A female middle school teacher in New Jersey has been charged with sexual assault after the school’s vice principal alerted authorities about an inappropriate relationship.
Allison Havemann-Niedrach, 43, has been charged with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to <a href="https://mcponj.org/2024/06/29/intermediate-school-teacher-charged-with-engaging-in-sexual-relationship-with-student/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a press release</a> from the Monmouth County prosecutor’s office.
Havemann-Niedrach was a special education teacher at Freehold Intermediate School, where she allegedly began courting a 15-year-old boy who was in the eighth grade. In early June, the school’s vice principal alerted authorities about Havemann-Niedrach and the student, with reports saying that she would bring the student food, eat lunch with him every day, and touch him inappropriately.
“The victim told a friend that he was dating a teacher,” Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Danielle Zanzuccki said in court, <a href="https://www.jerseyshoreonline.com/monmouth-county/teacher-on-home-detention-after-sex-charges/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to Jersey Shore Online</a>. “Another teacher reported that she witnessed the defendant rubbing the victim’s neck and back area in a circular motion and that she appeared to be flirting with him and noticed her touching his leg.”
The alleged victim’s mother was informed about the allegations, and she revealed that her daughter had seen her son sitting in the teacher’s car and had been on the phone late at night. The male student at first denied that he had any inappropriate relationship with Havemann-Niedrach, saying instead that he was dating her daughter. He agreed to let police search his phone, where they discovered more than 25,000 text messages between him and the teacher, including deleted messages that police were able to recover.
Days later, the student’s mother contacted police again, saying her son was afraid after turning over his phone. The student eventually admitted to his mother that he had a sexual relationship with Havemann-Niedrach, which he told police began in January of this year.
Zanzuccki said in court that the sexual activity took place at the teacher’s house.
“This was so much for this kid that he ended up having a mental health crisis in the middle of the investigation,” Zanzuccki told the court. “I would submit that she’s obsessed with this child.”
The student asked the police to keep his cell phone, believing it was the only way to stop communication with Havemann-Niedrach.
In addition to the text messages, sexually explicit photos and videos were exchanged between the two.
“There are photographs of a sexual nature passed between the two,” Zanzuccki said. “As well as a video of them engaging in sexual conduct.”
Havemann-Niedrach’s attorney, William Wackowski of the Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall, argued against pretrial detention, citing his client’s lack of a criminal record and said she wasn’t a flight risk. She was released to home detention at her parents’ house.
“She was a special education teacher,” Judge Vincent Falcetano said, according to JSO. “And should have known that that line is even closer than it is for a regular teacher.”
Havemann-Niedrach is married, has two children, and was previously <a href="https://www.jerseyshoreonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/girlsc1.jpg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">named</a> one of the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore’s 2017 Phenomenal Women Under 40.

On Wednesday, the 43-year-old socialite <a href="https://www.c-span.org/video/?536616-1/paris-hilton-testify-modernizing-child-welfare-programs&amp;live&amp;vod&amp;start=622">testified</a> before the House Ways and Means Committee as an advocate for modernizing Child Welfare programs as she spoke about her horrific experience in four different youth facilities, <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/06/26/paris-hilton-congress-abuse-youth-facilities">Axios</a> reported.
&#8220;When I was 16 years old, I was ripped from my bed in the middle of night and transported across state lines to the first of four residential facilities,&#8221; Hilton testified, <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2024/06/26/paris-hilton-testimony-congress-childhood-abuse/74218707007/">USA</a> noted.

“These programs promised healing, growth, and support, but instead, did not allow me to speak, move freely, or even look out a window for two years,&#8221; she added.

