-the-child-killer-released-from-prison-just-got-even-more-insane?author=Matt+Walsh&amp;category=undefined&amp;elementPosition=6&amp;row=3&amp;rowHeadline=Latest+News&amp;rowType=Vertical+Carousel&amp;title=The+Case+Of+The+Child+Killer+Released+From+Prison+Just+Got+Even+More+Insane">focused</a> extensively on the story this week, reached out to the parole board that signed off on Exantus’ parole, seeking more information on how he was allowed to be released after serving less than half of his 20-year sentence. The parole board told Walsh that it had no choice but to release Exantus under state law, since he was found not guilty by reason of insanity for the murder, and his remaining convictions were classified as “non-violent” offenses.

“He stabbed a child to death and then went on to assault the entire family, and yet he is ‘non-violent’ under the law because he was only convicted of second degree assault,” <a href="https://x.com/MattWalshBlog/status/1975521642966102162">said</a> Walsh. “The murder didn’t count at all because he was ‘not guilty by reason of insanity.&#8217; That’s what we were told. Apparently Ronald Exantus &#8216;non-violently&#8217; stabbed a child to death and then stabbed the rest of the family after breaking into their home. If you think our criminal justice system is completely and totally broken, you don&#8217;t even know the half of it. It is so much worse than you think.”
Exantus was tried in 2018, but the jury deemed him mentally insane and did not convict him of murder. Instead, he was convicted on a lesser charge of second-degree assault for the attack on Tipton’s father and sibling and sentenced to 20 years in prison. The Kentucky Parole Board said in a statement that state law forced the board to sign off on Exantus’ release.
“Every time it had the opportunity, the Parole Board recommended Ronald Exantus stay in prison,” the board said. “Exantus was reviewed for parole on 09/30/2025, as required by state law. The Parole Board issued a decision that Exantus stay in prison for the remainder of his sentence. Despite this decision, Kentucky law required the Department of Corrections to release the inmate on Mandatory Reentry Supervision.”
Exantus’ release on parole does not mean he’s a free man. He will likely have parole conditions that he must follow, but the specifics of those conditions remain unclear. Walsh said that his team asked the Parole Board what the conditions would be, but the board did not respond.
After Exantus was released, Logan Tipton’s father, Dean, said the news dredged up the trauma his family had carried since the brutal killing nearly a decade ago.
“It’s crazy, it’s brought back a lot of emotions that I thought were gone, a lot of hurt, anguish,” Dean said. The father added that Exantus needs to be held accountable, whether he’s “insane or not.”
The case could also come under federal scrutiny, as the White House said over the weekend that it is looking into Exantus’ release. In a statement responding to one of Walsh’s social media posts about the story, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote, “I can confirm the White House is looking into this. It’s wholly unacceptable for a child killer to walk free after just several years in prison.”

Tipton’s mother, Heather, said it was a relief to see social media and the White House bring attention to their story, WKYT <a href="https://www.wkyt.com/2025/10/04/white-house-looking-into-decade-early-release-ronald-exantus/">reported</a>.
“My first reaction was, finally. We are finally, people are finally finding out about this,” she said. “You know, 10 years ago we tried to get the word out, but social media was not what it is now.”

Former NFL quarterback and current Fox Sports analyst Mark Sanchez was charged with battery after a fight in downtown Indianapolis that left him hospitalized with stab wounds on Saturday shortly after midnight, police and the TV network said.
Indianapolis police charged Sanchez, 38, with battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication, all misdemeanors. Sanchez is still in the hospital and was not booked in the county jail, police said in a statement, adding that final decisions on charges will be made by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
The prosecutor’s office did not immediately return a request for comment.
An earlier statement from Indianapolis police said two men were in a “physical disturbance” in downtown Indianapolis around 12:30 a.m., with one receiving stab wounds and the other cuts. A statement from Fox Sports said Sanchez was in stable condition in the hospital.

Sanchez played 10 seasons in the NFL, starting with the New York Jets for five years before short stints with several other franchises. He has not played in the National Football League since 2018.
He was slated to cover the Sunday game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Las Vegas Raiders, according to Fox Sports. “We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support,” the network said in a statement posted on X.
“Sending our thoughts and love to Mark Sanchez and his family. Hoping for a speedy recovery, 6,” said the Jets, referencing his jersey number.