In a <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/voices/2022/05/11/paris-hilton-child-abuse-provo-canyon-school-troubled-teen/9664329002/">USA Today op-ed</a> in 2022, Hilton wrote about the horrible things she said happened to her when she was sent to Provo Canyon School where she claimed she was forced in the middle of the night to have numerous &#8220;sham&#8221; gynecological exams.
&#8220;I was repeatedly awakened by staff shining a bright flashlight in my face, pulled out of bed and told to be quiet as I was ushered down my dorm’s hallway to an &#8216;exam room,'&#8221; Hilton wrote. &#8220;Sleep-deprived and heavily medicated, I didn’t understand what was happening.&#8221;
&#8220;I was forced to lie on a padded table, spread my legs and submit to gynecological exams,&#8221; she added. &#8220;I remember crying while they held me down. I kept saying, &#8216;No!&#8217; and asking, &#8216;Why?&#8217; They just said, &#8216;Shut up. Be quiet. Stop struggling or you’ll go to Obs.'&#8221;
&#8220;Obs – short for observation – was solitary confinement in a tiny cinderblock room with nothing but a drain and a roll of toilet paper,&#8221; Hilton continued. &#8220;The room was freezing cold, and I was almost naked. I paced until I couldn’t stand up anymore. Then I huddled on the floor and rocked back and forth, forcing myself to think about the life I would create for myself after I got out.&#8221;

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/american-airlines" target="_blank" rel="noopener">American Airlines</a> is backing away from its court filing blaming a nine-year-old girl for not noticing the hidden camera a flight attendant allegedly planted in the aircraft&#8217;s bathroom.
A former American flight attendant is accused of taping his iPhone to the toilet seat and then luring young girls to use the airplane bathroom.
Attorneys for the airline initially blamed the child, saying in a court filing that any injuries the girl suffered were due to her “own fault and negligence, were proximately caused by [her] use of the compromised lavatory, which she knew or should have known contained a visible and illuminated recording device.”
On Thursday, however, the airline distanced itself from that accusation.
An American Airlines spokesperson <a href="https://apnews.com/article/american-airlines-blames-girl-hidden-camera-4b474bf3d8c8803872dbb7e12032d13e" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that external attorneys working for the airline had “made an error in this filing.”
“Our outside legal counsel retained with our insurance company made an error in this filing. The included defense is not representative of our airline and we have directed it be amended this morning,&#8221; the spokesperson said. &#8220;We do not believe this child is at fault and we take the allegations involving a former team member very seriously. Our core mission is to care for people — and the foundation of that is the safety and security of our customers and team.”
The 9-year-old’s family sued American Airlines after the FBI informed them that videos of their daughter were found on the former flight attendant&#8217;s phone. The family had flown from Texas to California last year.
The fired flight attendant, Estes Carter Thompson III, 36, pled not guilty this week to charges of attempted sexual exploitation of children and possession of images of child sexual abuse.

Thomas is accused of having recordings of four girls, including the nine-year-old, using bathrooms on flights. He is also accused of trying to secretly record a video of a 14-year-old girl using the bathroom on a flight from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Boston.
He was arrested in January and has remained in federal custody since then.
The court filing was amended on Wednesday. The new filing does not include the accusation that the girl&#8217;s injuries were her own fault. The case is making its way through a state district court in Austin.
On Tuesday, an attorney representing the 9-year-old, as well as the 14-year-old, excoriated the airline&#8217;s defense.
“To blame a 9 year old for being filmed while using the airplane bathroom is both shocking and outrageous,” attorney Paul Llewellyn <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/4678026-american-airlines-says-filing-blaming-9-year-old-in-bathroom-recording-case-was-an-error/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.
“In my opinion this is a depraved legal strategy that sinks to a new low. American Airlines should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves,” he added.
The 9-year-old’s mother <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/4678026-american-airlines-says-filing-blaming-9-year-old-in-bathroom-recording-case-was-an-error/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a statement through her attorney, “How in good conscience could they even make such a suggestion?”
Thompson is due in federal court in Boston on July 1.

A teenage foreign national in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/new-jersey" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Jersey</a> pled guilty this month to what one animal rights activist said was the &#8220;worst&#8221; case of animal cruelty she had ever seen in her 35 years of working to protect animals.
Bani J. Mezquititla, 19, pled guilty in Monmouth County Superior Court to two counts of animal cruelty, including Animal Cruelty by Tormenting, Torturing, or Unnecessarily or Cruelly Abusing a Living Animal Resulting in its Death, and Animal Cruelty by Using or Causing or Procuring the Use of an Animal or Creature in Any Kind of Sexual Manner, both third-degree crimes, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor&#8217;s Office.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) told The Daily Wire that the agency is involved in &#8220;investigating the case&#8221; to determine next steps regarding potential action from its Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) division.
The Asbury Park Press <a href="https://www.app.com/story/news/local/courts/2024/04/10/bani-mezquititla-facing-prison-raping-and-killing-pet-cat/73265476007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that Superior Court Judge Chad N. Cagan told Mezquititla that he faces deportation because of the criminal conviction.
Mezquititla kept his back to the courtroom gallery while admitting that he began raping his female cat from December 2022 until February 2023, the report said.
The Asbury Park Police Department launched its criminal investigation after Mezquititla&#8217;s roommate turned him in after Mezquititla showed her images of the cat being tortured and told her that he threw the cat out the window.
Mezquititla confessed to investigators that he pleasured himself in front of the cat before escalating the abuse to raping the cat with sharp objects and later raping using his genitals, according to a <a href="https://patch.com/new-jersey/asbury-park/asbury-park-man-admits-raping-torturing-killing-pet-cat" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> from the Asbury Park Patch. He also ejaculated inside the cat, the report said.
The animal was seriously injured, including &#8220;both vaginally and rectally,&#8221; from the raping, the report said.
When he was first arrested, law enforcement asked him if he had ever had sexual contact with the animal, to which he allegedly laughed and said: &#8220;No, I&#8217;m not a psycho.&#8221;

Law enforcement said that he repeatedly tortured the animal by creating a pulley device that he used to strangle the cat.
&#8220;He restrained her during the torture by binding her paws behind her back with miniature handcuffs,&#8221; the Asbury Park Press report said. &#8220;He also cut off her tongue and part of her jaw while she was still alive and took photographs and video of some of the torture.&#8221;
The videos showed the animal desperately gasping for air, shaking, and twitching.
A prosecutor on the case said, &#8220;You can see the cat struggling for its life and in the same picture you can see him smirking.&#8221;
Janine Motta, director of the Animal Protection League of New Jersey, said that this was &#8220;the worst [case] I&#8217;ve seen.&#8221;
Mezquititla was sentenced to the maximum of five years in prison for each charge, but as part of the plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend that the sentences are served concurrently, meaning that he would only serve a maximum of five years instead of 10.
He is also permanently banned from owning any animals.

Florida Governor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/ron-desantis" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ron DeSantis</a> signed several pieces of legislation into law this week aimed at protecting children from sex predators and enhancing penalties for other sexual crimes.
“In Florida, we let kids be kids, and we protect children from those who seek to harm them,” DeSantis said at a press conference. “Today’s anti-grooming legislation punishes those who seek to prey on children and rob them of their innocence. Florida will continue to be the best state in the country to raise a family.”
DeSantis&#8217; office highlighted the five bills signed into law, including:

<li>HB 1545, which protects children from grooming activities and other sexual offenses.</li>
<li>HB 1131, which establishes a grant program within the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to create online sting operations to target sexual predators.</li>
<li>HB 1235, which creates stricter guidelines for sex offender registration.</li>
<li>SB 1224, which strengthens the role of the Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office and implements new training requirements to ensure law enforcement properly assesses a domestic violence situation.</li>
<li>HB 305, which expands the evidence that can be presented to a jury in sex-abuse cases where the victim is a minor and increases penalties on those who take part in sex trafficking of minors.</li>

Regarding the laws that specifically target sexual offenses involving children, HB 1545 bans communication between an adult and a minor where a pattern is established that includes &#8220;explicit and detailed verbal descriptions of sexual activity.&#8221;
The law increases penalties for this type of child exploitation crime by making the crime a third degree felony.
HB 305 allows &#8220;a hearsay statement made by a minor, regardless of age, to be admitted as evidence,&#8221; the governor&#8217;s office said.