President Donald Trump said on Wednesday morning that the repeat offender accused of stabbing 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska to death on a light rail train in Charlotte, North Carolina, should be executed.
Trump referred to 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr. as an &#8220;ANIMAL,&#8221; who &#8220;violently killed the beautiful young lady from Ukraine.&#8221; Brown was <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-charges-light-rail-attacker-federal-crime">charged</a> by the Justice Department with a federal crime on Tuesday in connection with the gruesome stabbing that was caught on camera.
&#8220;The ANIMAL who so violently killed the beautiful young lady from Ukraine, who came to America searching for peace and safety, should be given a &#8216;Quick&#8217; (there is no doubt!) Trial, and only awarded THE DEATH PENALTY. There can be no other option!!!&#8221; Trump <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115180060678818221">posted</a> on Truth Social.
The DOJ charged Brown with one count of committing an act causing death on a mass transportation system. The federal charge makes Brown eligible for the death penalty if he is convicted. Attorney General Pam Bondi said that the feds &#8220;will seek the maximum penalty for this unforgivable act of violence — he will never again see the light of day as a free man.”
Video footage of the deadly stabbing, which occurred in August, shows Brown standing up behind the young woman while holding a knife before plunging the weapon into Zarutska three times, with at least one stab to the neck. The man then walks toward the door of the train, with blood dripping off the knife.
The full video footage of the killing, which was released on Tuesday, showed Zarutska looking up in shock after being stabbed before she slumped to the floor, and blood pooled around her.
Brown has a long criminal rap sheet, with 14 previous arrests for offenses such as armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon, The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fatal-charlotte-stabbing-highlights-the-failure-of-racial-equity-policies">reported</a>. He served five years for the armed robbery, but he avoided jail time after most of his other arrests. Last year, Brown had run-ins with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department on at least three separate occasions, receiving referrals to resources and fines instead of jail time.
Trump has blasted Democratic policies following the fatal stabbing, saying that Zarutska&#8217;s blood &#8220;is on the hands of the Democrats who refuse to put bad people in jail.&#8221; The president has also criticized the legacy media over its lack of coverage of the killing. Some outlets, such as <a href="https://x.com/axios/status/1965010353353625669">Axios</a> and <a href="https://x.com/politico/status/1965218281830174835">POLITICO</a>, have focused on covering the Republican outrage instead of the stabbing itself or Brown&#8217;s criminal record.
“North Carolina, and every State, needs LAW AND ORDER, and only Republicans will deliver it! Additionally, where is the outrage from the Mainstream Media on this horrible tragedy?” Trump added.

It&#8217;s become perfectly predictable at this point.
Let&#8217;s say there&#8217;s a violent incident in which a black person and a white person get into conflict. Let&#8217;s say it&#8217;s the white person who ends up killing the black person. Even in a situation where the black person was actually performing an aggressive act and the white person was acting in defense of self or others in the situation, we get months of discussions about white on black violence.
If it&#8217;s Michael Brown, months and years of talk about white on black police and crime. Derek Chauvin, George Floyd. This is just the way it goes.
If, however, the crime is reversed, if it is a black perpetrator and a white victim, then, of course, it just disappears into the ether and we never hear about it again. The latest case of this happens to be this horrifying video out of North Carolina.

The <a href="https://www.wbtv.com/2025/09/05/light-rail-stabbing-graphic-video-shows-moments-before-after-woman-killed-charlotte/">surveillance footage</a>, released Friday by the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS), shows Zarutska boarding the train in her pizzeria uniform at 9:46 p.m. and sitting, looking at her phone, unaware of the danger behind her.
Just four minutes later, 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr. allegedly whips out a folding knife and lunges forward, stabbing her three times, at least once in the neck, police said.
The chilling video then appears to show Brown walking through the rail car, stripping off his sweatshirt and waiting by the doors — as passengers began to notice blood dripping from him.</blockquote>
Zarutska, collapsed in her seat and was pronounced dead on the light rail train. Brown apparently got off at the next stop. A folding knife was later recovered near the platform.
There are a couple of issues here.
This particular perpetrator had multiple arrests dating back to 2011. His record included larceny, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and communicating threats.
The first issue has nothing to do with race. It has to do with our criminal justice system not keeping criminals in prison long enough. I know this cuts against the left-wing view that we are an “over-incarcerated” society.
Wrong. We&#8217;re a radically under-incarcerated society.