“Growing Pains” star <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kirk-cameron" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kirk Cameron</a> said the “dark,” “evil” and “twisted” revelations we’ve seen in the “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nickelodeon-star-melissa-joan-hart-responds-to-quiet-on-the-set-allegations-believe-them-100-percent" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Quiet on Set</a>: The Dark Side of Kids TV” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/former-nickelodeon-star-says-she-was-forced-to-kiss-30-year-old-man-as-a-teen-on-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">docuseries</a> have &#8220;been going on for a long time” in Hollywood.
Speaking to The Daily Wire, the 53-year-old actor said as a child working in Hollywood he definitely witnessed the “disturbing” behavior by those in the business, including his former personal dialogue coach on “Growing Pains” Brian Peck, the convicted sex offender named in the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/new-documentary-uncovers-child-abuse-at-nickelodeon" target="_blank" rel="noopener">series</a>. Peck was arrested, charged with sexual abuse crimes, and ordered to register as a sex offender, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/former-nickelodeon-star-drake-bell-details-alleged-sexual-abuse-by-dialogue-coach-it-was-extensive-and-brutal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
“So, the evil, the darkness, the twisted sickness of Hollywood has been going on for a long time,” Cameron told us. “I started acting when I was 9-years-old. I began ‘Growing Pains’ at 14-years-old. And I was suspicious that that stuff was going on behind the curtains even when I was working on ‘Growing Pains.’”
“And there were several young boys like us [Cameron and Leonardo DiCaprio] that he [Peck] interacted with on a regular basis,” Cameron said. “So, it’s shocking. It’s sickening.
In one of the episodes of the shocking documentary — which alleges abuse and a toxic work environment behind the scenes at Nickelodeon — a clip played from “Growing Pains” showing a young DiCaprio with Peck constantly rubbing the young star’s arms and touching him. Cameron said that’s exactly how he recalled Peck behaving and just remembered “that’s the kind of thing you would see and make you pause and go ‘there’s a little flag on the field,’ but not enough to prove something worse.”

The Hollywood star shared that at the same time he worked on “Growing Pains” (1985 &#8211; 1992) with Peck, the executive producer and showrunner was Steven Marshall. In 2010, Marshall was arrested and convicted for possession and distribution of child pornography, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2010/03/16/growing-pains-producer-sentenced-for-child-porn/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Post</a> reported.
He served 7½ years in federal prison after he was <a href="https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2010/mar/17/child-porn-gets-ex-tv-exec-prison-20100317/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">arrested</a> by an undercover federal agent who was posing as a pedophile. In Marshall’s chats with the agent, the former TV producer would <a href="https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2010/mar/17/child-porn-gets-ex-tv-exec-prison-20100317/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">brag</a> about “child abduction, bondage, rapes and murders,” the outlet noted. It came out later in court that the exec. producer never actually had “physical contact” with any of the kids he bragged about doing vile things to, Cameron noted.
“Thank God I got out of there unscathed in the 1980s,” Cameron said. “Those people who did this stuff to these kids are the same kind of people in the industry today. Still making twisted, sick, perverted material that’s hurting children today. And they need to be completely rooted out and replaced.”
“But it’s too late,” Cameron continued. “These children, like Drake Bell &#8230; they have scars that they will carry with them permanently throughout their life.”
Cameron also mentioned he recently spoke with former producers and writers of the show about working with Peck and Marshall, recalling their behavior on set.
“And the consensus was these individuals were charming, they ingratiated themselves into their victims’ lives and were generally likable people when they were putting the ‘nice guy’ face on,” Cameron said.
“But there was … always something smarmy about them,” he added. “You know it was like your ‘Spidey-senses’ told you something’s not right. They were handsy and physical in a smarmy kind of way. But not so overt that you could totally detect what was happening.”
Cameron said he “absolutely” credited his parents with keeping him safe in the predatory environment, adding, “My mom was on the set every day when I was a minor on ‘Growing Pains.’” He also credited his former “cast and crew” who served as additional sets of “guardians.”

When asked if he thinks Hollywood protects the predator instead of the survivor, the longtime actor said what we are seeing now “ … is an industry that tries to indemnify, exonerate the very pedophiles that we say we want to get rid of, because they are the pedophiles.”
When asked about the letters of support written in defense of Peck by his former on-screen parents, Alan Thicke and Joanna Kerns, Cameron noted, “Nobody wants to believe that the fun, charming, dialogue coach who’s ingratiated himself into the lives of others — almost to the point of being a trusted family friend — would do something so wicked and evil.”
The letters were used by Peck’s attorneys before he was convicted of sexually assaulting a minor. Kearns has since walked back her letter of support. Thicke, however, passed away in 2016.
Following the documentary’s release, former child star Bell came forward and said he was the John Doe from a sexual abuse case from 2004 involving former Nickelodeon dialogue coach Peck. Peck pleaded no contest to the charges, was sentenced to 16 months in prison, and ordered to register as a sex offender, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/former-nickelodeon-star-drake-bell-details-alleged-sexual-abuse-by-dialogue-coach-it-was-extensive-and-brutal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Docuseries contributors also spoke frequently about former Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider, who they said perpetrated abuse by acting in a controlling manner and making sexually suggestive jokes, some of which were used in children’s programming. They also alleged that Schneider was filmed in a hot tub with then-16-year-old actress Amanda Bynes.
“I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology,” Schneider said in a statement following the release of “Quiet on Set.”

The “Lifemark” star talked about the massive increase in LGBTQ programming targeting children from places like Disney, Cartoon Network and Netflix, and said they are no longer hiding their agenda.
“Openly sharing their agenda &#8230; giddy with excitement trying to add as much ‘queerness’ to their content as they can over time,” the actor said. “Before it was sort of hidden, under the radar. But now it’s wide open. They’ve gotten themselves intoxicated with their own perversion and they are so drunk on it that they don’t even know what’s wrong.”
Cameron said he “one hundred percent” thinks the lack of faith in Hollywood led to the darkness.
“The problem is when you take God out of Hollywood or politics they become corrupted.”
It is those experiences the actor went through and the things he’s learned since about the people he worked with that he said motivates him to be part of the solution, to create a safe working environment for kids and children’s programming like he had when he was growing up.

“God has exposed them,” he added. “He’s drug the evil out into the middle of the street in broad daylight and this is the time for brave Americans to take charge of their children’s entertainment and their education and start doing something about it.”

The 41-year-old actress &#8212; who has been working in the entertainment industry since she was 3-years-old &#8212; told the <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/films/0/kirsten-dunst-interview-civil-war-male-directors/">Telegraph</a> that her protective mother, Inez, never let her out of her sight.
&#8220;I was only able to avoid that predatory side of the business because wherever I went, my mother was literally always right there,&#8221; Dunst said.
However, the &#8220;Spider-Man 2&#8221; star said she wasn&#8217;t able to completely avoid the dark side of Hollywood before she became an adult and recalled a director asking her when she was 16 an &#8220;inappropriate&#8221; question during auditions.
&#8220;A male director had me in his office, by myself, and was asking me about this movie he wanted me for, and then, completely out of the blue, asked me this inappropriate question,&#8221; Dunst told the outlet, without describing what happened further.

&#8220;The industry is not regulated, and it&#8217;s a widely known secret that if you&#8217;re hired on a job, you&#8217;re basically being passed off to a photographer to be trafficked,&#8221; Ritchson said.
&#8220;The number of times and situations where I was put in horrific environments where sexual abuse was the goal and the paycheck that you were desperate for in order to survive was the carrot, I can&#8217;t count on two hands,&#8221; he added. &#8220;It was quite often.&#8221;

&#8220;I was sent into a hotel room to do nudes with the promise that if I did the shoot, he would offer me a very lucrative campaign for a magazine and a clothing line,&#8221; the actor said. &#8220;I was sexually assaulted by this guy.&#8221;

&#8220;I left and drove straight to the agency that I was at in L.A,&#8221; he added. &#8220;I stormed in and said, &#8216;F*** you for sending me there. You knew what was going to happen, and you did it anyway.'&#8221;
&#8220;I told them to never call me again,” the actor continued. &#8220;I quit the industry and it was the last photo shoot I&#8217;ve ever had. Those pictures were never seen or published. That was it. I swore it off and thank God acting found me at the exact same time so I was able to make a switch to a new career, but it left some scars.&#8221;
After the abuse he said he endured and the demise of a business partnership, he experienced &#8220;an existential crisis&#8221; that he said lead to a suicide attempt in 2019.
&#8220;I hung myself. It all happened so fast, and I was dangling there,&#8221; Ritchson said, adding that it was the vision of his three children as grown adults that saved him. &#8220;They calmly asked me not to do it, and told me that they wanted me to be here, alive and part of their lives.&#8221;
The Amazon Prime star said he then pulled himself up off the rafters before he blacked out. &#8220;I was diagnosed as bipolar right after,&#8221; he added. &#8220;Deep down, I was comforted to know, &#8216;OK, there’s a name for this.'&#8221;
&#8220;I came out of that whole thing asking myself, &#8216;OK, if I am going to choose to be alive here &#8212; a decision we all make, some to a greater degree than others &#8212; what am I doing?” Ritchson continued. “Why am I here?&#8217; What I kept falling back on was the meaning and purpose of life as someone who believes that there is a creator and we are created beings, our purpose in life is, without qualification, to make the world a better place and serve others. That is what life is all about.&#8221;