My point is not that we need more random misdemeanor defendants in jail — my point is that if someone is arrested for armed robbery, that person should be in jail for the rest of his or her life. They should not be let back out on the streets. It’s wrong to stick someone like that in jail for only three or four years, especially if they&#8217;re a homeless, mentally ill person, which is what this person was.
What we end up with is crime on the street. This idiocy where we arrest career criminals, take them off the streets for five minutes, and put them back on the streets is insane. It&#8217;s totally ridiculous and insane at every possible level. It gets human beings murdered. 
There are judges who give light sentences that allow for this catch-and-release nonsense. This process needs to be ended immediately.
Evil people need to go to jail forever. Forever. They should not be out. There&#8217;s a very, very high recidivism rate with regard to violent crime.
The second issue is the racial angle, which is less about race and more about media coverage of race. There are some people who will attempt to turn this into some sort of salient point about the difference between races.
Let&#8217;s be very clear. Crime is a result of individual evil human action. It is not inborn into any race. What you have in a lot of areas are different cultural orientations toward crime. This is just a reality. If you don&#8217;t have fathers in the home with high crime areas, if you have people who see other criminals around them acting like criminals, they act like criminals.
The media coverage is always radically disparate. If a white person commits a crime against a black person, it is a national news story. If a black person murders a white Ukrainian girl on the train in Charlotte, it gets zero mainstream media coverage.
Zero.
As of Sunday, The New York Times had not covered the story at all.

It is not out of line to point out the radical disparity in attention to these headlines. If you ask people who work in legacy media why they have their biases, they will say they don&#8217;t want to “reinforce stereotypes.”
The only stereotype that&#8217;s being reinforced when they don&#8217;t report the news is that the legacy media are trash, and they&#8217;re not giving you the full information.
Donald Trump Jr. <a href="https://x.com/DonaldJTrumpJr/status/1965016826141958650">noted</a>, “Strangely, all the clowns with Ukraine flags in their bio are also all silent on this one.”
What he means by that is that many of the people who have the Ukraine flags in their bio are people who are leftists, people who are oriented against the Trump administration. But when a Ukrainian woman gets killed on a subway by a black man, it turns out that the intersectional hierarchy has been upended.
And so they have to ignore the murder.
The bottom line here is, as always, legacy media are perfectly willing to overlook stories that do not match their narrative.
The death of this young woman will not become a national issue. It will not spur a national conversation about crime rates, about policing, or about people getting out too early on bail.
It won&#8217;t do any of those things because it doesn&#8217;t match up with the corrupt legacy media and what they wish the world were really all about.

A judge in Traverse City, Michigan, raised the bond for mass stabbing suspect Bradford James Gille to $1 million on Wednesday, following public <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/michigan-judge-blasted-for-low-bond-in-walmart-terror-stabbing-case">outcry</a> over a previous judge&#8217;s decision to set the bond at $100,000.
At a bond review hearing on Wednesday, Judge Michael Stepka of the 86th District Court pointed to the seriousness of the charges and the risk that Gille would potentially skip future court dates to justify the increase, The Detroit News <a href="https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/michigan/2025/07/30/walmart-stabbing-suspect-has-bond-increased-to-1-million/85447459007/">reported</a>. Stepka said that raising the bond &#8220;will assure the victims and the public in general that it&#8217;s unlikely Mr. Gille is going to get out.&#8221;
The day before Gille allegedly went on a stabbing rampage, wounding 11 people at a Traverse City Walmart last Saturday, authorities in Petoskey, Michigan — which is around 70 miles north of Traverse City — obtained a court order to place Gille in protective custody. The order was issued after Gille had multiple concerning encounters with Petoskey police, and authorities were actively searching for him when the mass stabbing took place.
The prosecution asked the judge during Wednesday&#8217;s hearing to completely revoke Gille&#8217;s bond, but Stepka said that Michigan&#8217;s Rules of Criminal Procedure require a defendant to be charged with murder or to have two previous convictions for violent felonies in the past 15 years for bond to be revoked, according to The Detroit News. Gille was charged with 11 counts of assault with intent to murder and terrorism. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Grand Traverse County Prosecutor Noelle R. Moeggenberg also argued for Gille&#8217;s bond to be revoked over a &#8220;gun gesture&#8221; that he allegedly made at a camera during his first court appearance earlier this week. Gille&#8217;s defense attorney, Janet Mistele, disputed Moeggenberg&#8217;s statement.
Mistele also said that neither Gille nor his family has the resources to secure his release under the $100,000 bond. Gille would have had to come up with $10,000 to secure release with a bail bondsman, but now he&#8217;ll have to post $100,000 to work out his release, which is extremely unlikely.
After Gille&#8217;s first court appearance in front of Magistrate Tammi Rodgers, the judge was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/michigan-judge-blasted-for-low-bond-in-walmart-terror-stabbing-case">criticized</a> for setting a $100,000 bond and telling him he could not visit any Walmart.
“Eligible for bond? This individual just went on a rampage, and by the grace of God didn’t end anyone’s life,” said Michigan state Senate Minority Leader and Republican gubernatorial candidate Aric Nesbitt. “Allowing him to be released into the community spits in the face of those who protect and serve, and only puts more people at risk.”
Gille has had multiple run-ins with law enforcement over the years. In 2017, he was found not guilty by reason of insanity after he was charged with dismembering and mutilating dead bodies he had dug up at a cemetery.