A woman who was held hostage by Palestinian Islamic terrorists inside <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/gaza" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gaza</a> for two months told her story of being sexually abused in a forthcoming documentary.
Amit Soussana was kidnapped from her home by nearly a dozen men during Hamas&#8217; October 7 attack on Israel. She told her story to a documentary crew hired by Sheryl Sandberg, former chief operating officer of Facebook.
CNN&#8217;s Jake Tapper previewed the documentary — &#8220;Screams Before Silence&#8221; — on Tuesday afternoon during a segment of &#8220;The Lead.&#8221;
&#8220;I was chained for three weeks in Gaza. I was kept in a really dark room without being able to move. And whenever I needed to go and use the bathroom, I needed to ask for permission,&#8221; Soussana said. &#8220;His name was Muhammad. He used to sit on the bed in front of me wearing his shorts and laying down. I remember I couldn&#8217;t look at him. I was just like looking away and covering myself with a blanket so I wouldn&#8217;t have to look at him. It made me feel really uncomfortable.&#8221;
&#8220;He also kept asking me, do I like sex? Do I have sex with my boyfriend? And whenever he talked about it, I just giggled and said, &#8216;Oh, come on, stop, stop,&#8217; trying to change the subject. I knew that he is up to something. I knew that something bad is going to happen,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;So one day, Muhammad came and gave me woman&#8217;s sanitary pads. He said, &#8216;Blood, blood. When you get your period, after that, you&#8217;ll take a shower and you&#8217;ll wash your clothes.&#8217; And he kept repeating that couple of times a day. And then I got my period, and the period was just for one day, but I fooled him to think that the period is continuing until I could not lie anymore.&#8221;
She said that he eventually took her to the kitchen and showed her a pot.
&#8220;I remember thinking, how can I avoid that? There&#8217;s nothing I can do,&#8221; she said.
The preview ended there and Sandberg went on to state that Soussana had been beaten and sexually abused at gunpoint by the terrorists.

The Bad Boy Records founder has been making headlines all week following the Department of Homeland Security serving search warrants at Combs&#8217; multiple homes. He also faces sexual assault lawsuits from five different people dating back to last year. Two of the complaints also include sex trafficking allegations.
TMZ <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2024/03/28/diddy-feds-subpoenas-companies-sex-trafficking-investigation-raids/">reported</a> last week that companies doing business with Combs, including a private charter jet firm, phone provider, and computer specialists, were being issued subpoenas during the investigation. 
Diddy’s lawyers condemned the raids on his properties. &#8220;There was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences,&#8221; lawyer Aaron Dyer said in a statement, per <a href="https://people.com/diddy-returns-to-instagram-after-home-raids-with-easter-photo-of-daughter-love-8621850">People</a>. &#8220;There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.&#8221;
&#8220;This unprecedented ambush — paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence — leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits,&#8221; Dyer continued, adding that “there has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. “For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy,” Combs said in December.

You can tell someone has real power when they do something that&#8217;s obviously wrong, maybe even illegal, for a very long time — and yet they make no effort to hide it whatsoever. In the entertainment industry, Harvey Weinstein is of course one of the most prominent examples. His behavior was an open secret in Hollywood for three decades, to the point they were <a href="https://globalnews.ca/video/3796515/seth-macfarlane-jokes-about-weinstein-alleged-sexual-abuses-during-2013-oscar-nominations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">making jokes</a> about it during the Oscars. But nothing was done about it until just a few years ago.
Unfortunately, the process of taking down Harvey Weinstein involved a much larger, extraordinarily destructive movement called &#8220;Me Too,&#8221; which did far more harm than good. I won&#8217;t recount all of the problems of that particular movement; I&#8217;ve discussed all of that before.
But one major issue with &#8220;Me Too&#8221; is coming to light very plainly now, which is that the movement conspicuously left pedophiles pretty much unscathed. And you know that because, to this day, you still aren&#8217;t allowed to talk about the pedophilia that&#8217;s rampant in elite circles. You can complain about so-called “toxic masculinity” and misogyny all you want. But if you bring up the topic of pedophilia, the Left treats you as a &#8220;Q-Anon&#8221; conspiracy theorist. Using words like &#8220;groomer&#8221; is prohibited on many social media platforms. How dare you suggest that pedophiles have infested Hollywood, the education system, and the media? You must be crazy. That&#8217;s hate speech.
They&#8217;ll make that claim despite the fact that the sexualization and mistreatment of children has been on display, for decades, in mainstream children&#8217;s entertainment. And now it&#8217;s getting a lot of new exposure. 
The first episodes of a new documentary series exposing the inner workings of Nickelodeon — the children’s network that most people my age grew up watching in the 90s and early 2000s — called &#8220;<a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt31193442/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV</a>,&#8221; just premiered. It&#8217;s worth watching because it&#8217;s one of the few well-researched, effectively produced looks into how the entertainment industry abuses children. 
But the incredible thing is that Nickelodeon wasn&#8217;t really hiding what they were doing. Some of the most perverse parts of this documentary are scenes that Nickelodeon aired publicly, or <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-11113297/Disturbing-video-shows-Ariana-Grande-sexualized-teen-Nickelodeons-Victorious.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">uploaded</a> to the internet, many years ago. For example, take a look at these sequences from a show called &#8220;Victorious,&#8221; featuring a young Ariana Grande. It&#8217;s a teen sitcom created by former Nickelodeon bigwig Dan Schneider that premiered more than a decade ago on Nickelodeon. 
The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vl0OuXw_mTM" target="_blank" rel="noopener">videos</a> received a lot of <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/tv/story/2022-08-16/ariana-grande-nickelodeon-the-slap-sexualized-jennette-mccurdy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">attention</a> when they resurfaced in 2019, but it&#8217;s important to see them again to understand the new accusations against Schneider — who also created many other hit shows like &#8220;iCarly.&#8221; Watch:

To be clear, these videos were posted online by Nickelodeon, which has a core audience of young children. They created this content to promote their show on the internet. And these videos are unambiguously, deliberately intended to be as suggestive as possible. They&#8217;re well past any pretense of plausible deniability. That&#8217;s how brazen this operation was.
But even after the uproar a few years ago, there still wasn&#8217;t a whole lot of in-depth reporting about what exactly Dan Schneider was doing at Nickelodeon. One of Grande&#8217;s co-stars, Jennette McCurdy, wrote a memoir titled &#8220;<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Im-Glad-My-Mom-Died/dp/1982185821" target="_blank" rel="noopener">I&#8217;m Glad My Mom Died</a>,&#8221; describing her abuse at Nickelodeon, but generally speaking, Schneider himself escaped in-depth scrutiny.
That was a big oversight because anyone who&#8217;s willing to produce this kind of content for young children is obviously someone who needs to be investigated very thoroughly. Firing him should not have been the end of it. But for a while, it was. Now, though, we have a better idea of what was going on. 
One of the sequences that &#8220;Quiet on Set&#8221; has highlighted is this behind-the-scenes footage from 2002, in which Schneider sits in a jacuzzi with Amanda Bynes, who was 16-years-old at the time. In the footage, Schneider is fully clothed, while Bynes is in a bathing suit. Watch:

As they talk about in the documentary at some length, this is a very twisted kind of power play. There&#8217;s no legitimate reason for the executive producer of this show to be in a jacuzzi with an underage actress, having her explain to the camera that he controls everything she says. There&#8217;s certainly no reason for him to eat spaghetti with her, even if he does happen to be obese. 
But as you watch the documentary, it becomes clear that this kind of behavior was open and notorious on Nickelodeon&#8217;s sets. There are extensive interviews with cast members and staff of shows like &#8220;All That&#8221; and &#8220;The Amanda Show,&#8221; which go into extensive detail about how pervasive this problem was. At one point in the film, former Nickelodeon employees describe how Schneider thought it would be funny to have a young actress use the name &#8220;Taynt&#8221; on-air. Watch:

This is Schneider&#8217;s M.O. If you watch just the first episode of this documentary series, that will become very clear. For example, employees also discuss how he instructed his subordinates to describe themselves in demeaning terms — including as &#8220;sluts&#8221; — for his personal amusement. Watch:

As that segment goes on, the employees claim that Schneider would often offer money to induce his subordinates to do degrading tasks — like gorging themselves on gallons of ice cream — only to refuse payment when they tried to collect.
For his part, not surprisingly, Schneider denies all of these accusations. He hasn&#8217;t been charged or convicted of any crime. But even so, there is clear evidence that serious child abuse did occur at the company. And the documentary covers that abuse, too. 
For example, in later episodes of the documentary, former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/former-nickelodeon-star-drake-bell-details-alleged-sexual-abuse-by-dialogue-coach-it-was-extensive-and-brutal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">comes forward</a> on-camera to say that he was sexually assaulted when he was 15-years-old by Brian Peck, a.k.a. &#8220;Pickle Boy,&#8221; who worked on the &#8220;Amanda Show&#8221; (the same show as the jacuzzi scene). Peck was arrested back in 2003 on 11 charges relating to this abuse, including sodomy and committing a lewd act upon a child aged 14 or 15 by a person 10 years older. There was also a charge for &#8220;oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance.&#8221; Peck pleaded no contest to the charges and was sentenced to only 16 months in prison at the time. I&#8217;ll say that again. He spent less than two years in prison. Bell&#8217;s name was concealed during the trial, but now, many years later, he&#8217;s come forward to identify himself.
In the second episode of the documentary, Brian Peck is described as doing something similar to what Schneider did — trying to get profane jokes on-air, at the expense of children:

The final episodes of the documentary aren&#8217;t available yet, so we don&#8217;t have the full details of what Peck did. We don&#8217;t have the interview with his alleged victim yet. But it is suggested in that episode that, after Peck was arrested, Nickelodeon higher-ups (not including Schneider apparently) called a meeting with the child actors. They didn&#8217;t let their parents participate. They got the children alone, and told them that Peck wasn&#8217;t going to be around anymore. They asked if anyone had anything to say — almost as if they wanted to get the jump on any misconduct allegations.
There was reason for those executives to be worried, because Peck wasn&#8217;t the wasn&#8217;t the only sexual abuser at Nickelodeon during this period. 
The documentary also goes into some detail about the disturbing case of Jason Handy, who worked as a production assistant on both &#8220;The Amanda Show&#8221; and &#8220;All That.&#8221; Handy allegedly sent a picture of himself masturbating to an 11-year-old girl he was working with, who was working on &#8220;The Amanda Show&#8221; at the time. Handy, like Peck, was arrested in 2003. Watch:

These are accusations that are far more serious than what Dan Schneider is accused of. But they&#8217;re part of the same general pattern of behavior that involves demeaning and sexualizing children. This is what was going on internally at the most popular children&#8217;s channel on the planet.
It&#8217;s still an extremely popular network, of course. And that leaves reasonable people to wonder whether sexual perverts are still trying to pollute the minds of children. Previously, I&#8217;ve <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/paw-patrol-indoctrinates-pre-schoolers-with-radical-lgbt-propaganda" target="_blank" rel="noopener">covered</a> Nickelodeon&#8217;s &#8220;Paw Patrol&#8221; spin-off, which recently hired a radical leftist writer who likes to teach children about abortions, among other things. Maybe in 20 years, we&#8217;ll learn the inside story as to why exactly that woman was hired.
But really, we don&#8217;t need to wait that long. Simply put, there&#8217;s no way a man like Dan Schneider could operate so openly, for so long, if he wasn&#8217;t part of a much larger systemic problem. This is a problem that can&#8217;t be solved by arresting a couple of production assistants and firing Dan Schneider, although that’s a good place to start. The only way to solve it is to do what the parents of these child actors should have done a long time ago, which is to keep your children as far away from corporate children’s programming as possible.
